Error in tRFC

Hi All,
I am loading delta (daily) from three datasources 2LIS_12_VCITM, 2LIS_11_VASCL and 2LIS_11_V_ITM.
Data in RSA7 is not giving any issue but in tRFC monitor (SM58)we are getting red entries specifying that
"Function module "/BI0/QI2LIS_11_V_ITM0003" not found"
"Function module "/BI0/QI2LIS_11_VASCL0001" not found"
"Function module "/BI0/QI2LIS_12_VCITM0002" not found"
These entries are repeating frequently.
The jobs at BW side are success but as an impact we are missing some data in BW side(InfoCube)
can any body help me how to fix this issue?
thanx
Rama

Hi Ram ,
if u could load first the master data & then load transactional data one after other and not in parallel your problem will be solved .
Cheers!

    Hi ,
See ur trfc connection not available may be because due to the work processors in R/3 would have not been available for the whole period of ur loading process .
Pls wait for the parallel processes to end and then load ur data again after deleting the bad req from the manage tab

  • Error in TRFC queue

    Hi all,
A job was loading and in TRFC queue i get an error 'Time Limit Exceeded' and when  i try to execute this queue i get the message that "Request REQU_1N6KJEJGQ3PKKISMS0620YYU4 properly ended; no further processing allowed " and the queue is in error status.
When i check the data target all records have been arrived and the Request is in green status. But in the Total and Technical parameters of the 'Details' tab the status is showing red.
    Kindly suggest me possible solutions.
    Regards,

    Hi
Due to the many processes hitting the same time to the TRFC will get stuck or its processing time exceeds, hence you got the error.
Go to SM58-- Delete Entry -- Run the Load Again.
    Hope it helps

  • Error in TRFC for IDoc to File scenario while sending IDoc

    Hi,
Configured of 'IDoc to file' scenario is completed. Executed a stand alone program to post IDocs to XXI system using a RFC destination with required previleges.
Outbound IDoc has status successful, but it is blocked in the source system and can be viewed in TCode: SM58 (Transaction RFC). The error status is set as ':00'.
When I tried menu item 'Edit>>Execute LUW', I got the status message as 'Function module does not exist or EXCEPTION raised'.
For your information, User used in RFC destination is communication user with SAP_ALL profile(in XXI system).
Can anybody help me out in resoving the error?
    Regards,
    Suraj Kumar

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply.
It is successfully tested and FYI as the user specified in RFC Destination is a communication user in destination system (XI), it does not have remote logon.
    Hope I am clear.
Please let me know, if you need any further information.

  • File to Idoc with error in trfc

    Hello,
    I have a scenario like
    File -> XI -> (idoc) R3
The scenario works fine but yesterday I had a problem with the user in the rfc destination(pwd wrong) which is used for the idoc-adapter. In the sxmb_Moni and the RWB the msg. got an success flag/info but it was not delivered to the r3 because the rfc-destintion could not work.
I know that the idoc-adapter is not part of the adapter-engine and  my understanding was that the adapter send his status back to the integration engine. But in this cause I got no feedback from the adapter. I think this is not Ok or I am wrong ?
    Regards Jami

    Hi Jami,
The reason is simple.....the message is sent from the integration server to the adapter engine which was susessful.but what went wrong is the rfc destination being wrong in the receiver adapter which is not known to the integration server. So in simple words, if things work fine in your integration server then it will not throw an error in your sxmb_moni. So had there been a problem between the message transfer from the integration engine to the adapter engine then it would have surely given you an error in your sxmb_moni(for example you specify some wrong parameters while configuring your receiver IDOC adapter).
But in this case since we dont have an IDOC adapter in the component monitoring (it has adapters which are in the JAVA stack only but IDOC adapter is in the ABAP stack)we can see the error in SM58 only.
I hope this answers your question fully. If any other doubts regarding the same pls do ask me.

  • SC workflow - "set status to released" step tRFC error

    Hi All,
We have a "Shopping Cart without approval" workflow defined in our SRM system.
The workflow is working fine in Develpoment scenario however in Production it is stuck at "set status to released" step.
Checked that step and its a backgroung step with tRFC Object type.
When we click on tRFC Object Type it opens up "Transactinal RFC" screen with msg "error during tRFC call" and tRFC destination field as WORKFLOW_LOCAL_500.
Any help is this regard will be highly appreciated.
    TIA
    Regards,

    Hi RS,
    havent worked on SRM WF's,
check with BASIS on the Automatic WF Settings in SWU3 tcode, as you maintain RFC there, may be the RFC node in SWU3 is not active or something.
    Hope it helps.

  • Trfc error in the source system

    Hi,
I got an error as trfc error in the souirce system,How to proceed regarding this. How to check RFC connections. What are the transaction codes for trfc and to check rfc connections.. please let me know.
    Many Thanks

    Hi,
    We are having some problems.
While loading the data in BI 7.0 from R/3 ECC 6.0, sometimes (not always) IDOCs are getting stuck before coming to BW System.
The job always finishes successfully from R/3 side but before coming to BI, IDOCs are getting stuck and we manually have to push them into BI System.
How  to avoid the situation of IDOCs getting stuck and what could be the possible reasons.
    Please guide.

