Error in sending MMS

Dear all,
I need your help & expertise. I am using Nokia N97. My problem is I can't send MMS (photos) from my downloaded photos..and error come up. "Error: Packet data connection not available."
Is it we only can send the photos from captured photos?? Correct me if i am wrong. Even I try to use the downloaded photos to my contact also can not.

Well I don't quite get what you are saying Allan as I get a message when someone sends me a MMS from them saying to go to "viewmymessage.com to view that message".
When someone sends you an MMS, the MMS needs to be addressed to an email address for an email account that you access with the iPhone's mail client. The sender of the MMS will enter your email address for this email account in the To: field for the MMS instead of your cell phone number with area code. The MMS will be received by you as an email with the photo as an email attachment.
The sender can't use this email address - ***********@mms.att.net), which includes your cell phone number with area code because the iPhone does not include an MMS client. Do you access this email address as an email account with the iPhone's mail client? No, but you do access an email account with the iPhone's mail client. The sender needs to address the MMS to an email address for an email account that you access with the iPhone's mail client.

  • Problem sending MMS/Picture messages

Wondering if anyone else is having this problem:
I'm finding that if i try to send someone a picture message along with a typed message, as soon as i hit send i get a little message saying its converting and then it just stays stuck on "sending". It never actually sends the message.
I realized this two days later when a friend said they had not received my text. I resent the picture without a typed message and then they suddenly received BOTH pictures (the original with the message and the new one).
Sounds like a weird software to me? Any thoughts?

Thank you everyone for reporting this issue. I can understand that it would be frustrating to have to try multiple times to send the same message. I have a Nexus myself and tried with a few other Nexus' here and was not able to duplicate the issue. Since there are multiple people having this issue, I will escalate this issue to our product team to further investigate this issue. I will need more details to troubleshoot. Do you notice this only happening in a certain location? Does it happen when picking up 3G, 4G or both? Do you get an error message or what exactly happens when trying to send MMS? Does this happen only when the signal is low, or with full signal?
Also, try removing the battery and SIM card for about 30 seconds. Toggle airplane mode and network mode for a few seconds, then retest.

  • Updated to 3.0, Won't send MMS messages?

I recently updated my iPhone to the 3.0 software and under my ROGERS iPhone value pack it tells me i get unlimited MMS messages but right now I am unable to send MMS messages. My phone tells me that it has sent them but 3 of my friends who all have iPhones with the 3.0 software are not recieving them, and they are getting error messages when they try to send them.
    Help please?

You have to specify an mms apn under 'Cellular Data Network' in Settings, General, Network - you might also have to specify the mms proxy and mmsc, which you'll have to contact your provider to get. Alternately I believe it's possible to find the information for MMS setup with Rogers on the internet, just google it(tm).
I should mention though that I believe I've found a bug (detailed in another of my posts, see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2047179) which renders internet tethering unavailable if mms apn isn't the same as cellular data apn.

  • Constant issues sending MMS.

My iphone 4 keeps having issues sending MMS. It'll try, the progress bar will get to where it's almost done, and just sits there for minutes at a time, sometimes even longer till it just fails. Sometimes the other person will get it most of the time not. I've had to have my iphone 4 replaced before for a different recurring issue, but both models did this. Before and after the iOS 5 update. I have MMS on, have 3-4 bars on 3g at all times. Verizon even says I'm in a good coverage area. Before my iphone when I had a droid, I never had this issue. None of the troubleshooting Verizon does helps at all. Sometimes I end up on the line with someone who doesn't even know what they're talking about when it comes to the iphone 4. So as far as help from my carrier, i'm screwed there. Anyone else have some advice or tips? I've had an iphone 4 since May and it's always done this even after replacing and updating.

Good morning and happy Saturday Sheri914,
If there is anything that I can empathize with, it's not being able to send and receive text messages. Texting is my favorite form of communication and I know how important it is in today's wireless world. You have my commitment to getting this frustrating issue resolved for you. May I ask have your tried the wonderful steps that twistdshade & brwnzeni provided. If you are getting a specific error message then please share so I can look it up for you. also, try erasing your old threaded text messages, reboot, and retest. Let me know the results just in case more assistance is needed.
    Thank you...

  • Can't send MMS on O2, 4.2.1 - iPhone 4

I am having problems with my iPhone 4 not being able to send MMS, on contract with O2. It is only less than 2 months old.
The guys at O2 have no idea why this is happening as all my settings are correct, even the Apple tech guys are at a loss... could this be a bug in the update? Or something to do with the O2 carrier settings?
Any help would be much appreciated
    J.

