Error installing reporting 11
Hi everyone,
I have a virtual server Suse linux enterprise 11 x64 (on xenserver 5.6), with ZCM 11 installed on it. I want to install the Reporting server. So I put the ISO file of the Reporting for Linux, and mounting it to /mnt/cdrom. I started setup.sh and here the error message:
/mnt/cdrom/Install/Disk1/InstData/Linux/VM/install.bin: /mnt/cdrom/Install/Disk1/InstData/Linux/VM/install.bin: cannot execute binary file
So, any idea to correct the situation?

Dominicm,
the MD5 Checksum (as I should have called it) is a way to ensure that
the downloaded file is not corrupt. On linux, there's a built-in
command to check a file, but in Windows there are many
shareware/freeware options - I use an old one called Win MD5 from
http://www.blisstonia.com/software/
The checksum for each file is shown on the download page at
download.novell.com so you can check it downloaded OK.

I am trying to install Reporting Services role on INF155 (SQL Server).

Verified that firewall is off on both servers.

Error Installing Reporting Server

I am trying to install SCOM 2007 R2 Reporting Server so I can upgrade to SCOM 2012. I get this error:
Error 26204 Error-2147217900 Conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier
What is the issue with my install? I am running SCOM 2007 R2 CU7 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 with SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2.If its reporting installation that its failing on, you might want to check this:

It could be you account doesn't have write access to the scom database (you can always try db_owner too)

PVM Installation Problem (install report server)
Hi,
i am trying to install PVM 1.0.2 , but i have the following error:
Installing Report Server:
ERROR: Failed to install report server as user pvmadm. Please check OS
user configuration then try again.
I add pvmadm to root group,except dba group, but i have the same problem.
Any ideas ?

The installation of a Reports Server as a "Windows Service" is no more possible in Oracle Reports 10g R2 :

Start the reports server with the command :
rwsrver server=<server_name> batch=yes
or use opmn to manage the reports server .

Hello, I am trying to upgrade my macbook pro to yosemite, but I get the "disk cannot be used to startup your computer" error.
Resizing the partition does not work for me and I get the error "MediaKit reports no such partition" probably because I installed linux in dual boot and the disk manager is lost.
Anyway to tell the yosemite installer that it should not pay attention whether the disk is bootable or not ?
If I am doomed, any way to delete the installer and downloaded OS from my hard drive ?
Thanks for your helpAs usual, the Linux installer wrecked the partition table. You would have to boot from your OS X installation disc and repartition. Doing so will of course remove all data from the drive, so you must back up first if you haven't already done so.

Error when installing Reports 6i
I am installing Oracle Reports 6i on my laptop. I am getting some error and the installation is interrupted. Here is the error.
netc80.ins(217) FILE_NOT_FOUND while copying tnsnames.ora
I have no idea what is going on. I have downloaded the installation file from OTN and intalled on my PC without any problem. This error is coming only when I am installing reports, I sucessfully installed Forms 6i in the same Laptaop

GeorgeI do not remember the exact steps for 6i installation. But when you installed forms, when it asked to start services and to copy required files, did you click on Yes or No? That should be Yes.
And same steps go for reports. When you are installing reports, only select Oracle Reports from the list of products. See if it works.

Error in report generation-Load report failed
I have installed crystal reports for VS2005 runtime in my live environment.When i try to load the report file from a .Net page i am getting the error'Error in Report generation-Load report failed'.
This works fine in development and testing but when moved to production we are having issues.
I believe i have a workaround i.e i need to open the rpt in a VS 2005 environment and re-write the connection string again.This fix had worked in development and testing when we had the same issue.
But not sure if this is a known issue with crystal reports and if so do we have any hot fixes for the same.

The reason why i posted the item on 'data Connectivity issues' is because i suspect the problem is with the connection string.Though i had provided the correct connection string,re-writing the connection string with the same info might help to fix the issue with loading the report.
Does it mean that there is a problem in the connectivity?
I have a risk here that i cant re-write the connection string..i.e to open the RPT file in VS2005 and bind it.The production web server & database server sits in a third party environment and it is not in the company network.So i cant connect to this server to re-write from any other severs in the network.
Is there any fix which can applied to the server to get this issue resolved?

I have installed Report Builder (latest edition) for windows 2000 server, but my users on windows XP cannot create the report it gives them

VijayYou have to change registry settings by going through REGEDIT. Under hkey_local_machine/software/oracle/<oracle home>, look for variable REPORTS_TMP. Change value for this, for example c:\windows\temp or something like that where you want oracle reports to create temp files.

Unable to install Report Viewer 2012
As part of the SCOM console install I need to install Report Viewer 2012. To install Report Viewer 2012 I need to have Microsoft System CLR Types for SQL Server 2012.
I have installed all versions of CLR Types for SQL Server 2012 that I can find. But I still am not able to install Report Viewer 2012. It errors out when checking for CLR Types for SQL Server 2012.
I have tried every variation of report viewer (2008,2010,20120) and CLR Types for SQL Server (32bit/64bit). I am just not able to install report viewer so I can install the SCOM console.Go to the link below

and then select SQLSysClrTypes. You don't need all the files.
Did this multiple times with the same result. After installing the ClrTypes the Report Viewer still indicates that it is failing that requirement. -

I have installed report generation toolkit full version and i have few example programms in which a function named generate report get data to modify.vi been used but i am unable to find a function pallet called Generate Report get data to modify.vi in my function list and when ever i try to RUN this example programm i get an error saying this function is not executable if i go inside that function again its showing the same error inside that function saying its not executable if any one knows about this VI pls help me

I have installed reporting services with SharePoint Integration Mode, however, whenever I access the report, below error occurs:
