i am trying to create Transcation Variant for the Co02 ( ProductionOrder Change ) Through Tcode SHD0
but i unable to assign the package to it . that it is triggerring the below error .Kindly Provide solution for this .
"Object can only be created in SAP package"

Hi Anand,
As said by Mr. Brahmankar , create it by placing Z as first character in new Transaction Variant.
For Example ZCO01.

SAP BW DTP error: Fiscal year variant is not maintained for calendar year

Hi experts,
Running DTP for loading 2LIS_12_VCITM results in following error "Fiscal year variant A2 is not maintained for calendar year 2012".
I have already done following checks:
- the fiscal variant A2 exists for the fiscal year 2012 in the BW system (T009 tables)
- the DTP does only give this error for 2 company codes, and works fine for other company codes
- in our R3 system, the fiscal year variant A2 is assigned to all the company codes, how or where can I check this assignment in the BW system ?

500 Internal Server Error while saving variant in web

Hi,
I am facing "500 Internal Server Error" when I try to save a variant through web analyzer or wed application designer.It works fine for analyzer.Below are details shown with this error.Please help me to solve this issue.

Did you ever resolve this issue when saving a BEx WebVariant . We are facing the same in our Development system, while it works OK in QA and Production.

Error while creating variants in article master

Hi,
I m getting an error while trying to create variants in Matrix Screen in DM. While i mark the variant check boxes and try to save the data, i get following error msg.
"Update failed. Problem while adding a new record to table 'Products' Original problem: AddRecord error Error code: -5631993. Error message (according to error code): The field cannot be edited"
Any idea on what i could be missing or how i can de code this error message to know the exact problem

The posting periods are not in ascending order.
Procedure
Specify the posting periods with the calendar year in ascending order

In your settings for fiscal year variant K5, you do not need the following entries:

4     30     4
5     31     6
6     30     6
7     31     7
8     31     9
9     30     9
10     31     10
11     30     12
Please try removing these entries and see if that resolves the error.
You only need to account for the last day of the calendar year (12/31/xxxx). You do not need to account for the last day of every calendar month. As a result, you do not need entries for the last days of January - November, unless the last day of the month is also the last day of the period, as is the case for your periods 1 and 2. That is why the entries for the entries for 1/31 and 2/28 are OK, but the other calendar month end entries should be removed.

Read from excel file stops at column 5(E) returns error at data variant function

hi,
i am read an excel file approx 15 rows by 16 rows.
The vi works fine upto 5 rows and 5 columns and prints data on front panel after using data variant.
The Cell range are also seems to be correct for higher rows/columns but then the errors occurs at data variant to 2d dbl stage.
Any idea what might be wrong in the vi

I found out what was wrong the data types should be the string type and i was using DBL.

Error in Transcation PT 60

HI Techies,
When iam trying to run the transcation PT60 (time evaluation) iam getting the error " NO ENTRY IN THE TABLE T001P FOR KEY,PERSON REJECTED" i debugged the corresponding report also,buit still unable to find out the same,as this is most important to me any one pls have look at this one and give me a valuable solution, thanks in advance.

Error in Start Variant : NO_MORE_SPACE: Can not create MTE: no more space:

Hi All,
All the start variants of the process Chains, getting the error " NO_MORE_SPACE: Can not create MTE: no more space: no more MESSAGE_CONTAINER slots available. ". But the process chains were being completed successfully.
Start process job is released at 5.00 Clock every day, it takes 1 hour to complete the start process job, when I checked the job log for this process, i am getting the above said error.
Going through the previous threads, I tried few options like utilization of table space etc. here I dont have any problem related to table space.
Please assist me in solving this problem.

As per my analysis...i guess there is no space to maintain the logs in ur system...
For this u have to delete the old logs in ur system from SM37...
U can do by a program for the same, basis team will handle these type of performance issues....
Pls have a talk with them....
On the error in dispaly messages also u can go thru long text there it'll give the detailed descrition....

Unspecified error when writing variant shared variable

Hi everybody,
I'm getting an unspecified error (-2147467259) when trying to write a variant to a shared variable hosted on my cRIO device.
I'm using a cRIO chassis as a headless controller that dynamically finds remote ScanIO chassis at startup. Similar to the LabVIEW example, the cRIO finds the chassis and generates clusters containing the IO container refnums as well as other information about the modules. I generate two arrays (local and remote) of these clusters, turn them into a variant, and publish it as a network published shared variable so they can be used in a remote PC to add or remove remote channels as needed.
Has anyone had this sort of issue before? I'm new to real-time so I'm not sure if I have violated some canon here or not Thank you for your help

There appear to be a few Corrective Action Requests (CARs) associated with using shared variables of the variant data type. The closest one I could find related to your issue was CAR #291679 where Wiring FieldPoint IO Point into shared variable throws error -2147467259. All CARs that I could find about using shared variables of the variant type threw the same error you are seeing and are feeding into it less standard datatypes (FieldPoint IO, LVClasses, IMAQ references).
To get a more general overview of your problem, does this error come up the first time you try to write to this shared variable or does it come up somewhat randomly? It would help if you could tell us exactly what hardware you are doing and if you can recreate this issue by simply deploying a program that writes a constant cluster with the same data types into that shared variable.
A possible workaround for you to try would be using the Flatten to String and Unflatten from String functions and pass that through a string shared variable. This has seemed to work for others in the past.

Gap errors in Settlement Variants?

Hi there
I am trying to create a settlement unit with a settlement variant which is defined as monthly starting from the 1st of December until 30 November the next year.
When I use this variant, my settlement unit returns the error RESCSU041.
"Gap exists between settlement periods 01.12.2012-31.12.2012 and 01.11.2013-30.11.2013"
My settlement variant is defined as

Creation of New T Code using Transcation Variant

Hi,
I have created a new T code (YMM02) by using transaction variant. The new T code created is copy of MM02.
I have changed the material by using new T code (YMM02) which is created using Transaction variant. Once I complete the Transaction (i.e. have done changes in material master and save) it is going to original T Code (MM02). Requirement is it should be in the same T Code (YMM02), so that I can edit the material again with the new T Code (YMM02)

Error: Fiscal Year Variant K4 is not expected

Hi all,
we transported all the BW stuff to Production and while loading the data in MR3, i am getting this message in cube.
It says Fiscal Year Variant K4 is not expected and there is no other explanation for that.
and I already activated the source system, but for one data source it is again saying that source system is not active.
Can anyone help me in solving this problem?

Does the records have fiscal year variant field; if so, do you have any other value other K4?
Check if ther global settings were transferred from the source system.

Displaying Error Messages in a variant FM (Object Dependency)

I've developed a variant Function Module (FM) for validating the characteristics of a material.
In the validation, if the condition doesn't satisfied, i need to through error message.
In the variant FM, under the exceptions tab., always 2 parameters we should declare like following..
1 FAIL
2.Internal_Erro
I'm using the following syntax for throwing the error message.
MESSAGE EXXX(MSG_CLASS) RAISING FAIL.
With the above syntax i'm not able to get the error message at all??
If i use the normal syntax like MESSAGE EXXX(MSG_CLASS), it is causing me other problems???
Could you please let me know how to display the error messages in Variant FM????

Usually in a function module, where you write source code, the line where you want to raise an exception ..you can raise exception this way
RAISE FAIL.
or
RAISE Internal_Erro.
In the program/report where you call your function module, you can get the exception using sy-subrc and display your custom message as

* IMPORTING
EXCEPTIONS
   FAIL                        = 1
   Internal_Erro          = 2
IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
