Error in sync Manager since installing B1 PL19

Hi,
since I installed Pl19 for B1, i get this problem in Syncmanager
when the application loads, I get a popup saying
"The procedure entry point MiniDumpWriteDump could not be located in the dynamic link library dbghelp.dll"
also in the log window of sync Manager I then see
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object" and if I click "Try Connection" I get this error (along with the original popup)
SBO Error #127:  - The specified procedure could not be found.
Event log shows this information for that error:
SBO Error #127:  - The specified procedure could not be found.

   at NetPoint.SynchSBO.Synch.get_Plugins()
at NetPoint.SynchSBO.Synch..ctor(Company company, SecurityTicket ticket, ArrayList plugins, Int32 pricinginterval)
   at NetPoint.SynchService.NPSynchService.CycleTimer_Tick(Object sender, ElapsedEventArgs e)
All of the settings for sync are now blank
I have tried this on two machines, and the result is the same, reinstallation of Netpoint sync manager did not change the situation.
The odd thing is that I did a full sync immediatley after upgrading to PL19 and it worked just fine, however the server then was rebooted and since then, I have this problem. DI API has been updated using the version supplied in the PL19 upgrade package.
Netpoint version is 5.9.6, Running on Windows Server 2000 SP4.

Hi Shawn,
Thanks for the information.
Regarding your points
-I originally went with the Synch Manager installed on my SAP Server. However this caused issues with a 3rd party addon (called Amodat) so I moved Netpoint Sync manager to another server, where it worked happily (with the DIAPI installed)
-Since the upgrade to PL19 the problems occurred, specifically when I rebooted the server two days after the upgrade, presumably at this point something got re/un registered and this caused problems.
-The PL19 DIAPI installation, (which also coincidentally killed my Amodat and required me to delete the 680318 folders from my temp directories, there is a sdn note about it somewhere) is, I am sure, the cause of the problem but then again I have removed it fully and installed ONLY the 2004 DIAPI and still I get no joy.
-The regsvr32 test on the SAPbobsCOM dll was used just to verify that the DLL was not being properly registered on the server, other than that I have used the installer to install/remove it at all times.
-My initial concern was that something had changed in the DIAPI for PL19 and that (forward compatibility aside, it doesn't always work!) the Interop dll that shipped with the Netpoint Sync was going to need updating.
-However since I did manage to get the sync Manager running on another machine since I think this is probably an issue for SAP SDK/B1 Support and not Netpoint directly.
Phew. I guess what I'm saying is, I was just hoping that someone elese had the same problem and a handy solution already, I will continue to chase this via normal support channels from a B1 perspective.
So thanks a million to everyone for all your help so far, if you come across anything please post it up here!

  • Can't sync nano since installing itunes 10 - "unknown error"

I haven't been able to sync any music to my 5th gen nano since updating to itunes 10 - it tells me something like "ipod cannot be synced - unknown error", or else just refuses to acknowledge the sync at all. The strange thing is, when I connect my ipod to itunes, the songs I've tried to sync appear in my ipod library under 'devices' (itunes seems to think they HAVE been synced), but when I check my ipod, they're definitely not there.
I've tried reinstalling itunes and reloading my library, but it's made no difference. My ipod software is up to date as well.
Any help would be great, as troubleshooting doesn't seem to cover this issue.

Okay it turns out that this is an error 13019, yet itunes support seems to think this error only occurs when syncing to an iphone or ipod touch, not a nano....! So it doesn't suggest any fixes for the nano.
And I tried an earlier version of itunes but the error still occurred, so I guess it has nothing to do with itunes 10 after all.
I've read about 'restoring' the ipod to get rid of this error, but will this delete all music on the ipod? I have music on there that I no longer have anywhere else so it would be a shame to have to lose it just because apple can't offer a better fix.

