Error installing Adobe AIR
I'm getting a message stating that Adobe AIR cannot be installed because it's not allowed by my administrator. I actually do have admin priviledges on my computer but it still won't let me install. I've logged in as an admin and I get the same message.
I see that this is an old error, and someone figured out a fix, but it's on a Windows computer. I am on a Mac. Can someone please help?

Error Installing Adobe Air from Story Desktop Application Installer
This is truly driving me nuts already.
Every time I try to install the Desktop Application from the Story website, it says I must install Adobe Air. So I click Install, it shows the progress bar to 100%, then errors out with a window. The window header reads "Adobe AIR Installer" and the main section of the window reads "Couldn't write the application to the hard disk. Please verify the hard disk is available and try again." - There is a Retry and Cancel. Retry does it all again with same results.
No, I had no previous versions of Adobe Air. So I tried installing AIR direct from the Adobe website, and it installs fine. So I go back to the Story webpage and try installing the Desktop Application again and the exact same set of events as described above happens. I uninstalled the AIR install, tried again, same result.
I had Production Premium CS3 previously, and installed Production Premium CS5 UPGRADE. All the programs in the suite work like a charm!
I'm running Windows 7 64 bit with 208 Gig free on my C drive, as well as over 500 gig free spread out over two other drives. 8 Gig memory, and two Nvidia Qadro FX 3500 video cards (If that matters at all). Full admin rights to the PC, not limited in any way.
A quick Google search shows plenty of other people having the same problem, just no known fixes I've found!

Error installing Adobe Air Runtime - "Adobe AIR Installer" crashes (mac)

My previous version of Adobe AIR was 4.0 and was working fine. However, a recent app needed a later version but I cannot seem to be able to install it. Error Message when installing Adobe AIR
Hi, I am running XP and previously had Adobe AIR installed ok. I recently removed the install of Adobe AIR and have tried to reload it but get the below error message:
"An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."
I have tried safe mode, registry cleaners, turning of the firewall, pop ups and anti-virus, to installing as an Administrator without luck and get exactly the same error message. I notice I am not alone after searching Google but haven’t found anything that works.
I would really appreciate some guidance on what do next or from someone that has experienced the same issues.

Unable to install Adobe Air on Samsung Tab 3. Getting error code 24 message. Help!!
Is it a Tab 3 10.1? If so, it is an intel based device and adobe air is not supported on Intel based android devices.

I receive this message AS AN ADMINISTRATOR (only user on Netbook IS me, THE ADMIN). even in safe mode tried to update/install, same error. did NOT have this problem updating w/ previous versions (xxx.20 and earlier)
I contacted myself, as instructed by the error message, and the response was Adobe failed to properly check administrator privileges for versions after .20

Error trying to Install Adobe Air on Windows 7
Trying to install Adobe Air on Windows 7. Error: Application descriptor could not be found for this application (301).
AIR isn't an application, but a runtime that other applications use. It's similar to Java. You don't run it directly, it's just something other applications need to have present so they can run. You won't see any reference to it in your Start menu, though it will appear in your Uninstall control panel. The applications that use AIR (like Tweetdeck, BBC iPlayer, etc) will have links in your program list.

I keep receiving error -24 when installing adobe air on my tablet
I have been trying for months to install adobe air on my samsung galaxy tab 3, but constantly receive error -24. I need this to run some of my apps, so this is frustrating. I've tried emailing the Adobe android team via Google play, but the email was returned as "so such user". Any ideas how to solve this issue?

I am running Vista Home Premium SP1, and I keep getting the
following error while trying to reinstall Air. After the install, I
get a dialog box telling me Air installed successfully. When I
click OK, I get a second box telling me: "An error occurred while
installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your
administrator. Please contact
your administrator."
This error has repeated itself time after time. Air had
installed fine a while back, but programs using it began having
problems with uprgrades, so I uninstalled them and uninstalled Air,
then tried to reinstall Air.

However the adobe Air example is nothing close to the example illustrated using Flex 4. Do we have any examples which are built for Adobe AIR with flex 3.0 dev showing the errors with red lines and the context menu option on right click with the closest words?

Can't Install. An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR
I can't install Adobe AIR. I'm getting the infamous error:
"An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."
I'm the administrator of the computer.
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit.
I've tried the right-click-run-as-administrator solution and I'm getting the same error.
I've read Troubleshoot AIR installation | Windows and none of the solutions worked.
I'm installing the latest AIR version (I've tried older versions too)
I've tried Microsoft Install and Uninstall Fix It and AIR doesn't appear on the list of programs.

Error while trying to install Adobe AIR
i try to install adobe AIR on my macbook with osX Lion but when click on the installer the installation window does not appear.

I agree that an issue this severe needs to be made MUCH more visible until it is completely addressed. I had an incredibly problematic week because I was travelling and needed to run an AIR application on my Macbook in order to create and present application mockups to a major client. In the end I had to crate a virtual installation of windows XP and run the AIR application from there - knowing there was such a simple workaround would have made my life much easier!
