Error in settlement

Hi Experts,
our user has wrongly posted to GL account which is not assigned in the allocation structure, now they have realized in the next period and reversed the document in that period.
Ex : doc posted in Period 10 and reversed in period 11.
But when they are trying to do settlement for period 10 they are encountering the error message to assign the cost element in allocation stucture, Now how can we reclass the posting in period 10 to perform settlement.

    I dont want to maintain the settlement rule for a higher level WBS. How can i configure this in such a way that i dont get the following error:" Maintain settlement rule of the sender" while doing CJ88. Maintaing a separate Settlement profile for a higher level WBS is an option but we are looking if something else could be done The problem is that there are no actuals booked against, say, level 2 WBS but when i execute CJ88, i get the aforesaid error. How can i ensure that only the lowest level WBS ask for the settlement rule and not the levels above it. I have already removed the Investment profile from the higher level WBS but still getting the same error.

    Hi,
    It is a type Capex WBS and Biling element is not checked. In fact i get a warning while doing the settlement: WBS is neither a billing element nor an account assignment element.
    Diagnosis
    WBS element  is not indicated as either an account assignment element or as a billing element in the master record.
    System Response
    The WBS element cannot be assigned to an account.
    Procedure
    Correct your entries or add the missing indicator to the master record for the WBS element.
    But this is just a warning. On pressing enter i get the error :Maintain settlement rule of the sender "

    We are geting error  following error when settleing the production order  " For material xxxxx valuation type 01 does not exist for plant xxxx "  wat could be the problem . Is it due to any split valueation activation problem .

    Check in MM60, the valuation type maintained for material/ plant combination, if it doesnet exists then create the material type with 01 valuation type in plant.
    Also check in OMWC, valuation category and valuation types are correctly assigned to plant.

  • KO88 - Error when settling for Cost Center AND Auc for the same Internal Or

    Hi Experts,
    We need to configure Investment Internal Orders that could settle to both Cost Center and Auc, but each assignments with different Source Cost Elements
    We did the following:
    1. Created Auc Class
    2. Created Investment Profile "IMOBIL" and assigned to Auc Class, flagging Auc
    3. Created Allocation Structure "CV" with two assignments:
    01, Source = Cost elements 7000000000 to 7999999999, receiver AUC "by cost element"
    02 Source = Cost elements 4000000000 to 4999999999, receiver CTR "by cost element"
    4. Created Model Order, filling the Investment Profile IMOBIL created in step 2.
    5 Created Settlement Profile ZCV0001, assigning Allocation Strucutre CV, allowing CTR and AUC for receivers, default receiver is "FXA", doc type "AA".
    6 Created ORder Type CV01, assigning Settlement Profile ZCV0001.
    When I post only for Asset Expenses (Source Cost element 7, Assigment 01), the settlement through KO88 correctly settles to AUC, and also creates the settlement rule for cost center (i'm using the strategy to create from Responsible Cost Center).
    But when I post for Asset Expenses (cost elements 7, receiver AUC) AND General Expenses (Source Cost element 4, receiver CTR), KO88 generates an error KD506, saying that for Assigment 02 - AUC I didnt define a settlement cost element.
    1. Assignment 02 is not AUC, is CTR;
    2. I flagged "by cost element", so I don't need a settlement cost element. And also, I was able to post to AUC when the source posting was only for cost element 7.
    Did you face any problem like this?
    I cannot find out what is the missing configuration, or if it is a program error...

    I already created Source Structure and assigned to my Setllement profile (so I assigned Allocation Structure AND Source Structure).
    I don't understand when you say that I need to assign the Source Sutrcture in each rule....because the Source structure is in the Settlement Parameters valid for both rules...
    When I post to Asset Expenses only for the internal Order, the 2 rules (CTR and AUC) are created when I run KO88 (but only AUC rule is settled). This is OK.
    The problem is when I post for both General Expenses AND Asset Expenses, the system is not recognizing that I have 2 source structures, neither is findind that for CTR AND AUC the Settlement cost elements are the original cost elements.
    I'm thinking about changing message KD506 to warning, do you know if this can help?