  • RFC 2 File Error in RFC sender: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException

    Hello,
I'm sending data asynchronously from R3 to a file through XI, I've got the RFC destination (in R3) and sender RFC channel (in XI) configured and tested. Working fine.
Then in my report I've got the following code that sends 1 string and 4 internal tables 2 to XI:
      CALL FUNCTION 'Z_RFC_ENVIAR_DATOS_PSP'
        IN BACKGROUND TASK DESTINATION 'SAP_2_XI'
        EXPORTING
          RUTA                       = p_ruta
        TABLES
          IT_DEMANDA           = p_gt_demanda
          IT_STOCKS              = lt_stocks
          IT_CUARENTENAS   = lt_cuarent
          IT_COMPRAS           = lt_repartos.
      COMMIT WORK.
I've done that king of connection several times and allways worked but now I've got that error in the communication channel monitoring at RWB:
Error in processing caused by: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException
And no message is created in XI. What can it be?
    Thanks for your help

    Hi Chen Lin,
The problem is with the adapter but no message is generated yet in XI, so I don't have XML yet.
The RFC sends the data to XI through the RFC destination and at this point something is wrong because that error is produced. The error is visible in both sides, In transaction SM58 at R3 I can see the error that tRFC hasn't been precessed because the ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException.
But if I go to communication channel monitoring I can see the same error too, so that confirms that the communication between R3 and XI works fine but something is wrong and the error don't give me more details

  • CIF to DP Planning Area

    Hello Everbody,
Wishing you all in advance a great year end fun.
Understand you will be in yearend relaxing mood, request quick answers to this.
    Two questions..
    - What is the technical and functional difference between tRFC and CIF.
    Second question related.
I wanted to know if R/3 master data can directly be CIFéd to MPOS (planning object structure). Say the objective is not to use apo data mart objects (which I understand can be done manually or thru something called LIS structures tRFC to extract data from R/3 into cubes first and then then create planning objects and dependent areas, books and views).
Though it is also understood that i can plan on any self-defined characters in DP as planning characters but largely as I imagine, these characters are subsets of Masters of R/3 (what can be possibly more than that), viz. prodt, location, region, sales area, sales org, cutomer, div, channel, custmer grp, sales grp, plant, stor loc, etc etc.. Could some one quote some planning characters thats does not exist in R/3 but may be required for demand planning in any IS scenario (in which case my concerns unfound). The concern is as I gather SNP characters shd match DP planning characteristics as a precondition to release key figures from DP to SNP and back. I tried reading some documentation but didn't quite understand this particular thing.
Does this question (CIF-ing desired master data to MPOS as characters for demand planning makes sense. If so,  how do the key figures flow (logically the key figure values corresponding to a like character combinations in R/3 shd also correspond to the generated like characteristic combinations of MPOS. In this case most key figures may be even empty and and hence irrelevant for supply planning. .. am still reading the help files )
Any additional concepts relevant to this question will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Loknath Rao
    Mumbai, India

    Hi Loknath,
Let me make an attempt to respond to your queries.
    1. RFCs enable you to call and execute predefined functions in a remote system - or in the same system. They manage the communication process, parameter transfer and error handling
tRFC - transactional RFC (Remote Function Call)
    Link to
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm41/helpdata/en/22/042abd488911d189490000e829fbbd/frameset.htm">SAP Help</a>
CIF is the standard Interface which in turn uses qRFC technology for data transfer.
    From <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm41/helpdata/en/84/23efe535644c4d9c92dc1abfcb3310/frameset.htm">SAP Help</a>:
Communication between SAP R/3 and SAP APO is based on the asynchronous transfer technique of queued Remote Function Calls (qRFC). This technique is used when integrating SAP APO with an SAP R/3 System, both for the initial data supply and transfer of data changes (R/3->APO), as well as for the publication of planning results (APO->R/3).
    2. I understand your doubts about using R/3 master data for planning in APO-DP. Characteristic is a datamart object which can be mapped to R/3 Master data like Product (or Material), Location (or Plant), Region, Sales Area, Customer, Division etc. When you CIF the master data from R/3 to APO the corresponding Master Data gets created in APO. However in DP we are working with Characteristics and more importantly "Values" (CVCs = Characteristic Value Combinations) of the characteristics. For exmaple you have CIFed 4 products Produkt1, Produkt2, Produkt3 and Produkt4 to APO. But in APO-DP the characteristic "values" need to be only Produkt1, Produkt2, Produkt3 and Produkt4.
The most important master data in APO-DP is the CVCs - which is unique "values" of all the defined chacateristics in the Master Planning Object Structure. So a typical CVC will be like Produkt1-Customer1-Plant2-SalesArea3 an unique key of the possible master data.
SNP on the other hand needs Product and Location combination (commonly Location Product /SAPAPO/MAT1) master data. As regards mapping DP to SNP, there is a setting to map the custom Product (ZPRODUKT) and Location (say ZLOCATION) characteristic used in DP to the SNP Location-Product Master Data 9AMATNR and 9ALOCNO.
As far as Keyfigures go - it is basically transaction data. Moreover APO-DP uses only Timeseries keyfigures which can not be "filled in" using CIF. CIF transfers transaction data which can be "filled in" only Orderseries type keyfigures which is used in SNP.
    Hope this clarifies your doubt.
While you are exploring and getting good understanding from the Forum posts, suggest if you can compile your learning and put them up in the relevant SCM-APO <a href="https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=5799">SCM-APO Wiki</a> pages.

