Error in weblog rss feed

There seems to be an error in the rss feed of the weblogs page.  Is it possible to fix this?  I just got back from vacation and need to catch up.

You can turn on extreme debugging as well. The problem is always with the publisher failing to follow specs; inform them to do so.

  • NSXMLParserError Domain error 26 from RSS feeder

The RSS feeder I got from the App store stopped working today. It has been working perfectly for the last 6 months but now is not refreshing and throwing the above noted error. I am on Mavericks 10.9.5 (with all updates applied). Any ideas as to where I should be looking to resolve this? I have Googled the error but nothing points towards my specific application.
Thank you for any help offered.

Never mind - the problem was one of the feed sources.

  • Error updating the RSS feed "Sent Messages"

I'm getting the following alert message in mail RSS after Upgrade to Lion..
"The RSS feed could not be updated because no associated URL was found. This feed will no longer receive new articles"
Anyone any ideas what this means?

With the change to Apple Support Communities, all the subscriptions were reset.  You'll need to start the RSS feed again.  It can be found on the right side of the page under notifications > View feeds.

    Hi Lasanthajn,
Is this the same setting for other web app ?
Did you put future date and month intentionally ? Sun, January 2016 ?
Did you try putting http://lankacnews.com/sinhala/?feed=rss2 ?

When I want to enter RSS feeds on Nokia X6, it pops up unknown error. The RSS feeds on the contacts bars stopped responding when I want to add or remove contacts RSS feeds. I really hate this type of stupid Symbian phone, too many bugs! I'm planning to move to Android soon.

  • RSS Feeds in Mail - error -

    Hello,
Please help, my RSS feeds in mail and safari will now not work ?!?!? I can this error in Mail when trying to update a feed :
There was an error updating the RSS feed “Apple Hot News”
An error internal to the Publication Subscription framework occurred.
And when I try to view it in Safari I get this :
    Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “feed://images.apple.com/main/rss/hotnews/hotnews.rss”. The error was: “Operation could not be completed. (PubSub error 203.)” (PubSub:203) Please choose Report Bugs to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.
I was wondering if anyone has a solution to this issue, as RSS feeds are crucial to me ????
    Thanks
    Joel

I agree. I have had the RSS feed issue in the Mail app and also in Safari, not updating the RSS counts with viewing. Copying the Pub Sub folder from a "Guest" account into a "shared" area on the drive, so I could later use it to replace my current Pub Sub folder fixed both problems. A great fix.

  • Rss feed folder won't upload in iweb

I know that you cannot have a space in the name of a file that is used in your website because it won't upload.  So instead you need to use a _ or just make the file name one word like "picofme" instead of "pic of me".  I used the included RSS widget to put my blog into my iweb website.  It displays fine in iweb.  I published the site to a folder so that i could upload it to my site (hosted by yahoo) via Cyberduck or Filezilla.  Everything uploads expet for the RSS blog widget.  The space where the feed should appear is blank on my published site.  As I'm uploading my site files everything uploads except for these errors:
Scripts/Widgets/RSS Feed/arrow-link.png: No such file or directory.
Scripts/Widgets/RSS Feed/error-glyph.png: No such file or directory.
Scripts/Widgets/RSS Feed/Icon.png: No such file or directory.
blackoutrecordings/Scripts/Widgets/RSS Feed/localizedStrings.js: No such file or directory.
/Scripts/Widgets/RSS Feed/RSS-placeholder-default.png: No such file or directory.
It all seems to be related to the RSS Feed folder.  How can i fix this?  I tried renaming the folder before i uploaded and it didn't help either.
    thanks you!

