I have followed this Blog

and steps taken are.
1) Created System with R/3 Credentials and System is Up and running.
System Name:: CoP
System_Aliase:: CoP_Aliase
2) Now i have created one WebDynPro Iview and on the Application Parameter Page which is in the wizard of Iview creation i have done thease entries.
System:: Cop_Aliase
Namespace:: sap
Application Name ZRAH_TUTORIAL2
and created Iview now When i see Preview of this Iview am getting this Error.
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : N/A
Component Name : N/A
Application URL ':///sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ZRAH_TUTORIAL2/;sap-ext-sid=CiOljEJTkrTNS5ZSeEZtwA%3D%3DY3EU8GM3SofqGxk%2B6%2BWHWg%3D%3D' is not valid! Please check the protocol and host entries for system 'CoP_Aliase'..
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
What can be the cause of it and how can i get rid of it.
Any help  will be highly Appretiated and will be rewarded for sure.
Thanks and Regards.
Vinit

Hi Vinit,
It seems that there should have been issue with the connection from portal to your ECC system.
Can you please close the thread and also post the solution so that it is useful for others.

  • How to call Java WebDynpro iViews from Portal (Portal Content Directory)

    Hello everybody,
    I am trying to call a Java WebDynpro iView, which was created within the Enterprise Portal and is stored in the portal content directory (pcd).
    I have created an HTML-iView in VC, where I have put in the pcd-link into the default-url field (pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/com.sap.pct.cprxrpm.ppmdc/com.sap.pct.cprxrpm.iviews/com.sap.pct.cprxrpm.iviews_cprojects/com.sap.pct.cprxrpm.cpr_projects). This iView is calling the cProjects WebDynpro Application. But after I run my model, the portal page is running and running, but nothing happens.
    I did the same with transactional iView, which was also created in the Portal before. I have also created an HTML-iView in VC, where I have put in the pcd-link into the default-url field (pcd:portal_content/IBU_content/SAP_for_Service_Provider/com.sap.pct.issp.ps.professional_services/com.sap.pct.issp.prs.iviews/com.sap.pct.issp.prs.display_sd). This is working fine!
    What I also tried is to call another VC-Model with an HTML-iView. Here I have put-in into the default-url field the pcd-location of my VC-model (pcd:portal_content/IBU_content/SAP_for_Service_Provider/com.sap.pct.issp.vcmodels/com.myComp.myProduct.1DM9.CreateEngagement/com.myComp.myProduct.iviews/com.myComp.myProduct.1G62.Cprojects_neu). This is also running fine!
    Now I do not understand the difference between this three objects. There are all iViews within the portal but the WebDynpro iView is not callable through a HTML-iView in VC.
    Could you help me in this case? Your help is very appreciated!
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards,
    Aylin.

    Hi Marcel,
    when you mean the preview within the portal, yes, it is working fine.
    URL is not the way to solve my problem. I am working with IDES-Systems. This is our Demo System within SAP. I have to build my VC-Model in a Master IDES-System which will be transported than into the other IDES-Systems. The URL of the WD is not the same in the other systems. It is changing depending on the several Sysems. But the pcd-location is in all systems the same. Therefore I have to specify the pcd-location of the application.
    Is there a restriction with WD within VC?
    If we can do some kind of a netmeeting, I can show you my problem exactly.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Aylin.

  • WebDynpro iViews and Portal Eventing

    Hi All,
    I am planning to prepare a proof of concept with following requirements.Can you please give me hints and resources to prepare this in 2 days?
    1)Interaction between iViews using EP eventing.
    2)Exploring how and what kind of data can be passed from one iView to the another (String , Java Objects etc)
    3)Keeping track of various events of EP especially finding out if we can track when the user session is invalidated by the Portal so that we can free objects from memory.
    4)The sample code should have 2 to 3 iViews interacting with each other and passing data.With detailed description of each steps from coding till deployment to the EP.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Noaman,
    You can use EPCM for eventing between iviews in portal. Also we can use the same for communication between Webdynpro and EP applications.
    You can pass parameters using client data bag. The code for sender ....
    var an='Hello';
    EPCM.storeClientData("urn:namesapce","key",an);
    EPCM.raiseEvent("urn:namesapce","eventname");
    Code at the reciver....
    function fn_selection()
    var info=EPCM.loadClientData("urn:namesapce","key");
    document.myform.name.value=info;
    EPCM.subscribeEvent("urn:namesapce","eventname",fn_selection);
    This is the javascript code for triggering and subscribing  events in between iviews.
    Hope this Helps

    Should i create any JCo for the R/3 communication in VC?
    With Regards,
    Balachander

    Hi Balachander,
      If you want communicate with R/3 in VC you need to create the portal system so that you can able to access BAPI's or RFC's

  • Error using BSP iviews with Portal NW04s SP10

    Has anyone tried using a BSP iview on the new NW04s Portal?  After we installed the NW04s SP10 Portal, BSP iviews are not working.  The error is that the iview is N/A.
    Any thouhgts?

