Error installing Business Content: InfoObject Catalogs

hi all,
just new in this community and hope you can help with my encountered problem regarding Installation in BI content.
I'm trying to activate:
InfoObject Catalog (technical name) : 0CHANOTASSIGNED
InfoObject Catalog(description) : Unassigned characteristics
upon installation here is the job log that i got:

thanks for the response.
i verified the objects included on the BI content objects window and noticed that the object 0CUST_CLASS_TEXT "active version" is not available and i tried finding 0CUST_CLASS_TEXT_BA and cannot find it.
does this have an effect on the error i got from activating and receiving the error upon activation?
The object R3TR ISTS 0CUST_CLASS_TEXT_BA does not exist
I did follow a document for Building Block Configuration Guide:
B03: General Settings for BI Integration
and the step is included here:
Activating Business Content: InfoObject Catalogs:
1.     On the Data Warehousing Workbench: Business Content screen:
a.     At the top of the right hand frame, choose Grouping and select In Data Flow Before.
b.     At the top of the right hand frame, choose Collection mode and select collect automatically.
c.     In the left hand frame, select Object Types.
d.     In the middle frame, expand InfoObject Catalog and make a double-click on Select Objects.
2.     In the Selection of Query Objects dialog box.
a.     Select the following InfoObject catalog:
0CHANOTASSIGNED
b.     Choose Transfer Selections.
c.     If a dialog box Remote Activation in the Source System <> occurs, choose OK and log on to the source system on the following screen.
d.     If a dialog box appears Exceeded runtime when collecting objects choose Continue.
3.     At the top of the right frame, choose Install and select Install in Background.
4.     In the Install Business Content in the Background dialog box choose Yes.
5.     In the Information dialog box choose Continue.
6.     Choose Exit.
please advise on how to continue.

Error Installing Business Content InfoObject 0GN_VENDOR

Hi,
I installed 0GN_VENDOR from Business Content. It was not active after installing.
When I try to activate 0GN_VENDOR I receive the following error messages:
Attribute 0DBCTRYCOD from characteristic 0GN_VENDOR not (actively) available
Attribute 0DBGUDUNS from characteristic 0GN_VENDOR not (actively) available
I looked in Business Content and found that the the two attributes do not exist in Business Content. So I am unable to install to correct the 0GN_VENDOR issue. I also do not find any related OSS Notes on the Attributes.
What should I do to fix this? Just remove the offending Attributes and activate 0GN_VENDOR?

Hi Kenneth,
Check for the inactive info objects 0DBCTRYCOD and 0DBGUDUNS and try to install these IOs too along with the 0GN_VENDOR.
If you are not able to find them in Business content then it might the problem with the BI content version installed in your system.

Error installing business content

Hi Experts,
i am getting an error while installing business content for sales and distribution.
i.e-The creation of the export DataSource failed,
The metadata for a DataSource must be created while the export InfoSouce is being generated. An error occurred at that time.
could any body help.

The DS should be Activated at R/3 to Install the Business Content on BI side.
Recheck the same with the following
R/3
RSA5--Activate the Data Source -- (RSA6 -- Transport the Data Source -- required if you want to replicate on BI Side)
BI Side
Business Content -- Install the same with required grouping conditions (Only necessary objects would be best option)

Hi,
I'm trying to install the below updates rules from the business content

I get the error

Message no. RSAU466
Diagnosis
When generating the update program for InfoProvider 0PLANT$T, InfoSource 0PLANT_TEXT, a syntax error in line 0.
System Response
The update rules cannot be activated.
Procedure
If error message :
is cut off, proceed as follows to get the complete complete error message:
Go into update rule maintenance, choose Extras -> Display Activated Program and perform a syntax check. This allows you to find out what the error is.
If I select the Display Activated Program it says does not exist.
Can anyone help me figure out this issue?

Errors while installing Business Content

Hi,
It is new system, When I am trying to install any Infocube it has given Runtime error OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED. Then implemented the SAP note 1019055.
To Install Business Content I am following: Grouping: In Data flow before and After wards, Collection Mode- Collect Automatically, Source System Assignment and Install .
Now when I am trying to install I am getting these errors
Process LOADING, variant 0PAK_0U36G4BPCOA4BN43PFVZU3A97 has been saved in target system under name1
Process LOADING, variant 0PAK_0AWN44OD08M313H1SIIA96HT7 has been saved in target system under name 1
Process variant LOADING 0PAK_0AWN44OD08M313H1SIIA96HT7 does not exist in version A
A type "Attribute Change Run" process has to follow process "Execute InfoPackage" var.0PAK_0AWN44OD08M313H1SIIA96HT7 in the chain
A type "Data Transfer Process" process has to follow process "Execute InfoPackage" var.0PAK_0AWN44OD08M313H1SIIA96HT7 in the chain
Process variant LOADING 0PAK_0MPC1AWCV7TGZ1CJ843SRIJZD does not exist in version A
InfoPackage no longer exists in object version A in table RSLDPIO
Variant '0PAK_1909HG1UYCGTBUE171UNQCSDN' of process type 'LOADING' not found in A version

There many errors of this type.
How to solve the problem. Please help me.

