Hi,
1. Look into the Receiver RFC adapter and check its status.
2. Check the RFC request Message. Is it valid? Try to execute the RFC with the same data and check if it works fine.
Also refer into this blog and cross check the steps,

    Hi Cinna,
    >just now i checked the RFC it is working
    this together with the header "Problem in the scenario SOAP to RFC Syn" is missunderstoobable. But ok, the error is inside RFC adapter: may be it cannot create the DIAG RFC call with the XML what you provided in RTW.
    To be shure to have sent the right XML send a message but use a Message Mapping with RFC module as target.

  • Error occurs in HTTP to RFC

    HI,
    When doing the exercise in TBIT40, I meet with a problem in HTTP to RFC. It always returns me such error msg in the html client: <SAP:Error><SAP:Category>XIAdapterFramework</SAP:Category><SAP:Code>MESSAGE.GENERAL</SAP:Code><SAP:AdditionalText>com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: java.lang.NullPointerException</SAP:AdditionalText></SAP:Error>
    I don't know what's the exact reason for that, however, I am sure the BAPI program is not called. Using SXMB_MONI, we can see the response message  (from Service: HEDCLNT001  Namespace: urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions    Interface: ZBAPI_PO_CREATE) with above error and no XML payload at all. There's no error in the request message. I suspect if the communication channel is not created correctly as the document doesn't give a clear description on creation steps.
    My question:
    1. Is there any method to test if the RFC could be called properly from XI side using the communication channel I created?
    2. What is the possible reason for the error I just met with?  Any available solution?
    Thanks & Best Rgds,
    Jerry

    The error segment in the response message:

    what is this error about ? How to solve this ?
    Thanks, dushanth

    Dear Dushanth ,
    It is very simple ..
    Go to SU01 , Select user XIRWBUSER and assign role SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER.
    Just for your update :
    XIREPUSER->User for the Integration Repository->SAP_XI_IR_SERV_USER
    XIDIRUSER->User for the Integration Directory->SAP_XI_ID_SERV_USER
    XIAPPLUSER->User for sender applications->SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER
    XILDUSER->User for the System Landscape Directory->SAP_BC_AI_LANDSCAPE_DB_RFC
    XIRWBUSER->User for the Runtime Workbench->SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER
    XIISUSER->User for the Integration Server->SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER
    XIAFUSER->User for the Adapter Engine (communication between SLD, Integration Server, and Adapter Framework)

    These errors I am getting..

    Thanks in advance,

    ( I am unable to search SDN ,due to some upgradation is going on )

    Hi Sreeramoju,
    1. HTTP-401 :
            If the Integration Server is accessed by means of an HTTP proxy server,the  credentials must match those that you made in transaction SICF in the Integration Engine. If you do not specify a user and password combination, or the combination is invalid, the system will terminate each attempt to access the Integration Engine with the message Transport Exception:  http-Error 401 – Unauthorized.
    The user must have the authorizations of group SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER on the Integration Server.
    If you want to use a different client or language to the default setting in the Integration Engine when logging on, you can also set the following parameters:
    &#9675;     XI.Client=<client-no>
    &#9675;     XI.Language=<language-id>
    2.HTTP 407: Proxy Authentication Required" in SAP XI J2EE AE: check the SAP note: 992690
        Make sure that you have specified the proper host and port values, in the text box that appears when you check the configure proxy check box(in receiver adapter).
    Looks like the webservice requires a proxy authentication.
    Select the check box "configure proxy user authentication"(in receiver adapter) and provide the correct username and password.
    *Pls: Reward points if helpful*

    Jyoti

    Looks like there is some mapping problems ,may be the RFC connection is not properly configured .Here is the link to configure the connection between ECC and PI :
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/ConnectionSettingsbetweenECCandPIsystem
    May be there is no value retrieved from the ECC system so it is saying null value.
    For proper configuration check you can refer the following blog:
    /people/community.user/blog/2006/12/12/http-to-rfc--a-starter-kit
    I am a beginner so not the full answer is there but may be this would help you.

    How you are testing the interface.........if you are sending the message from HTTP client web page then check the error message in same web page.

