Error in RAD
Hi
I'm gettin the error "IWAD0216E Some paths in the server configuration are not valid. Fix the problems in the server configuration" in RAD when I try to publish the server.
When I open the Server COnfig I get a msg that states that the setting needs to be corrected and it automatically corrects the same.
But when I try to publish again after saving the corrections, the error just reappears ????
Help Pls.....
Just delete the server and create a new server !!!
It works !! Don ask me hw or Y :-)Yes!! But How ?
Is it a bug?

"An error occurred while creating the system proxy" after upgrade to 11.2
Hi, I have just moved from 11.1 release to 11.2 release but this fault is preventing me from using 11.2
If i try to access System Administration Panels like "Users" or "SMF Services" I get two error messages and can not proceed.
If I roll back to the previous BE, (11.1) it all works fine).
An error occurred while creating the system proxy
Navigation Failed. The first component of the address, "vp" is not a valid control.
The error is mentioned here https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg09791.html but I can not see the link content and it was a long time ago.
Not sure if it is relevant, but i am behing a pfsense/squid proxy - but have this server IP excluded/set to bypass the proxy.
Also, not sure if it is relevant but here is the output from the following:
nas@nas:~$ svcprop svc:/application/pkg/system-repository:default | grep _proxy
config/http_proxy astring ""
config/https_proxy astring ""
Any help appreciated.Ensure that the "solaris-desktop" package group is correctly installed :
# pkg info solaris-desktop
# for i in `pkg contents -m solaris-desktop | grep depend | awk '{print $2}' | awk -F= '{print $2}'`; do pkg list $i; done
Ensure that svc:/system/rad:local is online :
# svcs svc:/system/rad:local
Check for any errors in rad service :
# svcs -Lv svc:/system/rad:local
Once the above is checked, does the error persists after a reboot ? -

SQL Expressions in RAD -Getting error during runtime while generating rpt
Hi
We have just migrated from WSAD to RAD Version: 7.0.0.7.
The issue is: I am getting the error at the runtime when I am trying to use the SQL expression in my one of the report. The SQL Expression feature is not supported by this version of RAD. I checked the Help contents. It says
Field Objects: SQL expression fields
This report contains SQL Expression fields. These fields are not visible in this version of the Crystal Reports designer, but they will be evaluated by the system when the report is executed. New SQL Expression fields cannot be created by the designer. SQL Expression fields will remain in the .rpt file after saving and can be edited by other Crystal Reports designers
To me it seems you can use the 'SQL Expressions' in the report using some Crystal Reports designers and at the runtime it will be evaluated. So I edited my report with some Crystal Reports Designer and tested it on WSAD. It worked fine. Now since we have migrated to RAD, this is an issue since I am getting the following error:
ERROR [WebContainer : 0] com.crystaldecisions.reports.formatter.formatter.objectformatter - com.crystaldecisions.reports.dataengine.be: Failed to parse expression.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Errors executing SQL query in EJB 2.0 QL using RAD-6.0 on WAS-6.0
I have 3 tables in my database which is running on DB2 UDB ESE V-8.2
The tables are emp, dept & policy_master respectively
Table emp has columns id, name, deptid, and policyid.Here dept id and policyid are foreign keys which are referenced by dept and policy_master tables
In the dept table column deptid is primay key and non-key is dept name
In my policy_master table i have column policyid as primay key and non-key column is policy name
Now i want to find records in emp table by deptid column in emp table which should return a emp local interface
Now for that i had written ejbql "select object(o) from emp o where o.deptid=?1" using finder method namely findByDeptid(String deptid) in emp entity bean.
When i execute the entity bean using RAD Test Client,I am getting following 2 errors namely:
1. "WQRY0036E: Emp o does not have a field deptid in ejb-jar.xml "
2. "Class must implement the inherited abstract method CMPEmpLocalHome.findByDeptid(String) EJSLocalCMPEmpHome_0783c8c6.java TestEJB/ejbModule/sample"
When i analysed the problem i found that the deptid in emp bean is not defined as a CMP field in the map file & deployment descriptor that is why i am not able to write such kind of ejb queries.The deptid field in emp table is having a foreign key relationship with dept table.
Detailed Discription of tables structure
Table EMP
Column name Type name Length Scale Nulls
EMPID VARCHAR 4 0 No (Primary Key)
FIRSTNAME VARCHAR 10 0 Yes
LATSNAME VARCHAR 10 0 Yes
DEPTID VARCHAR 4 0 No (Foreign Key Refrenced By Dept Table)
POLICY_ID VARCHAR 10 0 No (Foreign Key Refrenced By Policy Master Table)
Table DEPT
Column name Type name Length Scale Nulls
DEPTID VARCHAR 4 0 No (Primary Key)
DEPTNAME VARCHAR 10 0 Yes
DEPTLOCATION VARCHAR 10 0 Yes
Table POLICY_MASTER
Column name Type name Length Scale Nulls
POLICY_ID VARCHAR 10 0 No (Primary Key)
POLICY_NAME VARCHAR 10 0 Yes
Now I want to find all record using findByDeptid method in EMP table. So for that what ejb ql I have to write.
I used "select object(o) from emp where deptid=?1" then I am getting error in "ejb-jar.xml" that field does not exist.
So please tell me how can I find records in emp table so that the bean returns a local interface.
Please provide some assisstance as soon as possible

