Error in ODS activation : URGENT

Hi !
ODS object 0FIAP_O03 was built incorrectly. Cannot update request REQU_CAZ1PIIRCEYV2WX9Z3H7MIZBU
Diagnosis
 The data request was a delta update, meaning, the data basis in the
 source system has not changed since the last update.
System response
 Info IDoc received with status 8.
Procedure
 Check the data basis in the source system.
Could any body suggest what should I do ?

try to delete the first initialization and then load it again. After this delta upload will function. I had the same trouble.

I raised an OSS messsage and waiting from reply.
The ODS fetch the data from 6 sources. all the 5 sources data is correctly updating in the ODS. I have ODS activation problem with only one soure data.

Error in ODS Activation

Hi Friends,
I got error when the ODS activating in Process Chain.
The Error Messages are
1. Inconsistent aggregation behavior - activation will be terminated.
2 Activation of M records from DataStore object 0PUR_DS03 terminated
in the data target (ODS) the request are in Red but activated as it is showing Request For Reporting Available flag having Query symbol..means the requests are available for reporting.
What should be the possible reason
How should i rectify it.

I have activated ODS manually yesterday. the chain ran today.
But today i got the below error while data is loading into ODS.
Error Message Below.
Runtime Errors         RAISE_EXCEPTION
Date and Time          07.04.2009 03:43:06

     Exception condition "NOT_EXIST" raised.
What happened?
     The current ABAP/4 program encountered an unexpected
     situation.
What can you do?
     Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
     To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
     administrator.
     Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
     at and manage termination messages, and you can also
     keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
     A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLRSSM" raised the exception
     condition "NOT_EXIST".
     Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior
     program, processing was terminated.
     Short description of exception condition:
For detailed documentation of the exception condition, use
Transaction SE37 (Function Library). You can take the called
function module from the display of active calls.
Please sugeest to resolve the problem

Error in ODS activation due to # character

For last two days I have been getting the error in the process chain. The process chain stops at ODS activation because the data contains '#'. I have gone SAP Note 173241, which says that # value is allowed in data. Is there any way to remove # from the data. Thanks in advance

It could be hexadecimal char in the load it would display as '#' but actually it would be some hexa char.
Either you can track it based on the log and edit in PSA and see if you can correct it in R3 as well.
We do have some of those come in our various desc fields, just modified a simple FM to strip our the not allowable char that are not in RSKC.
let me know if u need the FM i'm using to strip out hexa

ABAP/4 processor: RAISE_EXCEPTION error while ODS Activation

We are facing the problem with ODS Activation.
While ODS activation, we are getting error - "ABAP/4 processor: RAISE_EXCEPTION" very frequently .

Error during ODS activation- request deletion

Hello Gurus,
We had a problem during ODS activation, could you please help?
We are on BW 3.1
Activation of an ODS failed with the message, "Fiscal year variant MC is not maintained for calendar year 2009u201D, u201CError getting SID for ODS object ZODS_O02u201D and u201CError when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT table 0FISCPER."
The expected data for 2009 didn't arrive, so the activation step in the proces chain has failed.
What I've done is, just deleted the request from the ODS.
But while this job was running, there was a short dump, and the same job was shown as cancalled under SM37. Though the request was successfully deleted from the ODS, it is showing as cancelled in SM37.
I've given below the log details of the job.

Hi,
As an help i suggest you can first check the corresponding message for the "Message type X" in transaction se91.
Follow the below procedure for the same :
1.Execute ST22 > Double click on any entries
2.Go to Source Code Extract
3.Locate u201C>>>>u201D and you will see Message
i.e Message X041 (XX) in this example.
- XX is the message class
- 041 is the message class no. in the example above.
4.Now open SE91.Enter the details we found from Source
Code extract in ST22.Click Display
5.Find the corresponding message.
May be the message could much more elaborate your problem so it could be handeled properly.

Invalid characters error while ODS activation

I have 2 queries regarding Invalid characters
1) I got following error while activating ODS.
Value 'HYDERABAD - IV COMMISSIONERATE ' (hex. '485944455241424144202D204956A020434F4D4D495353494F') of characteristic ZEXCRG contains invalid characters
 I added space (ALT+255) in RSKC as suggested in other threads and activated the ODS.('-' is already there in RSKC).
Above record did not give any error but got the same error for another record.
Value 'SURAT II ' (hex. '53555241542096204949 ') of characteristic ZEXCRG contains invalid characters
 Can anybody tell me why there is difference between in representation(HEX) of same char and which char should I add to RSKC to solve the error?
2) RSKC_ALLOWED_CHAR_GET lists the space as default allowed char, so why do I need to add the same again?

go to RSKC: do a ALL_CAPITAL. then do the permitted charcters in BW(do a F1 and copy all and paste). also, please be advised that add ~ (tilda) and take a closer look at the error you got and insert that there.

I am getting the Invalid charcterisitc error while Activating ODS. This ODS consists 0vendor as attribute of 0material.
Now I have checked the entires for this 0vendor with respective 0material and there is no entires found for Vendor. Then where should I change invalid char for vendor.

I am getting the following error while activating the DSO (we are using BI 7.0).
Value 're1090' (hex. '007200650031003000390030') of characteristic 0VENDOR contains invalid characters
I could not find Invalid char in PSA as 0Vendor is an attribute for 0material.
My concerns are:
1) If 0vendor is having Invalid Char the load should fail when we are loading data for 0Material.
2) As per the error message I could not find any Invalid char to find out.
3) Where should I change this Invalid char (0Vendor / 0materail).

