Error in RSRV

Hi
I am getting a short dump while uploading to an ODS
On some analysis i was suggested for transaction RSRV
I m getting the following error on "checking consistency of PSA with SAP administrator"
Inconsistency: High value for table /BIC/B0000590000: 0002 ; PARTNO value in RSTSODS: 0004
Please let me know its meaning.

Hi,
this means your data in the PSA are inconsistent (because of wrong partition). In the trans. SE38 start the programms RSAR_PSA_PARTITION_CHECK and RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DEFINITION (only in check-modus). Try to solve the inconsistency with the 1. programm or pls. post the error messages here.

Time Dimension Consistency Error in RSRV - Need Help

Hello,
I am having a problem when I run RSRV on our 0ECCS_C01 cube. We have extended the time characteristics to include posting period (0FISCPER3). The only problems RSRV finds is when 0FISCPER is period 0 and 0FISCPER3 is 0. For some reason, these are being flagged as inconsistent. I think this is causing negative performance on our queries because I feel partitioning may not be getting used from some research I've done due to this inconsistency.
Here are the errors I am getting from RSRV:
1. Record with the DIMID 410 contains non-fitting time characteristics
Message no. RSCV053
Diagnosis
The data record of the time dimension table with the described DIMID contains values for time characteristics that do not fit together.
2. This DIMID is used by 9860 records of the fact tables
3. No master data found for characteristic of test described subsequently
Message no. RSCV083
Diagnosis
No master record exists for a characteristic used in the time dimension. The characteristic is one of the characteristics described in the following message with one of the SIDs named there or it is the fiscal year variant that was derived from one of the characteristics.
4. Time characteristic 0FISCPER value 132000000 does not fit with time char 0FISCPER3 val 0
Message no. RSCV054
Diagnosis
The described values of the specified time characteristics do not fit together.
How exactly can I get these time characteristics to "fit" properly? Will it require a data reload?

Error in RSRV check

Hi Friends,
I have to run a RSRV check for the some Characteristic Infoobjects.
When i schedule the analysis for an infoobject in background, i constantly get a short dump with this run time error TSV_BTR_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED and DBIF_REPO_PART_NOT_FOUND.
I would really appreciate if some one could help me out with what this error is.

Thanks for looking for the CD. Anyways I actually did figure out how to run RSRV checks for the cubes.
But we landup in problem, when we run RSRV check for Infoobjs.
My qustion is how to find out which notes have been already applied to this 2.0B sys.
I also looked at the note: 314044, it say it is for 2.0A, wanted to make sure if this could be used for 2.0b also.
Also i tried running RSRV check with just few tests for Char, when no other bkgnd jobs were scheduled. The job got cancelled with the same error.
Please do suggest how i should proceed further.

ODS activation error after system copy

Hi all,
we are getting error on activation of request in ODS. I ran RSRV tests on the ODS "Check How Up-To-Date the Generated Programs of an ODS Object Are "
Result was :
Activation program is not current
Difference in line: 1469
Lines in temporary program: i_logsys = 'BWS300'
Lines in active program: i_logsys = 'BD2300'
Activation program has to be generated again
I had clicked Correct Error in RSRV and the problem was resolved.
I have also done the following steps as mentioned in sap note 518426, but did not solve my problem
Execute transaction "RSSGPCLA".
Set the status of the programs belonging to program classes
"RSDRO_ACTIVATE", "RSDRO_UPDATE" and "RSDRO_EXTRACT" to "Generation required".
To do this, select the program class and then activate the "Set
statuses" button. Important: Reset the three named program classes
only.
I have this issue with all ODS objects. It is very time consuming to run the above RSRV task for all ODS objects.
Is there any program that I can run to regenerate activation program for all ODS objects?

Not very sure it would resolved the issue ,but have a look at note# 886102.

DataSource. This leads to problems after the logical name of the source
system (BDLS) is converted.

Error in Generation SID

Hi gurus...
In the z object error message comesup.
"Value in SID table is 000000000087660001; correct value is 000000000087660001; SID in SID table is 169947"...How to correct this error

Try correcting error using the repair error option in RSRV.
This error comes because the wrong values has been assigned for object with this SID.So try correcting the error in RSRV..

RSRV: Oracle statistics info table for table /BIC/FCube1 may be obsolete

Hi,
I run RSRV on cube1 and got several yellow lines such as:
Oracle statistics info table for table /BIC/FCube1 may be OBSOLETE
Oracle statistics info table for table /BIC/SSalesOrg may be OBSOLETE
Oracle statistics info table for table /BIC/DCube1P may be OBSOLETE
DB statistics for Infocube Cube1 must be recreated.
I read here on SDN that running Correct Error in RSRV is only a temporay fix and that the best solution is to fix it from the database level with BRCONNECT.
But the DBA says she has already run BRCONNECT yet there was no change in these several of the lines which came out as Yellow. ... still same OBSOLETE messages.
1. Any additional sugestions to fix these problems at the database level?
2. In case I decide to fix with Correct Error in RSRV, what issues can I encounter with the cube?
Can this lead to a failure of the cube?
Will users encounter any issues with report?
Does fixing the OBSOLETE in the error message in RSRV have any hazzards?

it is years of data but how do you decide that the data is huge to warrant creating a new cube?
You noted that

How do I verify that?
Is creating a new cube the only solution to this OBSOLETE problem?
Why is it referring to only particular tables as OBSOLETE and doesn't that indicate that this is not a problem with the overall cube?

After saving I get an error R7 075 - InfoObject Z_WIDTH (version A) is not compounded.
Any ideas for that?

