Error in Scheduling INIT Info package

Hi All,
We have a standard extractor in CRM which we have replicated to our BW system. We also had transfer rules ready as a part of the BI content, but were present as 3.x data flows. So, we migrated the 3.x data flow to 7 successfully and finally created an INIT info package since the data source was meant for delta extraction. Now, when i schedule my INIT info package, i get an error saying that "Job was terminated in the source system". I also traced this issue in the source system and i found that there was a run time error which says
Runtime error - OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO
"An exception occurred that is explained in detail below. The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was not caught in procedure "CRM_BW_CMG_LINKS_INIT" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Either the reference was never set or it was set to 'NULL' using the CLEAR statement."
Can anybody help me out with this? What shud i do now?

Thanks for the useful pointer. Can u throw some more light on this? What exactly does it mean when you say, "Replication of the connection object"? Does it refer to the replication of the Data source or is it something else?

Information broadcaster :
      you can precalculate and distribute(thru mail) the query, workbook and webtemplate through online link or html file to the receipents (users).

Infopackage scheduling:
     you can schedule the infopackage daily at your desired time .In the schedule tab ,select the start later in background and in the scheduling option give the date and time and give the period values as daily.

Dump Error while Creating the Info Package

Hi,
I have created Customized ODS and used Generic data sources.I have loaded full Upload to ODS. Created Info Packages for Init delta and Delta for delta loading. I have ran Full Upload and while I am trying to run Init, I am getting the error.
While I am trying to open the Info Package, I am getting Dump error message.
Dump error Message :
What happened?
    The current application program detected a situation which really
    should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was
    triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).
While i am trying to Create New Info Package, the systems gives the Dump on the System
Please help on this issue.

Hi,
Actually, when we want to have delta loads in future, then we can just have one infopackage with init delta infopackage, so that when it runs for the first time, it pulls all the records and from next time onwards it will pull the delta records only.
But as you have done the full load with infopackage, now just create a delta infopackage, no need of init delta infopackage, this is the reason, its giving dump.

How to Schedule the info package groups?

You can execute at Group level.
Plz find teh steps for creation and sheduling of IP Group,
1. GO to Adminsitrator workbench RSA1 > Infosources
2. Create your infopackage do not select option but select data load
immediately get out of infopackage prior to going to step 3
3. Click on icon show infopackage groups
(icons are update tree, monitor, display node log, search in subtree,
legend, and show infopackage groups)
4. This will create another window. Now you can create your infopackage
groups. Right Click on folder (infopackage group)
enter long description name, go back to your infopackage and pull it
to the infopackage group
(it's a drag and drop to long description name you just created and
remember it will be on the bottom of the list most likely)
5. Click on infopackage group and its time to select which on to run
first and time your going to schedule it.
INFOPACKAGE
a. Execute package should have a check mark without it itwon't run.
b. Start Sequence (depends on which one you want to run
first for my example its) 1
c. Selection exists (is created when you pull youinfopackage to group)
d. Maintain infopackage is a pencil and will take you therefrom hereInfopackage is your name from the infopackage you pulledover
e. Data type (is created when you pull your infopackage togroup)
Check whether contents was updated without errors beforeyou start next request
(I highly recommend you check this because if will stopyour process if a infopackage fails)
f. Delay until the start of the next request (not necessaryto check)
g. Technical name
Schedule
Selection Options: Immediate (now)Date time (preselected time) if youcheck period and period valueshere it can be run eachday or specific dayAfter job
After event At operation mode

Hi Yokesh,
Try these to solve your issue,
tRFC Error - status running Yellow for long time (Transact RFC will be enabled in Status tab in RSMO).
Step 1: Goto Details, Status get the IDoc number,and go to BD87 in R/3,place the cursor in the RED IDoc entroes in tRFC
queue thats under outbound processing and click on display the IDOC which is on the menu bar.
Step 2: In the next screen click on Display tRFC calls (will take you to SM58 particular TRFC call)
place the cursor on the particular Transaction ID and go to EDIT in the menu bar --> press 'Execute LUW'
(Display tRFC calls (will take you to SM58 particular TRFC call) ---> select the TrasnID ---> EDIT ---> Execute LUW)
Rather than going to SM58 and executing LUW directly it is safer to go through BD87 giving the IDOC name as it will take you
to the particular TRFC request for that Idoc.
OR
Go into the JOB Overview of the Load there you should be able to find the Data Package ID.
(For this in RSMO Screen> Environment> there is a option for Job overview.)
This Data Package TID is Transaction ID in SM58.
OR
SM58 > Give * / user name or background (Aleremote) user name and execute.It will show you all the pending TRFC with
Transaction ID.
In the Status Text column you can see two status
Transation Recorded and Transaction Executing
Don't disturb, if the status is second one Transaction Executing. If the status is first one (Transation Recorded) manually
execute the "Execute LUWs"
OR
Directly go to SM58 > Give * / user name or background (Aleremote) user name and execute. It will show TRFCs to be executed
for that user. Find the particular TRFC (SM37 > Req name > TID from data packet with sysfail).select the TrasnID (SM58) --->
EDIT ---> Execute LUW
OR
In RSMO, select the particular load you want to monitor.
In the menu bar, Environment >>> Transact. RFC >>> Select whichever is required, BW or Source System.
In the next screen you can select the Execute button and the IDOCS will be displayed.

