VinitHi Vinit,
It seems that there should have been issue with the connection from portal to your ECC system.
Can you please close the thread and also post the solution so that it is useful for others.

Hi
I have an webdynpro application with an input field of data type. Webdynpro generates a button with a nice Calendar.
Well, when I run this application directly, callendar works ok.
But when I run the same application under EP, I got the following java script error when I click in calendar button.
<i>Line: 2224
Char: 26
Error: 'SAPUR_JANUARY' is null or not an object
Code: 0

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ronaldo.Hi,
How did you call this link in EP, Did you use Webdynpro Iview to call your webdynpro application?
Alternative is
You can create an URL Iview and use this link directly. I used to method to call an BSP application it worked perfectly.
ASSIGN POINTS if it helps

Error when copying a webdynpro iview for one environment to an other
I am currently setting up a training environment for test purposes.
I have to copy some webdynpro appplication iview.
I do the export of the i view but unfortunatly when I import my webdynpro Iview, there are many properties in the new system that are missing such as application name which give the link to my java application.
Of course the iview doesn't work.
Do you have an explanation why the properties are missing? A resolution since I try many time the import.
Regards,
JulienHi Julien,
Please check the status of SLD and JCO in content administrator >> Web dynpro in the portal (new enviroment).
then deploy your wd applciation.
then create the transport package - export for webdynpro appplication iview. and import in the new enviorment
Hope this will help you.

Calling an Portal Webdynpro iView from another Webdynpro iView - Error
Hi,
I have modified the DefaultFramework Page by adding an Alert iView (based on WebDynpro) and assigned this modified framework page to all users. It works fine.
The Alert iView on the Left hand side (right above the Detailed Navigation) consists of links to different WebDynpro iViews in the same Portal.
I have used LinkToAction UI element, on event of click
i am executing this piece of code.
onActionClick (com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent)
WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute("ROLES://portal_content/folders/X.Iview", WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE, (String)null, (String)null, WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS, "Called iView Name", (String)null, (String)null);
I have picked up the iView name from the Portal(exact PCD location).
It is not working. Once in a while it worked. But now it is not loading at all.
Please let me know your thoughts on the same.
Thanks
SenthilHi,
Got it solved. User has authorization to execute the page.Their roles were not added in Permission list of that Page.
Added the roles. Now it works fine.
Thanks

Error in WebDynpro with WebServices
Hi all,
Im getting some errors using applications deployed in WEB AS SP9 that runs as a WebDynpro IView in EP.
Running the application as standalone (out of EP) this works fine.
NetWeaver Developer Studio 2.0.9
WebDynpro application using WebServices that access Oracle 8i database in the follow sequence:
WebServices -> Session Bean stateless -> Entity Bean CMP (manage connections; generate sql code, etc.)
In WebDynpro application we import WebService Model by the follow sequence:
New Model - Import Web Service Model - Local Server for WSDL Source - <WebService deployed>
In each WebServices we have created these methods:
findByID(ID);
getAll();
insert(parameters);
remove(ID);
update(parameters);
We guess that the error is generated in Entity Bean because all WebServices generate these errors.

Portal Runtime Error in WD iViews during iView personalization
Hi,
I am using SAP's MDM iViews with some custom webdynpro application iViews in my netweaver portal 7.0. When I click on the personalize 'apply' button of any iView, the whole page gets refreshed. The standard SAP MDM iViews gets rendered without any problems. But the custom webdynpro iViews throw portal runtime error as shown below:
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing your request
Exception id: 02:25_17/12/08_0106_18297950
Can anybody throw some light on this?
Regards,
Yuvaraj SGHi Yuvaraj,
Assign the user super admin role and see if the page opens fine or not.
If the page opens fine, remove the super admin role and check the permissions for the custom web dynpro applications.....
and see if enduser check box is marked or not.
And at the same time check the permissions of the content provided by SAP folder and your custom folder where you have similar roles or not.
For this navigate to System Administration - Permissions - Portal Content
For detailed analysis check nwa as suggested by Bala.
Hope this helps.
Cheers-

ABAP WebDynpro iView with window id problem
We have a custom ABAP webdynpro iView that is part of a dynamic navigation. When the iView loads the following warning message is displayed...
An error occured while starting the iView.
Application
https://<server>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/WebDynproComponent/;sap-ext-sid=J2IlkGCm4WYvxnfaQC8bVgY0oAX5DVVY3z_8GGDYcLow
will run with wrong client window ID!
Do not continue; please report this problem to your system administrator.
Once you click 'Ok' on the warning message....the webdynpro iView is displayed.
How do you not have the message display?
Thanks. If the user is using link from favourites of browser, Ask him to delete it and manually enter the url and Try.
In my case, The user just deleted the saved link from Favorites and tried entering the url manually,
though it is weird it worked.

