Error in premiere elements 11 program is not responding and needs to shut down

hi ,
Please help just installed premiere elements version 11 and many time this message is shown, program is not active and must be shut down, please wait until program reacts.
How can i solve this issue?

not tried yet , now avg 2015 virus scanner is on
3. Are you working with pen and tablet device instead of mouse?
No only laptop elan smart pad , on laptop.
4. Is your video card/graphics card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card? How many
video cards/graphics cards does you computer use?
yes up to date only 1 card
5. Please describe your computer resources - processor, clock speed, installed RAM, available hard drive space?
Is the program installed to the default Local Disk C?
Installed on local disk drive C

    Thanks so much but none of that helped.  It was driving me crazy because it would back up another external drive.  I just changed the name of the drive from iPhoto/iTunes Library to Media Libraries and IT WORKED!! I guess for some reason it didn't like the drive being called iPhoto or iTunes ???? I don't understand but I have tried so many solutions and exchanging things out but the name change did it????!!!
    Thank you for your help and replying to this.  Guess I made my own issue!

    If i Run an old project direct from the file PE 9 it works and then go to a new project it works but from the start up  it just closes down.
    Bridge is also starting to do it

    Did you reinstall using the full three step way (otherwise strange things may linger)?
    Uninstall (ticking the box to delete the preferences), run the Cleaner Tool, and reinstall.

  • Host Not Responding and Needs Assistance

    I have a VMM 2012 R2 Cluster based on two nodes.  Both nodes have similar hardware configuration.  When I move the VMM Cluster to Node 2, I face an issue of
    Host Not Responding and Needs Assistance on almost all Hyper-V Host Servers.  But, When I move the Cluster to Node 1 off VMM, everything starts working and works undisturbed for days.  What could be different
    between two hosts that can cause such a behavior that causes connection loss and thus the above error in the console.  How can I identify what is different in the first node from second node?

  • Premiere Elements 4.0 - Lockup (Not Responding) --- Vista

    Hi,
    I recently downloaded the trial version of PE4 to test it out. Every time I run the application I can open a project or create and new on and get to the main menu. From there I click just about any button the program goes not responding. If I try to click the button to import clips it freezes, add a template it freeze, go the edit preferences it freezes. I've reinstalled and repaired a number of time with no luck. Ive even set it to run in compatibility mode as XP sp2. I've got all the latest updates from Microsoft and Nvidia for my graphics card. System specs are below. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

    While I will admit that PE4 isn't perfect - I do not like some of the changes from version 3, I have had good success so far with it. I had problems early on that in fact turned out to be with my old PC that I have since replaced. In the past month, I have created nine (9) different projects ranging from 30-90 minutes in length.
    I'm not a power user like Steve and Robert (my heros), I use most of the common functions of the program such as titles, transitions, audio and video effects and (contrary to some recommendations) I DO use PE both to directly import the video through firewire and burn the DVDs. Not one coaster out of over 200 burned in these nine projects and performance has been just fine. I use a right-out-of-the-box HP Media Center PC. No driver or firmware upgrades needed so far, or at least none that MS Update didn't do for me.
    Perhaps my experience isn't typical but wholesale statement such as "Vista doesn't work with PE4" are untrue. I did turn off Aero because I have come to trust Steve's advice. And I don't hate Vista nearly as much as I expected I would :)

    Hi there, I've been cutting a job over the last week and recently PP has been quitting and I get "a serious error has occured and pp needs to shut down".
    I've reinstalled pp and to no avail.
    even with new projects the same happens.

    1. Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000, Intel HD Graphics 4000, Built-In, 1024 MB
    2. Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M, PCIe, 1024 MB
    Please goto System Preferences - Energy saving and Uncheck Automatic graphics switching box.

  • Firefox repeatedly each day shuts down my 3 computers*1_Vista; 2_Windows 7) and refuses to wor saying it is not responding or just totally shutting down(I am required to reboot and hope it works, which it rarely does.).