  • Response structure empty for HTTP to RFC synchronous scenario

    Hi experts,
    I have a HTTP to RFC synchronous scenario.
    The request is given to Price List ZBAPI.
    The input to the BAPI is date, material no, customer no and condition type.
    The output I am fetcching from access sequence table into the table FINAL  type structure ZFINAL which is
    then sent back to source as a response.
    But the problem is that I get this table as empty although BAPI returns data
    Regards,
    Mozila

    Dear Mozila,
    How did you check that BAPI returns data? Did you use an exact message sent from PI to the receiver business system? If not, I would suggest to take the message which was sent by PI to the receiver business system and use it when performing BAPI test.
    Are table contents received by RFC adapter on PI side (can you see BAPI execution results in message contents for response message received by RFC adapter)?
    Can you see any errors in RFC communication channel?
    Did you check message monitor in Integration Server for the particular message? Are there any errors?
    Please also check your message mapping - this may also cause the error in case RFC adapter receives correct results, but HTT client receives empty table.

  • Transport of HTTP - XI - RFC scenario

    Hi all,
    I have tested a HTTP - XI - RFC scenario on one XI server (say 'source'). Now I wish to transport it to another XI system (say 'target') using CMS and separate SLD's exist for source and target systems.
    For RFC, a technical system (TS) and business system (BS) have been created on source as well as target.
    Now for CMS I need to replicate the TS & BS of target on source, and specify transport target for source BS.
    However the TS is basically an R/3 app server where RFC resides. So at source, when I create the TS corresponding to target, the system gives error that TS with same client already exists. In turn, I am also not able to create target's BS on source.
    Pls suggest a way out...
    Thanks,
    - Shankar.

    Hi Siddarth,
    Well, my development is complete in the sense that I have tested the scenario on source. It is a simple application where I send 2 no.s from HTTP client which through XI, calls an RFC, which in turn returns the sum of the 2 no.s This reply can be seen in HTTP client, thus verifying the process.
    I haven't considered the business service option. I will try out that also...
    R/3 server is same for DEV as well as Test systems.
    Thanks,
    - Shankar.

  • Cannot create HTTP client Exception in Http -- XI -- RFC scenario

    Hi,
    We are testing Http --> XI --> RFC scenario
    While testing this scenario from RWB we are getting following error message in the SXMB_MONI logs:
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    - <!--  Call Adapter

    Following is the info from the Trace:
      <Trace level="1" type="System_Error">cl_http_client exc = argument_not_found</Trace>
    We have tried following things:
    1. In SICF we made sure the /default_host/sap/xi/adapter_plain is active
    2. Applied SAP Note: 716739
    Any response will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Paresh

    Hi UDO,
    Thanks for your reply. The error was gone when I tested again this morning. I am guessing it must be the SAP Note 716739 that we applied and might not have refreshed the cache.
    I am still intereseted in confirming what exacly fixed this issue.
    As per your suggestion, I looked at the left Nav bar and the error was at the "Call Adapter" step. Even in the log message it says the same. The reciever/interface determination and mapping were successfull. I could successfully test the scenario in the integration directory.
    Here is what the 716739 Note said:
    Symptom
    If you call the Integration Server from a sending Integration Engine (proxy), the following error message occurs:
    Category = XIServer
    Area = INTERNAL
    Id = CLIENT_CREATE_FAILED.
    In transaction SXMB_ADM, you used the Configure Integration Engine function to enter a URL of the type http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry instead of a URL of the type dest://<name>.
    Other terms
    SICF, SXMB_MONI, SXMB_ADM, XI
    Reason and Prerequisites
    You have configured the communication route from the sending proxy (Integration Engine) to the Integration Server using the URL of the type
    http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry and have saved the logon data on the Integration Server in the Service
    /sap/xi/engine (transaction SICF).
    A program error has occurred: the communication log is not correctly set when the HTTP client is set up.
    Solution
    The problem is eliminated with SAP_BASIS Support Package 2. To eliminate the problem, you can use an URL of the type dest://<name>, where <name>  refers to the name of a HTTP destination that you have maintained with transaction SM59.
    Now, I was not using the proxies but Http post to XI. Do you guys also think this might have fixed my issue?
    Thanks,
    Paresh
