Error in person responsible when contact person is changed
Hello PCUI fellows,
we are using the PC-UI Opportunity and Activity Application in CRM 5.0 SP 8. We have set the option "roundtrip cs search" for the Fields Prospect(Opportunity)/Contact Partner (Activity), Contact Person and Person Responsible. This are the steps to reproduce the Problem:
1. Create a new Activity
2. Enter a customer name into Contact Partner and press enter
3. get a list of companies matching
4. choose one which also has contact persons.
5. The field "Contact Partner is now filled.
6. click on the F4 Help for the Field "Contact Person".
7. The search is opened and "Search by relationship" is prefilled with the companies Account ID.
8. Search and choose one of the contact persons
9. The field "Contact person" is filled with the contact persons account id
10. Press enter
11. Now the Field "Person responsible" which was filled with the Users Name contains only "No address data".
Does someone had a simmilar problem?

Are you using the standard views or customized views?
If you had maintained the customized Z views then try to maintain the F4 Help field assignment at fieldgroup level under CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C->Input Help -> Field Assignment for transferring values. Enter the field group name here.
For ex : I have mainted the given entries for Leads Partner F4 Help.
View Field Name Result List Field Field in Hitlist
ZWA CONTACT_PERSON_LIST CONTACT_PERSON_LIST PARTNER1

Recently, our company consolidated the SAP platforms for two regions and it is single instance now. The data is migrated to the new system by SLO. After this we are facing an issue while deleting the contact person in customer master. When we select the contact person and delete, we get a message saying "Specify a valid person use (PERSON_REFERENCE)". When we press enter, another entry (above the intended entry) gets deleted.
The performance assistant shows nothing but message no. AM057.
Based on the couple of OSS notes I have searched, I checked the table ADRVP entries and found two entries for that contact person. Both entries have the client number appearing in the field APPL_KEY.
The first record is having old client number and the second record is having the new client number. I presume, we are seeing two records because the data was migrated by SLO. But what is confusing is, both are having same addr.no. and marked as X for Owner (Flag: Adress owner object reference).
Data in table ADRVP looks as under.

How to remove contact person during outlook contact person synchronization
Dear All,
Our client is on SAP881 PL09, Office 2003. They have 2 US companies and 1 CA company.
If I delete a contact person in SAP, once I do synchronization, how can we remove the same contact person in outlook? I cannot find a way to remove contact person during synchronization. Thanks.

You have integration with outlook.
then opne Outlook > select SAP Business One menu item>syncronization>Syncronization>and proper selection then select syncronization button.
it will syncroniz SAP and outlook contact person with existing both otherwise so option that this contact person are/is not available in SAP or Outlook so what you want ?want to sync or not

How to create integration event when Contact's address changed?
I want to create an integration event and send contact's address to an external system whenever a Contact record type is modified. The problem is contact's address is not on the track changes list so I can't select it. I talked to Customer Care and they said you can't do this currently.
This is important to me since we want to send updated address info whenever it's changed. I'm able to send updated contact email and phones info since they are available on the track changes list.
Does anyone know how to get around this limitation regarding contact address?

workaround: just configure for every change on contact(use modified date in your integration event config as the only audit field) and check in the workflow condition if the person address has changed...there you go.

Person Responsible for Corrective-Preventive action in Audit Management

I am creating Corrective-Preventive action in audit (PLMD_AUDIT). I am using BAdi PLM_AUDIT_COR_UPDATE. I am getting all other info I need in it but not able to get person responsible (under 'Contact Persons' tab).
Since the BAdi methods are 'before save' and 'update' we can not fetch from the database also.

BAPI_BUS20350_GET_DETAIL - pass the audit external id & guid to get the audit & CAPA details.

How to avoid contact person deletion when partner function is assigned
Hi All.
I need your help for a contact person issue.
I'd like to avoid a contact person relationship to be deleted when this contact person is assigned to one or more partner functions for any customer's sales area. In ECC I can't delete a contact person that is been used as a partner function in customer's sales data (KNVP). The system shows message F2 189. But it seems not to be the same in CRM as I'm able to delete this contact person relationship despite he's been used as a customer's partner function. Furthermore, when the contact person is deleted in CRM, no upload to ECC occurs, I mean, the contact person is still "alive" in ECC and linked to the customer.

Yes, we're using Web UI, so I'll try to check the partner function assignment as you told me.
No problem regarding the concepts of contact person deletion and contact person relationship deletion, I know the difference. What I meant was that you can delete a contact person relationship in CRM (not the contact person itself but the relationship) and this relationship is not deleted en ERP due to the fact that this contact person is used as a partner function in the customer sales area. It seems CRM and ERP are working in a different way, using different checks that can lead you to inconsistencies.

You have to maintain contact person for the supplier, as an SRM admin the list of suppliers dispalyed select the vendor against which you want to create the contact and click on "Create Contact Person with reference" maintian all the required entires and you will be able to see this contact details in you RFx while selecting the bidders for RFx.

I'm testing the RFx scenarion ...but currently Mail serever (SMTP) is not configured ...so can not test end-to-end scenarion..like actual...so set the checkbox 'Permit Surrogate Bidding" in BP master of Bidder
1) Can anyone please confirm me, whether "Contact Person" of the Bidder is ALWAYS REQUIERED for submitting the RFx Response by Bidder ? Just Bidder can not submit the RFx Response ...(What my thought is ...its req only in case of Surrogate Bidding ?)
2) Without Surrogate Bidding , can I submit the RFx Response by login as a Bidder (or Bidders Contact Person..SU01 id is created when Contact person created....) ...in the Bidding Engine and access the published bid ?....I tried the below URL from the RFx Notification..but once click on the URL, system gives error "Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible." ....

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to add a special user to the "site collection administrators" of the personal site on sharepoint online when the personal site is creating.
Per my knowledge,
there is no out of the box way to accomplish this with SharePoint.

Getting all contact person names through XL Reporter
Hi All,
I am trying to get a list of all contact persons associated with a business partner.
I am having difficulty to pull all contact persons associated with a business partner. I am trying to get this information through the Report composer of XL Reporter.
When I drop the Business Partner and Contact Person dimensions from Business Partner tab into Report Composer and run the report, I only get Business Partner and just one contact person(the first contact person created for that BP).
I am trying to get all contact persons associated with that business partner. Is there something I am missing or is this the issue with XL Reporter.

More contact person items in the header data of a stanard order
Hi guys,
we want to create more than one contact person in the header data of a standard order
(for example contact person 1 --> 215, contact person 2 --> 216)
Transaction VA01 --> Goto --> Header --> Partner
It isn´t possible to create more entries with the same partner function.
I found the table VBPA2 instead of the table VBPA. Here it would be possible to enter more of the same contact person items.
How can I customize the function to enter more contact person items?

If you mean the flag "unique in cust. mast", this flag isn´t set in our case.

Hello Experts,

Our client will send some Quotation information along with Contact Person data from a E-commerce portal to ECC using Webservice. And then I have to:
1) Create a Contact Person for Bill To Party Customer.
2) And when Contact Person gets created then assign this Contact Person to Bill To Party
3) create Quotation assigning this contact person.
All this processing has to be done in background mode.

This can be possible by SRM Web transaction - BBPMAININT (Edit Business Partners)...
Have you used USERS_GEN transaction in SRM to create users ? Please read the SAP documentation in this case associated with the transaction using SRM GUI logon..
Which option do you use in USERS_GEN : file upload ?
In your case where the "US" (User) link is missing: is the SU01 user created ? Wasn't is already created before USERS_GEN ?
If the system is not able to create the CP <-> US relation, you should get back an error message in USERS_GEN.