ODS activation(urgent Prodution Issue)

Hello Gurus,
I had loaded full upload from R/3 to ODS(ODS1) 
then in BW system ODS1 to ODS (ODSM)
where this is the process:
R/3 > BW ODS1(full load)-> BW ODSM (init load)

My Issue:
while I tried to load from ODS1 to ODSM in BW i am getting as error as below
Error Message
>Errors in source system
>Error 8 when starting the extraction program

Details Tab
>Extraction (messages): Errors occurred
> Error occurred in the data selection
Where i deleted the error load in ODSM and i tried to schedule again where it gave a message
Delete init. request
REQU_AIS45B2I7N6FU2G3WAT60NPEU before running init. again with same selection

Dear Sandy,
You are getting error while loading from ods to another ods right?
After loading to First ods right click say generate export datasource then the source for target ods will create then make sure that the target ods update rule is active. Just replicate the local source connection in RSA1->Src Systems.
Then goto se38 execute RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL program it will ask infosource and source system, give 8ods1(8 with ur firstods) as infosource and local src system tech name ( u can see that in rsa1->src systems. execute that program. Then delete error intial request and load the data.
Make sure that target ods update rule is active.
Assign points if it solves ur problem............

I am facing similar problem in the 0FIAP_O03 ODS.
One particular value 'CC ·µÐ¼þ' for field 0REF_DOC_NO gives error in Activation.0REF_DOC_NUM does not have any masterdata but the SID table is exists. We have ALL_CAPITAL in RSKC.
One strage observation was when I tried loading this value[value copied from the error message in a PSA] in Developement Box it was successfull.
I Do not understand if I am missing some setting in Production.
The Errors are
BRAIN 60 Value 'CC ·µÐ¼þ' (hex. '434320B7B5D0ADBCFE') of characteristic 0REF_DOC_NO contains invalid charact
RSDRO 303 Error when assigning SID (details in long text)
The SID did not get created in Prod but was created in Dev. ODS is available for reporting and it has to remain such.
If you have any Insights please help me as well.

Error During ODS activation

Hi Experts:
                I am loading data to ODS. From R/3 to Data Source (PSA) data gets loaded without any problem at all. But during activation in ODS, it fails.
I am getting the following error:
Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT table 0POSTXT Message no. RSDRO302
Value '#' (hex. '23') of characteristic 0POSTXT contains invalid characters Message no. BRAIN059
Process 000046 returned with errors Message no. RSODSO_PROCESSING006
Now I checked in PSA, I did not see any # sign any where. Plz help me with this.

Try writing following code in the udpate routine of 0postxt.
replace all occurence of '#' in 0postxt with '-'.
Also , some logic like following can be built for entries which have blank line item text .
   if 0postxt = space .
              0postxt = ' -' .
           endif.

take a look oss note 597326-Activating ODS: Error when creating the export DataSource.
base on that note, the activation error coz dependent object(s)-infoobjects not active, to eliminate the error we have to first have all the objects active. you may try in business content installation, collection mode 'manual', put 0CFM_O01, grouping 'only necessary objects', right click 0CFM_O01 and choose 'install all below' then 'install'. hope this helps.

When you activate or transport ODS objects, the following errors appear in the log:
"The creation of the export DataSource failed". Message number RSBM 035
"Error &1 in function module &2". Message number RSBM 006
"Error when creating the export DataSource and dependent Objects". Message number RSDODSO 169
"Error when activating the ODS object &1". Message number RSDODSO 168
Other terms
RSBM 035, RSBM 006, RSDODSO 169, RSDODSO 168
Reason and Prerequisites
A characteristic involved is active but it is using new or inactive attributes.
Characteristics involved are all characteristics used in the ODS object.
Solution
Check all characteristics involved as described in the following:
Check the Compounding and Attributes tabs in the characteristics maintenance.
All characteristics here must be active. This is displayed by a green icon.
If this is not the case for a characteristic involved (a gray icon is displayed on one of the two tabs), activate the characteristic involved. This also activates the inactive dependent characteristics.
After you have checked and repaired all the characteristics involved as described above, the loading/maintenance of master data should work again.

Error in ODS activation in process chain

I am getting errors when activating request using process chains.
Error message is Message No. RSM1102.
Please suggest if any notes apply for this.

Hi,
This happens when data is not acceptable to ODS definition. Data need to be corrected in PSA.
Check for Infoobject which has caused this problem in the monitor details tabstrip. Delete request from datatarget after changing QM status to red. Correct data in PSA and update data back to datatarget from PSA.

Runtime Error during ODS Activation: UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION, Exception - CX_PARAMETER_INVALID_RANGE

Hi,
I was trying to activate an ODS while loading the data from a FlatFile using SAP BW 7.4.
The Data was loaded completely in correct format in the PSA and also into the New Data and Change log tables in the ODS.
But when trying to activate the ODS, it shows me an error.
The description of the RunTime exception is :
"An exception has occurred which is explained in more detail below. The exception is assigned to class 'CX_PARAMETER_INVALID_RANGE' and was not caught
in procedure "GET_NEXT_PACKAGE" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause. Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated this exception, the current program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is: Parameter has invalid value: Parameter IM_TEMPERATURE has invalid value 01011900."
Can you please help me solving this issue?

The message seems to be soft clear, and near of a bad value format, a parameter bad informed.
"Parameter has invalid value: Parameter IM_TEMPERATURE has invalid value01011900" Try to pass a "0" in order to know if this is the parameter or field. And check the Data Type spected.

activate ods may cause to create new master data , so I think you may need to check sm37 and st22 to check which infoObject cause this error.
