Error in SAP_PMAN_003 Heuristic

Dear Sir,
We have a scenario of planned orders with WBS account assignment and the planned orders are created via MRP execution  in ERP .  We are using PPDS for the scheduling of the manufacturing orders .   To carry out BACKWARD INFINITE scheduling , we used heuristic SAP_PMAN_003 , but the heuristic run is getting terminated with following error ...
Select objects for one order only    Message no. /SAPAPO/PMAN007
Heuristic 'Infinite Backward Scheduling' canceled on 10.02.2012 at 13:04:46    Message no. /SAPAPO/RRP_HEUR045
During the heuristic execution , the Planning Object selection is --> Operations and in  the Order Number (Oper) field has been given the various Planned orders which need to be scheduled .  The mentioned planned orders pertain to 6 different WBS elements .
We request you to pl  guide us about the solution for mentioned problem and also please suggest us the best heuristic which otherwise can be used to meet the above requirement .
With thanks and Regards
Sonia

Dear Mr Thomas
Thanks for a nice reply .
I am confused with the correct interpretation of "NETWORK OF ORDERS" concept and request you to pl clearfy the same keeping in view the following scenario being followed by us .
We are craeting a Project and in one of  the project wbs activity , we are attaching a FERT item related requirement .  This result into requirement of a FERT against a Project .   The FERT item has a multi level BOM .  MRP run against the project is made using MD51 and this generate various planned orders .  The generated planned order and the project order (the order which resulted into a requirement of a FERT item) are CIF to APO .   These generated planned orders have WBS as account assignment .  In APO , FIX-PEGGING is done for the planned orders .
Now for Backward Scheduling , in SAP_PMAN_003 heuristic execution , we are selecting Planning Object as Operations  and in the Order Number field we are mentioning the Project Order number (Order which resulted into a FERT requirement) .
Can all these planned orders/Project order be considered as Network of Orders as they have FIX-PEGGING defined ?.  Will these Heuristic (even if we give only a single Project Order) , schedule all planned orders (linked with the  Project Order mentioned in Heuristic execution ) ?.
We request you to please guide us on the above query please.
With thanks and Regards
Sonia

  • ERRORS IN WAVE HEURISTIC. PPDS

Hi all, I´m trying to balance resources with Wave heuristic, and I´m getting the following errors.
    I have used PPM
Could anyone try to help me please? thanks in advance:
    Order has incorrect requirements quantity
    Message no. /SAPAPO/OM023
    Diagnosis
A requirements quantity of an order that was to be created is greater than zero.
    System Response
    The order cannot be created.
    Procedure
Receipt quantities and secondary requirements quantities of an order are determined via the explosion of the PPM or runtime object. The indicator IS_INPUT_MODE must be set for secondary requirements quantities and the quantity must be negative. This is not the case here. For products produced in-house, there is an error during maintenance of the PPM or when generating the runtime object. Check your master data and contact your system administrator, if necessary.
    Procedure for System Administration
Check your user exits and contact SAP, if necessary.
the another message is as follows:
Bucket capacity requirement has an invalid value
    Message no. /SAPAPO/OM610
    Diagnosis
You want to create or change an order. A bucket capacity requirement of the order has an invalid value. The following bucket capacity requirements are invalid and lead to errors:
A bucket capacity requirement with the value 0 for a bucket resource
A negative bucket capacity requirement for an SNP activity
A bucket capacity requirement that is not equal to zero for a setup activity
A bucket capacity requirement that is not equal to zero for a resource that is not a bucket resource
A bucket capacity requirement that is not equal to zero if the activity duration is zero
A negative value if the activity duration is different to zero
    System Response
The system cannot create or change the order.
    Procedure
Check the source of supply (for example, the production process model) with which the order is to be created or changed.
If you cannot rectify the problem, contact your system administrator.

