Error in processing Dimension and Application

Hi Experts,
When I am trying to process the Dimension or Application it is saying "ActiveX component can not be created".
Can anyone please suggest the solution.
Regards,
Prakash

Try to see if you have the same problem into Apshell.
If you don't have this issue into apshell then the problem it is not related to installation it is related to your appset.
If it is working into apshell then please check into table tblappsetinfo from database appserver if youo ahve exactly the right information like for apshell.
If it is not working for apshell then check if reporting services is working fine:
http//"yourappserver"/reports should be loaded without errors. and also check note: 1131320

  • Process dimensions and Applications after Restore

    We are using BPC 7.0MS.  We need to process dimensions and Applications after the database restore in case of any Optimization failures. It takes around 3 hours for us to do this process. Can we skip the BPC process by taking backup of Database and SSAS and restoring them in case of any failures?
    Thanks
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
    you can try but remeber that after the restore you must execute a "modifiy application" for all your applications so maybe you'll not gain time.
    Kind regards

  • Error when processing dimensions

    Hello,
    I'm working with BPC 7.0 NW and I'm trying to process the dimension P_ACC (copied from the APSHELL directly) and I get the following errors:
    "Failed to expand K2 function for dimension P_ACCT's member formulas" and
    "MDX statement error:"You do not have the authorization for component !!"
    Any idea about how to solve this erros?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ana

    Hi Ana
    Its called MDXLib.lgl not MDX.lgl
    find that in the appset apshell and try to copy the same in similar path in your appset.
    I think it must be in logic files folder not sure of exact path.
    But that should not be issue here since you are using direct MDX Query, can you just remove that one formula and process dimension and then remove the cache
    Then add back the formula and then see how it works, then try using some other account for now as divisor (Denominator) and see what happens

  • Error while processing dimension!!

    Hello Experts,
    We are using BPC 7.5 M sp04, I am trying to add a "Parenth6" column to the "Org" dimension (Org dimension already has Parenth1 to Parenth5 columns), After adding the "Parenth6" column I tried processing the dimension and it is showing below error:
    "-OLEDB error: OLE DB or ODBC error: Cannot create a row of size 9052 which is greater than the allow maximum row size of 8060.; 42000.Errors in the OLAP storage engine: An error occurred while the dimension, with the ID of 'CDNPLAN', Name of 'Org' was being processed.

    Please Advice.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rohit

    Hi Rohit
    This will help you understand the error .
    Symptom
    Client is receiving following error message when processing a dimension:
    DetailMsg - OLE DB error- OLE DB or ODBC error- Cannot create a row of size 8124 which is greater than the allowable maximum of 8060.
    Cause
    As a workaround to this error, client attempted to reduce the number of characters in the dimension's mbr table in the PARENTHx columns from 50 to 20 to mach the size of the memberid field.  However validating and processing the dimension returned the mbr table size back to the 50 character length.

    Resolution
    As a workaround, client removed several properties to get the number of row size record bytes below 8060 so the dimension was able to process.

  • Error when processing dimension using XMLA script

    I am hopeful that someone has an answer for this...
    I am in the process of deploying SQLServer 2014 and have been running in parallel with my production environment for 2 weeks with no issues.  Yesterday morning, my primary data load job failed while executing a process dimension script.  The script
    does a process update on multiple dimensions, but fails on the product dimension.  This is the script:
    <Batch xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/analysisservices/2003/engine">
    <Parallel>
    <Process xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:ddl2="http://schemas.microsoft.com/analysisservices/2003/engine/2" xmlns:ddl2_2="http://schemas.microsoft.com/analysisservices/2003/engine/2/2">
    <Object>
    <DatabaseID>WestLakeSales</DatabaseID>
    <DimensionID>Dim Product</DimensionID>
    </Object>
    <Type>ProcessUpdate</Type>
    <WriteBackTableCreation>UseExisting</WriteBackTableCreation>
    </Process>
    </Parallel>
    </Batch>
    It processes the attributes and starts processing the associated measure groups, then fails with a return code that I cannot find any information on:
    <return xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-analysis">
    <results xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/analysisservices/2003/xmla-multipleresults">
    <root xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-analysis:empty">

    <Messages xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-analysis:exception">

    </Messages>
    </root>
    </results>
    </return>
    At the end of the job log it just shows this:
    Finished processing the 'Inventory Weekly 2009 08' partition.
    Processing of the 'Inventory Weekly 2009 06' partition has started.
    Finished processing the 'Inventory Weekly 2009 06' partition.
    Processing of the 'Inventory Weekly 2010 02' partition has started.
    The job completed with failure.
    The job completed with failure.
    The job completed with failure.
    Execution complete
    When I run process update from Studio it processes all of the attributes and measure group partitions, then throws a single 'error' result with no description or message.  It appears that all partitions process successfully.  See the screen shot:
    This script ran fine up until yesterday.  There were no system changes.  The same script is currently running fine on the production SQLServer 2008 instance.
    Anyone see anything like this happening in SSAS 2014?  Any tips on further trouble shooting?

