Can anyone help me plz?
thx

When I either try to update iTunes or uninstall, I get a dialog box that says:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."
Apparently, it is looking for iTunes.msi.
It's rather incredible that there are no resources available to fix this.

  • Error in updating iTunes to 10.1.2

Using the apple updater it's fine until it gets to install, which it will do for about a minute, then an error message will come up saying "Error occurred while installing the update" if problem persists install manually (which doesn't work)
This has happened practically every time I've tried to update iTunes, through a number of updates on different laptops and computers, I normally wait a few days then it'll work, but they seriously need to sort this out, any suggestions will be much appreciated, Alex

  • Error while update iTunes

This has happened several times and I have yet to figure out why. Whenever I update iTunes it receives a Bonjour Service 100 ID error. It fully states:
540: ERROR: read_msg errno 10054 (An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)
The update service says that if this continues to go into Tools>Downloads and try a manual install. BUt I can't find those choices anywhere in iTunes. I feel so smart right now.
I have no idea what to do. The computer that is having the ploblem is a Gateway NV53, AMD Athlon II 2.0GHz, 4GB memory, Windows 7 64-bit Home edition. There's no viruses or trojans.

  • Re: Error message updating itunes from 7.0.2 to 7.1.1 Gear driver (AspiWDM)

I get error messages continuously when updating itunes. The error message I'm getting is: "Unable to install the GEAR driver set at this time. The GEAR AspiWDM used by the Gear driver set is scheduled to be deleted during the next system reboot. Please reboot the system and run itunes again." I've done this numureous times with no resolve.
I've read allot of 7.1.1 install problems but never ran accross this one. Does the 7.1.1 upgrade for itunes have clitches in the software? With 2500 songs and 20 movies currently on itunes and my ipod, I would hate to lose so much at this point or at all. Anybody, please give me your feedback or potential resolution to this problem. Thanks

  • Error when updating iTunes (Windows 7)

This morning, I got another notice to update iTunes on a Win 7 machine. The download seemed to go smoothly, but twice the installation failed with little information about why it failed. The error box suggested I try download only and install manually.
Okay, I've tried that. Again, the download went well, but then a Windows Explorer box opened with not one, but FOUR files on display.
AppleApplicationSupport (type: Windows Installer Package), 32,312 kb
AppleMobileDeviceSupport (type: Windows Installer Package), 10.060 kb
iTunes (type: Windows Installer Package), 68,852 kb
    SetupAdmin (type: application), 76 kb
I don't know where to go from this point, but I threw caution to the wind and double-clicked iTunes Windows Installer Package. It went to work until I got another error message: "Error writing to file: C:\Config.Msi\1279ed.rbf.  Verify that you have access to that directory."
I ran the repair thing on the Apple Software Updater and tried again, but with the same results. "Errors occurred ... . If the problem persists, choose Tools > Download Only and try installing manually."
Huh? I hesitate to hit the Retry button. My experience tells me that just brings up the same error. Can someone help me decipher this mumbo-jumbo, please. For one thing, I can see nothing to guide me for "installing manually." That list of four items: Where do I begin? Do I have to install each package, one at at time? Why is it so complicated?

I don't know where to go from this point, but I threw caution to the wind and double-clicked iTunes Windows Installer Package. It went to work until I got another error message: "Error writing to file: C:\Config.Msi\1279ed.rbf.  Verify that you have access to that directory."
Are you running Kaspersky security software on that PC? I tend to identify that message with Kaspersky interfering with the install.
If there is Kaspersky on board, we should try some general-principles getting-past-security-software-interference troubleshooting.
Download and save a fresh copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (32-bit installer file) or iTunes64Setup.exe (64-bit installer file) to your Hard drive. (Don't run the install on line, and don't start the install just yet.)
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Restart the PC. After the PC restarts do not open any applications. Disconnect from your network and/or the internet. Now switch off all your security software (firewall, antivirus, antispyware).
Now start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) file you downloaded earlier.
Reenable all security software prior to reconnecting to your network and/or the internet.
Any better luck with the security software shut down?

  • Error -3231 updating Itunes Match

I I keep getting an unknown error (-3231) from iTunes. Does anyone know what this is? I tried all suggestion and nothing worked.

