Error in PREP_INIT/VERSCHK_INI phase during upgrade to NW70 EHP1 SR1

We are in the process of upgrade to SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 SR1 and we got the below error during the upgrade:
Checks after phase PREP_INIT/VERSCHK_INI were negative!
Last error code set: Start Release configuration 'SAP_ABA=700,SAP_BASIS=700,SAP_BW=700' is not supported Compare the release of your SAP system with the requirements listed in the documentation.
Choose action
Repeat phase VERSCHK_INI to continue at the point it stopped
Cancel the current phase VERSCHK_INI and go back to wizard
Exit this program
We verified the DVDs (media list) we are uing for the upgarde and it is correct.
Any ideas on how this can be resolved?

We have searched the SDN, many posts say that we have to just activate them. But my question is where - in source system OR in Shadow system?
We assumed it is Source system (please correct if it is wrong), unlocked the system and logged in as normal user and tried to activate the Data Element. Now, it says "Search Help /BI0/OICH_AT is not active or contains no parameter". How to go about it?
If it is Shadow System, how can i unlock the system?

There are search helps configured for the dataelements in ACTUPG.ELG. These search helps were created by mistake by the system.
The search helps can be deleted manually in the shadow instance.
In this case you should remove these fields in se11 (in your shadow instance) as the Search help shouldn't exist.
You should do this step for all data elements shown in the log ACTUPG.ELG:
For example: SE11 -> /BI0/OICH_AT -> Change -> Tab "Further characteristics"
1. Goto SE11:
2. Select Data type and fill "/BI0/OICH_AT" and display
3. Select the tab "Further Characteristics" and
4. Remove the values for fields "Name" and "Parameters"
then click on icon "Activate"
Please do the same for the other object.
But before performing above steps you need to unlock the shadow instance by the following command:
SAPup unlockshd <SID>
(if using SAPup)
SAPehpi unlockshd <SID>
(if using SAPehpi)
Also do not forget to lock the shadow system again after performing the steps and continuing the upgrade by the following command:
SAPup lockshd <SID>
(if using SAPup)
SAPehpi lockshd <SID>
(if using SAPehpi)
You can logon to your shadow system with any different user than DDIC.

Error while generating JAR files during upgrade from 11.5.9 to 11.5.10

ECC6(A+J) setup error in unpacksdmkit.jar phase during install java engine

I am installing ERP 6.0 (A+J) system. we are using windows 2003 server enterprize endison SP2 as OS. MSSQL server 2005 as database.
I am using Java 1.4.2_16 for AMD 64 bit machine.
I am getting error in install java engine phase for sdmkit.jar file extraction.
When I am checking the insterror.log and sdmkit.log file I am getting below error.

When I search on OSS notes and SDN forum I got the below OSS NOTE 904245 for solution. But I have try to replace the code in control.xml file its not working .
I am able to start&stop SAP engine.
I have also done the temp copy for folder 51032257\java_export\sdm\sdmkit.jar file and try to extract it manually there but its throwing error in java as below.

Error in Import Abap phase during installation

We are getting error while installing ERP 6.0 SR2 with oracle 10.2.0.2 and Win 2003 EE x64 edition.
RAM -- 2GB , Swap size - 10 GB ( after increasing swap from 6GB to 20+ GB still same error)

Senthil following are ans to ur questions
1. After the SPAU remediation is completed, should I manually release the transport or should I start the upgrade and the upgrade will release that transport?
Ans : Once your SPAU remediation is completed you should release the requests and then start the upgrade of the DEV system.
2. How do we import this SPDD & SPAU transport in the QA and PRD, I mean at what stage of the upgrade we need to specify/ include this transport?
Ans : Now when you start the QA or PRD upgrade at that time you come across a phase during PREPARE called ADJUSTPRP.
Refer following note for further information --

3. Suppose the QA & PRD has more objects to adjust than our Dev box, and this transport will not take care of the delta objects, so in that case how should we remediate, we need to create an other transport request in QA and then it will become two transports?
Ans : First of all this should not be the scenario where you have more modified objects than that in DEV. As all the modfications should take place in DEV first and then should be transported to QA and then PRD. But in such case what you can do is complete the upgrade of QA system and then you are still having 14 days to complete the SPAU objects. So you can make another request which can be transported as a post upgrade activity once the upgrade is completed in production. For SPDD you will have to take care of the SPDD objects if there are different than those in DEV during the ACT_700 phase only or else you might risk data.
This is the reason why SAP always asks you to follow a proper transport path.
4. If our dev box has more objects for remediation than our QA & PRD, then will these objects be also imported into the QA & PRD box?
Ans : Yes, thats why you should be very sure about the SPAU objects that you have found in DEV. You need to compare the objects with QA and PRD and then only make the modifications.

