Error in the Auto Start Script

Hi all,
I am implementing the procedure in Note ID 281912.1. to configure a RHEL 5.2 x86 Box for Oracle 11g R2 DB Auto Start.
I got an error as shown below.
Thanks in advance.

The issue was resolved by adding the following to the script:

Script provided in Oracle Note 281912.1 doesn't comply with the required structure and needed that little change.

    Bingo.... I got it.
Thanks for your hint about the ./.profile. I was setting env variables in .cshrc file and my default shell for "oracle" user was sh.
Then I changed the default shell for oracle user to csh and viola..... it works.

  • How to stop the auto-start of log reader agent (replication) right after my database is restored?

I have the scenario where the SQL server is restored (after migration).
This database has transactional replication set-up on one of the databases. When I do a manual delete and restore of the database, I see that the replication starts right after the publisher and subscriber are restored.
Replication agents should not start and run before the integrity checks are completed. How to stop the replication from auto starting right after the migration?
    Thanks in advance - Jebah

Thanks Pradyothana, I have disabled the logreader, distribution agents through sp_update_job in Tsql script. I have also verified that there are no pending transactions to be replicated to the subscriber, I see that the job is still being executed. Is there
any other way to disable the jobs?
    Steps I followed
Started with a Working publication and subscription
Disabled the jobs (log reader and distribution agents)
Backed up publisher, subscriber, distribution and msdb
Deleted the publication, subscription, publisher and subscriber
Restored the publisher, subscriber, distribution and msdb
Enabled the jobs and executed sp_replrestart
    Observations/Issues
    Replication does not work
Replication monitor does not show any error
Jobs are shows as enabled but not started in job monitor
Not able to start/stop the log reader and synchronization manually.
I am not sure if I have missed something while restoring the db.
    Thanks in advance

  • Auto start script

    Hi guys
Im using SAP Netweaver 7 Trial. Is ther a way to auto start SAP , a script that can be called may be , without using the sapmmc?
    Thnks

    Hello Marvin,
These is no need of script. If you can see SAP service in services list you can set it to start automatic. Provide the user that authenticates it to come up thats it.
It will come up whenever you restart Windows server.
    Thanks & Regards

The only thing I'd caution you strongly against doing is to undeploy a project that has active instances in production.
If you do this, the instances currently running through the processes in the project will be lost and cannot be resurrected.
If this is not in production, then undeploying the project obviously won't do you any harm.
Probably not the cause of the problem, but the only time I've seen a similar error was when an incorrect JDBC driver was used for the Engine. If this is not a new installation and you're on the latest patchset and you haven't done anything odd with the JDBC driver, then you might want to give support a call to see if they've run into a similar issue in the past.

    Hi Elmar,
I have checked the packages and the XFree86-libs-4.3.99 is not installed. I guess I will have to install it.
Now your question about oracle user. I am not sure if you have performed any SAP MDM installation with ORACLE RDBMS but the installation guide is totally different than the normal SAP inst guides. Indeed someone needs to install separately SAP MDM and ORACLE and in my installation I do not install NetWeaver since it is not mandatory for the testing phase of the project. You can have a look at the guide (it is very poor -no reference to ORACLE details):
    https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000271882007E
So the official ORACLE inst gudie says to install the ORACLE software with the oracle user.
    Rgds,

  • Viewer won't launch - error in the pathing / crystal scripts?

    Hi,
I've developed a parameterized report (CR 2011). I created a Command that utilizes SQL selects. I upload the .rpt to my web application successfully. When I run the report, in my app, the dynamic parameters come up first and work as expected. Once I've selected the parameters and then click OK to run the report the following error comes up:
com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.ReportSDKException: Report file /var/www/vhosts/jobutrax.com/symfony/releases/staging/shared/reports/null not found---- Error code:-2147215356 Error code name:fileNotOpened
We are using a Java Servlet to capture the information and send it to the Java Report Viewer Web Application. Itu2019s all running on Tomcat on CentOS Linux.
Any idea what could be causing this and how to remedy?
    thx!
    Mark

    Hello Mark.
Have you confirmed that your report is lcoated in the folder "/var/www/vhosts/jobutrax.com/symfony/releases/staging/shared/reports/"?
Additionally, has the report name been set.  It sounds like it is looking for a report named "null".

The run error is broken and gives the option to list and locate errors, though these errors are found everywhere in the files that are provided in the NI-5640R.  Several wires have red x's that say that different types are attempting to be wired, and multiple blocks are highlighted that list errors that say that the blocks cannot be activated.  It seems like there is a problem with how the software and board has been installed.  The group that used the board before us had a functioning project, although they but the IF-RIO in their own computers, so they might not have put everything back together properly.  Their old VI's produce the same errors on our computer.  Do you have any suggestions on what to do?

  • How can I disable the auto start up of iphoto on my computer when I plug in my iphone?

Whenever i plug in my iphone 4s, my computer automatically opens iphoto. How do I disable it?

yeah that's what I used to do before I updated to snow leopard. Now it does not have the same menu options which is why I am asking.
It is not in image capture either.
Read the other forums on this topic, I don't seem to have those choices anymore.( general> connecting a camera) does not appear in window.
I cannot figure out where this is.

  • Auto accept script error

Any idea why ichat 5 gives me an error on the auto accept script every time I run it ? I want to leave the auto accept on permanently but its not letting me.

Click on the App in Applications.
Do a Get Info from the File Menu of the Finder (or the keystrokes listed)
If you have a Core 2 Duo Processor it will offer the option so start in 32 Bit mode.

  • Error NL-00051 when the listener starts up

    Hi,
I'm getting an error when the listener starts up on my NT4 system. I have Oracl 8.0.4 running and for some reason I get:
    NL-00051: internal error code, arguments: [302], [1], [], [], [], [], []
Does anybody know why this is happening. The listener no longer works and the DB's are out of use.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mark Willems

    bash-2.05$ oerr nl 51

// *Cause:  This is the generic internal error code for NPD program
// exceptions. This indicates that a process has encountered an
    // exceptional condition.
// *Action: Report as a bug - the first argument is the internal error number
// The second argument is the "emfi" (err msg file index).

  • Skype/Pulse audio problem only if auto started

    Hi,
I've an Arch/XFCE laptop including pulse audio and Skype (configured to use the pulse audio).
Skype has been configured  (using XFCE startup menu) to auto start during boot ( we boot daily), and, till about 2 weeks ago, worked fine.
Ever since, Skype starts but isn't functional (while trying to connect to the test service I can't hear anything, not even the dialing), and, after a few minutes, starts with a constant loud noise (which stops, once I quit Skype).
Interesting, since the problem  has begun, once I do either of the following, Skype returns, and remains, to be fully functional without any noise:
    1. Quit the auto-started Skype, and immediately relaunch it.
    2. Cancel to Skype auto start, and manually start Skype after XFCE becomes visible.
Looking at log files (below), I've seen some pulse audio related errors which I couldn't solve and may be related.
I do a full system update (almost) daily.
I'd be happy to return to the former state (functional auto-started Skype). Please advise
    Thanks