Error in WSDL file with Inline schemas in RAD
Hi,
I am having a WSDL which is generated in Weblogic workshop. I need to generate a client for that WSDL in RAD 7.0 with websphere 6.1.
WSDL is having inline schemas. when i used the same WSDL in RAD it is showing compile time errors at complex types.
My scenario: I am getting error at type="*_Type1_*" , it saying type reference is unresolved.
<xs:schema xmlns="XXXX" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="XXXX" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified">
<xs:complexType name="complextype1">
<xs:sequence>
<xs:element name="Location" type="*_Type1_*" nillable="true"/>
</xs:sequence>
</xs:complexType>
</xs:schema>
<xs:schema xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="XXXX" targetNamespace="XXXX" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified">
<xs:simpleType name="Type1">
<xs:restriction base="xs:string"/>
</xs:simpleType>
</xs:schema>
Thanks in advance.Hi,
I am also getting the same problem on a Web Service created from a function module. This happens when I try to create a new endpoint and save.
Did you manage to find a solution to this.

Radeon HD 7790 + Catalyst = Error: unable to open display (null)
Greetings,
I've installed Arch 2 days ago(migrated from Fedora), but I'm still a newbie to linux, so please have patience.
I've bought AMD Radeon HD 7790 recently and decided that it's time to upgrade system, but since then I had only problems with it. No LiveCD I tried (Fedora 20, Mint) worked properly in graphics mode, so I suspected problem in built-in drivers and moved to linux with text-only installation (Arch), so I could install drivers later.
I've followed wiki manual and installed catalyst, removed open source driver, added nomodeset parametr to GRUB etc. but I'm still stucked, because Xorg won't start(black screen and errors presented in Logs). Tried googling, but learned nothing except Radeon proprietary drivers are comparable to suicide.
Versions:
Kernel: 3-10.40-1-lts (catalyst_build_module sucessful)

I'm sure that the main problem is between keyboard and chair, but I'd like to know, what's wrong with pc
Thanks for your efforts.
Last edited by Mytrin (2014-05-25 19:09:02)I've managed to solve this error:
(EE) AIGLX error: failed to open /usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so, error[/usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
There was missing library and few directories, which I found according to this http://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comme … _correctly at /usr/lib/dri, so I had to just symlink it. However, "unable to open display" error is still annoying me and Xorg is not working.
EDIT: Found EE about missing commands in new Xorg.0.log and installed xterm to solve this. Now I don't have entirely black screen after startx. There is white rectangular terminal and fglrxinfo seems to be all right as it detected my Radeon and OpenGL. Now I have to install some DE, but that's another story. Marking as [SOLVED] and once again thanks to clfarron4 for reply.

