Error in XL reporter after upgrade to PL37

Hi,
I have upgraded several databases from version 2007 A PL30 to PL37, on some databases XL Reporter works fine while on others, the SAPB1 freezes after launching XL Reporter and the following error message is shown "Unable to Connect to XL Reporter, Error! User Identification Failed! Cause :Invalid use of Null". All the databases uses the same password.
Does anyone knows how to resolve this ?

After applying patch to make it 11.1.1.6.6 everything worked. All reports working without any issues.

Critical Hard Disk Free Space Error on Lenovo G500 after upgrading from Win8 to Win8.1

I encountered an error with my harddrive after upgrading my Lenovo G500 from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. The error is coming up under the Lenovo Solution Center. The error reads "Some partition in your hard drive has less than 9.5% of its capacities. It suggests to click on Fix Options; System; Storage Devices. Then it displays Internal Hard Drive ST1000LM024 HN-M101MBB.The solution center now displays 8 different partitions labled as follows:

I got an error when i tried disk repair ("the underlying task reported failure on exit - 1 HFS volume could not be repaired, 1 volume could not be repaired"). Is that the source of my problem?

If DU can't fix it after a couple more tries then, your best bets are DiskWarrior from Alsoft...

This last one would require another HD with plenty of space to recover to.
Unfortunately, Disk Utility can't fix all that much, and the only other Apple Options are erasing the HD, or installing OSX to a second drive, then using Migration Assistant to move stuff over to the new HD.

InfoObject is missing in report after upgrade

Hi,
My InfoObject Statistical ID is missing in Report after Upgrading from 3.5 to 7.0.
I did comparison of report before and after upgrade and found this issue.
the data content is the same but only this infoObject cannot be seen in the report
how do I correct this issue.

This is known to happen if you modified any of the default reports
I've seen that happening even in my lab (and and customers) where I am sure that I did not modify them. Just delete them (they should be prefixed with "_").

#MULTIVALUE error in SAP BI 4.1 SP3 WebI report after upgrade

Facing issues after upgrading from BO 3.1 SP3 to SAP BI 4.1 SP3.Below are the details:
1.The WebI report is created with 2 data providers. The report tab has a vertical table with 2 dimensions and 3 measures.
2.In the report layout the objects displayed is coming from base dimension and not merged dimension.
3.The data in some of the rows displays as #MULTIVALUE and some of them display the value.
4.The report also have Sub totals and no breaks.
Based on point no 3, not able to verify whether the subtotals are been calculated correctly. Please share your inputs,suggestions or solutions to resolve this issue.

Do you have the Associated object on layout?. Drag and drop in a column and if you dont want to display hide it.
Also , did you check the Extended Merged dimension option in properties?.

Run time eroor for customer report after upgrade DYNP_TOO_MANY_RADIOBUTTONS

Hi friends,
I am getting runtime error after upgrade of our systems from sap 4.7 to ECC 6.0.There is a report which has three radio butons,in which third radio button is set as default .there are 5 variants for the report.If select any variant which selects the second radio button.Getting runtime error.
The error is DYNP_TOO_MANY_RADIOBUTTONS_ON.

The problem is with the patch level after upgrading to PI 7.11. AS suggested by Hareen..Apply the latest patch (note:1344144). The problem will be resolved.

No data in reports after upgrade to CRJ

After upgrading from Crystal Reports 10 JRC to Crystal for Eclipse CRJ, we have a few of reports that are returning no data.
Out of 50 reports only 3 do not return data the rest are fine.
We have a jsp page which passes a couple parameters to the crystal report.
The report appears in the browser, however no data is there.
We are passing a date parameter to the report, the report will use this parameter to call stored procedure
in MS SQL database.
I can see the date parameter is passed to the report sucessfully as it appears on the report.
I opened the report in Crystal Reports and tried the following:
1) went to Database >> Verify Database
2) went to Show SQL Query
3) went to Report >> Refresh Report Data ...i got data to appear in the report.

