Hi,
I have a scenario like RFC to JDBC synch scenario, so what would be the QOS for sending( RFC) communication channel and as well as JDBC communicaiton channel.
Thanks n Advance.,
XeonHi,
Neither the Sender RFC adapter nir the Receiver JDBC adapter provide the option to select the QOS.
In your case if the report triggering the call to XI is making a Synch Call then the QOS in the SOAP header will be BE. If the Inbound Interface for the Receiver JDBC adapter is also a Synchronous Interface the QOS is taken as BE for the Receiver JDBC adapter.
You need not manually change the QOS anywhere as long as you are using Synch message interfaces.

This looks like a permission error for the user role provided in production. try sending soap request from web client tool and see whether you get the same error.
Check whether you have all the permissions required and also check whether there is WS security in the production environment.

Error in Import Adaptive RFC Model
Hi SDN,
I am trying to develop an application using Import Adaptive RFC Model, while creating a model i could not able to connect to the backend system after giving the single server parameters. When i click on the next button a pop up is displayed with an error message *"User Name or Password wrong" *.
But i could able to login to R/3 with the same userid and password from SAP logon pad.
Really i am at Six and Seven's to trace out this error. Please suggest me how to overcome this error and create the model succesfully.
Regards
BashaHi Praveen & Chaitanya
Thanks for your quick response and informative threads.
Actually in order to import an adaptive rfc model
I have right clicked the model node to create a model and given the model name, package name, model data and metadata names and clicked next button. Then in the next screen
Tab Strip -> Single Server:
Host name :
System Number :
client details:
Tab Strip -> Load balancing:
System :
Message Server:
System Name:
Group:
(in Tcode: SLMG i have added the group public also)
client details:
After entering the required details either in Single Server or Load balancing and clicked the next button I could not able estabilish a connection to the backend R/3 and get the list of Bapi's or RFc's. Instead i am getting a pop up message "User Name or Password Wrong". I could not able to proceed from here.
But with the same above parameters i could able to logon to R/3 from SAP Logon Pad. I have tried by giving the user name in Cap's and small letters but no use.
As i was strucked at the intial step while creating the model but not during the execution of the program, as far as my knowledge is concerned i think we no need to worry on SLD or JCO connections during the creation of the model. Please correct me if i am wrong and suggest me to rectify the error.

RFC -- XI --- SOAP synch scenaio
Hi Experts,
My current scenario is RFC<> XI <-> SOAP. Rfc sending request and getting responce back from WebService, current scenario is working fine. Now i want to modify existing scenario, I want to send WebService response to RFC and Receiver Mail adapter also, please advice me what should i modify in my scenario. i do not want to change my existing RFC.
Thanks
Dhanush.Hi Gaurav,
May i know why do we use BPM at the beggining for receiving request from R3 to XI,
is it possible to do the same like below steps.
1) RFC sends the request to XI ,
2) XI sends the request to Webservice
3) webservice gives the response back to XI
after receiving the response to XI from webservice, is it possible to use BPM in this step to send the response to RFC and Receiver Mail adapter. instead of using BPM at the beginning.
can any one help me how to do useing this approach.
other than this approach: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/1403 [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]

JDeveloper 11 related questions have their own forum
JDeveloper and OC4J 11g Technology Preview
The JDeveloper 11 RichTree does not use PathSet but RowKeySet to keep track of the selected state. A property on the tree component allows you to set the selected state by referencing a RoKeySet e.g. in a managed bean

Error while using Adaptive RFC model
I am using adaptive RFC model to consume a function module from BI system. The function module expects a Boolean input. While executing the function module we need to give u2018Xu2019 for that input. When I consumed the function module in the webynpro java project , used it and give the input as u2018trueu2019 on runnig the application it gives the following error: u201Ccom.sap.conn.jco.ConversionException: (122) JCO_ERROR_CONVERSION: Cannot convert a value from type java.lang.Object to CHAR at field I_READ_ATTRu201D
There is corresponding dictionary type created called u2018BOOLE_Du2019 but I could not access the dictionary type in the controller java file.
Is there a way to rectify the same or any workaround condition?
With regards,
Sougato.Hi saurabh,
I need to give the value from webdynpro. Hers is the sample code.
rssem_Cha_Values_Get_Input.setI_Read_Attr();
// It expects a boolean value but if i pass a value to the method the obove error is show.
Where as there is a simple type "Boole_d" generated when i consumed the RFC in the webdynpro.
but i couldn't access this simple type in the code.