  • SNP heuristic error maximum number of orders per period reached

    Hello All,
I am getting one strange error "APO SNP heuristic error maximum number of orders per period reached (000000040)"
Product XXX/ Location XXX: Maximum number of orders per period reached (000000040)
For the problem : PPDS heuristic is working fine, while running the SNP heuristic I am getting this problem.
    Please let me know asap.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Kind Regards,
    Santosh

There is a section in the IMG where you can change this behaviour.
in SPRO - SAP SCM - IMG
    -> Advanced Planning and Optimisation
      -> Supply Chain Planning
        -> Supply Network Planning (SNP)
           -> Basic Settings
              -> Maintain Global SNP Settings
You will see the field "Heu.: Orders per Bkt" which should have the value of 40 in there, e.g. the limit to the number of orders SNP can raise in any planning bucket.
If you raise this number (to say 100) then hopefully your message will no longer be issued by the system.
Alternatively, you can check the cause of why the system is rasing so many orders. For example, check the lot size that the Product has for that location (lot-for-lot will create an order for every demand for example).
    Hopr that helps

  • Error in Heuristic run SNP

    Hello,
In SNP after executing Heuristic run it gives me error message "Invalid product-location combination (peagging Area)".
    (/n/SAPAPO/SNP94)
can any body help me to reslove this issue.
    Thanks,

    Hi Senthil,
I have created pagging area for location product( planning version 000  /n/SAPAPO/RRP_NETCH ).
but i  am not able to assign location product to planning version 000.
It is already assign to Model 000 active model.
I am getting error message "No simulation parameters could be set for the active version".
i am getting error message in Heuristic run because of location product is not assign to active version 000?

  • Heuristics error

    Hi u2013
I am trying to run Heuristics for the chain of 123456. It is obviously a Master Data issue, but I havenu2019t been able to figure it out.
    123456 @ abcd
    123456 @ wxyz --->PPM
    D60188-001 @ wxyz and E18035-001 @ wxyz
    E18035-001 @ wxyzlm01
However, for the level 123456 @ wxyz, I get the following error when I run Location Heuristic. I can manually create a Planned Order and it correctly explodes the PPM and creates the demand for components (D60188-001 and E18035-001).
In other words, for this level (123456 @ wxyz), I get the following error while running Location Heuristics even though I can create Planned Orders manually. I can run the location Heuristic for the level above this as well as below this.
Error : An error has occurred while planning product 123456 (location wxyz) in the SNP heuristic. Possible causes are inconsistencies in the master data or transaction data, or processing errors in the heuristic's flow logic.

    Hi Pooja,
I believe you have maintained E18035-001 at 2 locations @ wxyzlm01 and @ wxyz. When running heuristic it is possibly creating confusion which one to pick...
In PPM for 123456 @ wxyz, did you specifiy which storage location to pick the component E18035-001 from.
You can also run /SAPAPO/OM_SYNC_LC_DB to remove any inconsistency from database and live cache
    Hope it helps.

  • R/3 to APO data transfer

    Hi!
Kindly help me on this one.  I created an integration model for the master data (material, plant, atp) and activated it. i set up the master data change to immediate transfer.  I tested it and it worked.  then i created a IM for the transactional data (stock) and encountered no error in the queue.  Then i simualted a PR to GR to increase the stock, in R/3 automatically stock increased however, in APO no change in stock. another IM for the planned orders, PR and PO (no error). initiated a heuristic, APO created PR's (PR's also can be seen in R/3). converted the PR to PO (reflected both in R/3 and APO).  then transacted GR for the PO (R/3 - PO was deleted and stock increased, in APO - PO still there and stock no increase).  I checked with the basis team, they said RFC's are working well.  I checked the configuration for the CIF, its also ok.  Please help me resolve this.  Reward points will be given accordingly.

    Check these three thigns
    /n/sapapo/CCR
    /n/sapapo/CQ
Check what type of stock has active IM, and what type of stock went in after you created the GR.

  • Product view - Heuristic Error (RRP327 & RRP433)

    Hi,
I have created forcast in DP, transferred the forecast to PPDS and in the product view i am trying to run a heuristic. I get the error message "Order not created for product XXXX location XX".
    Message no. /SAPAPO/RRP327
When I drill down into the log I notice that the error has occured during creation of purchase requisition for a component. The message reads as follows.
"External procurement in planning segment not allowed (Component YYYY)"
    Message no. /SAPAPO/RRP433.
The strategy used for the Finished material is 56 (planning w/o final assembly). But i dont understand why this should prevent the creation of purchase reqsn for the component.
    Thanks,
    Ashok

    Visu,
I have never tried it in APO.  In R/3, you can customize a strategy GROUP so as to contain both an MTS strategy and an MTO strategy.  During Sales order creation, you can then change the requirements type from MTS to MTO (manually).
I always recommend against doing this.  The users end up being so confused that they are not happy with the solution.  MRP results are not always predictable.  Where the users insist that they have to have this flexibility, I recommend that they create a mirror plant, in which one plant has Material Masters categorized as MTO and the second plant has the same materials, but categorized as MTS.  Physically, the plants are the same place.  Warehouse personnel take instructions from planning to periodically move materials from one plant to another when required.  Customer service or planning manually move the sales orders from one plant to the other, depending on what type of product is required.
This scenario could map to SCM, but it would be just as ugly there as it is in R/3.