  • Error while processing dimension: "Exception condition "X_MESSAGE" raised"

    Hi,
    I have recently transported an Appset from development to production environment. The transport finished successfully, without any error.
    Then I update the members of the dimensions and I process it (Production Environment). I get "Exception condition "X_MESSAGE" raised."
    I need to solve this problem as soon as possible.

  • Error in Processing Dimension

    Hi
    I have a USER DEFINED DIMENSION , MATERIAL, which i am when trying to process the dimension from the Admin Console it is given me an error message
    "The request falied with HHTP status 401: Unauthorized.
    Cannot save member sheet to the server, do you want to save it to the local machine"
    For all other dimenion,(along with other User Defined DimensionAlso) the Processing is Successful.
    We are using customized SSIS Package to update & process the MATERIAL Dimension at the back end to the mbr table.
    Can anybody throw some light on the same
    Thanks & Regards
    krish

    The problem it is related to your custom SSIS package.
    You said you are updating the mbr table but this doesn't means the excel sheet will be updated automatically.
    More than that you have to use standard BPC tasks to process the dimension into back end.
    If you didn't use these tasks then I can understand why you have these authentication issue.
    So I suggest to check the custom package and also I suggest first to do modify dimension and to see if you have the right properties and to save this dimension one more time.
    I suppose after that you will be able to process dimension but again I don't know if what you have into excel sheet it is the same with what you have ointo mbrtable.

  • Error in process chain - AND

    Hi Experts,
    I am facing problem in process chain execution in the AND node. The error is
    This AND process is not waiting for event RSPROCESS, parameter 4941U4Q6QKIR8RFKMAZWYP5JB
    I checked the log in ST22 but there is nothing , also no error msg in display msg or maintain variant.
    is there any solution?

    Hi Soniya.....
    The problem is due to the successor process is not activated, again try to
    activate the process chain and schedule it.........
    As a work around.........if instance and variant is already generated........then continue the process chain using the program : RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH.......
    otherwise copy the rest of the chain and execute............To do this open the chain using RSPC1>> in the top where we write tcode.........there write COPY.........Give a name to the new chain.....remove all the processes till AND process...........then create a new Start process..........make the start condition as immediate..........and schedule the chain...
    Hope this helps......

  • PI Control Error Between Process Variable and Set Point

    I've developed a PI program that uses measurements from a pressure transducer as the process variable to control air pressure released from a motorized valve. The program works great at lower pressures, but as the set point pressure increases the error between the process variable and set point increases. I've tried several things....adjusting the P seems to initially increase the overshoot but the process variable always settles down below the set point....tried adjusting the EGU min and max values but no real pattern develops with this. It appears as the process variable get closer to the max EGU value of 70000 pascals the error increases.
    I've attached three screen shots showing the process variable curve and setpoint value. The graph of interest is the one in the upper right hand corner.
    Any recommendation or advice would be appreciated.
    tks, Terry

    Kyle,
    First off....I appreciate your comments. No...there is no value is system represented as U16.
    Actually errors start to develop quite a bit before the maximum. If you look at the mid pressure.jpg file you'll notice that the set point (~28125 Pascals) and process variable (~25625 Pascals) are roughly off by about 2500 Pascals. Then if you look at the high pressure.jpg file you'll notice that the set point (~53000 Pascals) and process variable (~45500 Pascals) are roughly off by about 7500 Pascals. Therefore it appears as the setpoint pressure increases towards maximum the error tends to increase.
    I was curious about something....the set point value I'm inputting into the PID.VI , shown in the high pressure.jpg file, is from EGU to percent.VI. It would look exactly like the EGU to percent VI feeding the process variable input of the PID.VI with the set point value feeding the EGU to percent.VI input. Would I be better off feeding the actual set point value to the PID.VI input instead of percentage?
    Thanks, Terry

  • Getting error when processing dimension

    Hi All,
             I am working on BPC5.1.when iam processing the dimension iam getting the error.
    in OPTIMIZE SCHEMA---Skip optimize schema step,
    in UPDATE OLAP----
    Skip updating OLAP step..
    RESULT---FAIL...
    this are the errors iam getting.can some body help me in solving these issues..
    All the best.
    Regards,
    Naresh.K..