I just used the code they gave me & plugged it into a HTML Snippet
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://output84.rssinclude.com/output?type=js&id=411293&hash=a8a6a8054cb7b82b437 63b4527adf319"></script>

  • Mail RSS Feed Problem

Hello, I've got a problem with my RSS feeds in Mail and it's driving me nuts. I had a number of feeds which were all working properly and suddenly my craigslist feeds stopped. All previous and new feeds still work but the craigslist feeds give me the error "There was an error updating the RSS feed “santabarbara.craigslist.org” - The requested URL was not found on this server."
I thought it might be a problem with craigslist but their feed works fine in my Firefox Live Bookmarks. It only appears to not be working in Mail. It was around the time of the 10.6.4 update but I can't be certain. I'm thinking it could be some sort of cache issue for just that site but don't know how to check.
One of the feeds is http://santabarbara.craigslist.org/med/index.rss
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Rob

When you say you tried Safari & Firefox to read feeds from CraigsList, do you mean just loading the RSS URL's (e.g. http://santabarbara.craigslist.org/med/index.rss ) into the browser directly? For myself, CraigsList RSS feeds don't load in Safari 5 either but it does seem to work via Firefox 3.6.3. I bet this might have been the WebKit (Safari 5) update that broke something.
And yes, my CraigsList RSS feeds broke in Apple Mail too (which is what brought me here). I filed a Radar bug ( rdar://problem/8161076 ) to alert Apple internal people.

  • Problem with RSS feeds in AppleMail

If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. I have several RSS feeds that come in through AppleMail. Every so often, it stops receiving all of the feeds (I get an explanation point next to the the RSS header). After a day or so, it will start receiving feeds again. I have no problem getting e-mails... just my RSS feeds. Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks!

I have just experienced the same problem with RSS feeds through AppleMail. A couple of days ago (just after I had upgraded to Aperture 3 - not sure if that's relevant) the exclamation mark appeared next to all the Mailboxes for my RSS feeds, and has not disappeared. If I click on the exclamation mark I get the message "there was an error updating the RSS feed 'Apple Hot News'. The RSS feed is temporarily unavailable because an internal error occurred".
I have tried shutting down, and deleting the RSS plist - with no effect.
Other details - the problem exists on a MacBook Pro, running Sno (v 10.6.2 - all updates applied) and Apple Mail v4.2. I can send / receive regular email. I also have an iMac (also running Sno 10.6.2 and Apple Mail v4.2) - RSS feeds work fine on this machine. Both machines use the same wireless broadband router.
    Grateful for any help. Thanks

  • RSS feeds stopped working in Safari and Mail

In Safari, if I click on the RSS box in the webpage address line I get the following error "Safari can't open the page.... The error is: 'the operation couldn't be completed. Operation not permitted' (NSPOSIXErrorDomain:1)". I have tried several websites (Apple, BBC, CNN, ...) - all with the same error
I have a similar problem with RSS feeds through AppleMail. An exclamation mark appears next to all the Mailboxes for all my RSS feeds. This used to work until a few days ago - the only upgrade that I have recently installed is Aperture 3. If I click on the exclamation mark I get the message "there was an error updating the RSS feed 'Apple Hot News'. The RSS feed is temporarily unavailable because an internal error occurred".
I can send / receive regular email without problem
I have tried restarting / shutting down, repairing disk permissions, selecting the 'open in 32-bit mode' for Safari, deleting the Safari.plist and the Safari.RSS.plist files, deleting and reinstalling the RSS Mail feeds - all with no effect. If I log in using a different account, I still get the problem.
I also have an iMac, also running Sno 10.6.2, Safari 4.0.4 and Apple Mail v4.2 (and upgraded to Aperture 3 at the same time as my MacBook). RSS feeds work fine on this machine in both Mail and Safari
Both computers run largely identical applications - iWork, Aperture and Intego Security Barrier. Intego is configured identically on both computers. The Security settings under System Preferences are also identical. Both machines use the same wireless broadband router. Both computers are sync'ed via MobileMe (which seems to be working fine)
I'm at a loss as to what to try next. Grateful for any help. Thanks

    Hi rickb
good work on what you've tried so far... I'd suggest cleaning or removing System caches - you might try this... http://www.northernsoftworks.com/snowleopardcachecleaner.html since I've seen it recommended here before.
Failing that, although on paper it mightn't help in this case : try a Safe Boot - holding down the Shift key as your mac starts - then restart normally.

  • RSS feeds in Leopard Mail no longer work

Had been working fine until about a week ago, then they stopped being updated. Clicking on the error icon in Mail says the problem is "There was an error updating the RSS feeds. Mail cannot start a session with the system-wide RSS service. No RSS feeds will be refreshed."
I hadn't changed anything in Mail- didn't find anything in the discussions about this. I'd sent the error to Apple about a week ago- haven't heard/
    Thanks!