Hi Jaswantha,
Installing Business Content Cube would usually require "Grouping" as "Select In Data Flow Before".
This is as per my observations so far according to SAP Best Practices.
Pls. try this and get back.

Error when Installing Business Content BW 3.5

When I "Drag n Drop" the infocube 0PS_C021, it shows following errors :
Object 0EMPLOYEE_EDUCATION (InfoSource,ISTD) could not be collected for object PA-PA-IO (Application,APCO)
Message no. RSO296
Diagnosis
You have collected objects in the BW Metadata Repository. Associated objects for the object PA-PA-IO of type Application,APCO have also been collected. Object 0EMPLOYEE_EDUCATION of type InfoSource,ISTD was among these objects. This object 0EMPLOYEE_EDUCATION of type InfoSource,ISTD, is not, however, available in the Metadata Repository.
Object '0EMPLOYEE_EDUCATION' (ISTD) of type 'InfoSource' is not available in version 'D'

Diagnosis
You wanted to generate an object with the name '0EMPLOYEE_EDUCATION' (in transport request ISTD) of type 'InfoSource' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. It does not exist in the requested version D. If the version is 'D' then it is possible that an error arose during the delivery or installation. If the version is 'A' then the Object was either not created or not activated.
Please help me to solve these problems.

I am using BI 7.0, when I install business content for cube, even I select " in dataflow before", I can not see infoobject catalog. How can I install the catalog?

Installing Business Content

Hi,
I am trying to install Business Content Object.The object was installed without any errors.But i am not able to see the object in Modelling.
When checking in the Meta data repository its showing the object as active.
I checked to which info object catalog it belongs to.
That catalog is not active in Modelling. I checked Unassigned nodes also, the object is not present there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am getting Errors in business content when Installing objects for Infocube. like
Object '0DBMKTC01' (CUBE) of type 'InfoCube' is not available in version 'D'
Object '0DB_MC01' (MPRO) of type 'MultiProvider' is not available in version 'D'
Object '0DB_VCDS1' (ODSO) of type 'DataStore Object' is not available in version 'D'
etc.......

Issue installing business content

Has anyone out there come across the following error message while trying to install business content:
Object 2LIS_11_VAITM (InfoSource) could not be collected for object ()
Message no. RSO296
Diagnosis
You have collected objects in the BW Metadata Repository. Associated objects for the object of type have also been collected. Object 2LIS_11_VAITM of type InfoSource was among these objects. This object
2LIS_11_VAITM of type InfoSource, is not, however, available in the Metadata Repository.
System response
Object 2LIS_11_VAITM of type InfoSource is ignored in further collections. The links for object of type are incomplete. This may result in not being able to activate this object.
Procedure
If this error occurs while you are installing Business Content, a delivery error may have occurred. Inform SAP. In all other cases, check, for example, that the object has not been deleted by another user during the collection.
I am assuming somethign went wrong during the installation of the box, but just wondering if anybody has any ideas on this.

1. In the main menu of BI Modeling choose Data Warehousing Workbench: BI Content (Transaction RSOR). If you are already in the Data Warehousing Workbench, select the BI Content functional area by clicking on the corresponding pushbutton in the left-hand navigation window, or by choosing Goto ® Install BI Content.
You can display or hide the left navigation window of the Data Warehousing Workbench with Navigation Window On/ Off.
2. Collect the objects you want to activate and check your settings for activating BI Content with respect to Install, Match or Copy and Active Version Available.

3. With Install, define how you want to install the BI Content:

The system runs a test to see whether any errors are likely to occur during the installation. The selected objects are installed immediately.
Install in Background

Make sure that when you install objects in the background, the versions are not matched. It is always the delivery version that is installed. They are not matched

Unable to 'set the default source system' to Install Business Content

Hi,
Maars here. This is my first post hoping that in future ones I'll also be lending a helping hand.
I am trying to 'Install Business Content' under the BUSINESS CONTENT section in txn RSA1. I am doing this after 'Transfer Data Sources' in R/3 and I can now see all the data sources (under the application component hierarchy) for the source system. But I am not able to see the Info Objects in the Business Content.
When I try to set R/3 as the default source system (got this screen after clicking a icon in the standard tool bar), BW is not saving the settings ie., I set the R/3 as the default and then click on OK. If I go back to the same screen again, I find that my settings were NOT saved.
Could you please help me out?

Hi,
It seems to be a bug in version 3.5.
Do like this:
After you open the screen to <i>choose the dafault source system</i>
Clcik on 3rd button(F6) available in the bottom of the scrreen.
And then select teh tick mark for required system.
And then click on Continue button
You have do this step before you drop the cube to right side of the cube.
Ok, even after all these steps , if you reopen the screen you would not see Tick mark u have done just before. DONOT WORRY ABT it.
Drag and drop required cube with dat flow before.
Now you can see the Transfer rules with selected Source system only in the collected Objects.
