Error in transporting technical content Datasource

Hello
We are facing issues with transporting the Datasource ans associated transfer rules for 0TCTSOURSYS_ATTR from development to quality.
When transporting the following objects:
>Datasource Replica
>Transfer Rules
>Transfer structure
we are receiving the following error in the quality box during the import process:
Methos execution ended with errors < return code 8>
Start of the after-import method for object type R3TR ISMP (Activation Mode)
DataSource 0TCTSOURSYS_ATTR does not exist in source system WFNCLNT100 of version A
Mapping between data source 0TCTSOURSYS_ATTR and source system WFNCLNT100 is inconsistent
DataSource 0TCTSOURSYS_ATTR does not exist in source system WFNCLNT100 of version A
Field RLOGSYS will not be delivered from DataSource 0TCTSOURSYS_ATTR in source system <Quality box>
Field SLOGSYS will not be delivered from DataSource 0TCTSOURSYS_ATTR in source system <Quality box>
Field SRCTYPE will not be delivered from DataSource 0TCTSOURSYS_ATTR in source system <Quality box>
Start of the after-import method for object type R3TR ISTS (Activation Mode)
Reference to transfer structure 0TCTSOURSYS_ATTR_VA not available. No activation possible.
If i check for this DS in table ROOSOURCE on the quality box I see that there in an entry with Delivered status (no entry for active version)
checking in RSA5 I can find this datasource - however I cannot find it in RSA6
In the development box this DS has both the active version and the delivered version - I can find the DS in RSA5 and RSA6
Clicking on the transport button in RSA6 just gives a message that action completed succesfully. Therefore I tried tranporting it through tranport connection.
Please advise as to where I am going wrong and how to proceed.

Generally the flow will be like this from Dev to Quality and then to Production and in the similar way the datasource also needs to be transported in the source system also
D1 ->Q1 ->P1 (D-development,Q-quality,P-Production)
SD1->SQ1->SP1 (SD-source development,SQ-Source Quality,SP-Source Production)
please check whether the fields is present in the source system of the quality( or data source in our BW system) if not you need to transport them again

BI Technical Content datasources not found in Quality after transport

I am trying to implement BI technical Content for Admin Cockpit. I was able to implement Technical content Infocubes successfully in development box but when I collected the objects and transported to Quality(collected oblects in seperate requests: info objects in one request, datasources in one request, infocubes, transfer rules and updated rules in one request), I am not able to find the datasources in quality in myself sourcesystem even after repication. but the transport for technical content datasources is successfull. The following are the datasources:

thanks for your quick responce. I was not able to collect the datasources so I had to manually input them in the transport request. But it worked.

Error while transporting migrated contents

Dear SDN,
I had a requirement to transport the contents of Migrated Folder in Portal. I guess these contents have been migrated from EP5 to EP6. The contents in this folder are some standard SAP objects, i.e., iviews, pages, etc. The contents are working fine in our quality portal.
I had a standard SAP Page which had some standard SAP iviews attached to the page. The page as well as iviews were working fine in Quality. I transported the standard SAP Page and all the iviews folder to production, since iviews folders were not appearing in production. Now when I preview the page, page gets opened up properly but the iviews shows error on the page. The error displayed by the iviews is :
*Portal runtime error.
An exception occurred while processing your request. Send the exception ID to your portal administrator.
Exception ID: 05:54_06/03/09_118801351
Refer to the log file for details about this exception.*

Hi shreya,
Any PCD content with ID starts with com.sap...... cannot be transportted from one system to other system.
You can do a work around.
You can change the ID from com sap to com.abc(any). Then you can transport them.
But don't change the id of standard ones. Only duplicated once (copy of standard ones) can be transported.

Error while transporting a WEBservice Datasource

Hi all,
I am trying to transport a web service datasource(PI data to BW) in testing system . But while transporting ,I get the following error in the logs of my transport request.
Error generating the Web service /BIC/CQZPI_KPI00002000
This is not an authorization issue as I have got the required authorizations from the basis team .
Can anyone please give me some solution to this error.

Please check also if Myself connection was correctly set in your system.

Please check if enough authorizations were assigned to user who is

Please try to check the data format. Check if some fields are mentioned in
logs and set them to EXTERNAL before the transport.
Please try also to activate the DataSource in the source system and
then create a new transport request and transport it.