I cannot figure out why either, but this seemed to start two days ago. No updates that I know of, except one for Mac for Office (which obviously should not affect anything else). None of the links in my incoming email are working. Caused a work problem this morning when I could not access an online conference I needed to attend. Could not open the link in their email to get in!
Also, I have had intermittent "sending" issues where my messages seem to "hang" and give me an error message about the server.
I have used Mac Mail for years, same network, etc. and have never had any issues...now two issues seem to have cropped up at once! I'll try the restart again, as suggested. Does Apple know about this?

  • RSS feed giving me "Internal Server Error"

I'm getting this error message when I look at the RSS feed of my wiki:
    Internal Server Error
An error occurred rendering the requested page. More information is available in the server log
I've looked at the wiki log but don't see anything helpful.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
Maybe you know a solution for this one to, or it can give you information for resolving other problems with the same nature...
I got the same error and I am unable now to activate rss. So if you know how to resolve this one you would make us very happy.
The problem was there after i tried to copy some data from one wiki to another.
The reason for that was that i wanted to rename the original one. That did'nt work so i created a new one. Then it gave me lots of problems.
After resolving most of the problems there are only two left.
one of them is that i have a page in the blog that is there for reading, but when i trie to go there for edit it gives me not found. Simple i thought, but i am not able to trace back the complete mechanisem of the dynamicly build pages. Now it's not possible to remove a " tagged" link in the hot list. It's there... computer says no..
The second one is similar to the other posting above....
An error occurred rendering the requested page. More information is available in the server log...
    that gave me:

  • Error while trying to feed a group with RSS.

    Hello,
I'm working at the University of Southampton creating the iTunes U page. Although our page is not currently live, I'm trying to add a RSS feed (extracted from the iTuneU Adm. Guide) to a group of a course but I'm getting the following error:
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request."
"The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."
The error was still happening a week ago.
Does anybody knows what could be causing it? or if there is anything else I (or someone) needs to enable?
I tried "Edit track preferences" -> "Enable Course page podcasting" but it didn't fix.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sean.

I think I may have an answer.
I tried to setup a feed tab using your RSS in my secret lab. Normally, my first step in resolving feed tab problems is to open the target feed in a browser and check the feed XML. I was able to open your feed just fine, and the feed XML looks good at first read, so no real problems there. Where the problem exists, I think, is here:
    http://archive.zepler.tv/281/68/00132.mp4
That is a "typical" link that the feed encloses (it's for the "Namespaces Demystified" podcast). Problem is that when that link is opened, you're directed to the "ECS-TV Archive" login page and not the actual content. That's where Apple is likely having an issue with your feed…Apple expects real content and you're sending a HTTP form POST page in lieu of that.
Don't misunderstand though, it's legal to require that a feed tab login to a feed…you can use an HTTP basic or secure request and ask that Apple sign it using a SHA-256 tag (similar to what we do in our iTunes U portal websites). I tried to test that by establishing an account on your server (that is, I tried to create an "ECS-TV" account). But I'm not sure your system is going to accept a crazy request from some guy in the USofA. My overall aim was to see if I could create a feed tab that uses authentication by using account creds on your server.

  • RSS feeds for Error Queues

We have a requirement to send RSS feeds when ever there is a error message placed in the error queeu. Any inputs on this will be very much useful.

    > Hi,  The RSS feeds for the forums are great.  Any
    > chance of having the same thing for the developer
    > areas?  I'd hate to miss any new materials....
    Hi Kenneth,
RSS feeds for home pages are on the unfortunately long list of improvements. It is high up there.
But if you don't want to miss any materials, then you should check out DevToday, which you find under Services.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/devnews.sdn?node=linkn2
It shows only the new stuff that came in within the last I think it is 30 days. You can tailor it to your information interests by rating these objects. You can even create a daily or weekly email from it.
Gone is the fear of missing good information, Mark.
P.S. If now only that DevToday page had an RSS feed
P.P.S. Of course it only works if you are logged in, which by the way everyone using SDN should be.