***3 = 3 error ? in Gem Rad 3.2
Did anyone have problem like this ?
It appears when I'm trying to load an applet connected to my security domain
Thanks for helpLooked at the install instructions from SAP : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_smp303sdk/helpdata/en/7c/125dfc70061014b91491f47674add9/content.htm
and it mentions:
Install Visual Studio 2010 or Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package. If you are running Eclipse on the same machine in which you installed SAP Mobile Platform Server, Microsoft Visual C++ is already installed
So I installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package - still getting the same error, I double checked My Computer and verified that it is 64-bit.
Thoughts? -

Error in installing Oracle client 11g on Windows 2008 R2 (64bit) XenApp 6
I am trying to install "win64_11gR2_client.zip" Oracle 11g Client 64bit on Windows 2008 R2 that has been clamped and restricted by our security department. Details of the clamp:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885409
The Windows 2008 R2 server is running on CITRIX XenApp 6.
When we try to install the client on a normal version of Windows 2008 R2 without the Clamp, the installation follows through and successfully. However, when we try to install the 11g Client on the Clamped Windows 2008 R2, we get the error below:
[INS-08802] Unable to instantiate the View class referred by View ID 'SummaryUI'
This indicates the primary issue is with the clamp. My issue now is knowing what exactly is causing the error. what restrictions should I enable from the clamp in order to get the installation working?
Here is the error log:

Everything worked fine until I paid and downloaded a program called Rad Lab that works in Photoshop Elements. I got that downloaded and then tried to open PSE and it won't open and I keep getting this error message.
I've attached a screen shot of what the message is. Also Adobe ran an update on my computer and it came up with an error message as well. Adobe Photoshope Elements 9.0.3. Update- "Patch cannot be applied. Please contact customer support"
So I called customer support and the wait time is over 1 hour so here I am on this forum trying to get some answers! If anyone can help I would appreciate it so much!!!
Thanks!Well, uninstall that RadLab thing, reboot and see if PSE then works.

SSO protected Forms application fails with an OID error.
Hello everyone,
I have a fresh install of Oracle Application Server 10.1.2 on RedHat Enterprise Linux 4. No patches were installed yet.
I've setup Forms to use the Single Sign-On server (SSO). Then created a user with a Resource Access Descriptor (RAD) in the Oracle Internet Directory (OID). I can successfully use the Forms application when I'm not using the SSO.
However, problems arise when I set the Forms application to use SSO. Once I get authenticated, the application.log files fills up with the following lines:
07/05/08 16:30:38 formsweb: In getUserId method: caught oracle.ldap.util.AccessDeniedException: General Error when performing search: getExtendedProperties [LDAP: error code 50 - Insufficient Access Rights]
07/05/08 16:30:38 formsweb: In doRequest method in ue.isNamingException

While $ORACLE_HOME/ldap/log I see some new log files created which also contain erros. Such a log file is oidldapd01s3739.log and contains these lines:
BEGIN
2007/05/08:14:37:13 * ServerWorker (REG):7 * ConnID:194 * OpId:5235 * OpName:modify
ERROR * gslsbzCheckDupAttrValinEntry : Normlztn failed for "cn=Logical Application Group, orclApplicationCommonName=formsApp_osielle.notarius.com_47F26490FB4311DB8F3BBF0DDB09B635, cn=forms, cn=Products, cn=OracleContext"
END
I've RTFM a lot about this but I still can't find a way to fix this. I've found some info in Metalink Note 360341.1 "In Getuserid Method: Caught Error When Logging Into Forms With SSO Enabled". Unfortunately, my formsweb.cfg file is already setup as the workaround that it proposes, so that doesn't help.
It seems like the attribute "orclresourceviewers" does not get created when the RAD is generated? One of you (Sandeep I believe) suggested that it may have to do with a lack of an OID Index and that I should use catalog.sh to fix this. I unfortunately don't know how to proceed.
I've also opened a TAR, but Oracle Support doesn't seem to understand what's going on.
Any ideas anyone?
Many thanks,
DavidHi everyone,
Alright, I solved the problem. It seems like the OID is very very very picky with the formsweb.cfg syntax. Especially with the quotes: don't use them!
For example, I had set the oid_formsid & formsid_group_dn values between double-quotes. Removing them fixed the error.
Here's an RCS output from the modifications.

