Error in the UWL while approving the leave.

Hi all,
We configured the ESS business package.UWL is configured and the leave requests are coming into the UWLo of approver.But when he is trying to approve it is giving the error .
URL http://hostname of backend system: 8000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/ess~lea/LeaveRequestApprover call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
The termination occurred in system D01 with error code 404 and for the reason Not found.
I checked the package in SWFVISU and its correct>.I reregistered the systems in UWL and administration.
What is the service for Leave request approver?Any suggestions please

This error message comes usually when the uwl service is not running on the server.
Try to restart Uwl using the steps described below:
Restart UWL Service
1.Go to http://server:port/nwa (Netweaver Administration)->System->Start & Stop
2.Click on the Java EE Applications on the left side.
3.Select #com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl# from the Application List (you can use filter: write UWL in the Name filter and press enter)
4.After you selected #com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl# component scroll down to Application Details
5.Click on Stop button and select On All Instances
6.Click Refresh button to ensure the application status is STOPPED.
7.Click on Start button and select On All Instances
8.Click Refresh button to ensure the application status is STARTED.
If the UWL status is IMPLICIT_STOPPED after restart then some hard dependencies might
be missing in the portal and the deployment logs are needed for further analyse.

what I have done in the past:
- start a SQL trace on the forms app server database connection(s) and find the statement that consults the database for privileges; might be some organization or product setup for the user that is not matching this PO
- open the form in the Forms Developer tool and lookup the code that is called when you press the approve button

Error in Printer Selection, while print the document in Quotation.
Also both side Printing is not happening.
My Report is in Crystal Report format.

are you printing locally or shared printer?
pls check the ff.
1. make sure your printer is on and Online (For local and shared)
2. make sure the host PC is connected in the network., ping the host PC to make sure your host PC is Connected (Shared)
3. make it as your default printer.

I'm trying to set up the UWL to open the tasks defined in transaction SWFVISO, and I'm kind of stuck, so I hope you can help me.
When I open an item, I get the the following error:

Whats really bothering me, is that the application I want to execute the Work Item at, is Web Dynpro for Java?
When the UWL connector is defined, you define ITS and/or WAS to launch back-end task handlers. The decision of which is selected, is defined in SWFVISU, where you select Web Dynpro JAVA - in my case. (please do correct me if i'm wrong)
Then I dont understand why it tries to use ITS?

Part of the issue was that the XML was not generated automatically - the solution for this was due to a change in SP18.

error 5W141 indicates that the configuration for workflow is not in place fully.
1. SWU3 => Automatic customizing
You find the customizing of the workflow under Basis -> Business
Management -> SAP Business Workflow. There you can check the minimum
customizing for workflow:
2, Please check in transaction OAWF if the responsible users are
    assigned to the workflow tasks
    Menu path: Basic Functions
                 Assign tasks to agent
                    Correct worklist
                    Release worklist
                    Correct and release worklist
3, In addition check if the users are assigned to the workflow-tasks      in the basis-component (transaction
     PFTC).
   Menu path: Task type: TS   - Standard task
       Task     : corresponding task (e.g.8010 - correct worklist
The relevant logic is: if the system finds that the agent or user is defined, it will go straight to T-code SO01. And the user can edit the work list there.

So I have to guess that version — 10.1.10 — is the latest version that's available to me. My OS is 10.6.8. Again (in case the complete message isn't appearing), I'm on an older Mac, specifically MacBook 2.1. Perhaps this is the problem, and I never should have updated a few years ago. If so, I wonder if there's any way I can go back to that earlier version that worked well for me, rather than the last few versions, which have not.

Change the permission while placing the file

I have a production issue :
I am placing the .txt file into a SFTP server location from a SFTP Location[NO Transformation in the file]. (Sender and receiver channels are SFTP)
I am using user- user1(for example) which have the read write access to the particular folder, hence when it places the file it places with 664 permission .(This permission gives only user1 as read/write access , but other user have read only access).
The requirement :
The user2 want to deletes the file from the particular folder location , they want to know by any means can PI change the permission while placing the file into that location so that user2 can also have read/write access.
Can you provide the opinion whether it can be done using SFTP receiver channel or any other option to change the permission of the file.

As far as i know the permissions are related to the folder and the User not for files
While creating the access, a particular user authorizations related particular folder, not related to files.
So this should be done some thing like by giving the read/write access to user2 as well

Go to the Table Maintenence Generator screen in Change mode. from this Screen go to the
Enviorment->Modifications->Events.
New screen will open and click on the New Entries button.
then from the F4 Help of the first column, select ur appropriate Event and in the second column give the name of the Subroutine.
and from the Third column u can do the coding for the subroutine as shown below.
FORM BEFORE_DATA_SAVE.
IF SY-UNAME EQ 'USER1' OR SY-UNAME EQ 'USER2'.
ELSE.
message 'No Authorization for Change...' type 'E'.
ENDIF.
ENDFORM.