  • IPod sync issue since installing SL

I installed Snow Leopard several weeks ago and I have been having a problem with my 4 1/2 year old Classic iPod since. iTunes gives me the message "The iPod cannot be synced. You do not have the privilege to make changes". I am logged on to my usual Admin account (I have checked and it is still Admin).
If I take the iPod and use it on my PowerBook, not only does it work OK but if I then take it back to my iMac it also then works fine. But the next time I go to use it (without first opening it on the PowerBook) I get the same error message as above.
I searched messages on here and someone was having a similar problem. Their resolution was to delete a file called 'Local' in username>Library>Application Support and I have tried this but it didn't correct the iPod problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    HI Theodore,
    Repair disk permissions.
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

  • Multiple errors when syncing and cannot install media or apps

I had some problems uninstalling apps from my new BlackBerry Curve 9300 -- the phone froze and I foolishly disconnected it from my Mac without "ejecting" it -- and now I am having big problems syncing. I cannot add media or new apps to the BB and when I tried resetting the phone by removing the battery I encountered the following error message: "Uncaught exception: java.lang.Error".
In addition, when I connect the BB to my Mac with the USB cable I get the following error from Mac OS: "Mac OS X can't repair the disk 'NO NAME." The BB appears on my desktop as a read-only disk.
I can sync information (contacts and calendars) but I cannot sync media. The error message is: "BlackBerry requires write permissions on your media card to sync your media files." Obviously, the permissions have been damaged.
And finally, when I try to add new apps to the BB using BlackBerry Desktop Software, I get the following error message: "BlackBerry Desktop Software failed to validate your BlackBerry device update. Aborting install due to validation failure. Some packages contained unsatisfied dependencies."
Yes, so I have created quite a problem. What do I do? I don't mind wiping the BB and starting fresh, but I don't know even how to do that!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I posted this question in this forum because I think it is a Mac-BlackBerry problem, perhaps something to do with disk permissions?
    -RE.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I opened the log file in Blackberry Desktop and the "unsatisfied dependencies" error was highlighted in red. I don't understand computer logs; however, it seemed to me that Desktop was looking for the BlackBerry Podcase app, which I had deleted. I reinstalled it using BlackBerry AppWorld on my BB and now Desktop and my BB are talking to each other again.
The moral of the lesson: don't ever delete an app on your BB with the word "BlackBerry" in it.
I still don't know how the permissions problem with the media card fixed itself.

  • Sync issues since installing 9.1.0.79.

I dont seem to be the only user with this issue and have tried several different 'fixes' posted in this thread, all to no avial. I can only think that if more people keep raising this as an issue the software wizards will updated iTunes with an offical fix (hopefully)....

my problem was similar, but slightly different...I couldn't sync new video downloads to my ipod touch. After posting on this forum and not getting responses for 2 days, I gave up and emailed itunes support. They answered actually within about 4 hours, not bad....they said all windows users are having problems with 9.1, and they recommended that I uninstall 9.1.0.79 and install 9.0.3 until Apple comes up with another version that fixes all the issues. They also gave me a link to download 9.0.3.
So, I did this and now when I try to open itunes it won't open and I get an error message like this:
"The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes."
So, I've emailed this to them now, and have asked for the next step to get going again. That's what I'm waiting for, but does someone on this forum have an answer for this now?

  • IPod Classic will not sync since installed iTunes 11

iPod Classic will not sync properly since installed new iTunes. Always stops at or around song 2 and just hangs there, even if left all night. Tried restoring the iPod, made no difference. Tried syncing just some songs, sometimes it will do 20 or so but not more than that - and I have 10,000 songs.
Saw something about problem with Winsock and reset that but no effect.
Recently been re-recording CDs in Apple Lossless with 'Convert to AAC' selected for iPod. Maybe the conversion process is causing the block? But it did not before.
I also tried moving the itunes material from the Synology NAS to the PC as I thought the processing power might be the problem. It synced once after that, now it is blocked again. Tonight I tried selecting only the original AAC files and it seems to have worked for them, my problem therefore seems to be the Apple Lossless - unless the syncing of AAC files is another one-off.
Not for the first time I wish I had not updated iTunes because it so often leads to problems of some kind. Why do they not care?
    Any

Update: following successful sync of AAC files, I changed the setting to 'manual' for music & videos, used the View menu to restore the old sidebar, and manually added the Lossless files to the IPod. That actually seems to be working (very slowly). But it would be better if Sync worked as it should.

