Error in setting up message control in WE21...

Hello Experts,
I am currently setting up the partner profiles of my new IDoc in
transaction WE21(Partner profiles). Under the message control tab, I
chose 'EF' under 'Application', 'NEU' under "Message type' and entered
my process code under the 'Process code' column. But an error is bening generated
saying that the 'Parameters for message control already used'.
So how do I create a unique message type for my process code/IDoc? My Idoc is for
purchase orders and will be trigerred upon release of PO.

Message type NEU is already being used in the standard system. You have to create a message type of your own (use transaction NACE to do so).

we have to activate certain setting in MM.
Step - 1
SPRO - MM - Logistic Invoice Verification - Incoming Invoice - Set Check for Duplicate Invoices - Activate Check box for reference field.
Step - 2
In Vendor Master XK02/FK02 goto Payment Transaction & click on check box - Check double Inv
Step - 3
There is also a Std Report for checking the invoices for which same reference feild was given

Error occured in accounting message - Controlling cockpit

Hi All,
I have an item / Cproject and a project in PS linked to it. After the role requirement is done, system gives following messages in the PPM system.
Error occurred in accounting - check the costing in the ERP system Display Help
Maintain an activity type for cost/revenue rate R1
Maintain an activity type for cost/revenue rate ZB_ENG_S_TCAS
For last 2 messages I know that the activity type assignment to cost/revenue rate is needed. But for first message when I go to correct the entry in controlling cockpit it gives a message - Enter a valid value for the settlement type.
The settlement rule was created for PS project with settlement type FUL. Still this message is not getting cleared from the RPM system and from the controlling cockpit even after precessing it.
Can any one please let me know what can be done to solve this?

Hi Yemi,
Controlling cockpit is accessed to view the error details in the accounting integration. This can be accessed through two ways.
1) In Project-->Accounting tab
2) Through tcode - COCPCPR
You can try the second method to view the error details.
And coming back to your query on project profile config in PS, as Pramod said, by standard SAP delivers a standard profile in SAP PS for cProjects-->PS integration. You can find the same in the below SPRO path.
Project System-->Structures-->Operative structure-->Work Breakdown structure(WBS)-->Create Project profile
Project profile name : CPR0001
This project profile is used when an automatic PS project is created through accounting integration.

Can please help me I got an issue in QM ,
Issue Description :- Current QM control key for supplier validation date is “0001”, the message mode is only warning. PR or PO still can be created forcibly. Need create a new control key, which message control is “error mode”, then PR or PO cannot be created successfully.
I thing should add some additional logic using BADI or USER-EXIT.
can please help me how to find BADI or USER-EXIT if you know the appropriate BADI please let me know.

Troubleshoot-Adapter engine:Error Setting the message status to DLNG failed

Dear Experts,
We use SAP RFC- PI-JDBC(MSSQL). here the Data(message) successfully transfered to mssql table but the status is been set to DLNG failed, And it finally shown as SYSTEM ERROR.
QoS required: ExactlyOnce , here The Message has got inserted in that particular table and in PI adapter the status turned to DLNG faild and the service again tries to send the same message which is not possible becoz the data is set for primary value.

See above error, It cannot the Duplicate Key in your log table. Duplicate means repeated as a same data.So kindly check once your data.
IF,I assume your scenario is Synchronous, If you are using any sender JDBC adapter just check with your Quality of Service and set it to "Exactly once".

Set vacation message error

I am unable to set the vacation message in uwc with the following error:
An error occurred while updating mail preferences
This function works before, older user still be able to set vacation message with no problem.

Are you able to update the vacation message for the problem user using the Messenger Express interface instead - this will help to isolate the potential cause?
-Can't access messenger express interface
Do you see an errors in the webserver error logs when you attempt to save the preference, or if you have UWC logging enabled, in the uwc.log file?
-There is no error messages in webserver error log, in uwc.log there are some messages but I do not think it helps.

Output type not proposed in Message Control when PO is created

DETAILS
I have set up the system to send a IDOC when a PO is created. I have done the following settings in the system to send the IDOC using the message control functionality in the PO creation screen.
1). Created a new output type ZNEU which is an exact copy of NEU output type provided by the SAP system.
2). Assigned the new output type to the output determination procedure.
3). Enabled the new output type ZNEU for ALE distribution.
4). Maintained the condition records in the system for the output type ZNEU such that for the P org, endor and Docmuent type combination the output shall be proposed.
5). Maintained a partner profile( Logical System ) and assigned the output type ZNEU to this partner profile.
6). Created a Distribution model for Sender ~ Receiver for ORDERS message type.
PROBLEM
When i create a PO the new output type is not getting proposed by the system. I am not sure why it is not getting porposed in the message control.
I tried to manually enter the ZNEU output type in the system to see if the system is accepting. I am getting an error
Partner % does not exist for partner function LS
Any idea what i am missing? Am i missing any configuration or am i doing something wrong?