I updated my iPhone 3GS to 4.2 last night. This morning, I couldn't select MMS from the photo library or go into my texts and select the camera icon. After doing a few quick searches all I found were posts like these.
Oddly enough, I don't have an MMS option in my messaging settings...it seems preposterous Apple would turn off MMS or make such a weird error in an OS update...and then I thought, duh, restart your phone. I always forget to do that when updating my iPhone.
So, just restart the phone. All the normal MMS options showed up. Hope it works and you all aren't experiencing some other issue.

  • Galaxy Note 3 can't send MMS messages

I can recieve MMS from others, seemingly regardless of carrier. However, I keep getting send failure or a never-ending 'sending' indication whenever I try to send picture messages or messages in group text conversations.
    Things I've tried:
    - Restarting, taking out battery and waiting before rebooting again
    - Attempting to send MMS to myself only to get the same error
    - Researched and changed APN settings to those suggested on various Verizon forums or listed default APN settings in texting apps.
    - Tried with WI-FI on or off, turned off mobile data, waited, turned it back on again and then try.
    All to no avail.
Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

        Soulphagist10,
Let's get your messages flowing again. Are you using the native application or a third party application? Is it one specific contact or all? Please reset the application http://vz.to/1r0w97d and try again.

  • IPhone 4s wont send mms

I bought my iPhone 4s in October and since then have never been able to send MMS messages.
I have spoken to my carrier O2 and all the settings they tell me I'm supposed to have, I already had and apparently my account IS activated to send them. Went to Apple store about a separate issue with an ipod and they said I should try a restore in case there was an error in the upload of the software. Just tried that to no avail. Really don't know what to try now SOOOO frustrating.
Anyone else had this problem and managed to resolve it?

I have the same prob, was told cud get a app to retify this..... aint found it yet (guy from o2 told me bout app) but coulnt tell me name as not o2 product..... seems 2 b a apple prob.....

cant send mms using lumia 630...why is that coz my mms setting are set

    Hi spectatiouz,
We're here to help. Are you only having issue sending an MMS? How about when receiving? Do you have an active MMS service from your network operator? Are you getting any error message when trying to send an MMS?
Aside from the recommendations given by @farby, you can try the workaround given below:
    • FAQ - I cannot send or receive multimedia messages on my Lumia phone
Note: The link is intended for the UK. You can check your local Nokia support page for future reference. See: Local support.
We look forward to your reply and thank you for joining the forum.

I cannot send MMS from an iphone 5 - some people it works others do not receive it.   MMS is turned on and i have tried to reset phone etc - still same problem.

    Are the messages successfully sent?
If so, what happens to a message after it is successfully sent has nothing to do with the cell phone that sent the message.

  • Error on sending email: this._attachmentWidgets

Error on sending mail. Under Opera 12.12 and Windows 7, whenever I send a message through Verizon's web email, I get the message "Cannot convert 'this._attachmentWidgets to object"
I get this message with or without attachments on the email.

I have the same problem with Opera 12.15
All the Opera 12.xx versions are similar.
    After my email is sent.
    A Verizon java pop-up displays:
    Cannot convert 'this._attachmentWidgets' to object
But the email is sent and I have tried stripping some of the codes.
Looks like VZ does not like Opera

i have a problem with mms in my iPhone 5s when m trying to send MMS then a message appears on the screen 'cannot send messageMMS Messaging needs to be enabled to send this message' but in settings there is no setting available to inable MMS in message settings

Had the same problem. Have you checked your Cellular Data Network MMS fields? You should write there your MMS settings (APN, username, password, mmsc, mms proxy and mms max message size). You can get the data from your carrier. After that you could need to restart iPhone.  Worked for me.

  • "An error occurred sending the command to the application" When trying to open excel document from outlook 2007

Error message "An error occurred sending the command to the application" When trying to open excel document from outlook 2007.
    OS: Windows Server 2008 R2
If I save the document then it opens fine, messing with default file associations does not resolve this problem, I've googled for ir it and some suggest unticking compatibility mode or "run as admin" for excel application, neither is selected in my case.
Outlook is configured to run as remote application from remoteApp server, this error is only occurring for one user, for others excel documents open just fine.

    Hi
    Thank you for using
Microsoft Office for IT Professionals Forums.
From your description, we can Create a trusted location follow these steps
Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Excel Options.
Click Trust Center, click Trust Center Settings, and then click
    Trusted Locations.
If you want to create a trusted location that is not local to your computer, select the Allow trusted locations on my network (not recommended) check
    box.
    Click Add new location.
IMPORTANT   We recommended that you don't make your entire
Documents or My Documents folder a trusted location. Doing so creates a larger target for a hacker to potentially exploit and increases your security risk. Create a subfolder within Documents or My Documents, and make only that folder a trusted location.
In the Path box, type the name of the folder that you want to use as a trusted location, or click Browse to
    locate the folder.
If you want to include subfolders as trusted locations, select the
Subfolders of this location are also trusted check box.
In the Description box, type what you want to describe the purpose of the trusted location.
    Click OK.
