Error in Planning Book

Hello Experts,
User is facing an weird error popup while entering in SDP94. User do not have access to load / change the data in PB. This issue is not replicable from our side.
Error : "Graphics control could not be created; check method call"
Please suggest the soultion to fix it.

Hi Rahul,
Seems like authorisation issue. I suggest you can involve
basis or security team to fix the exact issue
1) Check the user settings using /SAPAPO/SDPUSET
2) Check assignment to planning book /SAPAPO/SDPPLBK
3) Check su53 dump of user and compare it with your dump
to find out the missing objects

Hello All,
We are facing an issue which is not reproducable and occurs randomly for different products.
When users access planning book, the following information message (not error message) appears as
"Product: &1 Location: &2" and the user is getting logged out without saving data.
We have implemented sap note 1510476 but still issue is found for few users.
Any pointers on this will be appreciated.

Hi Senthil,
As for as I know, if this is a DP Planning Book, then, we need to explicitly execute the Macros (advisable for faster access though). For SNP Planning Book the macros run automatically.
If, your Planning Book is a DP PB, then, while executing the Transaction, it did not turn up to the exact Macro and proportionally, could not retrieve the Data Selection for Product & Location.
Please check whether the macros are running succesffuly.

Error in updating ALV field catalog in selection tool for Planning Book

Hi ,
I am Implementing BADI '/SAPAPO/SDP_SELECTOR' to upload Custom Fields Data in Planning Book Selection Window under APO Location Product. These Custom Fields are maintained in Custom Table.So from Table whatever Custom Fields are availabe all the fields needs to be available in for selection. Once selection is done the same data to be uploaded into Planning Book.
This BADI is working Fine upto 4 fields but if any extra fields are added in the table 'Error in updating ALV field catalog in selection tool' error Pop Up is coming. Here i am using Folloowing Methods
1). INIT_OBJECT_LIST
2). F4
3). LOC_PROD_VALUE_LIST
Please help on the same if u have any idea or clue.

It would be nice if you could debug your code!
For the F4 method, have you seen this note?

Also check this note. It contains selection modifications in the BAdI:

I do not know your release and support package in your SCM, but you can find a lot of notes related to this BAdI.

Error while loading the planning book

Hi There,
I am getitng the below error while loading the data in planning book
"Error for COM routine using application program (return code 40,016)
Error reading data - Planning book cannot be processed further"
Ran /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_CONS_CHECK and /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_REORG but its not working , still getting the same error.
Could you please advise?

Hi Krishna,
Looks like a key figure might be incorrectly created or there might be a problem in aggregation/disaggregation of key figures due to numerous number of CVCs.

Error -- While Uploading Data into Planning Book

Hi all...
working on SCM 4.1...
In Planning book...while loading the data of one SKU-Location into the PB , i am getting the below error...
"Overflow during propagation calculation: Number too large"
Message no. /SAPAPO/OM_TS078
Diagnosis
An overflow occurred while propagating a change to a key figure within the LCA routine.
In this case an internal error in the LCA routine is concerned.
*ProcedureCreate an OSS message as detailed in SAP Note 167280.*
can anybody help me to resolve the same as i couldnot ablt to view the data in planning book for one of the Product-location.

Hi Senthil,
For Some of the SKUs it is giving the Error , some abrupt values are stored in Live Cache for these SKUs(CVC), thats why it giving the Error.
The only solution is ..i have to delete the CVCs and create new one...
But i will loose the data as we cant take the Backup of Old CVC data --> Giving COM Error
The reason of Abrupt Values in Live Cache Could Be -->.>
Macro/Alerts
How can we fix these types of Error , as regularly i am getting these Error??
Is there any Note/Patch to overcome this issue?
Will be GR8 if i will get the solution..

Error in reading data from planning book

Hi Guys,
I am facing error in reading data from SNP planning book .
When i try to read single product data for simulation version , it gets loaded correctly.
However, when i try loading data for more than one product, then i get error "Product does not exist".
I checked all products are assigned to model-version.
I tried running consistency check as well and after it finished got message as "All inconsistencies can not be corrected".
Please let me know if any one had faced this error.

Consistency check should solve the problem in this case. Try running it specifically on the version you are using. It should work.

