Error Installing Operations Manager

System Center Operation Manager installer encountered error during installation and 'Setup cannot be completed' during the 'Data warehouse configuration' stage. I have included the obfuscated log file to hide some details of what the server configuration
actually is, but the essence should remain. I am unfamiliar with what to interpret in the log file and could use some help figuring how to get the install to succeed.
(log was too long so I have uploaded it on pastebin http://pastebin.com/c9kFhkaJ )

Hi,

  • Error installing Extension Manager 6.0.5 update

    I am unable to install Extension Manager 6.0.5 Update.  The installation is unsuccessful.  The Error Code is U44M1I0

    Hi Swila,
    To help us solve the issue, could you please provide the following info?
    1. Have you ever changed or removed files in the Extension Manger installation folder?
    2. The current version of your Extension Manager.
    3. Platform and the OS version that you are working in( Windows7, Windows8, Mac OS X10.7, 10.8, … )
    4. Please generate installation log with the steps below, and send the log files to [email protected]
    Windows
    1. Open Command Prompt window.
    2. Run command: cd %temp%
    3. Run command: echo > ribs3debug
    4. After that a new file named "ribs3debug" should have been created in temp folder.
    5. Update Extension Manager CS6, via Adobe Application Manager or running updater installer manually.
    6. The log file "X:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\Adobe Extension Manager CS6 xxxx.log.gz" will be created( check the create date of the file and make sure it is the log of your patch installation ).
    Mac
    1. Open a Terminal window.
    2. Run command: cd /tmp
    3. Run command: touch ribs3debug
    4. After that a new file named "ribs3debug" should have been created in /tmp folder.
    5. Update Extension Manager CS6, via Adobe Application Manager or running updater installer manually.
    6. The new log file "/Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers/Adobe Extension Manager CS6 xxxx.log.gz" will be created( check the create date of the file and make sure it is the log of your patch installation ).
    A workaround of this issue is, manually deleting the instllation folder of Extension Manager( C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CS6 in windows or /Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CS6 in mac ), then downloading the Extension Manager 6.0.4 from http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/, installing it and try updating it again.
    Thanks,
    Xiaoyi

  • Error installing desktop manager

    I downloaded the latest version of Desktop Manager (v. 5.0) to upgrade from v. 4.3.0.17.  When the software began installing the following error shows: "Can't create output file: Autorun.inf".
    I'm using Windows XP Professional.

    Strange. I looked but didn't see that error in the knowledge base.
    Have you tried rebooting?
    Are you the Administrator on the account? Can you try to log into another account on the PC and try installing the software?

  • Errors installing Fabric Manager 3.3.x on Linux

    With the 3.3.x version of FM, PostGreSQL is the local DB that gets installed with FM. During an install on Fedora 9 I keep getting errors during the DB install portion. The errors revolve around the inability to find certain libraries. Examples are something like can't find libssl.so.4 and libcrypto.so.4. I've found workarounds on the net for these two particular files but during each attempt at install there is another missing file. I assume I'm doing something wrong since the FM installer should copy any needed files and there is no indication of prerequisite packages needed in the release notes or install guide. FM 3.1.3a works fine since it uses a different DB.

    I took a little different route. I installed RHEL 5 and Sun JVM 1.6. Then ran the FM installer and was still getting errors finding the below files. I found other versions of these files and created sym links to them which allowed the installer to complete.
    libssl.so.4
    libcrypto.so.4
    libreadline.so.4

  • Error in communicating with DCR server (Operations Manager 8.5)

    Hi,
    I just installed Operations Manager 8.5 on a new server. And, although I'm able to login to the OM, I'm unable to add any devices to the DCR. When attempting to add the device the following error is returned:
    "Error in communicating with DCR Server
    DCR Server may be down. Please start DCR server and then refresh the page. "
    The same error is returned when an attempt is made toaccess the screen to change the mode (standalone/master/slave.) However, according to pdshow output DCRServer is up and running:
    Process= DCRServer
    State  = Running normally
    Pid    = 9220
    RC     = 0
    Signo  = 0
    Start  = 7/29/2011 2:46:33 PM
    Stop   = Not applicable
    Core   = Not applicable
    Info   = DCRServer is up and running
    I've browsed the site and tried all suggestions for LMS since I didn't see any for OM. No success.
    Any/all suggestions are much appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Bart

    It appears the answer is rather simple. According to a trusted source who works for a Cisco training partner, one must wait before even attempting a login into OM.
    Apparently,  it takes about 25 to 30 minutes for all the services to start. Any attempt to login to the OM may corrupt the  database. This is based on CiscoWorks.  When command "net stop crmdmgtd" is issued it takes about 5 minutes to stop the service and a confirmaiton that the service was stopped is displayed. However, when starting the service with "net start crmdmgtd"  there is no confirmation that it started successfully. One may look into ":\ program Files\CSCOpx\objects\dmgt\ready" directory for a _lock file." As long as the lock file is present one shouldn't  use the browser to login. However, I was advised the best approach is to restart the service and give it 30 minutes.
    It worked for me
    Kind regards,
    Bart.

  • License for Operation Manager

    Hello Team,
    We have DPM installed in our environment for backup.
    We want to implement Central Console for centralized administration. I understood that to install central console we have to install operation manager first and then install central console.
    I want to know if we need a license for operation manager to install and if yes then what could be the cost of the license?
    Regards,
    Suman Rout

    Hi,
    We have System Center 2012 DPM installed in our environment.
    If any license is not required then how do I install Central Console for centralised DPM Administration. I tried installing Central Consol but I got an error as Need to install Operation Manager first. As Central Console can only be installed on Operation
    Manager Server.
    NOTE: We do not have Operation Manager or SCOM installed in our environment.
    Could you please also let me know the steps to install.

  • Basic Network Monitoring for Cisco Operation Manager 2012

    Hello,
    Please bear with me as i'm new the Operations Manager 2012 world. I've just installed operations manager 2012 in our environment and i've setup a network management point. I've discovered my networking gear which is primarily cisco equipment. The devices
    are appearing as CERTIFIED. It appears that they are HEALTHY however in most cases i'm getting some arbitrary monitors. I have a 6509 switch where memory and processor appear to be being monitored out of the box. I'm receiving alerts and everything.
    My question is how do I turn on monitoring for other discovered components. I seem to understand I can make SNMP monitors under the authoring pane if i know the OID. That sounds like it'd be tedious work for such a simple and basic monitor. However I was
    under the impression I would be able to monitor a lot of these components with a simple click of a button. Is this not the case? I'm primarily interested in monitoring the state and performance of particular interfaces as well as the state of the power supplies
    in our switches. Is there a guide that explains the basic principles of this. What are my options?
    Thanks!
    -Brandon

    Hi,
    You will need to edit the discovery and broaden the range. You may use recursive discovery.
    Recursive discovery will try to discover any other network devices it knows about through its Address Routing Protocol (ARP) table, its IP address table, or the topology Management Information Block (MIB) to grow the network map and present all applicable
    devices to you for monitoring.
    You can also filter out devices that you don't want to be discovered by using properties such as the device type, name, and object identifier (OID). This is a handy option if you wanted to quickly discover all the network devices in your network except,
    a small number or some with a specific criteria.
    In really large networks with a lot of network devices, keep in mind that there is a default limit of 1500 network devices that can be discovered recursively. You can of course tweak this limit to suit your environment if you wish, but for most people, this
    won't be needed.
    More details, please go through the article below:
    http://kevingreeneitblog.blogspot.com/2012/07/scom-2012-network-monitoring-explicit.html
