  • Error when opening query in BEx Analyzer BI7

    Hi all,
I get the following error when I open a query in the Analyzer.
<b>Unable to convert character set 4103 to character set 4103. possible.</b>
    Afterwards it closes the connection.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Meurant.

    Hi Meurant,
Most likely it is a mismatch between your Client GUI and sever.eps
The following steps helped in some cases.
    1) Uninstall the SAP GUI on your m/c.
    2) Upgrade all you operating system patches to the required level...If it's Windows XP.....just
get the latest updates from Microsoft.
    3) Re-install  GUI for  7.0
    Good luck, BB

Please check that you have the requisite authorizations to execute queries on this infoprovider

  • Syntax error in program SAPLRRK0 - while running query in Bex/Portal

    Hi all,
we just transported all the objects from dev to QA and data is loaded and everything went good. We are SPS9 and front end patch 903
Now I am trying to run queries on Bex analyzer and portal and I am getting this error.
    "Syntax error in program SAPLRRK0."
Also on portal I am getting these extra messages
Error while executing function module: BICS_PROV_SUBMIT_VARIABLES
Error while executing function module: BICS_PROV_OPEN
I am researching but any input is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Thanks Prakash,
I understand the pre-requisite notes issue but when we are moving like 50 notes from BW Dev to BW QA i am not sure how it works. I overheard the basis guy saying he is going to appy notes as per time stamp they were applied in BW Dev system. I will check on that though.
I have applied notes 969330, 969772, 977912,978359, 981814, 987135 in last 2 weeks. (which probaly are some how related to the issue). We have also applied some BI-Java notes in Portal Dev which are not transported to Portal QA.
    Thanks,
    Kiran

  • Error Message while opening workbook or Query in BEx Analyzer

    Hi all,
Whenever I try to open any workbook or query using Bex Analyzer I get an error message saying "Serious error occured while reading history folder" Message class RSOBJS, number 170. But this doesnt stop me from opening the workbook or the query.
Kindly help me to suppress or eliminate this message. I am not able to find this message in the list of messages available in RSRT either.
    Thanks and Regards
    Mui Kanva

    Hi Mui Kanva,
Does your problem occur in a copied system?
I have same problem in our Quality-BW (copied from productive system). WE are in our QBW not able to activate personalization correct and get the same error messages. I suggest the reason in the fact, that the source-system Myself (QBW) does not work correct. This reason causes that export data sources could not be activated via RFC-Connection.
Please check to activate your source system?
We accept the error messages in our QBW and did not activate the RFC connection.
    Regards
    Andreas

  • Unable to open Query in Bex Analyzer

    Hi All,
I am unable to open query in BEx Analyzer though i am able to open it in RSRT.It gives me no error,as soon as i open query it shows processing then nothing happens. No selection screen nothing,no error also.
Any pop up something like that  which is blocking the execution of Query??And its in production system,so its pretty urgent.

    Hi,
RSRT works while Analyzer doesn't. I would check it from the authorizations/roles point of view.
Some time ago I saw similiar error - due to lack of some rights the user was unable to run a query.
After I looked into the data provider definition I saw nothing there. My (admin) rights were good enough to run the query and see the data.
The user had no rights to read some infoprovider data. After granting the rights he could run the query.

  • Getting below error while opening query in bex  3.5x

    Dear Guru's
I am getting below error while opening query in bex  3.5x
The following object were not found when accesing the server .
Press repair to correct the problem (included parts of query deleted) press cancel to undo the last action.

    Karan

    Hi,
    1) When a query administrator with the sufficient authorization (sap_all or the * authorization for the field in the authorization object) is creating the query in query designer including the 'attributes' which are not visible with the 'normal' authorizations, the query will not list the columns in the output when it is executed by the normal user.
    2) so create an authorization object for each of these attributes with * (full authorization)

    Marasa.

  • Unable to run query from BEx query designer

    Hello,
I am connecting remotely to clients environment. I am not able to run query from Bex query designer. System generates IE window with URL
    http://server.com:50300/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?QUERY=ZCOPCM02_Q017&VARIABLE_SCREEN=X&DUMMY=9
    but query result isnt shown.
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.
What kind of setting do I need to change to get query working?
    thanks

    Hi Comandante,
If you are not able to Execute the Query using Query designer, you can also execute the query using RRMX  or RSRT transaction for now until the issue with the query designer is solved ..
    Hope it helps!

  • Infoset query in BEx analyzer

    Hello,
we have a query on an infoset based on an infocube and infoobject. When running the query directly in web, the data is shown. When we run the query in BEx, we get "No applicable data found" . Is there some setting we forgot or are there issues with Infosets and BEx?
    Thanks!

    Hello,
Try to run the query with transaction RSRT2.
Probably youwill experiencing the same message error.
Porbably you are using different users, with different roles/authorization.
Associate SAP_ALL and BI_ALL for the affected user. If works, there is something wrong with the user's roles.
If the issue remains, open a message to BW-BEX-OT-OLAP component.
    Best regards,
    Edward John

  • Cannot execute a query in Bex Analyzer

    Hi,
I installed SAP GUI 710 (patch level 8) and I have no problems going into Bex Query Designer but when I try running the report in  Analyzer, it doesnt work. I get the selection screen and when I click on enter, i get a blank screen (the data is not displayed. I remember in previous versions of excel, you had to do something to the macro security settings. I am using Excel 2007.. Can you help? Do I have to do anything else

In Excel 2007, choose excel options under the Office ribbon menu. Choose Trust Center. Select the button Trust center settings. Select Macro Settings in the left pane and choose Enable All macros and check the check box for Trust Access to the VBA project object model.
