Thought this was for Windows and Mac Only. the download page I looked did not show a linux option. I'm looked at it from my linux box. might want to see if WINE would work with it.

  • Multicast media rtmp publish must use Flash Media Live Encoder? Flash 11.4, I use a worse problem

I use the example FMS installation files, Flash Media Live Encoder is very well, but when I released the source replaced with flash 11.4 a worse problem.
Beginning everything is normal and Flash Media Live Encoder does not make any difference, but when I upload bandwidth limit to 2KB / S (This situation often occurs in the actual situation, such as the user suddenly side live side of upload files), video and audio becomes very blocked, this is not the key to the problem is to when I upload bandwidth settings for normal, blocking situation will be no better, and have been very bad, but Flash Media Live Encoder automatically adjusted to normal, flash 11.4 but not.
I have to use flash 11.4, nobody will go to install Flash Media Live Encoder.
Mike Do you test only test Flash Media Live Encoder, but did not test flash, or flash need another set of code, but I really can not find a reason.
    Please help me, God。

  • Trying to reinstall in Flash Media live encoder

How can I fix this problem when I try to install Flash  media  live encoder
A conflicting or prerelease version of Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder exists on this computer. The conflicting version must be removed before installing from the current media.
    I uniinstall everything.''
when I try and reinstall I keep getting the message

Thanks for the reply.  The system clock is fine on my encoder - FMLE somehow either cannot read it or cannot insert in into the stream.  It does insert the system date (sd), but it doesn't really help for my slide synchronization.

  • How can I install Adobe Flash Media live encoder on a G5 power pc?

How can I install Adobe Flash Media live encoder on a G5 power pc?

Unfortunately, you can't.  When FMLE was initially released in 2007, Apple had already transitioned to using Intel processors in their computers.  Your PowerPC processor isn't compatible with software written for an Intel processor.  From Adobe's website, the (5 year-old) FMLE v. 3.2 has these system hardware requirements for the Apple platform:
    • 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor
    • Mac OS X v10.5.6
    • 1GB of RAM
    • 50MB of available hard-disk space (excludes archived FLV and F4V files)
    • 1024x768 screen resolution
    • QuickTime compatible audio/video capture devices
    • QuickTime 7 software or later

  • Flash Media Live Encoder won't connect to server

I am trying to configure Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2. I followed the instructions provided by the chatroom I am working for, and it seems to be working until I press the "Start" button on the bottom. When I do that, I get an error message that says
    "Problem with Primary Server
Failure to connect to primary server. Please verify that your Server URL and application name are valid and that your internet connection is working and retry."
I get the same message when I hit the "Connect" button on the dashboard.
I have Windows 7, and more than adequate processing power/connection speed. My performance meter says it is only taking up 9% of my CPU, and my connection speed is at least 15, usually more like 30megs.
    Any suggestions?

    Most of the time is is due to;
    Ports or firewall blocking connections
Settings put into FMLE are not correct, check FMS URL for spaces and the Stream key not being what was expected.
Application no present on the server
Good way to debug is to use the Admininistration panel that Adobe provides in the FMS install.

  • Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3.1 crashes at launch!

    Hi there,
Accidently asked this question in the flash area--oops.  Here it is, in the correct section now.  :-)
I have used this Encoder extensively on my PC over the past couple of years and have never had any problems.  I am thinking that an update on some other device might have stealth updated on me and is now causing the Encoder to fail?  I have tried deleting and removing the software then re-installing.  I also tracked down the startup xml file I believe it was and deleted that as well.  Also have rebooted the computer multiple times and aside from throwing my laptop through a window I am lost.
    Help!

This is just a shot in the dark....
Do you have all your devices hooked up (and on) when you launch FMLE?  For example -- your camera or digitizer?  When FMLE launches it will try to launch with the last known settings... including input devices.  If it can't find these devices (they're not hooked up and on) it can crash, although in most situations it will simply show a default screen with default settings.
If you do have your equipment hooked up (and on) when you launch FMLE, try unplugging them and then launching FMLE so that it opens up in default configuration mode (no input devices selected; all default settings).  Then uncheck the "preview" boxes for both your input and output preview windows.  Close FMLE and then plug in your equipment (and turn it on) and relaunch FMLE.  I offer this suggestion as FMLE can sometimes act funny when the preview windows are open with certain types of input devices.  Don't worry -- you don't have to keep the preview windows off forever.  If you can get FMLE to successfully launch with the preview windows off, then you can set your settings however you like and save the profile.  Then quit and relaunch FMLE and then turn the preview windows back on and see if it works.  If it does, great.  Just be aware that making any settings changes while the preview windows are open could result in FMLE crashing.   Again -- this only happens with some capture devices, such as certain Dazzle capture boxes.
If none of this works, you could always try to upgrade to FMLE 3.2 and see if that solves your problem.

