Error in setting a NULL !
I am trying to set a NULL in a int column. The column allows nulls and has a foreign key.
I tried cs.setNull(16,Types.INTEGER), still get this error:
[IBM][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]UPDATE statement conflicted with COLUMN FOREIGN KEY constraint.
I get another error from Websphere :
Shareable connection MCWrapper id 2c3c42f1 Managed connection com.ibm.ws.rsadapter.spi.WSRdbManagedConnectionImpl@2bc0c2f1 State:STATE_TRAN_WRAPPER_INUSE from resource jdbc/ds was used within a local transaction containment boundary.
Any ideeas on how I can get around the foreign key constraint an set a NULL??

I was too close to the monitor, couldn't see the big picture ! :-) Now it works.
Although, I still get that Websphere error:

OIA report error - Compiler set to null error
When i try to run a custom report in OIA 11g ,i`m getting an error Something like Compiler set to null.
Found the issue - This could be a bug since i'm able to reproduce it in other forms of my app.
(1) Create tabular form with type "Simple Checkbox"
(2) Use authorization scheme on the checkbox column
(3) Login with user account for which this column won't be visible.
You get this error-

Getting error while setting up Apps Server VM
Hi All,
I'm getting couple of errors while setting up the apps VM. I was following the instructions at the link given below, but Im not getting any support from there so thought of posting here...

I have a spreadsheet which I designed in Numbers from iWork 8. I recently upgraded to iWork 9.
I have cells that were set to null ("") with an if statement, and then reference them in later formulas. In iWork 8 everything works fine, but in iWork 9 I get errors saying...
'The operator "+" expects a number, date, or duration but found "."'
I can't find any way around this, any help?Larry,
It's difficult to make a specific recommendation without knowing more about your table. A general workaround would be to use SUM() since SUM is tolerant of the inclusion of strings, blanks, etc.

Web-UI error message "Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible"
I need some help, I'm not a Basis person but I need to get this connection problem resolve.
This problem is in our DEV ICWeb system. After logging in to Web-UI, I got a error message "Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible". We have 3 clients (100, 220, & 310) in DEV and all 3 clients are giving me the same error message.

but in the document it asked to go to SM59 to check the ESH_APPL_WS_TEMPLATEENGINE destination. But we don't have that destination setup in all our systems.

AnandI had a similar issue, but it was after my application was automatically converted by JDEV from 1.1.1.3.
Perhaps others have determined how to fix the application and projects after the conversion, but I recreated everything in 1.1.14 and this seems to work. -
Error in setting SecureRMIClientSocketFactory.
I am working on an application from a vendor that requires me to use JRE version 1.5.0_14 on my client PC with MS IE 7.0. I have this application configured to use SSL for HTTPS per the procedure the vendor requires on their server. When I attempt to launch their application using HTTPs, then it launches JRE. I get the login window then it tries to connect to the Java application then I get the error "RMI connection unavailable between client and serer possibly due to port 1099 conflict". I have made sure all firewalls that we have are ok for ports 1098 and 1099 for RMI.
I get the following from the Java console output when I try to get in via HTTPS:
Error in setting SecureRMIClientSocketFactory.
java.net.SocketException: factory already defined
at java.rmi.server.RMISocketFactory.setSocketFactory(Unknown Source)
at com.acme.launcher.AcmeCustomClientFrame$3.run(AcmeCustomClientFrame.java:469)
The interesting thing is that when I configure the server to use HTTP I have no issues with JRE and RMI. I cannot find anything on the web that tells me anything about the SecureRMIClientSocketFactory and the factory already being defined.
Can anybody please help me on what the issue may be here ?

Error in setting Pricelist/Currency code
I'm using Siebel Self-Services 8.1.1 and I always get the following error every for new session of the application:
"Error in setting Pricelist/Currency code. Please contact System Administator".
Anyone having an idea how to solve it?

Check the web service request and response in log immediately when you get this error.I think some setting at Siebel side needs to be done.

On installing Oracle 9.2 on RedHat Linux release 4, I encounterd the
following error:
Error in setting permissions on file/directory
$ORACLE_BASE/jre/1.1.8/LICENSE
This error is encountered at the inital stage of installation after inputing all the
required settings in the OUI. and at the Installing Java Runtinme Environment 1.1.8.1.0
Could someone tell me why it happened and how to fix it? Your help is
much appreciated.
There was a post on this topic only in here and said to change the permissions of the
ORACLE_BASE .......... I have tried out all these and all the permissions and the environment settings are correct but i'm not able to proceed with the installation even after a lot of trying.

I am running RedHat 9 and obviously installing 9.2.0.
Any ideas on why I might be getting this. I have set permissions for the oracle user for this directory.

I am having problems with iTunes 8.2.1.6 on my Vista PC. I am getting the following two errors whenver I try to sync my iphone 3Gs:
(1) 16bit MSDOS subsystem: c:\program files\common files\apple\mobile device support\bin\applemobiledevicehelper.exe - Error while setting up environment for the application. Choose 'close' to terminate the application. This error message continues to show up even when I hit 'close'.
(2) iTunes was unable to load dataclass information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try later.
I have tried running both iTunes and applemobiledevicehelper.exe in administrator mode and that does not help. I have also tried reinstalling iTunes.

To address your scenario, while creating the configuration, select all the required agreements to create one configuration and then deploy.
Alternatively, you can also apply the latest patch MLR (10.1.2.3)

When I try to excute an external exe, why am I getting this error? and is there a way of getting this exe to execute properly without the error?
