Error in Vendor Creation

Hi,
In Vendor creation , while selecting the Country as United States ( US) in Vendor address the following error message is displayed
"Communication error with the external tax system (VERTEX_MS0018)
Message no. TAX_TXJCD864 "
How to solve this issue?????

Check the following entries.
OBCO : Check the schema TAXUSX (VERTEX Standard Jurisdiction Code)
OBCP : Select the costing sheet TAXUSX, check the tax jurisdiction codes
IMG>Financial accounting new > Financial accounting Global settings > Tax on sales/puchases >basic settings > External tax calculation.
Take FI consultant help make necessary settings.

The number of recon accts to be defined is dependant on various factors, like how your management wants to see the reports.. whether they want to classify the cost based on CO object class or by Co types etc..
However the basic config you got to follow is:
1. Activate Recon accts (if you have created CO area newly, it would be active).
    use T.code: KALA
2. Assignment of Recon document type to the Controlling area.
    T.code: OKKP
3. Creating clearing accts (that you want to us! e for reconciliation. During FI-Co recon.. inter company clearing accounts will be automatically credited or debited and now you need to create offset acct which will show up in P&l acct).
    Acct determination set up thru T.code: OBYA
4. Maintain accts for Automatic Recon posting.
    T.code OBYB
5. Assign Number ranges to Recon activity.
    Tcode OK13

In MIRO i am getting error message " vendor is not invoicing party in STO

Dear All,
i create one STO MM. This is plant to plant transfer STO. i entered few conditions. for this conditions i mentioned Vendor in condition detail.
at the time of MIRO i am getting error message vendor is not invoicing party in PO ( STO).
i checked the vendo master. all partner function are maintained.
so please guide me

HI,
Check u had done the below steps,
Create STO and input the freight/delivery costs in PO and assign the Transporter or Freight Vendor to the conditions by clicking on "Details" button in Conditions Tab
For that you have to do following settings;
Go to SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Define Document Types > Here select "UB" and copy to a new PO Doc type.
In SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Conditions > Define Price Determination Process > Define Schema Determination > Determine Schema for Stock Transport Orders > Here assign Calculation Schema "RM2000" i.e. Stock Transfer Document to Schema Grp Pur. Org, STO Type (New One) and Supplying Plant.
Calculation Schema "RM2000" has condition type P101 which will pick up the MAP of supplying plant automatically during creation of STO in ME21N ("Conditions" Tab).
You can create new freight/delivery cost conditions in M/06 and assign in pricing procedure "RM2000" in M/08
After STO, do Outbound delivery in VL10D, then GR in MIGO and then go for LIV w.r.t. STO in MIRO
Here select "Planned Delivery Cost" and do necessary procedure.

My Vendor creation screen ends in withholding data,and the screen having no control.Only way to exit.Now we are unable to create vendor codes,please suggest.

When you create vendor has 3 section .1) General 2) company code and 3) Purchasing Org .
IF you want to create all three segment then you need to use Xk01 and you need to enter 3 Mandatory information .
Vendor number if external , comapny code and purchasing oorg .
Please see below screen Each of heading under each segment has tab and screen like General segment has tabs address and control etc
if you are unable to creat then please let us know the error.

Dear Friends,
I'm getting the below error while Good Receipt for STO(intra company through MM route).
Error: Maintain vendor for Excise Invoice
Message ID: 4F185
Process overview:
1. STO created in receiving plant
2. Material issue through MB1B from supplying plant.
3. Excise invoice created with ref. to Good issue doc. through J1IS in supplying plant.
4. While GR in receiving plant we are facing this issue.
Pleasse help me to resolve this issue.

Hello
For STO , you have to maintain both the issuing plant and the supplying plant as both vendor and customer.And at the time of vendor creation, enter the customer number for that vendor in the vendor master record.And also maintain the vendor CIN details at the time of VMR creation and in J1ID.

FI Archiving - System error: Customer/vendor line item not on OI basis

While archiving FI Documetns using object FI_Documnt, I am getting message System error: Customer/vendor line item not on OI basis for few non archivable documents. Is it like these also open items and can not be able to archive them. Or what is the root cause of these error message.

Hi Adisha,
This error pertains to the accounting fundamentals and SAP does not have anything to do with this....you ask yourself that if you were not using SAP and simlar problem came your way what would you have done...this has no solution...
Either you wait for the next invoice with big amount but which seems bit impractical..
In this we really need to consult the Accounting Standards to see what it could allow.