The two things I can think of if deleting the links between the tables fixes it are:
1. Since the report was written in CR 10 or earlier and migrated to the CRJ, maybe it doesn't like something in the internals of the report. There are two things you can try:
A. re-write the report from scratch using the CR for Eclipse Designer or CR 2008.
B. load the current report into the CR for Eclipse Designer and see if it works there.
The CR for Eclipse Designer is different than the CR 2008 Designer in that it uses the actual Java jars to render the report that the CRJ uses. CR 2008 Designer was written in C++ and uses a different rendering engine. This means that in the CR4E Designer, you should see the exact same behavior as your web app, so it'll be easier to tweak the report to get it working, if that's what's needed.
2. Use your database profiler to find out exactly what SQL is being sent. Compare the SQL between the old JRC and the current CRJ. If they're different, does the current SQL return the data you're looking for? If not, and the old one does, then that would appear to indicate that the current SQL engine has something wrong with it and you should open a case to get it addressed.

a client of mine can't open some pdf's after upgrading adobe reader. he gets the message:
"There was an error processing a page. Invalid ColorSpace."

I like to share the discussion as I am confronted with same or similar problem. Since last Saturday the pdf attachments I sent with my e-mail messages show a blank pdf document upon opening. To make sure it really was the case I sent message with pdf attached to myself: bingo! Have recently updated to Adobe Reader 9.4.1. Using WinXp SP3 and MS Outlook 2003 SP3.
Any suggestions?

Error on starting MDS after upgrading from MDM 7.1 sp04 to sp05

Hi ,
I tried to upgrade my local setup from sp04 to sp05.
I used sapins to upgrade with update option.
In the second last step when we get option to which server you want to start after upgrading i select all three servers
i.e. mds ,mdis,mdss
This installation completed with error.
In the log file i found this logs.
The problem is i am able to start mdss and mdis of updated sp but not mds.
In the console i can see the version of mdss and mdis to sp05 but there is no version coming in the case of mds.
Please help me on this isssue

ERROR:java.lang.NullPointerException after upgrade 5.5 to 6.0sp1

Hellos.
I get this error message after upgrading from IdM 5.5 to Idm 6.0. I use mysql as repository so the upgrade was not easy.
The ERROR appears when I click on the "List Accounts" tab on the main menu.
However, I can listUsers from the $WSHOME/bin/lh console program quite happily.
The "Find Users" tab also works. I can search for and find and edit users.... but when I save I am returned to List Accounts page which then returns me the NullPointer.
What is going on????
Has anyone else met this and overcome it?

Syntax error in standard program after upgrade

Hi,
After upgrade from 7.0 to 7.3, we are facing a syntax error in standard program that is used in one of our process
The error says:
The field "G_REQUIDPARENT" is unknown, but there is a field with the s"
imilar name "G_REQUID_LAST". "G_REQUID_LAST"."
The system cannot find this object inside include LRSBM_REQUEST_GUIP04, that belongs to program SAPLRSBM_REQUEST_GUI
We assume that this is associated with the upgrade but we cannot find any solution in the web. Besides, this is a standard program so we cannot perform any change directly. We look for SAP Notes to apply but we didn't find nothing worthwhile
Basically, we are receiving a dump with the error message posted above and we found the syntax error, but the thing is that we don't know how to fix it, due to the fact that is a standard program and we cannot change it
I know that SAP could remove some object reference during the upgrade, but there should be an anticipated plan to fix this kind of errors, right?
Can you shed some light on this, please ?

If you make sure there are no customization around the object and SGEN already run, I think you can just open a OSS message to SAP to looking for a fix.

Have you installed trial version of CE7.1 in your local desktop?
Please ensure that you are upgrading from SP03 to SP04. if you upgrading from SP01, SP02 to SP04 then it will not work.
Please follow the sequence SP01>SP02>SP03>SP04.

Error in text formatting after upgrade to ECC6.0

After upgrading from 4.6C to ECC6.0, we encountered the error "The SD_WORD_PROCESSING function module is for creating the "Maintain Text" dialog box. It seems that after upgrade, some of the text procedure in the configuration is missing. Did anybody encounter this problem? Please advise.