    We have maintain derivation rule as - WBS to Fund Center. This Fund center is DUMMY because we need not want to control WBS through Funds Management.
    There is always one Cost center in each WBS. while settling this WBS we are getting error as -

    Message no. AW851
    ABC - Company code
    000127000000 - asset number
    DUMMY - Fund center

    check you settlemnt rule for internal order. forsure you will find mismatch between settlemnt rule and actual settlemnt. check in settlement rule the % to be settled.

    Hi,
    You should check if depreciation area 01 is activated. If not, activate it and it should allow settlement.
    Or could it be that you possibly have no depreciation area 01 in the AuC?
    In such a case when there is no depreciation area 01 present in AUC, it is NOT possible to post from an internal order to an asset under construction. 
    If you do not want values in depreciation area 01, you can customize a capitalization key in the AuC. Please refer to the documentation on this functionality.    
    This inforamtion should help you to resolve AW 666 when trying to settle an Internal Order.

    While settling the Project to AUC I am getting the below error. Please advice.

    Diagnosis
    During settlement of sender WBS DAMEPL 1.1.1.1 there was an attempt to settle a posting that has account assignment CAPEX /  / (fund/functional area/grant) to an asset subnumber. However, the receiving asset DAML 000009000004 0000 does not have an asset subnumber with this assignment.
    System Response
    The posting on this sender cannot be settled to an asset subnumber.
    Procedure
    Either create an asset subnumber with account assignment CAPEX /  / for asset DAML 000009000004 0000, or settle to a different receiver.
    If this message appears as a warning only, then the posting from this sender is settled to the asset main number.
    Fund Capex : CAPEX
    Company Code : DAML
    WBS Element : DAMEPL 1.1.1.1

    I  am facing the same error and find this OSS Note 440396 - Missing entries for configurable messages in IS-PS-FM where you can deactivate the error message.
    Hope this will solve your issue too.

    Reason and Prerequisites
    Missing entries in tables.
    Solution
    Create Application Area for Customizable messages for 'AW' using transcation SM30 with view V_T100SA.
    Next using transaction SM34, enter view cluster VC_T100S, click maintain and select Application Area AW and double click Messages. Add the following entries:
    AppArea     No. Allowed Values     Std     Switch off
    AW     851    EWI     E          X
    AW     852    EWI     E          X
    AW     856    EWI     E          X
    AW     857    EWI     E          X
    Afterwards with Transaction OBA5 insert the entries for the messages you want to customize, and set them to the error level the behaviour should be for your particular case.

  • Error-M2O-Settlement rule for assembly order for item...could not be genera

    Hi,
    When I am creating Sales Order (VA01) for M2O, I am able to do the costing and copy the EK02 condition type. I have verified the the incompletion log, it indicates that document is complete.
    But while saving the sales order, the below error message is displaed:
    Settlement rule for assembly order for item 000010 could not be generated. Should the order still be saved?
                    Yes/No
    1. If No is choosen the following error message is displayed
           Error when processing Production order
          Error when processing Production order
          Message no. V1380
          Diagnosis
            A technical error has occurred. On calling up the assembly interface, exception 5 was triggered. The exceptions have the  following meanings:
    1 = External block,  2 = General error,  3 = Insufficient data for the interface,  4 = Order was not found, 5 = Update has been rejected, 6 = Final document number for Production order is not issued.  Procedure: Inform your system administrator.
    2. If Yes is choosen, it is creating Production Order without settlement rule. Able to perform GI & Gr. If I try to enter settelement rule (Settlement receiver SDI - Sales document item) in production order (CO02), the belwo error message is displayed
    "Distribution rule for Sales document item can only be created automatically Message no. KD063"
    We are using the requierement class with below details:
    Reqmts class: ZSO- for M2O
    AAC = E, Valuation = A, Settlement profile =SD1, RAKey = 000004, Assembly type = 3.
    Settlement profile contain:
    Allocation structure, PA structure, Default object type = SDI. Valid receivers: Optional -Sales Order / Prof. seg.
    If I make the Valuation field as blank in Reqmts class, there is no error while creating Sales order. And also Settelemnt rule with sales document item as receiver is successfully creating for the production order. Since the Valuation is blank in requirement class, it is Non valuated Sales order stock. All GIs & GR are non valuated
    The business requirement is it should be valuated sales order stock and the production varinaces has to be settled to Sales order. Then Sales order has to be settled to COPA.
    Need your valuable inputs to meet this requirement.

