Error in Report HRALXSYNC

Hi all
We're running an E-Recruiting 6.0 (Support Package 8) implementation on a integrated SAP HR environment (ERP 2005). We would like to activate all our extisting employees for E-Recruiting with the Report HRALXSYNC. After an unsuccessful run, the report activated only half of our employees and ended with a dump.
( OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED --> CL_HRRCF_ERP_CONVERT_P_2_CAND=CP). The report ended with unsuccessful call of method cl_hrrcf_candidate_info=>get_instance (Together with the object also IT5102 must be created)
We have now the situation, that some of our employees do have a relationship between CP and NA (candidate) which is right, but the BP (Business Partner) wasn't attached to the CP. Do you know, how to attach a BP object to the CP object?
Thanks for your help.
Fitli

Hello Fitli,
setting up the integration between hr and e-recruiting is difficult as documentation is not really complete so it is quite difficult to say why the hralxsync run ended with an error. There are at least a dozen of things you can do wrong. First of all you have to ensure that newly maintained employees are synchronizes properly. If that is is running you can check for errors in hralxsync.
The best way to handle your problem is in my opinion to rollback the system to the system copy before the hralxsync run, then analyse the problem and try to get a clear hralxsync run after it.
In all cases you should check sap net for the latest notes on hralxsync we had one some weeks ago.
If a rollback is not possible for some reason i think the best way to get your system in a clear state is to make a small report. If all business partners were created successfully try a pattern matching on name and birthdate to get business partner and matching employee number. then get the CP number and create a HRP1001 record for the relation. as the relation to the business partner is an external one you only have to create one dataset for the relation. I think a simple insert should work in this context but if you want some more comfort there should be a hr function module for it.
Perhaps you can post some additional information on the shortdumps so someone can give a better hint on the error. because just adding the relation does not ensure you do not have any misconfiguration.
´best rgds.

  • Error in report generation-Load report failed

I have installed crystal reports  for VS2005 runtime in my live environment. When i try to load the report file from a .Net page i am getting the error'Error in Report generation-Load report failed'.
This works fine in development and testing but when moved to production we are having issues.
I believe i have a workaround i.e i need to open the rpt in a VS 2005 environment and re-write the connection string again. This fix had worked in development and testing when we had the same issue.
But not sure if this is a known issue with crystal reports and if so do we have any hot fixes for the same.
    Please help.

    Hi Don,
The reason why i posted the item on 'data Connectivity issues' is because i suspect the problem is with the connection string.Though i had provided the correct connection string,re-writing the connection string with the same info might help to fix the issue with loading the report.
Does it mean that there is a problem in the connectivity?
I have a risk here that i cant re-write the connection string..i.e to open the RPT file in VS2005 and bind it.The production web server & database server sits in a  third party environment and it is not in the company network. So i cant connect to this server to re-write from any other severs in the network.
Is there any fix which can applied to the server to get this issue resolved?
    Cheers
    Nithya.

  • Error from reports from ZAM(Graph or PDF) - File does not begin with '%PDF-'.

I just noticed today that any Graph or PDF report I try to view I get the
following error - Error from reports from ZAM - File does not begin with
'%PDF-'. I tried to just save the file and then open it, but get the same
error. I can open other pdf files I have downloaded from other sites ok.
Anyone have any idea? I haven't done anything to that server that I am
aware of in quite a while.
    Thanks

I took a closer look at the files it downloaded, opened them with notepad,
    haer is what it says:

error is "Report Contents No data

    Hi Godavari,
Firstly, make sure there are some events happened in the day you selected and mathcing with the options you set.
I could reproduce your issue if I don't do any events in the day I set in the custom report.
So, please try to do some actions based on the options in the custom report you set, then go to Audit log report to run a custom report based on the current day, compare the result.
Note: Audit log reports only log the events which are happened after you enable Audit log reports.
If the report still doesn't contain data, please check the log file to find more information base on the Correlation ID.

I would really appreciate any help in resolving this problem.\
The application has been running from quite some time and this problem started just recently.
    Thank You.
    -Rick

    Hi Rick,
According to your description, the exception “System.IO.IOException: The file exists.” is thrown out when you export the report on report manager.
Generally, the exception is thrown out because there are more than 65535 files without deleting previous temporary files in our temporary directory. Based on my research, it has reported the same issue when exporting the report on report manager, and deleting all
temp files from C:\Windows\Temp could resolve the issue. I would also suggest you remove the temporary files from C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp. Please refer to the first comment at this link:
    System.IO.IOException: The file exists
    Reference:
    Path.GetTempFileName Method
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • BI Publisher - PO_DISPATCH Error generating report output

    Hi everyone,
Sorry for my bad english... having said that...
I need to modify the Purchase Order print. First, I wanted to see the standard version to get an idea of how much different it was. Well, I don't know because it doesn't work.
    Error:
    Error generating report output: (235,2309)
Error occurred during the process of generating the output file from template file, XML data file, and translation XLIFF file.
I know there are several topics on the web, but all of them are about new or custom reports, this is a standard one. When I preview the report on the report definition it works fine, so I assume there's a problem with the XML file generated. When I preview the report specifying an alternative XML I get the same error. The XML file I choose was the one generated by PeopleSoft when trying to view the printable version of the PO online.
So, I start cutting portions of the XML File. I started leaving only de Header Data and it works OK, when I add the Lines it failed. I add the Line Fields one by one to detect what was the problem... And finally it failed when I add AMT_LINE_MAX. Why? No idea, is it because its value is '0,000' instead of '0.000'? I don't think that should be the problem since there are other numeric fields on the header, all with ',' as a decimal separator...
    Am I missing some configuration?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Veronica.

