  • Error publishing Query designer report to Web

    Hi all,
I am facing error after executing the query in query designer in BI 7. The query fails to open in web and points to standard url:
    http://portal-dmb.wdf.sap.corp:50100/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?QUERY=EX4_TBW20&VARIABLE_SCREEN=X&DUMMY=7
    "Link appears broken"
Initially I have configured the web connectivity using the How to guide and carried out config in SMICM as well as SICF (activating BW node). If I enter the url from SMICM manually in IE, it would prompt for user/password for BI server and successfully logs on.
The issue only lies when publishing query from Query designer to web. Please advise if I have missed out some config here.
    Thanks.

  • Query opening error in query designer.

    Hi All,
Iam trying to open a query in query designer  and iam getting an error like
"The component was edited with a more recent  version of the editor.you also have to use the more recent version to edit further. Further processing not possible.Update your front end."
what does it mean, in case of changes how to find new query name.
    Thanks,
    V.Singh

    Hi,
This is hap[pening because, you are using an older version of the SAP Front end (Probably 3.5) to open a query which was modified/created in 7.x So upgrade the front end verison on ur system. This should solve ur problem

  • Error while trying to Open and Delete a BEx Query in Query Designer.

    Hi Experts,
I have been facing this issue with BEx Query in Designer mode for a couple of days now in Development Environment in BI 7.0.
I would like to Delete an unwanted BEx Query because I need to give it's name to another BEx Query.
Whenever I try to Open this Query in BEx Query Designer to Delete, it gives out an error saying:
"An error occurred while communicating with the BI server.
As a result of this error, the system has been
    disconnected from the BI server.
    Detailed Description:
STOP: Program error is class SAPMSSY1 method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
STOP: System eror in program CL_RSR and form GET_CHANMID-01 - (see long text)"
    Details text is as below:
    Diagnosis
This internal error is an intended termination resulting from a program state that is not permitted.
    Procedure
Analyze the situation and inform SAP.
If the termination occurred when you executed a query or Web template, or during interaction in the planning modeler, and if you can reproduce this termination, record a trace (transaction RSTT).
For more information about recording a trace, see the documentation for the trace tool environment as well as SAP Note 899572.
I have tried with SAP Note 899572, but still it's the same.

  • Error while executing report in query designer

    Dear Folks,
I am geting following error while executing report in query designer.
    Error:500 E
an exception raised because of 0analysis pattern.
Hence,i am unable to execute any report.
    Need help.
    Thanks

    Hi Kitu G,
I think this is something to do with the bex web 0ANALYSIS* objects not being installed in your BW system.
I would try and do the following:
    - Goto RSA1 > BI Content > BEx Web Template (BTMP)
    - Then double-click on Select Object.
    - Highlight all objects that start with 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN
    - Click on Transfer Selections, and then Install.
If you can't do the above in prd, do it in DEV, then transport the objects to prd.
After all this, try re-running your queries.
Any questions/clarification just let me know
    Cheers.

Has anyone face this error before.
    Thanks
    Savio

    Dear Savio,
On 14th of October 2008 support for SAP GUI for Windows 6.40 ended.
    This means:
No more patches are supplied (not even security updates).
    No corrections are implemented.
How to requests which are specific to release 6.40 are not processed.
SAP GUI for Windows 6.40 is not tested or used SAP internally anymore.
There is no extended support option for SAP GUI for Windows 6.40.
Since using a component which is out of support means a high risk it is SAP's strong recommendation is to start the planning for the upgrade to release 7.10 as soon as possible.
The patches previous could be found at below mentioned path:
    service.sap.com/swdc
          > SAP Software Distribution Center
            > Download
              > Support Packages and Patches
               > Entry by Application Group
    >Support Packages and Patches>SAP Frontend Components
    >SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS>SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS 6.40
Now the above written notification can be seen here.
Hence., It would be better if you upgrade to SAP GUI 7.10.
    Hope this info helps!!
    Kind Regards,
    Robin.