  • Adobe Flash Media Live Encode support the HDV format?

    Hi,
I have a Sony PMW-EX1 that I would like to use as a video source. However when I select the device (connected via iLink / Firewire) I get an error saying the video format is not supported. Sony have decided to only output HDV on this camera, and therefore I cannot 'downgrade' the output to DV.
Do Adobe Flash Media Live Encode support the HDV format?
    Thanks,
    William.

Can you check if firewall is on machine where Flash Media Server is installed? I mean it needs to off or you need to allow port 1935 and 80 so that you allow incoming traffic to FMS on this ports.

  • Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2 f4v

Hi! I used adobe flash media live encoder 3.2 to make a streaming and record the same. It turns out that he recorded in f4v and now I can not work. The first ten seconds of the video an hour are good and then blocks the last frame of ten seconds. Programs that recognize the file from the ten seconds is black.
I've tried using the f4v post processor but it gives me the error -203 in stsd space left in the box.
How can I solve this problem?

I managed to solve the problem in the following way, the problem is with drivers for Windows 7 for EpocCam. topic can be closed. Drivers block process.

  • Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3 - Video Hardware Acceleration Warning

I have been looking for an answer for this error for a few days without any luck.
I just loaded the Adobe Free Encoder 3 and the Flash Media Server (Free Version) on a Dell PowerEdge 1950 running Windows 2003 server standard edition with Service Pack 2.  The computer has an Intel Pentium III Xeon 2.66GHz Quad core processor with 4GB RAM.  I am using an Osprey 240 video capture card.
The computer was previously running Windows Media Encoder and it was working fine, but I needed to upgrade to a flash stream.
Whenever I start the Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder I get the following error:
"The video card's hardware acceleration level is set too low.  Open the Display Properties, Settings tab and click Advanced, then select the Troubleshoot tab and increase the Hardware acceleration setting.  Then restart the application, etc...
I did as instructed and it did not work. I also tried changing the display settings to lower and higher resolutions.  I also updated the video card to the latest drivers.  I double checked the hardware requirements.  http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/flashmediaencoder/systemreqs/ and it looks like I'm ok.
I also checked the approved hardware list http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flashmediaencoder/FMLE_DeviceMatrix3.0.pdf.
The Osprey 240 is not listed, but that seems to be working fine.
I'm thinking that the internal video card that I have may not be compatible with the Adobe Encoder.  The video card that I have is an ATI ES1000 embedded video that has only 16MB of RAM.
I have the latest version of DirectX - I ran DxDiag and it shows that I'm running DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904),  Under the Display tab it says that the DirectDraw Acceleration, Direct3D Acceleration and AGP Acceleration are not available.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Anthony

  • Wowza with Flash Media Live Encoder

Video Quality Problem: Action Script netStream X Flash Media Encoder
    Hi,
We're running Wowza to stream a live webcam from a Flex web application (using ActionScript 3 netStream method) for a 1 to 1 video chat.
We are able to stream it properly, but the quality does not look good at all (320 x 240, 300 Kbps, 15 fps).
We tried tweaking the paramenters (quality x bandwidth), but the quality is still surprisingly poor for a H.264 video.
Just out of curiosity, we decided to use Flash Media Encoder 3 to generate a live stream from the very same computer, with the very same webcam, at the very same video specs. The quality is much, much better than the one using the ActionScript 3 netstream approach. The difference is amazing!
So this leads us to believe that the problem is in the "encoder"; the Flash Media Encoder seems to be much for efficient in generating a high quality video stream, compared to ActionScript 3.
My question to you guys is: are we missing something? Are there any parameters on ActionScript 3 or even on Wowza that can increase the quality of video?
Installing Flash Media Encoder on each end user machine is impossible, so we really need this to work on the browser, via Action Script.
In other words: how can I make the quality of the video generated by ActionScript 3 be similar to the one we're able to achieve (remember: under the very same specs) on Flash Media Encoder?
    Thanks in advance,
    Julio Costa

    Hi,
That may not be possible with Flash Media Live Encoder directly. But you can use softwares like WebCamMax on Windows and CamTwist on Mac to add video affects while broadcasting with Flash Media Live Encoder.
You could refer to this post http://forums.adobe.com/message/2711776#2711776 .