Check each of the following :
the spelling of the table or view name.
that a view is not specified where a table is required.
that an existing table or view name exists.
Contact the database administrator if the table needs to be created or if user or application privileges are required to access the table.
Also, if attempting to access a table or view in another schema, make certain the correct schema is referenced and that access to the object is granted.

Error during PO creation "Total BED % rate exceeds 100 % "

Its concerned to Indian Excice.
Error during the creation of PO is " Total BED % rate exceeds 100 % " ,
( Message no. 8I453).
And you pls note in J1ID its 16% maintained for that perticular chapter id and its 100% for BED in tax code.
Can you pls tell me the reason for this error.

362 is not maintained for BASB,but its maintained for condition type JMO1(IN:A/P BED Deductable) & JMO2(IN: A/P BED non deduct )in <b>AltCTy</b> field.
And For BASB 605 is maintained in the field AltCBV.
Can you Pls explain the significance of this alternative calculation type.

I am getting an error in Jcos creation.This is tyhe error I am facing.I checked evrything.Evrything seems ok.But i am getting the belwo error.

1. Run the adpreclone.pl on the apps & db tier.
2. run the autoconfig on the apps and db tier.
3. shut down the production instance.

Check alert<SID>.log file for more details about the error.
It looks like that the source database was not cleanly shutdown before copying the files to the target node. Please do the following and check then:
SQL> connect / as sysdba
SQL> startup mount;
SQL> recover database using backup controlfile until cancel;
-- type CANCEL
SQL> alter database open resetlogs; If the above does not help, then shutdown the source database normally (make sure it is down), re-copy the files and start the cloning process again.

Workflow for Vendor Creation through a portal.

Hi All Workflow Experts,
I have a scenario here.In my project vendor is created through a portal.On submit button from portal the workflow is to be triggered.I have to design the workflow process.So can you please guide me through what all should i consider while i design this workflow?
This is my first workflow assignment so if you explain in detail it will be a great help.
I will just pen down what all scenarios i can think of:
1.Start workflow after vendor creation or modification.
2.Check whether approver are maintained in Org structure through standard FMu2019s.
3.Check If approvers are maintained ?
4.If yes,approve or reject the vendor.
5.If no,get the agents from the custom table who can take an action on this.
This is what i can think of.
Please guide me.

The corresponding BO related with the vendor creation or changing is LFA1 but this Business object doeanot have any events that are related to Create and Change , so try to create a ZLFA1 and add you own events or make use of delegation concept where you will create a delegation for LFA1.
For your first isssue
Start workflow after vendor creation or modification
EXIT_SAPMF02K_001 Vendors: User Exit for Checks prior to Saving is the user exit where in you can call the workflow when ever you change or create , because this user exit will trigger when ever you try to save the vendor. so i think you can make use of this user exit
For your second Issue
Check whether approver are maintained in Org structure through standard FMu2019s.
Make use of SWI_GET_USERS_OF_ORG_UNIT this fucntion mdoule to get the user of the ORG unit
or you can create a Rule(for determining the agents dynamically) to find the approvers.

Oracle R12 Clone failing with RC-00118 Error occurred during creation of...

Im encountering the above error message i have seen the below thread which looks like the same issue, i was wondering if someone could confirm if the clone process requires an off-line backup on the source system for the clone process to work. Currently i'm using a tape backup which runs overnight, the system is up at the time of backup.

thanks for quick response, its a hot backup.
the steps ive followed are
1. adpreclone on source
2. apps,db,inst directories deleted on destination. (after services have of course been shutdown)
3. oracle variables removed from path
4. backup restored from tape
5. deleted program files/oracle/inventory directory
6. on cmd window run set PERL5LIB=
followed by perl adcfgclone.pl dbTier
is there anything ive missed?

It's a sql DBMS, and the default user language is spanish, during the installation was the same issue.
The first installation user language was english and everything was ok, then the default user anguage was set to spanish and the jobs crashed because an english format was sent to the al_history table. I tried to recreate the repository and an error ocurrer during the creation.
has someone faced the same problem?

what is the version of Data Services ? if its 12.2, then there was a bug that is fixed in 12.2 SP1 (12.2.1.0), apply the SP1 or it would be better if you apply the latest fix pack for 12.2 i.e 12.2.1.2
the problem was with date format used in insert was different than the user's default date format.