"Initial column cannot be generated" error when creating a planning book

Hi,
I have an error when creating a planning book with the planning book wizard. In the tab "data view", I enter values for the "Visible" and "Input" fields and validate. The following error is generated: "Initial column cannot be generated" and then "Maintain the time for the 'column visible from' field". I tried with different dates, and get the same error.
I am running SCM 5.0.
Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Hi,
Generally these error come when we manually enter the value in the Visible and Input column. Instead we should try select value from the Drill down options which gets generated based on the Time Bucket Profile you have selected as input for Planning Horizon.

Interactive planning book transaction error

It is observed many times that even though user is assigned to any particular planning book
user sometimes get an error,,,when hit /n/SAPAPO/SDP94..screen directs to change planning book screen
looks like it is some type of inconsistency did any one come across this type of issue if yes any solution to solve the same?

The authorization object associated with display and change access in the planning book is governed by C_APO_PB. can you please check with this object is correctly defined in the roles assigned to the users. you may want check with your BASIS folks if the correct restrictions has been provided in the roles.

Error while accessing DP Planning Book through Portal. ( internet)

We are using a collaborative planning book from SCM 4.0 system, which is published as a service on the ITS (6.20 version). This ITS has been published so that we can access the system from the Broadband, simply like any other website.
The ITS URL is :

The planning book service is

When we try through our LAN, we can access it.
When entering through broadband, we can see the first page of planning book , i.e. where selection of planning book and planning view is to be made.
Once a selection is made from the dropdown, and when "CHOOSE" button is clicked (for that matter the rectangular box containing the selection criteria and also the Exit button ) we get a message as :

Dump opening planning book - error "CNTL_ERROR"

Hi Experts,
One of our users is experiencing the Dump while opening the planning book - error "CNTL_ERROR".
I found a similar thread but that is for version SCM 7.0.
Can somebody suggest the GUI patch or a consulting note for SCM 4.1.

Planning book error during export

Hello all,
Once a week we export planning book to compute for the average base demand to be used for safety stock calculations. When we tried debugging the error we found this:
/sapapo/clp 053 planning book and data view combination doesnt exist.
we have tried running consistency checks but it didnt help. from what we can see, this error came right after changing the fiscal yr variants (periods for 2010 and 2011). from our checks when we pull 2010 there is no error but when we include 2011 we see the error. we have checked everything possible from planning area to storage buckets to fi yr variants but we couldnt tell what is causing the issue. we do not know what else might be causing this error.

Planning Book Error (/SAPAPO/ADVX_MACROS_GET )

I created a planning book and used /sapapo/sdp94 to enter into planning book
when deleted using same transaction /sapapo/sdp8b , and now when i am trying to use trans code /sapapo/sdp94 ..its not letting me go in .
It is giving an Internal error: /SAPAPO/ADVX_MACROS_GET
When i use some other id and go to planning book through /sapapo/sdp94 ..i am able to go there .
Anybody knows about it . It would be highly appreciated and suitably rewarded

Planning Book Error during forcast voew

When i am change the dataview time bucket profile (i.e .Period structure settings) planning book for Monthly display of Data View instead of present view which is weekly an error pops up as:
Period to date 31.01.2008 cannot be determined
Message no. /SAPAPO/MA 120
Diagnosis
The system cannot interpret one or more of your data entries.
Procedure
Check the date parameters for this operation, and change accordingly.
please suggest what to check to resolve the problem...

Uploading planning book data error

I think you can help me with this qn.
When i am trying to upload the planning book data after using the save locally function, i am not able to load the data back to the planning book. I am getting a dump.
I am not able to resolve it. can u please guide me.

When you saved the file using the "Save locally" functionality in the Interactive Planning transaction, did you choose the option "Prepare file for upload at a later time" ? You have to choose that option so that an upload later will work.
Also, please check out OSS note Note "925933 - Interactive Planning Excel up/download corrections".

Hi,
We just upgraded your LiveCache to 5.Build 12 (SP2) (lca03 is ok).
We had errror in the planning book (/SAPAPO/SDP), your figures forecast have now a - (for Instance : distribution demand is : -10070) so it counts in more in our planning.
Sap note advices to run the report :
SAPAPO/TS_LCM_CONS_CHECK
/SAPAPO/TS_LCM_REORG_SNP
/SAPAPO/TS_LCM_REORG