It appears Apple is having server problems. Check out these current threads of people reporting same issue:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6355061?tstart=0
    and also this one:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6352047?tstart=0
The problem we have is that Apple has been completely silent on the issue and won’t admit or publicly say there is an issue. Those of us who have called tech support, get the usual steps to perform and then when that doesn’t work, the agent says something like “let me check with my coworkers if there are any known issues”.
Best we can all do is to keep reporting it to tech support / feedback until they take it seriously.

  • Update iTunes to 10.2.2: Quicktime problem.

When I try to update iTunes to 10.2.2 it won't install - I get an error message telling me that the installation of Quicktime failed, and iTunes requires Quicktime.
I have just separately downloaded and installed the latest version of Quicktime, that worked without problem, but iTunes still won't update with the same error message. Any ideas why Quicktime will install on its own but not as aprt of the iTunes package?

I was having the same issue on my 64-bit laptop, and using the download-only version from the apple software updater didn't solve the problem, but going into Quicktime, and looking for updates there did solve the problem. I would recommend giving that a try.

  • Encountered an error while updating iTunes

Yesterrday I have updated my iMac to Lion. Then I did a software update and there are two updates one of them is iTunes 10.4. But it gives me an error:
installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail
I have also tried to download the iTunes from apple.com as .dmg but I still get the same error.
I have repaired permissions and verify disks. But none of these solved my problem.
    Any help?

I had this idea in mind & it worked... I logged in as GUEST and updated everything.. it worked...
What do you think is the problem then? :S

  • Dotmacsyncclient.exe - Entry Point Not Found error after updating iTunes

    Here is the error message:
The entry point SQLite3filecontrol could not be found in the library SQLite3.dll
Following the last update of iTunes on my PC (running Windows 7 x64), I'm getting the same error message again and again. It's not specific to an action that I perform, It is not appearing at regular intervals.
I could not find any solution on these boards yet. Here is the few things I have already tried to fix the issue :
    - Download SQLite3.dll and copy it into C:\Windows\System32
    Didn't fix anything
    - Copy that dll file from the iTunes folder location like by entering the following command into a command prompt :
    xcopy "%ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\sqlite3.dll" %windir%\system32 /y
    Didn't fix anything
I have not tried to reinstall iTunes because I think that I've read some people saying that it did not helped.
Last info, I am using MobileMe. Don't know if it is related.
Anyway It would be nice if someone could throw some ideas on this thread.
    Thanks

Since Apple apparently doesn't know what a Windows-based PC IS, I'll throw you folks a bone...
If you're getting the error with SQLite3.dll, do a search for the file... grab the one out of the Common Files folders and put it into C:\Windows\SysWoW64\ folder.
    Reboot and voila.
I just did that on this machine and the issue hasn't reappeared. Can't guarantee it'll work for you, but it appears to have for me.

  • New ipod nano and error in updating itunes and quicktime (error 1905)

this is really annoying me, i have itunes 6.0 or 6.1 or something, and i recently purchased an ipod nano.it said the new nano was only compatable with itunes 7.1, so i went to apple.com and downloaded it. it took two hours to download the set-up for itunes 7.1. i ran the set-up, and then in the middle of it this error came up:
Error 1905.Module C:/ProgramFiles/Quicktime/GTUIPanelControl.dll failed to unregister. HRESULT -2147220472. Contact your support panel.
i pressed okay twice, and it went through the rest of the process and it says this:
    Could not open key:
HKEYLOCALMACHINE/Software/Classes/QuickTime/CLSID. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personel.
all of this is very frustrating, but after i click "ok", it reads this:
The installation of QuickTime did not complete successfully.iTunes requires QuickTime.
Please help!i would like to utilize this ipod sooner than later, obviously.
    thank you

I used that download, which seems to have worked for some people, but not others. It has something to do with downloading a VBScript. Anyway, I did this, but when I tried to complete its download, it said "Error registering the OCX C:\WINDOWS\system32\vbscript.dll"
I then tried to run that file through Run, typing in "regsvr32 %SystemRoot%\system32\vbscript.dll"
I was told it would "reregister" it. Unfortunately, I was met with other error message. ""DllRegisterServer in c:\WINDOWS\system32\vbscript.dll failed. Return code was 0x80004005"
I was told that it had something to do with not having adminstrative privilegdes. I've dealt with these "adminstrative priviledges" before when Norton refused to work, and its no happy mess. But if someone can shed any light on the situation, that would be great.
