Error in updating Cloud Application Manager

Adobe Application Manager begins to launch then each time it seeks to update and fails. The message is: "We've encountered the following issues: The remote server is not responding in a proper manner. Please retry after a few minutes."
This has been weeks now. Help. I need to get into my work asap.

Hi Berrytiffany81,
You can rename OOBE folder to OOBE.old and then download the Adobe creative cloud tool.
Location of OOBE
In Windows
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
and
C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
In Mac
Macintosh HD/computer/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
After renaming this you can login to www.creative.adobe.com. Under the tab 'Download Center' you will find an app called 'Adobe Creative Cloud'
just download and install this app this is the upgraded version of Adobe application manager.
Thanks
Kapil

  • Error code updating Adobe Application Manager

How do I get Adobe Application Manager to update, it either fails or I get Error code A12E1

    Hi pawphoto,
Open Activity Monitor on Mac (It's the the Utilities folder in Applications)/ Task Manager on Windows
Look for "AAM Updates Notifier" in the list of processes (sorting by process name helps)
Highlight it and then click on "Quit Process" or "End Process", say yes to the warning
    Quit Actiivty Manger/ Task Manager
    Retry the install
    Hope this helps.
Please let me know if you face any problem.

  • Creative Cloud Application Manager error/unable to update Lightroom

I am currently on a Mac and my Adobe Creative Cloud Application Manager (AAM) is having some issues.
I ran the update this morning when I heard that camera raw had been updated.  The updated completely successfully for camera raw.
AAM is showing that my current version of Lightroom is 4.4.  When launching the Lightroom application it is still showing that it is 4.3 and that the update for 4.4 is available.  I checked the application manager in OSX and it shows that the current version is indeed still 4.3.
Since I am using creative cloud and not stand alone products, I thought that the AAM would update my programs and why is the AAM not updating my Lightroom from 4.3 to 4.4.  Is it because camera raw updated and it is erroneously reporting that Lightroom has been updated?
I have never used a beta or RC version of lightroom on this computer, only final products and updates that have been provided with creative cloud.
Is Lightroom a program that you have to manually update outside of creative cloud application manager? That doesn't make sense to me since it is one of the programs included with the subscription and was installed with the application manager.
My hopes are that I'm not the only one having this issue and by posting this Adobe becomes aware of this.

    Thanks for the reply.
To clarify for the community and to make sure I understand you (Adobe Staffer) correctly you are saying right now the current fix action (update path) is for us to update the same way we were if this was a stand alone lightroom install outside of creative cloud and seperate from the Adobe Application Manager.  Which is downloading the 427MB file from the Adobe website and installing/updating?
I just want to verify before I do this and it causes future conflicts with my subscription and future updates.
    Thanks for the help.

  • My Cloud applications manager quit and I can"t get updates.

My Cloud applications manager quit and I can't get updates. Windows explorer keeps shutting it down. How do I remedy the situation.

    Hi S1Nov,
    I would try
    - Restart the computer
    - Try getting the updates with all applications closed except the Adobe Application Manager
    - If issue persists try closing applications in the system tray by right clicking on their icons and choosing Close or Quit and then applying the updates again.

  • I can't update my application manager.

I have a one year commitment with Adobe and I can't update my application manager to download another program that I need. How can I solve this problem? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Which operating system are you on? Which program are you trying to download and is it listed in AAM? I ask because Premiere Pro and After Effects only run on 64-bit systems and Lightroom will not run on Windows XP.
If you are on a 64-bit system running Windows 7 or Mac OS X 10.6.8 or greater than here are the steps to re-install AAM.
Run the Adobe Cleaner Tool and remove the Creative Cloud Installer part of the Adobe Application Manager (AAM). I have posted the steps here with screen shots:
    Mac OS X: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4726312#4726312#4726312#4726312
    Windows: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4726414#4726414#4726414
Then download and install AAM again using this link http://www.adobe.com/applicationmanagerpatch/index.html.
You should then be able to download and install the program you need.

  • Muse Install Fails Using Cloud Application Manager

Muse Installation fails using Cloud Application Manager with following error message:
"A beta version of this product exists on the computer.  Please quit and uninstall that version before continuing"
I cannot find in reference to any beta version in uninstaller even though I do believe I had the beta installed previously.
    Thanks
    Don

I had the same problem today. After the failed installation I clicked on the "Adobe Muse CCM" icon on my desktop then opened the Adobe Muse folder inside. Within that there's a folder called "AdobeMuse4.0-mul" with the installer inside. I double clicked this and Muse installed without a hitch. (I'm on a Mac).