The output is not being proposed automatically is becuase you are missing "Condition Records" for the output type ZNEU.
Go to NACE.
Select EF - Purchase Order
Select "Condition Records"
Select ZNEU and select condition records
Now, system will bring the combinations of access sequence. Maintain appopriate record.
This will enable you to get the output type automatically in the purchase order.

ABAP Trial Version SP12:Error while setting up transport environment

I have successfully installed ABAP trial SP12 on my notebook(XP) and have been able to create some objects.

Now, I'm trying to set up the transport environment as per the blog but face the following error when I execute the step 'Distribute and Activate TMS Configuration'
Appreciate any help in solving the issue. I'm detailing below the error and the checks I had done.

(a) The permissions for folder SAP in the local directory were done as instructed in the blog.
(b) the directory path /SAP/trans/bin had the following files:
*TP_DOMAIN_NSP.PFL* : the last modified date changes every time I execute 'Distribute and Activate TMS Configuration'.
*DOMAIN* :The last modified date is in the past. It does not change.
Please inform how do I set up transport.

I did as you suggested by inserting the mapping of ip and host in the hosts file.
and restarted the server,but I still get the same error "could not start transport control program tp".
Any other step that I'm missing.

Message Control in ECC6 from PM Confirmation after CNF & TECO ?

All,
In 4.6C we had an error message when trying to post further confirmations against a mainteance order with status final confirmation (CNF).
Following the upgrade to ECC6 this has become a warning message. I've been unable to find the message control option in customizing to change this back to an error.
Ideally we'd like to stop technician posting hours against orders tagged with either CNF or TECO.

The warning here comes from status control. This can be checked via BS23 as follows:
Position cusrson on system status I0009 / CNF, then double click. The business transactions relevant to this function are displayed. In this case the ones to check are:
RMRU / Confirm order
RMVR / Confirm operation
As delivered both of these are set to 'warning'. I expect you may find that 4.6c values have been changed to 'disallowed'.
The settings here would affect PM/CS orders, PS networks and PP orders.
It is not advised to change these SAP delivered settings.

You can change it via OBA5 transaction. Enter application area KI, and set 'W' flag for 281 error message.

We need to add one column in the self service Manager > My Employee Information > Salary history table
- This column does not exist in the standard view Object
oracle.apps.per.selfservice.mgrviews.server.SalaryDetailsVO
- With Jdeveloper we have created a new view that extend the standard view :
cggv.oracle.apps.per.selfservice.mgrviews.server.CGGVSalaryDetailsVO
- We used the substitution tools to substitute the standard view by the new one
with the following column :

It seems there is a probleme when extending ViewObject and adding column to table that contains a Show/Hide Detail column.
Do we need extend also the controler ?

Is the new column you have added part of the show/hide detail? If not, is the correct getting displayed?
Is show/hide also handled through the attribute of substituted VO?

Crystal Report/STRUTS: Error (404) when clicking on Control Buttons (Print, Export, Next, Previous, etc...) on report viewer

Need help badly!!!
We are using the crystal reports plugin for STRUTS.
We are able to display the report in the crystal report viewer. However, when we click any control buttons (print, export, etc...), then we get:
JSPG0036E: Failed to find resource /Report-viewer.jsp
We then moved Report-viewer.jsp to the WebContents folder (root directory) and got a different error when we clicked any control button:
Error: 400 page not found
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? For instance, is there a setting or parameter that needs to be set?

Whenever we print the viewer does an auto postback, I believe due to this some of the values are getting missed. Moreover we are referring to the viewer and reportdocument object, it seems. So can you try this simple code in an application to see if it helps:
ReportDocument rdoc = new ReportDocument();
rdoc.Load("C:\TASKECrystalReports\Intraday.rpt");
rdoc.SetDatabaseLogon("uid","pwd");
rdoc.SetParameterValues("parameter name","value");
CrystalReportViewer.ReportSource = rdoc;

Error while installing OEM Grid Control

I am getting error while installing OEM Grid control (with existing database) at OMS Configuration. So, I cancelled the installation and deleted all databases and started the instal again. I am still getting an error at OMS configuration.
I am trying to read through the threads here to see if anyone has solved it. I see a lot of threads on this topic but not sure how you guys resolved it.
Can anyone help here.
In the oracle installer, I see the message : The c:\oraclehomes\agent10g\cfgtoollogs\configToolfailedCommands" script contains all commans that failed, were skipped or cancelled ....
--in this file, all I see is:

Thank you very much for the reply. You are correct, but I checked the SICF set up was ok. Currently we are not using the workflow. Recruiter's role assignment was also proper.
This problem was related to business partner number range assignment for internal/external candidates, since it was not creating new business partner. It is ok now.
