What can be the problemManoj,
it looks like the USER data needed to connect to the instance hasn't been saved correctly. Please look at SAP note 39439 and save this data.
If you continue to have problems, you will need to open a CSS message.

I can't start my J2EE server, when I type "j2ee verbose" on windows console, it showed an error like this :

I used J2EE 1.3.1 and JDK 1.5.0. I also have set an environment variable like shown below :

I tried j2ee -verbose command from C: prompt as well
as from C:\j2sdkee1.3.1\bin prompt in which j2ee
batch file is present.

i have the same problem with OLAP, when i start an instance i have got error messages in alert_log, and a lot of objekts a invalid, i can not recompile the objekt, oracle will it automatic, and ends with this errors:

Error while starting centeral instance
hi all
i'm facing a problem and i really need hellp, while trying to start SAP the central instance failed and this is the start log
Instance Service on host hostname started
Cannot create Lock File. ("sapstart.sem" Read-only file system)
(13906) Exiting with Return-Code -103. (Access permission denied)
Startup of Instance failed
i checked out the permission of this file and it's directory which was correct as follows:
drwxr-xr-x 2 bp1adm sapsys 12288 Sep 21 13:32 work <<<directory
the "work" directory contains the file which the error logs stated ,when i try to create a file under the "work" directory it says :
touch: cannot touch `new_file': Read-only file system
i unmounted and re-mounted again and tried to create a file and i succeeded ; tried to start SAP again but it failed giving same error again and i failed to write under the "work" directory again

What OS version do you have is it Linux?

If yes kindly do the clean shutdown and try to start the system.
Check for the permision to sapstream files in /tmp.

you can do the chmod 777 <specific file>.

Error when starting oracle instance

today, after a lot of trouble, I was able to install oracle 10.2.0.1 on redhat as 4 upd 2 x86_64.
This link helped me so much http://www.puschitz.com/InstallingOracle10g.shtml help.
I met a link error because of binutils version. After I installed binutils-2.15.92.0.2-15.0.0.0.2.x86_64.rpm (my version was binutils-2.15.92.0.2-15.0.0.0x86_64.rpm), I did retry and the install problem was solved.
Then during dbca I met another error (ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact) because of libaio. I had 32 bit version instead of 64 bit. After the package update dbca run successfully.

Error while starting J2EE Engine:com.sap.security.core.persistence.datasour
I would like to ask for your help to look into the problem being encountered in starting J2EE Engine
Caused by: com.sap.security.core.persistence.datasource.PersistenceException: Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)
At first we identified that the user EPQASCONNECT was not created in R3 QAS system, we have created this one. At the same time, we have changed the ume.r3.connection.master.passwd to reflect the password set in R3 QAS. But still it is not working.
Also, checking the trace file for server0, the rc code is -11113.
The following users SAPJSF,J2EE_GUEST and J2EE_admin were not locked.

I am not able to start j2ee server successfully. I keep getting the following error when I try to start the server by typing j2ee:

Error while starting the instance while using ASM
I used the following steps to work with ASM concept.
1)To create an ASM instance first create a file called "init+ASM.ora" in the "/tmp" directory containing the following information.
INSTANCE_TYPE=ASM
2)Next, using SQL*Plus connect to the ide instance.
export ORACLE_SID=+ASM
sqlplus / as sysdba
3)Create an spfile using the contents of the "init+ASM.ora" file.
SQL> CREATE SPFILE FROM PFILE='/tmp/init+ASM.ora';
File created.
Finally, start the instance with the NOMOUNT option.
SQL> startup nomount

I am using j2sdkee1.3 with jdk1.3.1_01 over NT system. When I started JMS provider by "j2ee -verbose", I got an exception saying "TCP/IP ports(1050) in use by another process". Then I tried other port numbers like 1051 and 1061, the same error kept coming. What is the best port number I should use or whatelse I should do to solve this problem? Thanks.

I am using j2sdkee1.3 with jdk1.3.1_01 over NT system.
When I started JMS provider by "j2ee -verbose", I got
an exception saying "TCP/IP ports(1050) in use by
another process". Then I tried other port numbers like
1051 and 1061, the same error kept coming. What is
the best port number I should use or whatelse I should
do to solve this problem? Thanks.
