Error in the adobe reader installation

I need a help to install adobe reader. when trying to install software of any link available on the network the following error message appears in the installation: the path my documents or the volume is invalid. Insert it again. sorry for the translation because I used the google translator.

Sorry, I don't understand this part "any link available on the network".
Anyway, assuming that you are on Windows, it seems that the registry contains an invalid path to your 'My Documents' folder.

  • How do I stop the Adobe Reader Installer from crashing?

I downloaded install_reader10_en_air_mssa_aih.exe and this popup appears:
    Microsoft Visual Studio Debugger
An exception occurred. Process will be terminated. (Exception address is 00413E6C).
If I leave it open for a while, it eventually says:
    Just-In-Time Debugging
An exception 'Runtime Error' has occurred in Script.
However, no debuggers are registered that can debug this exception. Unable to JIT debug.
When I tried opening a second copy, I did not get this popup, but instead received a different message:
    Adobe Reader Installer
    Installation encountered errors
    Actionlist not found

Try the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

  • Error in new Adobe Reader installation?????

I had Adobe Reader X..installed New XI (11.0.08) but it didn't incorporate/delete X and it won't let me delete program X in control Panel????

Assuming that you are in Windows, you can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.

  • Does the Adobe Reader installer modify folder permissions at install time?

From the behavior I have observed, it does; however I would like to confirm this with someone. If so, is there a specific reason this is being done and what proccess is being used, for example does the installer remove all permissions from the folder then add permissions or does it remove only the users that are not needed then add new ones? Also there are two custom actions in the MSI that I am curious about, LockFilePermissions and LockRegPermissions. It appears these are the actions that are removing the default permissions. Can anyone provide any insight as to why this is needed?

    Anyone?

    Hi,
Please provide the windows installer log of Adobe Reader installation, it will be helpful to know the exact cause of filure.
To get the windows installer log follow the steps given below:
    1. Enable the Windows Installer logging on your machine. ( Find the help to enable Windows Installer logging at : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/223300 ).
OR simply create the following registry key:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer\]
    "Logging"="voicewarmup"
    2. Now get the Adobe Reader Installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ .

  • Adobe Reader Installer does not work

I am trying to install Adobe reader on Windows 8. I downloaded Adobe Reader the Clicked the downloaded file and gave the permission. Then the Adobe Reader Installer window will show up but it's empty and has nothing on it. When I close it won't close either. I have to use windows task manger to close it. I tried to download it with another browser but still getting the same problem. I made sure that flash plug-in is working too. I used the direct link. Still can not install it.

Use the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

  • Adobe Reader Installation repeats

I am trying to print an easyjet boarding pass.
When I click on 'check in all passengers' I get an Adobe page telling me to install Adobe Reader which I do.
Then I repeat the process and Adobe Reader installation Step 1 appears again.
If I install Adobe Reader once again it tells me that it is already installed.
So I am going round in circles and am unable to print my boarding pass.
I had the same problem when I tried in the UK in July. After 2 days it fortunately cleared.
    Can you help me please?
    Many thanks

My apologies, I explained very badly.
I get to the easy jet booking page for checking in
Now if I click on Check in all passengers up comes the Adobe Reader “Install Now” page.
(If I click on “go here” I also get the Adobe Reader installation page again).
If I try to install A.R. again, it tells me that it is already installed.
And the I have to start with easyjet Check in all passengers all over again and the same performance is repeated!
I cannot get the pass out at all.
Printing - if I ever get something to print - will be no problem but I cannot get to that stage.
Thanks again for all your trouble.

So you can get the pass to open then but now it's just printing that causes this?
Can you save the pdf to your desktop (or somewhere you can find it) and open it within Reader itself rather than from within the browsers plug-in? If so, can you now print?

  • The Adobe Reader download - Avast says it is bad?

I just now tried to download the current Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site:
    www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html
and my current (free) Avast AV software kicked up a fuss and put the Adobe Reader installer file into quarantine ( or whatever Avast calls the place where he stows files that he thinks are infected).
    What's with that?
Thanks in advance for your help

    OK
I switched to current Chrome from current IE11 and the download/install actually began (from that same website url, btw), so I don't know what was with AVAST.
The install detected that I already have the current version 11.0.07 installed, so it quit - so OK ( I really do have it installed).
But I got into this because I was trying to access a PDF on VA's web site VA Form 21-0958 but instead of downloading the VA PDF, it kicked up a web page that says -
"To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade
to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
For further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html"
Any clue why the VA site thinks I'm not using the current Adobe Reader?

I have to have this reader as I do much business world wide over the internet!!

  • I've deleted Adobe Reader 11 and rebooted and reinstalled Adobe Reader 11 and I still get the error message that 'Adobe Reader is blocked because it is out of date'. Using Windows XP with the latest updates (SP3).

    Google Chrome is a problem:
if you use Chrome's own PDF viewer, the results are unpredictable.
if you use the Adobe Reader plugin with Chrome, it may reject (block) it if it is not the latest version.  Reader 11.0.08 is the latest version for Windows XP, but Chrome may insist on the current version 11.0.10.
My suggestion; use a different browser!

...trying to install Adobe Acrobat XI. The message reads " Installer mis-configured." Clearly, I can't proceed. Is a new version of the installer available? I'm not having a lot of luck with downloads from the Adobe site these days. I'm not too confident about purchasing online given two bad experienes with files that are missing (dll) and now this installer problem.

Thank you for replying, Jeff. I'm running Windows 7 -- 64 bit. Also, once the.exe file downloaded, I clicked "Run."

Totally Frustrated what are you clicking on prior to receiving the message the Installer is Mis-configured?  Also which operating system do you have installed?