You need to give us more information:
I suspect your problem is probably related to the JDBC driver you are using:
Are u using a XA compliant JDBC driver on a TX Connection Pool? If you are using
a TX Connection pool, and your JDBC driver isn't XA compliant, do you have the
emulate 2 phase commit option checked in your TX connection pool?

  • Heuristic run error in apo

    Hi expert
When I want to run heuristc for one material, the system show me the error :      Order not created for product XXXXXX
location XXXX.  I  do not know why. Could you guide me ? Thank you .

    Hi Liting Dou,
I guess you are running PP/DS heuristics in Product view. If yes, check these:
    1. After receiving error message, try clicking Log button in the Product view. This will  populate a new screen with details of the Heuristics error.
    2. Check if a valid source of supply exist.
    3. Check if a valid TLane exist between the source and destination.
I guess the Point#1 should give you more details.
    Cheers

  • Error- PPDS Planning board -Heuristic 'Adjust and Reschedule Block Limits'

    Hi,
I have created a sales order in ERP and overload (within tolerance) a block of a block planning enbaled resource in APO. The block is overloaded.
Then I've run the "Heuristic 'Adjust and Reschedule Block Limits'" under Functions-->Heuristics.
Now i expect that the overload disappears. But I get the message "Heuristic 'Adjust and Reschedule Block Limits' - Executed without result".
Could you please suggest why the Heuristics is not working? Has any setting been missed or set wrongly?
    Regards,
    Ashok

    Hi Ashok,
    Please use the following pathway.
    1) Transaction code spro
    2) Click on "SAP Reference IMG"
    3) Menupath:- SAP SCM Implementation guide > Advance planning and optimization >
Supply chain planning > PP/DS > Heuristics > Maintain heuristics > maintain the heuristics SAP_CDPBP_02.  This includes the scheduling horizon and other parameters.
    Please confirm

  • How do I/Do I need to fix "ata#.00 status { DRDY }" error?

I've got an old server that used to be running windows that I have received to set up with linux for myself.  As I was working with it, I remembered that I had an old computer that I was just going to trash/give away anyways, of which many components would be better.  I have since set up a computer that's a mash of components between the two and everything seems to run perfectly except for one problem: I keep getting this error: (Where "#" is either 2, 3, or 4)
    ata#.00: exception Emask 0x50 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x48900 action 0x6 frozen

    ata#.00: status: { DRDY }
This error occurred once for each of the three numbers (which also happens to correspond to the three sata ports my HDs are plugged into): 2 and 3 while I was using dd to zero them (I zeroed all three but 4 didn't give any errors), and 4 just after installing grub onto a mirror raid composing of HDs 2 and 3.
All of the HDs originally used IDE so I used a converted to switch them (Model number CB-IS100)
Additionally, when deconstructing the computers, one of the sata cables tore the first female connector out of the motherboard (hence why they start at 2), but while I know that's not preferable, I don't think it would cause this error.
Finally, this motherboard was in a computer that had, as far as I could tell, a poor power supply that cause it to reboot when using a lot of CPU power.
My question is really this: Will this cause any major problems or can I ignore it?  Also, is there anything I can do to fix it?

As described above, transmission errors can cause wide variety of symptoms ranging from device ICRC error to random device lockup, and, for many cases, there is no way to tell if an error condition is due to transmission error or not; therefore, it's necessary to employ some kind of heuristic when dealing with errors and timeouts. For example, encountering repetitive ABRT errors for known supported command is likely to indicate ATA bus error.
Once it's determined that ATA bus errors have possibly occurred, lowering ATA bus transmission speed is one of actions which may alleviate the problem.
I'd also add; make sure you have good backups when ATA errors are frequent

  • All headphones give distorted, crackly sound. Sometimes no sound. Headphone jack broken? Apple expresslane support giving a "generic error" message whenever I try to send in for service...

