Is there an MS fix for "error in the Microsoft Word previewer"? Can't open any Word document.

Hi,
If you click the Microsoft Office Button or the File tab in Word and then click
Open.
In the Open dialog box, you click Show the preview pane.
And you receive an error message: "This file can’t be previewed because of an error in the Microsoft Word previewer."
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
Please use one of the following methods to work around this problem.
Method 1
Preview the file in Windows Explorer.
Method 2
Preview the file in a different Microsoft Office application. For example, to preview a Word file, use either Excel or PowerPoint.

I am unable to open the microsoft word and excel and pdf files after upgratding to 4.3.3 os version. I was able to access them in 4.3.1 .
Can anybody tell when is this getting resolved.

From the Microsoft Word app they say "Access Word documents from OneDrive, Dropbox, iCloud, OneDrive for Business, or SharePoint" so it sounds like you can specify where they are saved. However, my guess would be that the default will be OneDrive.
To the OP: Have you tried logging into onedrive.live.com to see if you can see your letter there?

Thanks I havn't seen that post, busy trying it now but no luck so far.
I defined it in the second one (Content Management - Utilities - MIME Types).
Tried it now in NWA, no luck either . . .
What I noticed is no matted what it is defined as in NWA or Content Management, the properties of the mht file still shows Binary File (application/octet-stream)
Any ideas?

I'm in the same boat: new to OS X and Mac, and in the middle of a book. I switched because I heard about the the ease of using Mac, but so far, for me, it's been a nightmare. I bought 2011 Office Mac and hate everything about it, the most recent being the inability to open or cut or paste any of my original word files. I understand that this could have easily been done with earlier versions, but not Mountain Lion (which I learned is what OSX is.) Since I work with language, I am amazed at the assumptions of the Apple community. It helps to use common language and explain even the basics.
So all the helpful hints to use the latest version of Office Mac are to no avail. Now what?

I think the SQL statement should be

Error in the Microsoft SharePoint Server People Protocol Handler

I am trying to get people search to work. When I am crawling a content source with sps3 start address, I am getting the below error:
Error in the Microsoft SharePoint Server People Protocol Handler. ( Object reference not set to an instance of an object. )
I am not sure what is causing this problem. I researched and tried all the suggested solutions but nothing seems to work. How can I check whether I configured everything correctly? Is there a step-by-step guide? I followed this MSDN tutorial so far:

After long time with issue, I discovered there is misunderstanding with the following step:
"6- In the Path section, in the Path box, type the start address for the User Profile service application in the form
sps3://<hostname>, where <hostname> is the URL for the Web application where you deployed the My Sites site collection."
In the article, hostname have to be the name of the web application for my site site collection as mentioned like: sps3://mysite.contoso.com . NOT name of the server whish host this service.

Clipart Error Message with Microsoft Word 2010

When opening insert and Clip Art, I am able to enter the search word and results display, but only with an "x" thumb nail. I am unable to see any of the pictures. The error message that appears when trying to insert the clipart is as
follows:
"Error message when you try to insert a clip art image in an Office 2003 program or in an Office XP program: "Clip Organizer cannot complete the operation. Error Code 0x800c0008""

I think this issue may occur if the firewall settings block access to the Microsoft Office Online Clip Art and Media Web site. To resolve this issue, add this URL http://office.microsoft.com/clipart to the trusted Web site list in the firewall settings.