Calling a Webdynpro Iview from a Web Page
Hi guys we are trying to display a custom webdynpro iview in a web page.
when the user clicks on a link on the left side navigation in the webpage it is supposed to open the webdynpro iview in an Iframe in the same window beside the left navigation area. but we are getting a warning message before the iview is opened.
an error occured while starting the iview Application/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/pb/PageBuilder:jsessionid=(J2EE3062800)ID484538950DB11873745832264248987END will run with a wrong client window ID!
and when we click on ok the iview is displayed in the IFrame
to open the iview we are using an URL of the format
http://<Server>:<Port>/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=navurl://8bc08160d466f592c481da5639ca31e9&NavMode=3
can any one tell me why we are getting this message and how to remove it.Hi Praveen
The iview is assigned to a portal role and we even have some authorisation objects assigned in R3, so only the users who have access to the role should be able to see the iview and the content they see in the iview is limited depending on the assigned authorisation objects.
if we use the link
http://<server_name>/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/myWebDynProProject/Helloapplication
every one will be able to access the iview and they will be able to see all the content.
when the user clicks on the link he should login with his id and password so that the authorisation objects are checked agaist his id. If we use the above link the user will be logged in with a test ID and the authorisation objects will not work. -
'java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError' when displaying ESS webdynpro iviews
Hi,
We are running ECC5 backend & EP6 SP9. I have done the following :
(1) Applied via SDM the XSS components & ESS 60.2 Business Package in EP6
(2) Configured SLD
(3) Create/Maintain necessary Jco Destinations
(4) Create necessary System landscape (SAP_Webdynpro_XSS and etc)
(5) Activated integrated ITS 640 in ECC5
When I try to access any ESS webdynpro iviews from the Portal, for eg the Address iview :
https://Portalhost.domain/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/essusaddr/Per_Address_US

Java webdynpro Iview accessing different SAP system
Hai,
I have created two Java webdynpro Iview for ess leave application, in the Iview application parameter, I have given the below value
IVIEW1
sap-wd-arfc-useSys=SAP_R3_HumanResources:200&sap-wd-arfc-useSys=SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData:200.
IVIEW2
sap-wd-arfc-useSys=SAP_R3_HumanResources:300&sap-wd-arfc-useSys=SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData:300
JCO SAP_R3_HumanResources is mapped to client 100, I have created two more JCO's and the metadata SAP_R3_HumanResources200 & SAP_R3_HumanResources300
We have a CUA system and the client number of this system in 099. Apart from that we have client 100, 200 & 300. My userid is created in client 099 and 200 and Iview "IVIEW1" is assigned to my userid. When I try to access the Iview from portal I am getting a error, I checked the trace file and found the connection is going to client 100.
Then I created my userid in client 100 also and try to access Iview1, its going to client 200 without error.
When I use "SAP_R3_HumanResources:200&sap-wd-arfc-useSys=SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData:200" it looks like system will first connect to SAP_R3_HumanResource and then connects to client 200. Is this behavior normal.
What I want to do is with the "SAP_R3_HumanResources:200&sap-wd-arfc-useSys=SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData:200" I want to access client 200 without creating a id in client 100. Please let me know how to do or is there any other solution to achieve it.
Regards,
H.K.Hayath Basha.HI,
Edit the JCo's, try to point the JCo's to 200 Client.
so that the iview can points to the 200 client right,
May be it will help u,

Hi
I am trying to create a webdynpro iview, but I am confused about parameter.
In order to call my webdynpro application directly I use the following url:
http://fhnt01:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/apon_wd/Apontamentos
For webdynpro iview creation it requires two parameters:
WebDynproNamespace
Application Name
I supposed in this case application name should be "Apontamentos"
And WebDynproNamespace? I tried apon_wd but it did not worked:
500 Internal Error
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Wrong WebDynpro-URL: no application name specified
Thanks.Hi Pankaj,
I read where you were speaking of the Webdynpro Browser...can you tell me what we need to install/configure to make this work? Any of the Webdynpro sections in EP (including in PDK) all bring up Page Not Found messages.
Thanks,
-Kevin