    I am facing follow error when try to settled production order in KO88.
    There are no accrued amounts; settlement is not possible
    Message no. KD256
    Diagnosis
    The sender has a results analysis key, but no accrued values.
    Either the accrual was not yet started for the sender, or the values to be settled from the accrual equal zero.
    Note
    Actual costs are only settled once the sender is technically completed or finally delivered.
    This applies to
    Projects that cannot carry revenues

    I have checked in production order that goods are issued against the production orders and costs are captured.
    When I run KKAX,facing following error.Hope you can solve this.
    There are values for cost element 50200000 that are not assigned to any line ID
    Message no. KJ161
    Diagnosis
    Not all values for the cost element are assigned to a line ID.
    Procedure
    Assign the cost element to a line ID. If you don't want to include the cost element in results analysis, assign it to a line ID of category N.
    You can access a detailed list of unassigned cost elements as follows: Start results analysis in the individual processing mode (transaction KKA1, KKA2, or KKA3). Select the field Full log. Execute the function. On the next screen, choose Logs -> Parameter List in the menu. A list is generated. The unassigned values are shown at the end of the list.
    If cost element "+++++++++" was shown in the message, this is because in the assignment of costs and revenues to line IDs, you have not used a cost element other than the full masking "+++++++++". In this case a presummarization eliminates the information on the cost element.

  • GLT2201 error while settling AuC to Final Asset through KO88

    Hello,
    We have a scenario where in I am settliing an AuC through KO88 to the final Asset but am getting Document splitting error GLT2201. Profit Center is maintained in the Cost Center assigned to the Asset Master and also in the Internal Order. I could settle from the P/L account to the AuC asset when i ran KO88 earlier but its not allowing settling from AuC to the Final Asset.
    We are using Parallel Ledger and I have defined 2 additional depreciation areas, 30 for posting only depreciation (real area) and 60 for posting only APC (derieved area). I have maintained ACSET for all the depreciation areas. I feel the error is due to Parallel Ledger but I am unable to figure out how and where.
    Can anybody help me out please.

    I managed to resolve the error, some how by oversight Profit Center was suppressed in the Field Status of Asset G/Ls though Cost Center was Optional. I changed the Profit Center Field Status to Optional and it worked.
    But I am wondering how it allowed KO88 to run while settling from the Cost Element (P/L GL) to the AuC because they both used the same Field Status?

    For the Purchase Rebate Scenario, I have followed the following steps :
    1. Create Rebate Arrangement
    2. Create PO
    3. Goods Receipt
    4. Invoice verification using MIRO
    5. Check Update of business volume T-code : MEB6 Update of business volume was successful.
    6. Execute Interim Setttement - Tcode MEB4
    In this step, I am getting this error "Error messages generated during billing document check run" Message no. MN236
    Settlement accounting for rebate arrangement 45 is carried out using the general billing interface in the system (credit-side settlement type) or the general billing interface for customer billing documents (debit-side settlement type).
    It is also possible that credit memos (invoice verification, credit- side settlement type) are involved.
    The documents cannot be created without errors.
    Please help me out in this. What could have possibly gone wrong?

      for settlement of internal orders/PM orders KO88/KO8G is run but before execution you shoud see the following step as period end activity:
      1.. calculate activity price (KSII)
      2. Revaluation of actual price KON1/KON2

    The Company code and Cost center should be maintained in IT0017.

  • Internal Order Settlment Error: First settle items from previous year in

    Dear Gurus,
    I tried to work out a solution to settle AUC to G/L expense account through internal order. I tested in QA system it works well. But in PRD, it gave me an error message "First settle items from previous year in the previous year".
    The process is the following: IO-> AUC-> FXA or G/L. Becaue user has done some expense transaction wrongly to the AUC so he wants to post the balances in AUC to GL  expense account.
    I have set the final settlement to GL as optional and config some pop up message as warning message and implement a sap notes to fulfill this request.
    I guess my problem is:
    I tested in QA in senario the IO was created in 2009 and I tried to settle it to a GL in 2010. So it shows no problem. However in PRD the IO was created in 2008 and the final settlement year is 2010 or 2011 so it shows the error which was not shown in QA.
    The error message only shows "First settle items from previous year in the previous year".  No more detail to me.
    Have you ever run into this problem before? Please help to throw some lights on it.