    Hello Leandro,
    Look SSO is the process to that u have to specify Credentaials only once and u can connect to backend system without giveing Credentials again.
    Now the basic Thing is that user that u have loged in portal and User in Ur Backend Should be same for SSO to Work.
    once SSO is configured properly then u can call ur BSP application's from back end without Giveing Credentials again for backend login.
    Hope this help's

  • Webdynpro iview form portal on internet

    Hi ,
    I 've a strange problem .
    I'm using NWDS04 SP13, EP6.0 SP13.
    Problem
    1) I 'm pulling web dynpro iviews to the portal.
    2)They are working fine on LAN,WAN.
    3)when i 'm accessing them from internet IP(real ip)
    first screen is coming with all the data.
    when i click on the button or drop down
    problem
    ===============
    Application expired .need to refresh .
    Although i 've set the expiration time 1hr.
    problem is coming only through internet .
    i 've to made some changes or ??
    plz help very very Urgent
    Regards
    Vikas

    Hi,
    I can think of 2 possible reasons
    1. Firewall between portal in internet and R/3 in intranet. In this case you need to open up firewall ports for the iView to work.
    2.. The domain of Portal and the domain of R/3 system may be different. SSO will not work. Try user mapping
    Hope this helps.

  • Portal Runtime Error in WD iViews during iView personalization

    Hi,
    I am using SAP's MDM iViews with some custom webdynpro application iViews in my netweaver portal 7.0.  When I click on the personalize 'apply' button of any iView, the whole page gets refreshed. The standard SAP MDM iViews gets rendered without any problems.  But the custom webdynpro iViews throw portal runtime error as shown below:
    Portal Runtime Error
    An exception occurred while processing your request
    Exception id: 02:25_17/12/08_0106_18297950
    Can anybody throw some light on this?
    Regards,
    Yuvaraj SG

    Hi Yuvaraj,
    Assign the user super admin role and see if the page opens fine or not.
    If the page opens fine, remove the super admin role and check the permissions for the custom web dynpro applications.....
    and see if enduser check box is marked or not.
    And at the same time check the permissions of the content provided by SAP folder and your custom folder where you have similar roles or not.
    For this navigate to System Administration - Permissions - Portal Content
    For detailed analysis check nwa as suggested by Bala.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers-
    Pramod

  • Content Alignment in webdynpro iView based on user language

    Hi,
    We have a webdynpro application which has a search screen
    (Arabic as well as English), based on the user language setting in Portal UME, the respective language text with options are displayed.
    This webdynpro application runs on same WAS where Portal is running.
    When we test this application standalone like typing the URL of the webdynpro application, it shows english text with Left to right aligned content in browser for <b>user X with Language as EN</b>.
    When we test this application standalone like typing the URL of the webdynpro application, it shows arabic text with Right to Left aligned content in browser for <b>user Y with Language as Arabic</b>.It works fine when it is stand alone (when we directly run the webdynpro).
    <b>We created a WebDynpro iView in Portal, and we tested with user <i>Y (whose language is set to Arabic),</i> issue is text is properly displayed in Arabic, but the content alignment is left to right, which should be Right to Left</b>.
    Please let me know your solution/thought to the above mentioned issue/problem.
    Thanks
    Senthil

    Hi,
    The webdynpro application works fine (alignment and content is fine)when i access it directly.
    When i create a webdynpro iView and run it inside portal it is not working fine (alignment is LTR instead of RTL)
    I went through the SAP help <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/6e/8aae409567942ae10000000a155106/frameset.htm">RTL Alignment</a>and tried creating new themes and created a new desktop and assigned it to the user. It is still the same with LTR alignment.
    The issue is, why it is not working inside PRT, when it works fine inside WebDynpro Runtime.
    Thanks

    I mean i want it as a role to displayed in my portal.
    what tempalte i have to use while creating iview..
    where i hav  to uplaod this folder (my webDynpro appication) (like a document at bact end or ???)
    please give me step by step solution for this..
    Thank&regards
    Gayathri

    Hi,
    Assuming you have deployed your webdynpro, you simply need to create webdynpro iView in portal.
    Check this simple help documentation on how to create the iView
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/13/b4dc4281de2878e10000000a155106/content.htm
    Once you have created the iView, create a role. Set the entry point of the role to yes.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/f6/29cf3d4f902d10e10000000a114084/content.htm
    Right click on the iView and assign the iView to the role.

  • Calling an Portal Webdynpro iView from another Webdynpro iView - Error

    Hi,
    I have modified the DefaultFramework Page by adding an Alert iView (based on WebDynpro) and assigned this modified framework page to all users. It works fine.
    The Alert iView on the Left hand side (right above the Detailed Navigation) consists of links to different WebDynpro iViews in the same Portal.
    I have used LinkToAction UI element, on event of click
    i am executing this piece of code.
    onActionClick (com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent)
    WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute("ROLES://portal_content/folders/X.Iview", WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE, (String)null, (String)null, WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS, "Called iView Name", (String)null, (String)null);
    I have picked up the iView name from the Portal(exact PCD location).
    It is not working. Once in a while it worked. But now it is not loading at all.
    Please let me know your thoughts on the same.
    Thanks
    Senthil

    Hi,
    Got it solved. User has authorization to execute the page.Their roles were not added in Permission list of that Page.
    Added the roles. Now it works fine.
    Thanks