    Hi Sorin!
    Our technical team managed to find the immediate cause for the problem, and a solution.
    According to them there was a corruption on a speciffic OLAP file. By deleting it, they allowed it to be recreated on the next application processing. The file in question was found in \Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\OLAP\Data\UGF.0.db\<APPLICATION>.38.cub.xml
    Where <APPLICATION> is the name of the problematic cube.
    After that everything is working.
    I still don't know why the file was corrupted, but at least now we have a quick & repeatable solution in case this happens again.

  • Runtime error in process model and sequence still passes

    I am doing some custom initialization in the process model (in the ProcessSetup callback). I call a .NET module that may throw an exception under certain error conditions. This causes the the process model to jump to the Cleanup section of the process model (not the client sequence file cleanup) and that's okay. The problem I have is that in my UI I am getting the AxAppMgr_ExecutionEnded event and the e argument's exec.ResultStatus property indicates "Passed". I want it to indicate "Error" or "Incomplete" or something other than passed. The client sequence never ran at all. While it had no failures, it could not have passed.
    How do I force the status to be "Error" or something other than "Passed"?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Ryan,
    I am just getting back to this. Thanks for the response.
    I have my own sequence that gets called from ProcessSetup in the process model. That sequence sets up some station global variables for me including some Object References. One of the object references is a .NET object used to read a file. If that file does not exist, then the .NET object throws an exception which results in TestStand presenting a dialog with the error message and options about what to do next. I don't want our technicians getting that dialog box so I changed the Station Options to "Run Cleanup" on Run-time error.
    The process model jumps to its Cleanup section when the run-time error is received.
    Does that give you the information you need?
    Incidentally, I am able to look at the e.exec.ErrorObject in the AxAppMgr_EndExecution event handler and I can see the error as suggested by Doug above.
    Thanks.

  • Essbase Errors in the log and applications crashing - 11.1.2.0 and 11.1.2.1

    We recently started installing a new DEV, CERT and Prod environment. We installed 11.1.2.0 in Dev and then 11.1.2.1 in Cert and Prod. In all three environments we are getting error messages in our essbase logs...“Essbase Error 1042017 - Increase the NetRetryCount and/or NetDelay” We have done all the usual changes to the config file by changing the netretrycount and netdelay settings, however the problem still persists. We are only working with developed applications in Dev, and there it causes those applications to stop. In Cert and Prod, only the sample apps are loaded, but again we get these errors in our logs. Since it spans multiple environments it seems that this is some thing with our environment, but not sure what that would be. Any thoughts?

    Questions regarding version compabilities come up quite often, yet the answer is still the same: have a look at the certification matrix http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/oracle-forms-11gr2certmatrix-519680.xls
    for installation instructions on your chosen platform have a look at the installation manual: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24269_01/doc.11120/e23960/toc.htm
    What do you plan to do with SOA suite? This isn't needed for forms&reports.

  • Classic duplicate key error when processing dimensions

     I have a dimension attribute that has a list of values below
    atlanta
    atlanta
    Atlanta
    Atlanta
    Atlanta
    ATLANTA
    it has caused the duplicate key errors. I've checked the colloation property of AS server and it's set to Latin1_general with case-sensitive UNCHECKED.... I wonder why I still get this type of errors?
    thanks
    --Currently using Reporting Service 2000; Visual Studio .NET 2003; Visual Source Safe SSIS 2008 SSAS 2008, SVN --

    You would need to use a case-sensitive collation for these not to be considered duplicates and even then, on closer inspection, I still see duplicates in your data.  There are only three distinct case-sensitive values out of the six examples you've
    provided: atlanta, Atlanta, and ATLANTA.

  • Dimension and Application limitations SAP BPC and Backend BIW

    Hi All,
    Please let me know what is the maximum limitations:
    1. Dimensions in an application and its backend support in BIW
    2. MaxApplication in Application Set.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kashvi

    Hi,
    Technically the maximum  possible number of dimensions in BPC NW applicaiton is 3224.
    /people/pravin.datar/blog/2008/10/28/the-conundrum-of-time-dimension
    As no one can practically create these many dimensions in an application. If you have 13 n , the performance can be optimized because then each  BPC dimension is line item dimension by default as this happens automatically.
    Thanks.