Error while transporting transformations and datasource Urgent need Help

Hi all,
I have been working on this problem for a few days now. I created an ODS object, transformations, DTP and I am using a R/3 datasource for extraction. The ODS populates fine in the Dev box, the tranformations and the datasource are fine only in the Dev box. I tried to tranport the objects to the QA box from the Dev Box. Only the ODS transports properly. The transformations are not transported at all. Here is the error I get:
Start of the after-import method RS_TRFN_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) TRFN (Activation Mode)
No rule exists
Rule 1 of transformation () is not valid and is being deleted
Rule 2 of transformation () is not valid and is being deleted
Error occurred during post-handling RS_After_import for TRFN L
Ended with return code : ==> 8 <===
Please do let me know what could be the problem. Please do respond ASAP......
if you experienced this issue please let me know how you solved it or a possible work around. any help will be greatly appreciated....
So far we have been using only 3.5 objects. This is the first 7.0 (end to End) transport.

I just followed the exact sequence that you mentioned. I transported the
DataSource first....then ODS(write optimized)....then transformations....then Dtp & infopackage.
data source ... no errors
2) ODS ..... no errors
3) Transformations .... Error....same as mentioned in my earlier post....
4) DTP and Infopackage ....Error similar to whats mentioned ...and it says that transformation does not exist.
Could it be an issue with Source System Translation ..... I dont know much about it .....could you please tell me what it could be and how to resolve it. I am thinking in these lines because the source system in QA3 exists in the Data Souces Folder and it has translated properly to QA3Client300. But under the Infoproviders folder (in Q03)...under my DSO the data source still shows Dev3Client 200(client not changed). If this is the issue do you think I need to talk to Basis support for asking them to modify the transport(internally)......can it be done....

Technical Content Transport

While trying to transport Technical Content from Dev to QA, the import log showed error 'DataSource 0BWTC_C02 does not exist in source system LSQCT100 of version A'. As a matter of fact, all datasources we tried to import resulted in similar error messages. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Quang,
I think you should do the following:
1. Run RSA9. Provide a new transport request when prompted and release this to be imported by QA.
2. Since you already have the datasources in a transport request (the one that failed), can you create a new request and include the failed one in this new request. This will help you to release the datasources for import in QA, without having to collect them again. If you cannot do this, collect the necessary datasources in a new transport request. Release this request for import into QA.
RSA5 is used to activate the datasources, but as they are active (in Dev), you do not need to do this again.

Error in transports of BI technical content

While transporting BI technical content , we are getting an error 'Program terminated (job: RDDEXECL, no.: 10524800)'
It also giving a dump as follows:

Error analysis
    An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
     in
    procedure "RSZ_P_DB_ELT_SET_IMMEDIATELY" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by
     a RAISING clause.
    Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
    exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
    The reason for the exception is:
    If you use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert to insert a record in
    the database and that record already exists with the same key,
    this results in a termination.
    (With an ABAP/4 Open SQL single record insert in the same error
    situation, processing does not terminate, but SY-SUBRC is set to 4.)
Kindly advice how this issue can be resolved .

When you have the transport request under the tranport queue of the destination System and click to truck to import appear a windows with some tabs, in the last tab appear some checkboxes with diferent options, there are some that talk to overwrite the existing objets, and other talk abou repair. Click this ans try to import.
Sometimes work.

Error while trying to access data from virtual provider - Technical Content

Hi,
I am trying to install the new BI 2004s technical content. I am done with the installation I am trying to display data for the remote cubes delivered i.e. 0TCT_VC11/21 etc. but getting an error:
Error reading the data of InfoProvider 0TCT_VC11
There is still no data source assigned to VirtualProvider 0TCT_VC11
The virtual providers are of type "virtual provider based on DTP" since standard technical content didnt have any DTPs for the VC cubes I tried to create some direct access DTPs based on datasources 0TCT_DS11 but there also getting error:
Source doesnt support direct access
I saw the type for datasource 0TCT_DS11 and its using SAP SAPI and not direct access and couldnt change the type actually the same datasource is also used by cube 0TCT_C11 so changing the type probably wouldnt have been a good idea.
I found the following notes 996735 and implemented its change...but no use...
we are on SP10 and content 7.03 SP2. Can anybody please help??

The above mentioned solution is a good idea but in this context not appropriate as it aims at resolving an issue in the delivered Content Version of 0TCT_VC11.
In your case, you already have 0TCT_VC11 activated and you can not read any data from this VirtualProvider in queries. Right?
In that case, you have to:
1. Check that the entire data flow is active for the InfoProvider (activation should occur for the MYSELF source system): 0TCT_VC11 with InfoSource 0TCT_IS11 with DataSource 0TCT_DS11
2. Activate the direct access for the VirtualProvider (Context menu of 0TCT_VC_11 > Activate Direct Access > Source Syst. for InfoSource3.x > Mark the column with the MYSELF source system and Save).
This corresponds to Installation "Step 5.) Activate direct access for virtual providers" that is mentioned in SAP Note 934848 "Collective note: (FAQ) BI Administration Cockpit".

