Error in testing a extproc service
Hi,
I'm trying to configure an extproc service on oracle9i on win2k server.
After configuration when i test the service using the 'Net Manager', it gives following error :
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
Following is the listener.ora file :
EXTPROC1 =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = extproc))
LISTENER =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = ithinkshopnew)(PORT = 1521))

(SID_LIST =
(SID_DESC =
(PROGRAM = extproc)
(SID_NAME = ext11)
(ORACLE_HOME = e:\Oracle9i)
TRACE_LEVEL_EXTPROC1 = USER
Following is the tnsnames.ora file :
EXT1.192.168.0.211 =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(Key = extproc))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVICE_NAME = ext11)

(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =

(CONNECT_DATA =

I feel that either the configuration I have done above is missing something.
Is there any configuration/setting other than the above files ?
Is there something Win2k specific that I need to do ?
Any help/hint is welcome.
Thanks in advance,
amol.
What I learned this weekend is that an ora-03113 when connecting to extproc via sqlplus is a sign that it is working (!).Wendy, Of course you are joking :-)
An error is an error, and it means that the connection did not succeed. Maybe you mean that the listener service is working :

Error while testing an application service
Hi,
I have created a project wherein I have imported a standard BAPI as an external service and calling this external service in an application service.
Following is the code used for the same:
public com.sap.esproj.appsrv.datatypes.CompanyData getUserDetails(java.lang.String id) throws com.sap.caf.rt.exception.ServiceException {
// logging
java.lang.String CAF_user = sessionContext.getCallerPrincipal().getName();
java.lang.String CAF_methodHeader = ESAppServiceBean.JARM_REQUEST + ":" + "getUserDetails(java.lang.String)";
Object[] CAF_parameters = new Object[] {id};
com.sap.caf.rt.util.CAFPublicLogger.entering(CAF_user, ESAppServiceBean.JARM_REQUEST, CAF_methodHeader, ESAppServiceBean.location, CAF_parameters);
com.sap.esproj.appsrv.datatypes.CompanyData retValue;
try {
//@@custom code start - getUserDetails(java.lang.String)
retValue = null;
// Create data container for Input-Parameter and fill it.
BAPI__USER__GET__DETAIL
params = new BAPI__USER__GET__DETAIL();
params.setUSERNAME(id);
// Get reference to the object representing the external service call.
BAPI__USER__GET__DETAILLocal bapi_local = this.getBAPI__USER__GET__DETAIL();
try {
// Call the BAPI.
// Return value of this method call contains all the data that the BAPI returns.
BAPI__USER__GET__DETAIL_dot_Response result = bapi_local.BAPI__USER__GET__DETAIL(params);
// Retrieve the address structure out of the result data container.
BAPIADDR3 addr =
result.getADDRESS();
// Fill the application services return structure.
retValue = new CompanyData();
retValue.setFirstName(addr.getFIRSTNAME());
retValue.setLastName(addr.getLASTNAME());
} catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
throw new ServiceException(e);
//@@custom code end - getUserDetails(java.lang.String)
return retValue;
} finally {
com.sap.caf.rt.util.CAFPublicLogger.exiting(CAF_user, ESAppServiceBean.JARM_REQUEST, CAF_methodHeader, ESAppServiceBean.location, CAF_parameters);
I have also completed external service configuration.
There is no compile time error and deployment is successful. When I try to test the application service I am getting the following error: ERROR. The following exception occured while processing your request: com.sap.caf.rt.exception.ServiceException.:
Can anyone help me in resolving this error.
Regards,
MurtuzaHi Asutosh,

Error while testing External Web Service Integration
I'm getting an error when I try to test an external webservice from Studio. After performing the steps to create an external webservice integration with SOAP, When I right-click on the .wsid file and choose "Test Service Operations" and chose the communication scenario and submit request, I get an error "A technical error error occured AP-RC-BDS-WS".
I'm not able to call the service visa the ABSL script as well. When I debug, I get an error in the response CommFault as,
"SoapfaultCode: 5 Server Error."
I'm able to successfully test the web service from SOAPUI.