    Thanks Thomas
Yep had checked permissions, see below.  Any others that I may have over looked that you can think of?
    1. Login \ install account as local Admin on the Server
    2. Login \ install account has full SQL SysAdmin rights, was also used for installing the SQL Instance locally
    3. Checked account in AD so that it is ok for Kerberos Delegation
One thing is that I have specified this account for all account options during install (since its a test environment), in production would usually create distinct accounts, is this likely to be an issue though?
Will attempt install again but use Local System etc instead of specifying my domain account just to check \ see if error changes.
    Kind Regards

  • Best practice for data migration install v1.40 - Error 2732 Directory manag

    Hi
I'm attempting to install SAP Best Practice for Data migration 1.40 on Win Server 2008 R2 (64 bit).
    Prerequisite error
Installation program stops with missing file error
The following file was not found
    ... \migration\InstallationWizard\BusinessObjects Data Services\setup.exe
The file is necessary for successful installation. Please connect to internet or refer to Quick Guide (available on SAP note 1527151) for information regarding the above file.
    Windows installer log displays
Error 2732 Directory Manager not initialized
SAP note 1527151 does not exist or is internal.
Any help appreciated  on what is the root cause of the error as the file does not exist in that folder in the installation zip file.
Other prerequisite of .NET 3.5.1 met already.
Patch is released since 20.11.2011 so I presume that it is a good installation set.
    Thanks,
    Alan

  • Sync manager part fail: "Error: Insufficient Storage Space&qu

I'm using sync manager to transfer my collection of 3502 songs from my Zen Xtra to my PC before I upgrade to a 60GB Vision M.
It completes the sync but with 92 songs moved and a message that it is "complete with errors". The remaining songs each have the message "Error: Insufficient Storage Space"
The peculiar thing, my computer has 240GBs free!
Please can someone advise how to fix this and backup my songs? - Thank you.

You're not the only one with problems synching with?an Xtra. It appears that creative introduced a bug in their newer software that causes the transfer to fail regardless of how much space you have. Try installing the old software that came with the Xtra to copy it off. Creative sure has stellar support for their products, eh?Next time I'll go with another vendor. This is simply shoddy service on their part.

Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox [[Profiles|profile folder]] to reset the extensions registry.

I don't know why this faulty code is referencing things to do with "chrome"... the Chrome browser is not installed on this PC or anywhere on our network.
Also, this is not the first problem I had after clicking Firefox's prompt for the latest update. Before Firefox retreated into this error message, it was loading but running with some faults...
    1. the bookmark symbol was not appearing on the right hand side of the URL line, so I had always to click on "bookmark this page", after which the bookmark symbol did appear; however I don't know if the bookmarking function worked properly.

How do I reinstate my Firefox program to work properly please? do I have to download the latest version and reinstal? if so, do I have to remove the old version first? or is there a fix?
Even to write this message I have been forced to use (yuk -- I don't like to say this!!!) Internet Explorer. So please -- I need help urgently.

Many years ago synced iCal with Microsoft program. Since installing Lion whenever I try to create an event in iCal it flashes up message "Unable to open Microsoft sync services Power PC applications no longer supported." How do I get rid of message?

Lion no longer supports PowerPC apps. If this is Microsoft Office 2008 (Entourage 2008) then you should disable the syncing services.  (I don't have Office 2008 installed anymore so I don't know exactly what it's called anymore.)  If you have Microsoft Office 2004 or earlier, then it can't be run on Lion at all since Lion removed Rosetta, which is what allowed a PPC app to run on an Intel based Mac.
Also, I believe Microsoft removed sync services from the current Outlook 2011 (which replaces Entourage) so even upgrading to a newer version of Microsoft Office will not get you back that calendar sync feature.  Supposedly Microsoft is working on a new syncing system, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