Hi,
It is very difficult to give any views on a error like this unless one takes a look at it in the system.... However I would suggest you to go to RSRV and execute all the elementary tests for Master data for the info object 0MATERIAL... this should give you more details about the error you are facing!
You can then correct the errors through RSRV or fix it manually depending on the errors you find here...

RSRV - Repairing of Infoobject is failing

Dear All,
In my BI system, I have a master data infoobject 0EMPLOYEE. Since last one week the master data load was failing with duplicate records. Actually there were no duplicate records arriving from the source system. I analyzed the infoobject in RSRV and there were RED marks for the check: "Test Time intervals in Q table for a characteristic with time-dep. master data".
Bu the system was unable to repair this. In Dev and QA I am not facing the same problem. I cannot transport this as a fresh because in Production many reports are being run and I will not be getting the approval too. I guess the SID tables too are corrupted.
What can be the possible measures to overcome this issue ?

Yes I am sure that there are no duplicate records in the source system. In the infopackage I checked the option "ignore double data records". Then also I am getting the problem. We have done thorough analysis of the data in source system and finally we detected this error in RSRV. Even the patch level that we run is latest.
For your information, I am providing the more details of RSRV check.
1. Characteristic 0EMPLOYEE: Chain of active intervals: 13,107 gaps (show max. 50):
2. Characteristic 0EMPLOYEE: Chain of active intervals: 1 overlapping (show max. 25)
3. Char. 0EMPLOYEE: Chain of changed intervals: 2,876 overlapping (show max. 25):
4. Characteristic 0EMPLOYEE: Errors found during this test
5. Characteristic 0EMPLOYEE: 9,561 values from table /BI0/SEMPLOYEE do not exist in table /BI0/QEMPLOYEE
6. Characteristic 0EMPLOYEE : Following versions are incorrect: (Display max. 50)
Santosh - your program has partially corrected the problem. Now I am left with the first two errors.

Facing Issue with Stock Ageing report

In Blocked Stock Ageing report Output, I am facing following issues
1. Stock is correct but once we include the "Reason For Movement" then the aging is getting wrong and in some cases value is coming Negative.
2. In some cases "Reason For Movement" is coming in ‘#’, but this is a mandatory field. Hence cannot be blank.
Note:
1. Overall stock is coming correct.
2. Reason Movement chat. is in free char
3. Report is based 0IC_C03.

Reason for Movement is loading from what attribute? check in RSRV for that attribute.
RSRV-->All Elementary Tests ->Master Data ->Compare Size of P-, Q- with X- and Y- Tables respectively .
If it has any error then correct that error in RSRV. It will solve your problem.

SID's of MD object not reflected in Attribute SID table

Hello Experts,
I happened to delete the SID table of a display attribute of a MD characteristic and then re-loaded the master data. The SID's for the MD object is being created, but no SID's exist for the display attribute. I have a query having the display attribute as selection criteria and no values are being populated.
I ran an RSRV test (Elementary) for the display attribute Infoobject and it gave me the error 'Missing initial entry in table /BIC/SZ*. 'Correct Error' in RSRV didn't help.
Could you please advise on fixing the issue and having the SID table for the display attribute populated?

Go to Se14 and rebuild SID table or adjuct the entries .
Then try to reload data to taht MD object.
2. Run RSRV for that MD object with test type master data attributes

Activating ODS to CUBE (urgent)

where my problem is while doing further processing for ODS to CUBE i'm getting an error as follows
1.Error 8 when starting the extraction program
2.Error in source system
3.Error occurred when updating data from ODS

Dont create manually from SU01, the best way is just goto SPRO -->SAP Business Information warehouse -->Automated processes --> Create User for Background Process...
The system prompts with BWREMOTE..just give a password and save it ..it would automatically pull up the necessary profiles.
Error in source systems was giving to me when i have an extractor which extraction job in R3 was cancelled.....this error is received in BW....also you can receive this error if the connection between systems is lost....check in Source Systems and check Connection in order to check if is a network problem...
ckeck the RFC connection once.
check if any dumps created ( i mean for detials)
If possible give some more details of your problem
there may be no connection with source system to BW system.
please check the same in RSA1 Source system tree for the source system, context menu, check the connection.
if not activate the transfer stru. of this object in BW system by replicating the datasource.
Check in RSRV for the prg that updates data for this ODS,Correct it if you find some errors
Goto RSRV, Select the test for ODS Updating program..give the ODS name and execute,if you get an error, you have the option to correct it there..

Loading time to cube

hello all,
i am facing a unique problem.
when loading to the ODs the load takes place successfully but when activating the load it fails but in the monitor it still shows yellow and i am unable to make out where the error is occuring. Also when i am loading to the cube from the ODS it seems to get caught when inserting into the /bi0/smaterial and i am not sure what needs to be done. i ran RSRV on the infocube and checked the SID .
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated

Hi all,
I checked the status tab of the monitor and it doesnt show me any errors. But it keeps failing when i trying to activate the data. I went to transasction ST22 and saw some runtime error.
it says dbif_rsql_invalid_rsql .
Also checked the rsrv for 0material and it says the following error 1 value from S table does not exist in P table. There is no option to correct the error in RSRv.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
the 29.02.2002 doesn't exist therefore it isn't a valid date.
Check wether you have posted data with this date in your cube but perhaps it not the case.
You can then proceed with "correct error" from RSRV. This will delete the DIM entry.
This entry has been created somehow because a load was providing a record with this data which shouldn't be....

Delete the cube indexes from Performance Tab of the Manage of the cube manually and check again.