    At least 4 or 5 times a day this happens--Usually it says "not Responding" and it truly does not. I don't have this with other sucn as Explorer but generally have preferred Firefox for its simplicity. I am about ready to change as the hassle is just not worth it.

    I wish it were that but a long time ago when I had a problem with the gadgets with iGoogle back 6 months ago thereabouts I was asked to disable it then and I did and I just went to re-check and it is still not enabled, however, it will not let me un-install it though.. It only gives me an option to enable or disable.. Any advice ? So I'm wondering if it is something else still or is there a problem with the avast still ?

  • Premiere CC 2014 - "serious error and needs to shut down" - fix?

    After a few days of successful editing, I am now constantly encountering this error message: "a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down."
    I am using a 2013 MacBook Pro. I have seen this concern raised on other threads, but they seem to be addressed to Windows users.

    A little more info:
    This seems particularly likely to happen when I open a sequence on the timeline that has more than 5 audio tracks.
    I'm using OS Mavericks 10.9.5. Video footage is .R3D. I have the crash report if that helps.

  • Finder DOES NOT Respond after Restart, Or Shut Down

    I am running an iMac G5 on OS X 10.5.4, After a shut down or restart, Finder does not respond, The only thing on my desktop is My HD and Chosen wallpaper. I can launch Apps from the Dock, but not folders from the dock, Not Downloads folder, Documents Folder, Just Applications, which is weird because they are in finder too! Mail starts up when I log in so I can access Mail, I use Firefox, When I click on it in the dock it starts up no problem, after a while Finder does respond, I get all my icons back on my desktop and can access folders. I have Cleared System Cache, Browsers Cache, I ran Disk Utility and REPAIRED Disk permissions. No help. Short of RE-Installing Mac OS X, What Should I do? Is this happening to anyone else??

    I have tried the following: deleting the com.apple.finder.plist, deleting the com.apple.sidebar.plist, I have reinstalled the 10.5.5combo update, I have deleted all of my photoshop preferences (possible solution from another thread), and it is still doing it!

  • Premiere Elements 11 slow then not responding on Mac

    I have an iMac that I've used PE 11 successfully for a couple years.  Suddenly it's come to a grinding halt.  When I try to edit anything it slows to a crawl, then just stops working all together.
    Here's what I've done so far:
    Updated my Mac to OS X 10.10.2
    Cleared cached files
    Made space on my hard drive
    Uninstalled, and reinstalled PE 11
    Other suggestions?
    An interesting symptom I've noted as it goes down the tubes: 
    The windows such as Project Assets stay in the foreground if I use another program while waiting for it to think about doing what I asked it to, for example; play the clip that I'm trying to edit.  So as I'm looking at my mail, the PE dialog boxes will be in my way.

  • I cannot "download all" from the cloud ... it says that itunes has encountered an error and needs to shut down. I can download one song at a time. It is not being caused by any one song.

    I have the latest version of iTunes. When I am in the iTunes store and I click on purchased it will show me a list of all my purchased songs. Some of the older songs are already in my iTunes account. There is a cloud symbol by any songs that have not been download to my account. It always fails if I try to do a "download all" (at the bottom of the page) but I seem to be able to download one song at a time. These are songs that were purchased on my iPhone but I wanted to put them in my iTunes account so that I could put them on my iPod. The problem does not appear to be associated to any one song.

    I did think about that and if I have to I will do that, however there are about 50 songs. I have closed and reopened iTunes several times and I am sure that I have the latest version. It fails right away but I can click on the cloud download icon and download the song that it failed on ... therefore it is not that song "or any one song" causing the issue. Any ideas?

    I encounter this every once in awhile and it's super irritating. I've cleared the cache a few times and even created new project files and saved them elsewhere to try and avoid the issue. Are there any updates or patches available?

  • Since the iTunes update to 10.6 everytime I open iTunes there is an error message that says that iTunes has encountered an error and needs to shut down. Is there a way to fix this or go back to an older version of iTunes?
