Error Installing OIM - Ebiz User Management connector

Hi all,
I am trying to install ebusiness suite user management connector 9.1.0.1.0.
But, while installation, I am getting an exception
Invalid Connector Installation Directory
Ensure that the connector installation files are in the specified directory.
From the server log, I have seen this error.

But, before this, I have done the ebusiness suite employee reconciliation 9.1.0.1.0 in the same way.
Please let me know, if any one has faced this kind of error earlier.

Figured out the error,
When I have installed Ebiz HRMS Employee recon connector, it has imported all the files with root privileges. (Dont know why importing was done with root privileges).
Becuase of EBSCommon.jar and Common.jar having root as the owner, EBIZ UM connector is unable to replace those files. After modifying the owner and group of these two files to oracle.
I am able to succesfully install the UM connector.

which release of OIM are you using.
Did you try to retry the installation of connector?
If not then refrsh your OIM database and then install again.
Seems like some earlier installation has kept some data in OIM DB.

OIM - EBusiness User Management Connector

Hello there,
Can anybody please tell me within the Ebusiness connector i.e. provided in 9.1 version connector pack, which one needs to be installed? there are 3 different categories within the same -
1.) For the User Management connector:
Oracle EBS User Management 9.1.0.0
2.) For the User Management with HR Foundation connector:
Oracle EBS HR Foundation User Management 9.1.0.0
3.) For the User Management with TCA Foundation connector:
Oracle EBS TCA Foundation User Management 9.1.0.
I don't know which one resembles to which operations that OIM can perform. Can anybody please throw some light and explain which connector does what?

An FND_USER record represents an Oracle E-Business Suite account. This record is the main component of the account data whose management is enabled by the connector. *(Oracle EBS User Management 9.1.0.0)*
Depending on your configuration of the target system, there may be other user data components that must be managed by the connector:
Some applications in Oracle E-Business Suite require a user to have a person record in Oracle E-Business HRMS. *(Oracle EBS HR Foundation User Management 9.1.0.0)*
These users are either full-time employees of the organization or users (such as contract or part-time employees) who have been provided with access that is similar to the access provided to full-time employees. iExpense is an example of an application that requires users to have person (HRMS) records.
Some applications in the Oracle E-Business Suite require a user to have a record in Oracle E-Business TCA. *(Oracle EBS TCA Foundation User Management 9.1.0.)*
Typically, these users are representatives or employees of customers and vendors of your organization. iStore and iProcurement are examples of applications that require users to have TCA records.

OIM 9.1.0 with Database User Management: Connector Exception upon Connect

Hi,
I've been struggling with the Database User Management connector (9.0.4) with Sybase, following the steps word-for-word as per the documentation (Oracle® Identity Manager Connector Guide for Database User Manage Release 9.0.4; E10425-0; July 2009).
When defining the IT Resource through the Install Connector wizard, I get the following when it does a connection test:
14:51:52,795 ERROR [WEBAPP] Class/Method: CreateITResourceAction/testConnectivityForDataBase/ClassNotFoundException encounter some problems: No ClassLoaders found for: com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.SybDriver
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: No ClassLoaders found for: com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.SybDriver
even though I've ensured jconn2.jar is in the ThirdParty directory, reflushed the cache, and restarted OIM; the connector still can't seem to load the driver.
I've tried the database testing script with similar results.
Any thoughts?

PS: I believe v5.5 of JConnect (as required by the OIM Connector) has been EOL'd and Sybase. They recommend you use v6.0 (v6 is jconn3.jar)), which from what I can see should work as com.sybase.jdbc3.jdbc.SybDriver; I tried that as well but had the same ClassNotFoundException.

I've fixed it; needed to copy jconn2.jar into the $JBOSS_HOME/lib directory and restart the server.

OIM - SAP Employee Recon and SAP User Management Connectors vs. OC4J

In reading through the SAP connector documentation I've found that we cannot use OC4J to run OIM if the 9.0.3 SAP User Management Connector or SAP Employee Recon Connector is used. This is all related to a conflict in JDK versions supported between the SAP JCo (Java Connector) library and OC4J. A thought we've had is to use a Remote Manager for these connectors. Can anyone validate this approach? Is it possible to use a different JDK version with your remote manager? Is there another workaround that anyone is aware of?

The remote manager should work with different JDKs. We are going to be doing the same thing for one of our adapters.
As for SAP, I cannot think of another workaround -- we actually abandoned the SAP JCo approach and are doing web services with XI.

Database User Management Connector ,

Hi,
Want some help in understanding the database user management connector to achieve the Requirement -
" Need to do user provisioning to a database according to roles/entitlements assigned to a user and also wants that access to that database is managed according to roles assigned to that users "
My environment is OIM 11g R2 which is integradted with OIA 11.1.1.5.0
Googled and found that Database User mangement Connector is required for his purpose.Please confirm is this understanding correct or is there any better approach.
Also want to know is it mandatory to install bundle on ICF for this connector?

Hi one more silly doubt.....can i connect to oracle database without using a connector but creating an IT Resource Type, IT Resource, RO,PD - adapters using stored procedure task to call a stored procedure on the target database?

OIM as user management

Hi All,
I am using OIM as user management for managing target systems AD and Oracle database.
I have some common fields like email and telephone number for both the accounts of AD and database.
When I get a request for creating account in AD (with set of attributes which include email and telephone number) in the form of feed, first I need to find out if already user is present in OIM with the given email and telephone number that present in given feed, if exist I just need to go and create account in AD if not I need to first create a user then provision that user to AD.
Can any one explain how to achieve this in OIM and I need all this to be performing automatically, I will get account creation request in the form of feed.

