Error in Workflow Lotun Notes Integration

Hi all,
We are integrating our ECC6 to our Lotus Notes 7 in such a way that, when a transaction (PO for example) in ERP is created, a notification via email is being sent to the PO approver. However, when the said approver tries to open his email, a problem with the message "Sorry, an uncorrectable error has occured. Invalid pool free chain. Press ENTER to abort the application".  Has anybody encountered this problem before?

    Have set up 2 lists:  Events and EventsArchive.  They have all the same fields.  I have created a workflow in SPD using an impersonation step (I have Full control of the site/site collection).  Workflow is essentially this:
        If Curent Item:Expired 
    equals
    Yes
           Copy item in Current Item to
    EventsArchive
           then Delete item in
    Current Item.
    The item is copying over to the EventsArchive list just fine, but the "delete" part is not happening.  Instead, I get the following error:
    The workflow could not delete the list item. Make sure the list exists and the user has permissions to delete items in the list.
    The list obviously exists (or I wouldn't be able to copy an item from it), and I have as much permissions as anyone can have, so I'm not sure where else to turn with this.

    To test the issue, I create a simple workflow without using Impersonation step:
    It works.
    Could you please create new lists to avoid custom settings and test the issue again?

    I checked the tcode SWNCONFIG in 4.6 C ,but this tcode is not there.

    Talk to your BASIS to configure SCOT settings.
    You need to schedule a report RSWUWFML2 in background which sends the workitem to Outlook.

  • The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information. Outcome: Unknown Error

    Received this error (The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information.) recently on a workflow that was
    working fine and no changes were made to the workflow.
    I have tried a few suggestions, i.e. adding a pause before any ‘Update’ action (which didn’t help because the workflow past this action without incident); checked the data type being written
    to the fields (the correct data types are being written); and we even checked the list schema to ensure the list names and the internal names are aligned (they
    are), but we still cannot figure out why the workflow is still throwing this error.
    We located the area within the workflow step where it is failing and we inserted a logging action to determine if the workflow would execute the logging action but it did not, but wrote the same error message.
    The workflow is a Reusable Approval workflow designed in SharePoint Designer 2010 and attached to a content type. 
    The form associated with the list was modified in InfoPath 2010. 
    Approvers would provide their approval in the InfoPath form which is then read by the workflow.
    Side note - items created after the workflow throws this Unknown Error some seem to be working fine. 
    We have deleted the item in question and re-added it with no effect. 
    Based on what we were able to determine there don’t seem to be any consistency with how this issue is behaving.
    Any suggestions on how to further investigate this issue in order to find the root cause would be greatly appreciated?

    I understand that the reusable workflow doesn’t work properly now. Have you tried to remove the Update list item action to see whether the workflow can run without issue?
    If the workflow runs perfectly when the Update list item action is removed, then you need to check whether there are errors in the update action. Check whether the values have been changed.

    Our SPF 2010 server is relatively small to many setups I am sure. The list with the issue only has 4456 items and there are a few associated lists, eg lookups, Tasks, etc see below for count.
    Site Lists
    Engagements = 4456 (Errors on this list, primary list for activity)
    Tasks = 7711  (All workflow tasks from all site lists)
    Clients = 4396  (Lookup from Engagements, Tslips, etc)
    Workflow History = 584930 (I periodically run a cleanup on this and try to keep it under 400k)
    Tslips = 3522 (Engagements list can create items here, but overall not much interaction between lists)
    A few other lists that are used by workflows to lookup associations that are fairly static and under 50 items, eg "Parters Admin" used to lookup a partners executive admin to assign a task.

    I have a workflow enabled on document library and it needs to started manually.
    Whenever user starts workflow manually, gets following error:
    "the workflow could not check out the list item. Make sure the list item is not checked out." list item is not checked out & this workflow was working smoothly earlier.
    OutCome: The workflow operation failed because the workflow lookup found no matching item.

    maybe check out for editing documents setting is turned on so wokrflow needs doc to ce cheked out before proceding and user might not have permission to do that.

  • Workflow Error Message: System Account - The Workflow could not set Content Approval Status

    This is the first time I try an approval workflow. I am using a template in MS Word and assigned an approval workflow to it. The approval workflow is only going to one person in this case.
    When I start the work flow the following 3 error messages show up:
    Workflow Error Message: System Account - The Workflow could not set Content Approval Status. Enable content moderation for this list and run the workflow again.
    Workflow Error Message: System Account - The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the e-mail has a valid recipient.
    Workflow Error Message: System Account - The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the outgoing e-mail settings for the server are configured correctly.

    Hi,
    For the first error: Did you set Content Approval in the workflow?  If so, see if you have it in the versioning settings of the list settings.
    For the second error: double check your recipient is set up as being valid.  Did you type in the email address or is it referring to a people picker field?  also, make sure that in the workflow for the email that you actually populated it in the
    To: field.
    for the third error: I suspect that either your farm is not configured for email.  Or, this error is a knock on from the second error.  If you get the second error rectified it may clear this error.  If not then double check the email settings
    for your farm.

  • Error handling workflow not getting triggered

    Hi all,
    I'm creating a outbound IDoc. And for error handling workflow.. I created a organization structure in PPOME and assigned users. I gave this position number thus created in the partner profile in post processing permitted agent tab.
    But when the Idoc is in error, this is not coming to my inbox.
    Can someone please help me with this.. and let me know what went wrong.

    Here you need to be careful,
    if the agent assignment is not maintained properly, there may be a chance everyone in the organization will get the item.
    I hope you have created a single workitem for error handling. goto additional data-> agent assignment-> maintain. make sure the attribute is defined as general forwarding allowed. or you maintain the role/position/user/whatever.as the possible agents. still you dont get the result, debugging the default rule in the task ->default rule -> agent.