I dont think so.
Please compare EXACTLY the settings of the two Comunication Channels, especially the server path. Please assure that you ve sent exactly the same message content from Acceptance system.

Error from BPE Adapter using in Async Sync scenario
Hi,
I'm trying to use a Asyn Sync pattern with BPM:
1)File adapter get a file from AS400, split it several XML messages and send to XI(Async)
2)XI get each message and forward to BPM using XI adapter
3)BPM has to send the message to R/3 via BAPI (Sync)
4)R/3 reply the result message to BPM(Sync)
5)BPM has to send the result message to e-mail system if an error had occurred in BAPI call (Async)
When I send directly from File adapter to R/3 works like a charm, but when I want use the BPM, a soap header error says to me, that cannot identify a data type that Im using in the message sent by File adapter.
The error that I'm getting is BPE Adapter UNKNOWN_MESSAGE in soap header.
Regards,
EduardoI got the same problem after installing new patches.
This is what I had to do:
Go to SXI_CACHE
- Choose Business Processes
- select your Buisness Process
If your buisness process has Return Code 99
- Click "Repeate Activate" button
- On the next screen, click Activate again.
This worked for me. Good Luck! -
Get the Error-Message-Number from RFC to SOAP
Hi All,
we have implemented a synchronous SOAP-Call to RFC over XI. How can I get the message-number from the raised exception in the RFC-function Module to the SOAP-Caller?
Thanks a lot
MatthiasMatthias,
For you to have an exception structure when an rfc is imported into Xi, the rfc should have an exception defined. Usually we define an ApplicationError as one of the exceptions.
The idea is that if there was an exception which you didnt handle in your rfc (BAPI return will be emplty), the exception will be returned to XI and shown in SXMB_Moni as hard error(of course there should be a message mapping avaliable in XI )
In all the other cases, since you are populating BAPIReturn which is tables parameter, you should be able see the filled structure in your response message from RFC.

Hi All,
I am doing the RFC to SOAP sync scenario. request R3 data is coming to XI and its triggering to SOAP receiver.
Information SOAP: continuing to response message e9598290-a14f-11df-969a-00145e474044
Error SOAP: response message contains an error Application/UNKNOWN/APPLICATION_ERROR - application fault
i have tried to test the File to SOAP sync scenario to test the SOAP and its working fine. from file request to soap request and soap response to file response.
the same way i have done the RFC request to soap request and soap response to rfc response.
in sxmi_moni i can see the request from RFC but i did't find the request mapping to SOAP.
I have tested the test mapping and its working fine.

the r3 request stacture is:

the soap request stacture is:

is there any issue with mapping?
RFC sender CC error is Error in processing caused by: com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.core.server.RfcServerException: got unexpected document type:DOC_TYPE_UNKNOWN
Can you pls let me know the some inputs to reslove this issue
Thanks,

FILE to SOAP Sync scenario....did you use RequestResponseBean and are you using the same to process RFC to SOAP Sync scenario? If yes, then you dont need the RequestResponseBean for RFC <--> SOAP.
in sxmi_moni i can see the request from RFC but i did't find the request mapping to SOAP. I have tested the test mapping
and its working fine. - - Application APPLICATION_ERROR application fault exception M the r3 request stacture is: the soap
request stacture is: is there any issue with mapping?
I hope you have included a mapping program for Request Mapping and also for Response Mapping in the Interface/ Operation Mapping and included the same in Interface Determination!
Regards,
Abhishek.