I have confusion in your requirement.
From where you are getting request for AD. And if it doesn't present in OIM then you'll have to first create that user in OIM then provision to AD.
Just create an entity adapter and attach with User Form which will validate that any user with given email and number ia already present in USR table or not. If no then it will create the user in OIM otherwise it will throw error.
And you can create one group and move that user into that group using some rule realated to your requirement and put access policy on that group.
otherwise you can put accee policy on All User group too if it doesn't affect your other functionality..

Error installing OIM Connector for DB User Management

I'm a newbie in OIM and trying to set up a lab environment for user provisioning and reconciliation.
I have installed: WebLogic 10.3.3; OIM 11.1.1.3; Oracle Database 11g 11.2.0.1.0
In order to configure the OIM connector for DB User Management, I am following the OIM Connector Guide for Database User Management (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E22999_01/doc.111/e28315/deploy.htm#CHDHAJCA) for the installation steps:
In the Step 2: Connector Installation the Import of Connector XML Files is failing. The error displayed is:
DOBJ.XML_IMPORT_ERROR

I found these error messages from the STDOUT of the OIM Server:

Try to research into these tables OUG(List to define the administrators for each Resource Resource) , obj and ugp.
Something like this:
select obj.obj_name, oug.oug_write,oug.oug_delete,oug.oug_data_level,ugp.ugp_name from obj,oug,ugp where obj.obj_key=oug.obj_key and oug.ugp_key=ugp.ugp_key
PK_OUG is a unique key that control (oug.obj_key and oug.ugp_key) together into OUG table. So, if you already have this information that it's trying to insert you will see this error. Probably because of a previous installation. Check CIH table if it already have some information about this connector, probably someone already tried to install this before.

I have EBS 11i installed on XP.
I face following error message when try to open any screen in 'User Management' responsibility...
*'This type of function cant be performed without logging into E-Business Suite Home Page'....*
This error is strange for me because i login with SYSADMIN and then choose 'User Management' responsibility.

Also, please check Apache log files for any errors.

Error installing sql server 2008 management studio express

Hello,
I need to install sql server 2008 management studio express on a sql server 2k8 R2 instance.
First of all, I've downloaded this one from this link: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7593 (for 32 bits).
Once I've the downloaded file I run this file and choose the first option (New sql server stand-alone...) in the installation part. Finally, in the installation type I choose the option 'Add features to an existing instance of SQL Server 2008' with the instance
selected. I push Next and then I get the following error: 'The instance ID is required but it is missing'.
Can anybody help me?

What’s the edition of the SQL Server 2008 R2? If you had installed SQL Server 2008 R2 Developer edition, you should install “SQL Server 2008 Express with Tools” edition or “SQL Server 2008 Express with Advanced Services” edition.

OIM 11g - User Management Authorization policy issues

Hello,
1) Created an organization -> Human Resource
2) Created an Role -> HR_Admins
3) Assigned HR_Admins roles as administrative role of Human Resource organization
4) Created user1 with organization as Human Resource & Assigned HR_Admins role to this user.
5) Created authorization policy for user management with following selections
Permission -> Create User.
Data Constraints -> Selected "Users that are members of selected Organizations" & selected above Human Resource organization.
Assignment -> HR_Admins role .
now when i log into user1 i am not able to see Administration tab where i can select Create user.
I am working on this issue for couple of days ,but not able to find the solution & have i missed some configurations ?

I have tested your scenarion.. with below clause
1) Created an organization -> Human Resource
2) Created an Role -> HR_Admins
3) Assigned HR_Admins roles as administrative role of Human Resource organization
4) Created user1 with organization as Human Resource & Assigned HR_Admins role to this user. : default role All Users
5) Created authorization policy for user management with following selections
Permission -> Create User. :- *"Select ALL"*
Data Constraints -> Selected "Users that are members of selected Organizations" & selected above Human Resource organization.
Assignment -> HR_Admins role .
In data constraints
Organization Security Setting Hierarchy Aware (include all Child Organizations)
Now I am able to see the create user tab and, I can create user in Human Resource org only.
If it doesn't work for you. Just assign "REQUEST ADMINISTRATOR" IN AUTH POLICY. Test the result.
Also what is your OIM version?
Test it with fresh data like new role name, org and user,

E-Business Suite User Management Connector

Hello. I ran the EBS UM connector v9.1.0, in OIM 11g2, and the OIM Event Management seems to show the recon operation pulled in the expected EBS account, along with the UMX Roles and Responsibilities. However when I search for the corresponding user in OIM, I now see the EBS account attached to his identity, but I do not see the Roles and Responsibilities (I looked under the Roles tab User Details page). Any idea why?

I did end seeing them them in the OIM user's Roles tab. Still do not understand why I didn't see them right after the recon job finished.

Error installing OIM

Hi,
I have succesfully installed weblogic server,rcu,soa,database. While installing identity manager installer during step "Test JDBC Component Schema"
i am getting the following error. Please help me solve this issue.
SQL Test=select 1 from schema_version_registry where owner=(select user from dual) and mr_type='SOAINFRA' and version='11.1.1.5.0'
CFGFWK-60850: Test Failed!
CFGFWK-60853: A connection was established to the database but no rows were returned from the test SQL statement.
I am not sure what i am missing here. I am novice, please help me solve this and pass trough this step.

Error installing Adobe CC app manager

I have a client who keeps getting the error 204 code pop up during the download process of the CC app. Not sure why it keeps happening. Have installed it on 2 other machines there locally with no issues at all. Any help would be appreciated.