SSO and Form 10g, Setting RAD of OID for DB users identified externally
Please Help!
Current environment:
- All users were created with identified externally in Database (OPS$)
- SSO was setup correctly according to OID admin guide Ch 43 and SSO admin guide ch 8 for App10g. (user login orasso without seeing basic auth/sso login form)
- DB parameters:
remote_os_authent=TRUE
os_authent_prefix=' '
issues:
- set ssoDynamicResourceCreate = true
When user hit the form link, i.e. http://host:port/forms90/f90servlet?config=test&form=appwelcome
it redirects to http://host:7777/oiddas/ui/oracle/ldap/das/mypage/AppCreateResourceInfo?...
where it shows Resource Name TEST and prompts username/password/database
when user inputs window logon /password/database value (same as in form6i)
it returns ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied.
- set ssoDynamicResourceCreate = false
manually set RAD for the end user (I am not sure if I am doing this correctly):
Name = test
TYPE = oracledb
username = (blank)
password = (blank)
datebase = prod
When enduser hits the form link, it returns ORA-01017.... same errors.
Any ideas how to trouble shoot and configure RAD for users with OPS$ auth?
thank you in advance!
KanThank you for your input!
This is how our current production is setup that users use os authent (OPS$) to access forms/reports 6i. I'm just trying to migrate it to app10g environment.
I did configure SSO with WNA, it works fine. Any users can access NON-DB connected forms/reports. Only when forms/reports require DB conn, users who
have db password can access them with one click. But users identified externally will keep seeing Oracle Logon and Ora-01017 after authent into MidTier.
Setup RAI with one real db user account is not ideal since there are 1000+ OS authent users who have different database roles. Turn off the OPS$ and setup dummy password for 1000+ users may be the last solution.

Error 404: SRVE0190E: File not found when trying to access jsp
I am using RAD (new to web dev) for some reason my app is unable to find .jsp's when they are not in the web content folder. I have a predefined package for my jsp's and when I run my servlet I get
Error 404: SRVE0190E: File not found: /WEB-INF/classes/app/view/search.jsp
now if I amend my URL in the servlet to "/search.jsp" and move the jsp to the web content folder, it works. I just don't understand why it cannot find the file when I put it in the package I created and link to it, but finds it just fine in the webcontent folder. Is there some unwritten rule JSP's MUST be in the webcontent folder? Because when i do that, then I have issues with my image links for the GUI (get red X's for all my images regardless of the fact they are linked properly.) Basically if I put my jsps where I want, look fine in design and preview, but the jsp isnt found when executed, if I move them to the web content folder the images no longer work but the jsps run. I am getting rather frustrated. Any help is appreciated.Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Are you using cleanup software like CCleaner or other software that may corrupt the cache?
You can try to delete the entire cache folder.<br />
You can find the location of the cache folder on the about:cache page (open via the location bar, like a web page).
You can check the <b>browser.cache.disk.enable</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page to verify that the disk cache is enabled (should be true). -

Thanks
Sándor LencséI would make verify the database within Crystal report and then re publish it again. It seems it doesn't get the connection to the db.
Have you refreshed the database within Crystal Reports?
As Graham said, does it open in Crystal Viewer?
another thing would be to add the DSN (System DSN) onto your client machine as well. Maybe it is not getting a right connection.
Try it and let us know.
Kind Regards
Jehanzeb