Error while transporting custom datasource

Hi All,
Below is the scenario that was carried out in my project.
1. Created OHD to load data from a CUBE to Data base Table /BIC/ABC.
2. Created a custom Datasource ZABC_TEST with the above table.
3. Activated the DataSource and loaded the data. (Data load successfull. It works fine).
4. Tried transporting the above. But trows error while transporting the data source.
Error -- InfoSource ZABC_TEST is not available in source system BITST.
Let me know what can be done to solve the above error. Please suggest if i have missed out something.

HI,
The problem seems to be occuring since you are transporting both OHD and DS in the same TR request.
Transport first the DS in a request, then in another request transport the OHD.
This should resolve the issue.

The Creation of Export DataSource Failed Error while transporting ODS Cube

Hi All,
I am facing this issue from last 1 week.. i had developed an ODS cube in APO-DP BW which will fetch data from SAP R/3 and its working fine in APO Dev Server. But when i transport this cube into APO PAC(Prodn Server) the below error i am getting..

   The creation of the export DataSource failed
   Password logon no longer possible - too many failed attempts

I also updated the transport conversion tables but still problem not resolved.

Hi AJ,
Looking at your error, it seems that the RFC user's password is locked and hence connectivity from R/3 towards APO BW is broken.
You know the name of your export datasource (from R/3 to APO BW). Find out the name of your R/3 source system e.g. PACCLT000, by scrolling to the right against teh export data source.
Take help of your Basis or EAI team to identify the RFC destination corresponding to the connectivity from the R/3 source system (PACCLT000) to your APO BW system. (If needed ask for help from your BW team, I am not very sure how connectivity would be set up from R/3 to APO BW, I guess this would be independent from CIF connectivity)
For this RFC connection from R/3 to APO BW, see which RFC user is maintained in SM59 in APO and ask your security team to reset (or unlock) the password of this RFC user in R/3, and then if required update the user password details in SM59 in APO also.
After this, your issue should get resolved.

Datasources Missing when Installing Technical Content for BI Admin Cockpit

Hi,
I have installed the Technical Content for BI Admin Cockpit in our QA systems, for BI7, using SPRO, and it seems that there are some missing datasources, transfer rules, etc.,
The one's that are missing are:
=> 0TCTPRCSVAR_TEXT
=> 0TCTPRCSVAR_ATTR
=> 0TCTBWOBJCT_TEXT
=> 0TCTBWOBJCT_ATTR
Does anyone know if this is a known issue, that these are not available?
Please let me know if they're required, and if there's a fix to get them back.

Hi John,
In my system the symptom is the same. So I just installed them myself in RSA1->BI Content.
I don't think it's a big problem because the queries on the MultiProviders can run without these master data. For example, you may find the text of query is missing but you can see query's technical name.
I remember when I activate 0TCTBWOBJCT_TEXT and 0TCTPRCSVAR_TEXT, these datasources are in BI 7 version but there's no transformation. So I create myself.

That's the point. Admin cockpit pops up a message:
"Before you can call the BI Administration Cockpit, the technical content has to be installed and customized."

Error in transporting ODS(Error when creating the export DataSource.......)

 When I try to transport ODS from dev to quality i m getting the following error.
DataSource 8XADDR1 does not exist in source system BQ1CLNT355 of version A
Error when creating the export DataSource and dependent Objects
Error when activating ODS Object XADDR1

 XADDR1 is my ODS. BQ1CLNT355 is myself source system. When i checked the connection in the source system tab in Quality,it is ok.
Please Suggest solution,if any body encountered same problem. It is very urgent for me.

Replicate your source system in qual and then try to transport the ODS and the datamart object 8ODS ....

Impact of transporting some of the Technical Content Cubes

Hi All,
We are on BI 7.0.
We would like move only 5 of the cubes from Technical Content. We activated all the 11 cubes using Standard Report.
Questions:
1. I read in some of the threads Technical Content needs to be activated manually in the target systems... i'm thinking we can transport it.
2. I want to transport only 5 Cubes... i don't think transporting these 5 cubes models without any other is not problem.

2. I want to transport only 5 Cubes... YOU CAN COLLECT THE 5 CUBES AND TRANSPORT JUST THEM.

Error when transporting Oracle datasource and transformation.

I am doing transports in BI 7.0 from DEV to PRD. While moving transformation for Oracle Data Source to PRD, I am facing the method of execution error in transport. Please note for the same target we are using two transformations from different Oracle data sources. One is getting transported to PRD. while the other one is failing with error message source system does not exist.
Please help me to solve this issue. Points will be assigned.

Hi Davis,
Before transporting transformation make sure either of source or target should availble in target system.
suppose you have a transformation between Data source and Data Target, first transport Data source, then transport Transformation along with data target.
Before tansporting Transformation either source or target should be avaialble in QA system..then only transportation will happen smoothly..