Have a look at the following doc:
"Error generating report output. (235,2309)" When Running the "PO XMLP Dispatch" XML Publisher Report (PO_DISPATCH) for a Purchase Order with a Ship To Location with Special Characters in the Address [ID 1299876.1]

Stating this happens for example when there is a location with special characters.

    Hi,
From the error message, it failed because of "invalid argument: storagetype = '101' ".
101 means the storage type is "system" + "cache". Is there any change on your storage before the issue occurs? For example whether the source storage is changed?

  • Error exporting report with sub report and parameters

    Post Author: joncombe

I am using the JRC to export to a PDF file a report that has a sub report within it. Both the main and subreport connect to an Oracle database via an Oracle ODBC connection and both share a single parameter, RUN_ID. I need to set a value for the parameter in both reports. crystalreportrunner.CrystalReportRunner.main(CrystalReportRunner.java:91)I believe the error is that the SQL query in the main report is being updated with the RUN_ID but the SQL in the sub-report is not. I am not sure why the update to set the RUN_ID in the second SQL query fails, but it seems to me the JRC is not detecting it as a missing parameter and is passing the SQL including {?RUN_ID} to Oracle, causing the JDBC driver to fail with this NullPointerException. I think this because further up in the log I see this:-INFO - Executing query: SELECT v.* FROM v_ger_main vwhere v.run_id = 254INFO - Verifying databaseINFO - Executing query: SELECT h.* FROM v_ger_av_ls_tagging hwhere h.run_id = {?RUN_ID}ERROR - QueryEngine error: verify database failed. Both connections are from the same database, but the first has the updated value (254) whilst the second query still seems to have the parameter and so fails to verify. Can someone suggest how I can fix this problem or if I have missed something that is required?Thanks.Jon.

What happens if, instead of passing in parameter field values, you pass the report source object to the viewer (ReportViewerBean for stand-alone or CrystalReportViewer for web)?  The viewer should introspect the report for the parameter fields and bring up a parameter field entry dialog box.  Does such a dialog box come up?  Is only the main report parameter field queried for, or both main and subreport paramter fields?  When you enter correct values for the field, does the report display?
Hopefully, the above should narrow down the issue.
By the way, JRC doesn't support ODBC connections, only Java based connectivity such as JDBC, JavaBeans and XML.  If you have a report with ODBC, then it looks for a JNDI connection with the same name.

  • Re: BUG? APEX 4.0: ORA-20503 error editing report with 400+ columns

    Hello Everyone.
I've run into something quite strange and am hoping you can help me.
I am using Apex 4.0.1 and Oracle version 10.2.0.5. I've created a "classical" report in which the underlying SQL is a very simple:
select * from pvtabThe Oracle table pvtab consists of 419 columns, all of which are varchar2(88) and number type. That's it.
When I run the report, al of the columns show up as expected.
However, when I go into the "Report Attributes" tab and click on one of the fields (any of them, it doesn't matter which one), I immediately get the following error:
ORA-20503: Current version of data in database has changed since user initiated update process. current checksum = "598CAA7B68746A66F4B99E1512C36DED" application checksum = "0"If if replace the "*" with a few actual column names, then I am able to access any of these columns without problem.
If I put back the "*", I then encounter this error again.
I have never seen this error with other SQL SELECT statements in which I use the "*" qualifier to retrieve all columns from the table.
And so, I am wondering if the error is caused because of the large number of columns (419) in my table.
I've seen this same error mentioned in connection with forms but never with a report.
So, is there some limit to the number of columns one can have in a "classic" or interactive report?
Any idea why I would be getting this error?
Here is the DDL for my table pvtab:

So, is there some limit to the number of columns one can have in a "classic" or interactive report?Yes. See Oracle® Application Express Application Builder User's Guide Release 4.0, Appendix B: Oracle Application Express Limits.
Any idea why I would be getting this error? No, but I've replicated it in APEX 4.0.2.00.07 on 11.2.0.1.0 EE using a table of 420 <tt>varchar2(88)</tt> columns:
    >
ORA-20503: Current version of data in database has changed since user initiated update process. current checksum = "50C9BDC0AA1AEF0EB272E9158B2117B4" application checksum = "0"
    >
Happens whether using <tt>select *</tt> or including all column names in the query. (I know you don't want to type all the column names, but I'd never use <tt>select *</tt> in a production application: always use a proper column list. You can get one without typing by drag-and-drop of a table in most IDEs, or a query from <tt>user_tab_columns</tt>.)
I hit the problem at 274 columns. Such an arbitrary number leads me to think that the problem is not one of the number of columns per se, but is due to some other limit (possibly a 32K VARCHAR2/RAW buffer somewhere).
    Workaround:
Updates to the report column attributes are actually being saved, and you can navigate them using the Page Definition tree view as described in Appendix B.
    Getting More Help:
This is probably a bug. If you have a support agreement with Oracle raise an SR with Oracle Support.
    Also:
<li>Search the forum using the "ORA-20503" code and other possible terms to see if there's anything relevant. I had a quick look but the only thread in this context recommended an upgrade on an Oracle 9 DB version that's not compatible with APEX 4.0.
<li>To get the attention of the Oracle APEX team or anyone else who may know more about this problem than we do, edit your original post and change the Subject to be more specific about the actual nature of the problem: <em>BUG? APEX 4.0: ORA-20503 error editing report with 400+ columns</em>, and include your database version/edition and the definition of the <tt>PVTAB</tt> table.
    Finally:
Somebody's bound to ask, so we might as well get started:
    <li>Why so many columns?
<li>What requirement is this trying to fulfil?

  • What are the reasons for following Javascript error in Report Viewer

    Post Author: dhuka
    CA Forum: Crystal Reports
    Hello Everybody!
I am using Crystal Reports 10 in my web application. But unfortunately I am surrounded with strange problem related to it because of which I have been unable to deploy is on client-side. In my application the error given below is displayed as javascript error in Report Viewer and report is not displayed. But more frustrating part is that I am getting the same error due to different problem with reporting and I am stuck with it as I am unable to figure out what's causing the error now. Earlier this error appeared due to problem with parameter passing to stored procedure which I resolved it and error vanished but once again it has shown up. Moreover this error now appears less frequently and randomly therefore it is even difficult to trace the cause.
Problem with this Web page might prevent it from being displayed properly or functioning properly. In the future, you can display this message by double-clicking the warning icon displayed in the status bar.
    Line: 40Char: 12Error: Expected ')'Code: 0URL: http://myServer/myApp/myForms/myReports/ReportViewer.aspx
So can anybody tell me what factors might be causing this errors as the error text is very vague in nature and gives no idea about the actual error.
Guys, I hope for your kind co-operation.
    Regards,

    CA Forum: Crystal Reports
    Thanks for you reply Krishna.
But this syntax error is the one that is creating problem for me as I cannot trace it. The form ReportViewer.aspx contains only a report viewer object which remains un-binded to any ReportDocument even at runtime.
At code behind ReportViewer.aspx I have code below that associates SQL Stored Procedure Parameter and Report Filter along with report name. Once all above is associated with ReportDocument, I export ReportDocument to PDF file format and display the report. Here I dont' even bind ReportDocument with my ReportViewer. Moreover, as I mentioned previously this error is encountered randomly (with no reasonable explanation so far) on client PC (while browsing through application).
I hope below code give you good idea of the way I am implementing my reporting.
Looking forward to you solution. Please note that I am only passing the ReportFileName and Parameter and Filter Criteria to this form while dataTable by itself using the connection information.

  • Error: The report source could not be retrieved from the state object.

I have been trying to create a report in a JSF page. The relevant parts are below:

                    <jsp:setProperty name="MyBean" property="reportLocation" value="Report1.rpt" />

Since I couldn't find any way to delete this post, I made another post with the same subject. Please ignore this post and help me to find a solution for the problem posted in the other thread with the same subject. Thanks in advance.

When I check my boot SSD drive using Disk Utility under Mavericks, I often get "Incorrect number of extended attributes" errors.  But if I boot off an external drive and check the same SSD, no errors are reported.
This happens not just with the SSD in my Mac Mini, but with another SSD in my MacBook (both now running Mavericks).  So far as I know, all of the kit I am using is in good order (despite the file corruption reports).  So I am beginning to wonder if it could be due to a bug in Mavericks?  Both SSD drives have been formatted to MacOS Extended (journaled) format.  Should I have used a different format, I wonder?
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
    Does anyone have a solution?
Or an explanation that might help my investigation of the issue?
    Thanks guys,

I understand that the Corsair Force 3 is not one of the SSD drives that are supported on Apple Macs.
I did try downloading and using Trim Enabler, but the error message came up both when it was off and when it was on.
I understand that not everyone thinks Trim Enabler is a good program, though there is a new version out now, so I may give it another try.

    Hi again OGELTHORPE.
I've already run two hardware tests. One quick one and one extended one. It was unable to pick anything up.
It's like everything is running perfectly, but when I go to erase the HDD or partition it, it pops up with the error message. Even when I try to erase and partition using "Terminal", I received the same error message.
It's beginning to do my head in, but will see if replacing the SATA cable will make any difference. If it doesn't, I'll hazard a guess it could be the Logic Board.
    Thanks again for your suggestions!
    L.