    The thing is that I transferred the databases from a Prod.Env. to the Test Env. and from that moment on the Test Env. stopped working (only workflows), then I
    was thinking that maybe the workflow is not working in the Test Environment because when I transferred the databases from Prod Env to Test Env I didn’t transfer the databases related to workflow, I only transferred:
    WSS_Content
    PWA_ServiceDB
    But I didn’t transfer:
    SBGatewayDatabase
    SBManagementDB
    SBMessageContainer01
    WFInstanceManagementDB
    WFManagementDB
    WFResourceManagementDB
    I didn’t transfer them because, before, when I transferred DB’s in version 2010, these DB’s were not needed, as the workflows were done using another method.
    So, I tried to create a new workflow in the Test Env. but there is no way, I always get that error.
    I've tried to Register again the workflow, and the result looks ok, but it doesn't solve the problem:
    Register-SPWorkflowService
    –SPSite "http://whatever/PWA"
    –WorkflowHostUri "http://TestServer:12291"
    –AllowOAuthHttp -Force
    Do you know how to solve this issue or have an idea to give me some light?

    Looks like you haven't defined the WF scope or the site where you are trying to deploy the workflow to isn't included in the scope

    Hi Emre,
    In our case the problem was in several confirmation standard workflows.
    In the workflow builder (SWDD) we use the navigation Area to check every workflow. I mean we did double click in each step, if the step had a subworkflow, then we open the subworhflow, checked it, and if it appeared the same error we used the function module for the subworkflow.
    In this way we achieved to solve the problem. I hope this helps you.

    The jstartup parameters do exist in the instance profile.

    The problem here is that the SDM misses information about the secure
    store, J2EE system and database. Obviously something went wrong during
    system copy. In such cases it is recommended to retry the system copy
    again.
    It is possible to try and restore the SDM configuration but this will
    solve the current problem. It is not clear whether there are not furtherissues with this system.
    If you would like to try and reconfigure the SDM manually I would
    recommend starting with the secure store configuration.
    1. Stop the SDM server if it is running.
    2. execute the following command in SDM/program directory
    sdm.sh registersecurestore "libdir=/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/security/
    lib/tools" "datafile=/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/security/
    SecStore.properties" "keyfile=/usr/sap/<SID>/global/security/data/
    SecStore.key" "systemname=<SID>"
    You may use the sapmnt mount instead of the absolute path.
    If the command fails, attach the sdmlog to the message.
    3. If the command succeeds, start the SDM server using the StartServer
    script. It will start in standalone mode.
    4. Start RemoteGUI and connect it to the SDM server.
    5. Select Config_DB and its Configuration tab. Enter <SID> and save the
    repository. The light image should be changed to green.
    6. Select SAPJ2eeEngine and its Configuration tab. Enter <SID> and save
    the repository. Again the light should change to green.
    7. Exit from the Remote GUI
    8. Stop SDM server (StopServer script)
    9. Execute the following command
    sdm.sh registerjstartup "jstartupdir=/usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance>/exe"
    "mshost=<hostname>" "msport=<port>"  port is internal port of SCSXX instance u2013 usually 3901
    jstartup directory should contain the binaries of the startup framework.10. Execute the command
    sdm.sh jstartup "mode=integrated"
    If no errors occur, the SDM should be integrated in the startup
    framework.

  • Jasper integration error on oracle APEX. "Error : File null.jasper not found"

    Recently we configured Oracle APEX and configured Jasper report on Glassfish 4.1. Everything went fine but when we try to run test report we are getting following error.
    "Error : File null.jasper not found"
    Can anyone help in this?
    Database: Oracle 11g R2
    APEX : 4.2
    Glassfish 4.1
    Jasper Report 1.3.0.2

    Recently we configured Oracle APEX and configured Jasper report on Glassfish 4.1. Everything went fine but when we try to run test report we are getting following error.

        How have you configured JasperReports with Oracle APEX on Glassfish 4.1? Have you followed some blog post or any documented method available?
        Please share the installation details.

    I am not sure whether the rule accepts the optional flag. Remove the optional flag for the tables parameters and try again. According to the documentation you have implemented the right interface. It might be the issue with the tables parameter being optional.

  • Workflow is not trigerred from the portal

    Hi all,
    I have a scenario in which the workflow requires to be trigerred through the portal and direct the task to the approver's inbox in extent to sending email notification to the approver, I have developed the custom workflow and i am using the standard rule for getting the approver. all of this is working fine when i test them on R/3 but wheni am integrating the workflow to the portal using a BAPI it is not trigerring the workflow. The first step in my worklflow is to send the email notification  to the approver, if i remove this step then it directs the task to the approver's inbox which is the second step in my workflow.
    Can anyomne please guide me why it is happening.

    Do you mean say that it is not working when you put the sendmail step alone? Or is it that the workflow is not triggering at all.
    I assume that you are using a BAPI to create an event which will start this workflow. Now if your workflow is not starting at all then you need to activate the event trace (SWELS) and check whether the event was triggered first (in SWEL). If yes then check for any errors in the receiver connection.
    If your workflow does start and fails at sending mail step then you may need to give some more info. Are you using the standard sendmail step or Are u using a background task. In case if u r using a BG task then it might be creating a dump while triggering from portal (Ex. it might need the Evt_creator user id to determine the approver which is not binded properly from Event<->Workflow<->Task<->Method).
    Also have a look at ST22 for any dumps.