EHP1 upgrade error in PREP_INPUT..phase
Hello,
I am doing EHP1 upgrade and getting error in EHPI during the PREP_INPUT/KX_CPYORG! phase.
Below is the error:
Severe error(s) occured in phase PREP_INPUT/KX_CPYORG!
Last error code set: Cannot open '/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/dbatoolsora.lst': No such file or directory
It complains about dabtoolsora.lst file not existing in /SYS/exe/run Dir. This is because our DB is in separate machine/host and the CI is in separate. Hence the file mentioned above only exist in */SYS/exe/run Dir of DB host.
Can anyone please suggest what steps should be taken to resolve this issue? Do i need to copy that file manually to the CI host's */SYS/exe/run Directory and then repeat the EHPI steps again?

SUM still has this behavior as of 1.0 SP6. One workaround is to copy dbatoolsora.lst from your DB server kernel directory, and create wrapper scripts which will SSH from the CI to the DB and run the brtools commands that SUM would want to run.
Here's an example of such a script, for brtools:
#!/bin/csh
ssh $SAPDBHOST brtools $*
So, you'd have a script like this for brarchive, brbackup, and the other br* tools mentioned in dbatoolsora.lst, each containing the name of the command to run on the db server.
Be sure to look in dbatoolsora.lst for a list of other files it may expect to find. -

Error during Upgrade from 4.6c to ECC 6.0
Hi All,
We are facing an error when upgrading from 4.6c to ECC 6.0. We are facing this error on the table COEP - runtime object inconsistancy. What we found is there is ERP upgrade has created new extra fields in the table. In log file the error is specified as : Duplicate Field name, But we not able to find the duplicate field name in the table. Please kindly help as early as possible. The upgrade process is stuck.

Error in transaction KEA0 during upgrade
Dear All,
During upgrading the custmer system from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 we found some error in the transaction KEA0 while trying to activate the cross client for an operating concern.
The activation logs says that there are the syntax errors in the gereted subroutine pool: RK2O0100.
I however corrected the error and activated the code but again when I am trying to execute the same it gave me the same error and when I go to the sub routine pool I found that the changes are again undone and the previos version is activated. This happens repeatedly that the code is corrected and activated by me and says no error and ones I log off and login again it says the same error.
Help will be appriciated.

I tring to run RKEAGENV it shows the error message with STOP button saying that the field WTGBTR not contained in the nametab for table CE1E_B1 and when Io run RKEAGENF it gives a short dump saying that entry for CE10100 is not allowed for TTABS.....

I have error code -43 when trying to upgrade iPhone 3GS running v4.3 to version 5 or above. This error occurs whilst trying to back up phone during upgrade process. 2GB of free memory on phone. Can anyone help?
Well I spoke too soon.
The update was successful, but now I cannot connect to the 3GS data network.
Cannot get email and cannot open a page in Safari.

+THe mail server is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settings."+
Email and internet work fine on WiFi.........no data using 3GS network.
Looks like I will have to revert back to old OS. -

During upgradation I got error at SACT_700 with following log

When I looked at the base table it is already active.

Kindly check the versions of E_BAMMAPNG and E_BAMUIBT. if you find Modif and Active version, then lock objects are not in active mode.
open the object in edit mode, check the object and activate it.
in search help Z_KSTAR and Z_SKA1, check if SPRAS is used as IMPORTING and/or EXPORTING parameter. remove the check of IMPORTING or EXPORTING parameter, save and activate the search help
MAKTX is available in KKAPARA_TA, hence remove it from ZAKKAPARA_TA. save and activate the structure and table.
after each modification, adjust and activate the database.

Error during upgrade from OBIEE 10G to 11G
Hello All
I ran into this issue while trying to upgrade my 10g RPD and catalog to 11.1.1.7
After installing 11G, I launched the upgrade utility from Oracle_Common/bin/ua in linux.
I am getting the below error:
UPGAST-00797: Oracle Fusion Middleware Upgrade Assistant cannot be run from an Application Developer Oracle home.
Based on the Oracle Doc. it has the following desc:
UPGAST-00797: Oracle Fusion Middleware Upgrade Assistant cannot be run from an Application Developer Oracle home.
Cause: The user has chosen to perform a upgrade from an Oracle home that does not allow an upgrade.
Action: None.
Level: 1
Type: ERROR
Impact: Upgrade
So what should I do to resolve this issue?

First of all i am not familiar on linux box.
I tried in windows environment the rpd is deployed with out any errors.
But i ran the ua.bat file in the following path
\MWHOME\Oracle_BI1\bin\ua.bat.
while i am running in oracle_common\bin\ua.bat is not responding in my local system.