Scheduling from info package

Hi,
I want to scheule a load at later time today from the infopackage.I created one info package with background job,in the scheduling options I have given date and time.I would like to confirm whether it works?

After specifying the scheduling option, did you execute(pressed 'start') it, or just saved it?
If you pressed 'start', it will run it at the specified time. To check this, you can see a job in 'released' status with that start time, you can see that in SM37.

import a 2008R format package onto a 2005 server. You cant do that.

Hi,
You are correct there is no setup table concept in HR extractors.
But there is a cache. Usually HR extractions will be full load. But it also supports delta. There is no setup table concept in HR.Once you perform your init (with or without Data transfer your delta path is set and delta will follow else can go for Full loads alone. It will extract data from the relevant tables like generic extractors. The data will be filtered based on the selection parameters.
Except for payroll and time management rest all sub-functional areas supports only full load.
In case of full loads, old data needs to be deleted to avoid duplicated records in the target.

Delta Update
This DataSource supports delta updates. The source system fills table HRMS_BIW_PPDELTA with the date and time of the first data transfer (initialization) and the date and time of all subsequent data transfers. This information enables the system to perform a delta transfer. It only selects posting runs with the above statuses whose last changed on date is after the date in table HRMS_BIW_PPDELTA.
If you use DataSources 0HR_PY_PP_2 (Posting Documents) and 0HR_PY_PP_1 (Auditing Information), you must transfer data to BW from both DataSources using the same selection criteria.

HR is basically master data centric because it is always related to people related Info Objects, such as Employee, Person. In most of the cases HR master data is defined as Time Dependent to enable historical evaluation. HR R/3 system records a specific period of validity for each Info type.
Procedure to extract the HR data:
Activate Data Sources in the Source system (R/3)
Replicate Data Sources in BW system:
Activate business contents in BW.
Populate HR cubes with data by scheduling info packages.
Note: Master Data should be loaded first

Schedule Info package in background

Hi,
When I schedule my info package in background mode, it should schedule the job with my BW back ground user .
BW user is the back ground user in mysystem. But my Process Overview shows that it is scheduled as Dialogue there by utiling my dialogue processers.
Kindly let me know the reason behind it.

Ok, for bi7, this is the way it works...
when you run an IP in background it will execute a dialog process on the BW side. this process is needed to execute (send the outbound messages) the background job on the R/3 part (with the BW remote user)... in prior releases a background job was also running on the BW side as long as the R/3 load was running, but with the bi7 adaptations it takes less place on bw side, hence performance has improved...

Selection Conditions on Info Package

Please advise me on how to proceed
My requirment is to include selection condition in INFOPACKAGE as the total data that data source is extracting is nearly 200 million records to minimize the extraction of data to be loaded to DSo...my requirment is include selection conditions at infopackage level
Condition 1: On Fiscal Year/Period
To load data from 2005 to current....
Condition 2: to exclude particula Cost Center
and data source is delta capable
Please update me how to include these selection conditions do i need to write any ABAP Code and

IP4: 002.2007 to 005.2007
IP5: 006.2007 to 009.2007
IP6: 010.2007 to 001.2008
IP7: 002.2008 to 005.2008
IP8: 006.2008 to 010.2008
IP9: 011.2008 to 002.2009
How about delta....what are the selection conditions i need to use
and
Can i execute the above packages one after another...that is after completion of IP1 then IP2..then IP3

Error when trying to execute a Info Package

When i am trying to start a data load in my info package its giving a Message Type X error (short dump) of class RSM1. Its happening with all the info packages for that data source. Even when i just try to save the info package or enter a data selection condition and save it its triggering the same error.
Can someone explain the reason for the error and the possible diagnosis.

Hi Priya,
1.The entries for the initialization in the BW system are contained in the RSSDLINIT table for the DataSource/source system combination. Compare these with the entries in the ROOSPRMSC table in the OLTP system.
2. If there are NO entries in the RSSDLINIT table in BW, use transaction RSA7 to delete the delta queue for this DataSource/BW application combination in the source system (OLTP).
3.Once you deleted all the entries,In Infopackage scheduler option,delete all the init selections to proceed further.
In which system u r going to do this.....Quality or production.(Better,you check with basis to delete the entries.)