As in the title. For a while the headphone jack is occasionally crackly when the jack moves around in the port. It finally died today when I plugged it in and all the audio is heavily distorted and sometimes cuts out completely. Whenever I try to set up a service with Apple I keep getting this error message:
We're sorry, but we are unable to complete your request at this time.
Please try again in a few minutes or start over now.
I can't get through to the Irish support phone number either, it keeps saying number not recognised. Is there any other way I can send my iphone in for service (closest genius bar is 500km away...)

  • Scheduling error in ppds

    Hi,
I got this error "No gap for activity ||| found within the planning horizon" during production planning run.
    Diagnosis
There is not a large enough gap for the activity ||| on the mode
1- in the planning period specified in the time profile.
    System Response
The system does not schedule or reschedule.
What could be the reason for this error ? Kindly help.
I am struck with this. i am not getting this error if i create any order manually in product view. but when i run planning for a particular sale order in variable heuristic i am getting this error. any idea pls help
    regards
    vinay

    Dear all,
I had posted the querry to sap. below is what they are saying*.
I had a look at system APD and started heuristic SAP_PP_002 for one
of the customer segments. As expected the following happened:
    1. As the 'planning direction' in the strategy settings of the heuristic is set to 'Backwards + Revers' and the planned order availability
date should be today (due to the early requirement date) strategy 1
(backwards scheduling) can't be successful and thus leads to an error /SAPAPO/DM_SCHEDFAIL044
    2. Strategy 2 ('revers', i.e. forward scheduling) is successful then and creates a planned order that starts today and ends in the future.
Both steps & messages are displayed in the scheduling log of the
heuristic. Both messages are abolutely correct and are created as
    expected.
All created orders are overlapping. This is correct, as they are
scheduled infinitely according to the heuristic settings.
In order to do a finite scheduling of the created orders a suitable DS
heuristic should be carried out as a subsequent step after the PP
heuristic run (as recommended by SAP).
So altogether your system works absolutely correct and there is no
    indication for a software error.
    SO FRIENDS,
DOES HE MEAN THAT I SHUD NOT RUN VARIABLE HEURISTIC AT ALL. HE MEANS TO SAY THAT I HAVE TO RUN PLANNING IN PLANNING RUN.
pLA GUIDE ME AS TO WHAT I SHUD DO.
    THANKS
    VINAY

  • Error during scheduling while running Run order sequencing in PPR

    Hello Experts,
An error saying 'Error during scheduling' is logged while running Run order sequencing in Production Planning Run and the job is failed.
Checked the capacity of the resource but seems ok.
The below long text is displayed next to the error message.
    Error during scheduling
    Message no. /SAPAPO/OM043
    Diagnosis
The system could not schedule an order, operation or activity.
This could have the following causes:
The resource does not have any free working time or capacity.
If you have set planning direction backwards in the strategy profile:
There is not enough working time or capacity available for scheduling between now and the scheduling date.
If you have set planning direction forwards in the strategy profile:
There is not enough working time or capacity available for scheduling between the scheduling date and the end of the planning area.
    If you plan characteristics-dependently:
You have assigned characteristics to operations of the order that do not agree with characteristics of the resources on which the operations are to be processed.
The system cannot find any suitable characteristics on the resources and so it cannot schedule.
    Procedure
Depending on which of the above reasons is the cause, change the following settings:
Change the working times and capacities of the resources.
Set the planning mode "infinite planning" in the strategy profile.
Activate the planning direction forwards or backwards and reverse in the strategy profile.
Change the characteristics that you have assigned to the resource.
Can anyone let me know what else need to check to avoid the error.

    Dear Maddy,
The function "Reschedule" follows an all-or-nothing logic, which means that either all selected activities on a resource can be re-scheduled or the function (better the liveCache) cancels and no activities will be re-scheduled.
One reason might be that you have a pegging relation to a fixed activity (this might be a sales order, forecast, an activity outside the propagation range...) which cannot be considered during the
scheduling. The liveCache cannot break the pegging, therefore it cancels the scheduling.
Please have a look at the note 510669 which offers a heuristic on the basis of the algorithm /SAPAPO/HEUR_PLAN_SEQ_PACKAGES. This heuristic should solve your problem. It will re-schedule as many activities as possible and will not cancel if one fails.
Depending on your current release there could be also some correction notes like
    1272960
    1027194
I hope I could help you further.
    Regards,
    Tibor