Hi all,
I am trying to create a web service for RFC Function module. I ceated the web service, now I want to test this Web service. I have the URL of WSDL file, but when I execute the URL, it doesn't display.
Can you please suggest me what will be the reason for this error?
Thanks
Sanket sethiPlease find below the steps to create and test web services.
Please follow up these steps and you would not get any error in testing web services.
Hope this would help you.
1. Go to SICF and activate this webservice: u201C/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/QUERY_VIEW_DATAu201D
2. Go to transaction WSCONFIG andenter service destination u201CQUERY_VIEW_DATAu201D and enter variant u201Cquery_view_datau201D and hit
enter. Currently, there are no released services so create a new service.
3. Choose Save to release this web service.
4. Choose ICF Details -> External Aliases
5. Choose u201CNewu201D to create a new external alias.
6. Enter external alias u201C/sap/bw/xml/soap/queryviewu201D and enter description u201CSAP BI Web Service u2013 XML Result Setu201D
7. Specify your security and user ID on the u201CLogon datau201D tab.
8. Specify u201C/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/QUERY_VIEW_DATAu201D under the u201CTrg Elementu201D tab.
9. Save your external alias.
10. Go to transaction WSADMIN -> Goto -> Administration Settings. Ensure that the path to your J2EE is specified here and save this.
11. Find your web service and choose the u201CWeb service homepageu201D
12. Login to your ABAP system from the Web Service Navigator
13. Choose Test -> GetQueryViewData to test this service.
14. Enter and Infoprovider and Query and send the request to test this web service. Note: If the query has mandatory variables, those must be passed in the parameter. For the sake of this test, use a query without variables.
15. Ensure the request and response are successful.
16. If you have issues, make sure you activate your Web Service and Interface in SE80.
17. Here is an example of how to pass parameters for filter values using WEB API commands. We are passingtheFILTER_IOBJNM=0D_CHANNEL and FILTER_VALUE=3.
18. Here is an example of how to pass parameters for variable values using WEB API commands. In this case, we are using a selection option variable. We are passing the following parameters:
VAR_NAME_1=DISTGOP
VAR_OPERATOR_1=EQ
VAR_VALUE_LOW_EXT_1=3
VAR_VALUE_HIGH_EXT_1=5 -

There was an NPE problem reported and resolved (CR117566) concerning
using "mixed" ComplexType, something like:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<xs:schema xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema";>
<xs:complexType name="fooType" mixed="true"/>
<xs:element name="root" type="fooType"/>
</xs:schema>
Generally speaking, an NPE will be a bug. Can you provide an small
example that generated the NPE to the support team, it would be very
helpful in resolving this issue.
Thanks,
Bruce

Error when testing a web service created in XI
Hi experts,
I created a web service in XI to execute a RFC and return its result, but when the WSDL file is tested in XMLSpy, the below error is returned:
<SOAP:Envelope xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">

<text>Message is incomplete. No Sender found</text>
</s:SystemError>
</detail>
</SOAP:Fault>
</SOAP:Body>
</SOAP:Envelope>
It's the first time I use XI, so I've no idea of which extra details I should provide to give a better description of my problem.
Thanks in advance,
André Ramos SouzaSouza,
If you see the message
<code>RCVR_DETERMINATION.MESSAGE_INCOMPLETE</code>
<text>Message is incomplete. No Sender found</text>
It is complaining baout recceiver determination incomplete or no sender agreement. So please check all your ID objects once again.

SICF - HTTP 500 Error when testing SOAP RFC Service for XML load into BW
I am trying to load a XML file into BW w/o XI. So there is no source system as such. I followed the 'How to guide on loading XML to BW. I am on BW 3.5. I went to
transaction SICF>default_host/sap/bc/soap/rfc
I did a RMC and selected Test Service. A browser window open like it is trying to connect to the BW system, but I see the HTTP 500 - Internal Server Error.
What is causing this? All services are appearing as Active (grayed out). I am basically trying to put the XML file into the BW delta queue. The BW data source have been created and ther is a green entry in RSA7.
Thanks in advance.Dinesh,
My question was more reagrding one of the steps that is not working i.e. testing for webservice. I am aware of the datasource etc.
Hence, still looking for help on what could be the causes of my error as described in the original message above.
Thanks! -
Error when testing the alert service
Hi,
Following Michal blog trouble shooting the alert .. i am checking the alert service in trans SICF
When i hit the test service I get this error page:
Business Server Page (BSP) error
What happened?
Calling the BSP page was terminated due to an error.

Your SAP Business Server Pages TeamHi Mushon,
The SICF service is used to check if the ALERTINBOX is activated. Before doing this , I would suggest you code to T code - <b>SE38</b>.
In the program , type <b>RSALERTTEST</b> and then click on EXECUTE button ( F8 ). In the next window, it will ask you for your ALERTCATEGORY. Just give the name of your ALERT CATEGORY and click EXECUTE.
If you have configured your alerts correctly, you will receive a message that tells ALERT IS GENERATED and will give the ALERT ID.
Now, go to your Run TIme workbench and then select ALERT INBOX and see if you have got the ALERT message in your ALERT INBOX.
If yes, then your ALERT INBOX service has been activated.

503 Error on test of web service
Hi,
I am using JDev 11.1.1.0.1 with WebLogic 10.3.
I have created a J2EE 1.4 JAX-RPC with support for WLS web service, based on a simple java class. There are no custom mapping classes.
I have successfully deployed to WBS. I go into WBS control and start the application. Then I attempt to run the test client, and get a 503 error.
Help would be appreciated...
Am I missing something simple here?
thanksHi Poojith,
Thanks for your answer.
The destination URL's are directly the web service WSDL URL. we configured the WSDL URL because we only have one web service consuming via the logical destinations.
If I configure as destination URL: http://hostname:portnumber/inspection.wsil I get the same error
If I check the URL http://hostname:portnumber/inspection.wsil it is working fine and show me the web service definitions configured on the system.