  • Avoid same TID used multiple times

    Hello everybody,
I have a little problem with transaction id. What I do at the Moment:
I have an JAVA based RFC Client that connects to SAP ECC 6.0 via JCo3. If I have a message for upload to SAP...
    1) ... I request a TID
    2) ... I add the received TID to the iDoc and store that iDoc to a database
    3) ... I send the iDoc (including the TID) to SAP, using the stored TID for the sending-process
I store all the iDoc information in the database to be able to re-send the iDoc - in case of a connection problem or simmilar. Now I had a problem where I managed sending some iDocs twice. Basically I thought ECC would not proceed an iDoc that has an already used TID but it did. I wonder if there is a way to avoid a TID being used multiple times with JCo. Or should it be handled from ECC?
    Thanks for help
    Sebastian

Now I had a problem where I managed sending some iDocs twice. Basically I thought ECC would not proceed an iDoc that has an already used TID but it did. I wonder if there is a way to avoid a TID being used multiple times with JCo. Or should it be handled from ECC?
Please note that in general transactional RFC (tRFC) is used to prevent multiple execution in case of errors, not for successful calls (see for example [sending and executing tRFC LUWs|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/25/bcfa40badbf46fe10000000a1550b0/content.htm]). In essence the TID reference can be deleted by the client and the server once the RFC call was executed successfully. So you cannot use it to prevent sending (and processing) and IDoc multiple times in general.
Now, if we talk about errors for tRFC calls, we do not talk about normal errors in the IDoc processing (i.e. a failed IDoc which might be in status 51 or 56 or something like that). For IDocs it's important to distinguish between creating them on the database and processing the IDocs (in most systems configured to be done in a separate LUW, even if immediate processing is chosen in the partner profile). Most likely you don't want to resend an IDoc once it exists in SAP (as any error handling from then on should be done in SAP).
So TID handling is not build for successful RFCs. This is why you see in some application code provisions to prevent duplicate postings (e.g. issue an error as soon as for example a duplicate reference number is encountered).

  • How to decrease loading time for 0Mat_Plant

    Hi Experts,
I am currently looking to decrease loading time of 0Mat_Plant. I have gone thru performance material available and checked following things listed below :
    Plz note following:
    1) Standard delta is avail but it has been enhanced and there are Z fields. So if i use delta, them I might be missing delta for Field.
2)Can we switch OFF number range SID buffering to avoid memory allocation on daily basis ...somehow through ABAP program?
    3) BUffering can be switched OFF, but there is delta load also alonwith full load. So performance would decrease for delta records. But no of records for Full load is 188000 and for delta is just 1700 around. SO will this helps in decreasing overall time? Any idea?
Load is taking around 90 minutes in my system (Full Load)..
I m not clear abt data package size and if it will help me or not..
    What more can we do??
Any help would be appreciated and points would be assigned......
    Thanks in advance

    1) Loading time is only for 0mat_plant..
    2) R/3 job finishes quickly....no prob seems to be with this..

  • Process chain load failure

    Hi experts,
A delta process chain which schedules the data to a dso
    through infopackge daily failed.
    Load was unsuccesfull.
    The error message is:
Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Errors occurred
Data Package 000001 : sent, not arrived
Info IDoc 3 : sent, not arrived ; Data passed to port OK
Info IDoc 4 : sent, not arrived ; Data passed to port OK
    How to rectify this error.
And also how to repeat a process chain for which the delta load was failed. This is first time i am handling a process chain.
    Regards,
    Bhadri M.

    Hi......
Is it failing everyday.......no one has taken any action........I mean no one has rectify the failed previous failed loads......
Or you mean to say that...........first time it is failing.........then after repeating...it is getting successfull.........I think all the previous failed loads are already rectified........check the log..........
Actually this error means TRFC are stucked.........check in SM58...........may be everyday it is due to the same issue since.....at this particular point of time.........no of jobs is huge.......due to which system performance is getting effected......and TRFC is getting stucked.............
If all the previous loads are already rectified.............then for today's load..........delete the request from the target after making the QM status red...........then repeat the load from IP scheduler............
But as per my knowledge..........previous loads are rectified.........otherwise next delta load will not star.........it will give a pop up Last delta was incorrect...........
    Hope this helps.........
