  • Gateway error in sun ONE portal gateway when invoking a Lotus notes channel

    Hi Friends,
I have configured a channel in the portal server for integrating it with the lotus notes server. I have to edit the following options in the channel.
    servername: <name>
    portnumber: 80
    username: <username>
    userpassword: <password>
This configuration is working fine when I login through http. But when I login through the gateway (https), it gives me error saying
"Unable to connect to host - icemail.

But when I use IP ADDRESS instead of server name it is able to open the lotus email normally.
I have pasted the log files below. Kindly help me in solving the issue.

    Cheers,

IIRC this file, sasl32.dll, should get installed onto %WINDIR%\system32 when you install DS5.2 windows version.
You may run WinZIP and File/Open "d52diu.zip" (DS5.2 zip image) and look for "nsbasesys.zip", double click to Open it and you should find "sasl32.dll" there.

    Hi Frank,
A couple of things to cross check.
    1) Check the package structure of the war file. And cross check with the format given by SUN at
    http://docs.sun.com/source/816-7150-10/dwdeploy.html#69868
    2) Give more detail logs, and it is available at <deployed server instance>/logs/server.log.
    3) Deploy the war file without running the verifier, and see what is the output.
If it wont help send the war file to me.
    Thanks,
    -Parsu

    hi
i was able to solve the error :-).
I was trying to migrate an application from iAS 6.5 to 7.0. During the deployment of the application (using ant scripts) a few jar files required for the application to run were copied to the jdk\jre\lib\ext folder. Those files were the cause of the problem. Once i removed those files i was able to start up the application server..

You do not need to install Tomcat. SJSAS contains a web container. The error you are seeing could be caused by a few reasons. There are many previous threads on this issue, perhaps you could search the forum. I used the following search term, "Unable to compile class for JSP" ,and got many hits.
    http://onesearch.sun.com/search/developers/index.jsp?col=devforums&qp_name=J2EE+Software+Development+Kit+%28J2EE+SDK%29&qp=forum%3A136&qt=Unable+to+compile+class+for+JSP

  • Error Using Sun ONE Application Framework

I am new to the Sun ONE Application Framework. I started by following the tutorial specifically for Java Studio. I get an error when trying to add a ViewBean.
    Confirm refresh invalid JSP template
The current default JSP template [DefaultPage] is invalid. Do you want to rename it as [DefaultPage_invalid] and refresh [DefaultPage] from NBM archive?
I reinstalled the development environment to see if something was corrupted, but I am still receiving the same error. I am running in Windows XP Pro SP 1.
I installed as test on another machine running WIndows 2000, and it works fine.
    I would appreciate any recommendations.
    Thank you

I have been continuing to research this error.
I installed Sun ONE Studio 5 update 1 on a different machine running Windows XP Profressional SP1 and still had the same issue.
I installed it on RedHat Linux 9 and it worked just fine.
Just seems to be isolated to using the Sun ONE Application Framework development tools in Windows XP.

  • Sun One Studio 4 U1 to App server 7 integration

I start the Application server 7 with the command line 'asadmin start-appserv' and everything seems to work fine. I can log on to the administration via http://localhost:4848/admin and see that the server1 instance has started and exists. I go back to the runtime tab in Sun ONE Studio and the the Server Registry has no entry for the SunOne App server. (I know it used to cause I deployed apps to it!) What happened? is there a way to 'Refresh' the Server Registry or the Installed Servers underneath?
    Any idea's would be appreciated
    Cam

Thanks for all the information. What I had to do was this:
(By the way this is with the Enterprise Try and Buy edition)
After searching around I got to Options -> IDE Configuration -> System -> Modules -> J2EE support -> Sun One Application Server 7
the properties had an Enabled = false. I couldn't set it to true though. SOoooo I registered (I thought I was already but ... ). I then went and Updated EVERYTHING under Sun ONE Studio. After this I still could not update this property so I went back and updated EVERYTHING under NetBeans (I think there was an Open API support module that I suspect was the one I had to update). After this I was able to set the property flag to true and voila! the Sun ONE application server was settable to true and it appeared in the Server Registry.
There is still a slight nagging problem though
When I set this to true however, it asked that I set a bunch of other things to true as well, (EJB Build, EJB Assembly, etc) While I don't know why it wouldn't set them up by itself it didn't. So after setting them to true the module icons appear with a red 'T' through them. I don't know what this means. ( I searched help for 'icons' 'T', etc, but didn't find anything). It seems to be working now though so that's good! I'll try to deploy a couple of applications and see what happens.
    Thanks for your help

My O.S. is Windows 2000, any idea to fix this error??
    Thanks a lot.

Please make sure that you have either TMP or TEMP (or both) environment variable defined and pointing to valid temporary directory on this system prior to attempting another installation. This could happen if you have one of these variables defined, but containing empty value.

Could somebody please explain me how to resolve it?

Well, thanks but there is no way of finding which method is to long. The methods I wrote are not longer than 6 lines!!
It seems that the error comes from the main, but I only have variables declaration in it.

  • Error com/sun/faces/config/ConfigureListener  when creating/opening project

    Hi
I have installed creator and everything was working fine. I was able to develop some projects and deployed fine. I have closed my creator and reopened it again. From then it startted giving this problem.
I am unable to create a new project. When I click on Create New Project button on welcome page, it asks me the project name and the directory. Once I enter the name for the project and click on OK there, nothing comes up and the welcome screen remains there. Now there is a red cross mark at the bottm left that shows com/sun/faces/config/ConfigureListener. It behaves the same even if I try to open an existing project.
I believe this problem started after I upgraded my patch to 112785-43. But even after I removed this patch nothing happens. Reinstalled few times but still it shows same com/sun/faces/config/ConfigureListener at bottom left corner.
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks
    SR

Got it finally .. The user settings directory is created as[b] //.Creator/1_0 instead of /.Creator/1_0. I know that I need to remove the folder .Creator/1_0 but could not find in the root directory. Went in to // and found the .Creator folder there. Deleted the folder and reinstalled it..
