Error installing the App Server 10.1.2.0.3 Metadata Repo Creation Asst
Hi,
I have upgraded the Database from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.4,
ORACLE_HOME=D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1
but while installing the App Server 10.1.2.0.3 Metadata Repo Creation Asst, im encountered with (in the OUI 'Destination' is Name:OracleAS1, Path:C:\OraHome_1)
"There was error while loading the libaray:rgsQueries
1. Stop Installation of all products
2. Stop installation of this component only.
Any help would be great.

Installing Oracle App Server on Linux
Hi,
Has anyone installed the App Server on Linux? Can they tell me if it was difficult, complicated, etc. bearing in mind that I am not a DBA, and have basically no experiance with this sort of stuff at all. So basically what I am asking is can you stick in the CDs and follow the install guide and get it done in half a day or less.
Cheers.I would say that a half a day is grossly underestimating it, by my experience and what you indicate your level of expertise is. I ended up installing, getting to a fail point, uninstalling and re-doing. Some errors are "recoverable", but some do not seem to be (from my experience). I'd make a few recommendations. I have it installed on Mandrake 8.x (latest release, I think), which seems to be "doable" but I'd recommend going with a certified platform if you don't know what you are doing. Also, Mandrake had some quirks like their security management software which resets file permissions "behind the scenes". This was my first experience with Mandrake so it took me a while to figure out which files to edit/fix so that Enterprise manager would get the right data.

I had a NUMBER of problems, some specific to my platform (which is not certified by Oracle, so it's not their fault) and some which were covered in the readme. It took me a while to get everything right and I ended up struggling most with the Infrastructure install. Most likely that was due to my hardware & OS (Mandrake), but there are some issues in the release notes that are important. The reason I would restart many times is that I wanted the installation to go smoothly from start to finish so that I could better understand the requirements, etc. Examples of issues (which includes things from the readme/release notes and otn):
- either install PDKSH or link /bin/bash to /bin/ksh. /bin/ksh is listed in one of the scripts as the shell during installation configuration. This should be in the installation guide as a pre-requisite.
- install the sysstat package so the enterprise manager will show graphs, etc. This should be in the installation guide as a pre-requisite.
- link (symbolic) your perl binary to /usr/local/bin/perl
- I received numerous link errors due to two problems:
- genclntsh didn't have a good link command for my platform. There seems to be two work-arounds posted around here, but I chose to add -lgcc and -L/path/to/gcclib on the ld line. E-mail me if you want more details ([email protected]). My path was something like: /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-mandrake-linux-gnu/2.96 where I found the libgcc.a
- Reports server and Forms server failed because the link line was linking to libXm.2.1.so instead of libXm.2.0.1.so (or libXm.2.so, etc). The development team evidently used a later version of Motif than I had, so I fixed it in the forms and reports makefiles, respectively.
I can't remember, offhand, what else I had to do, but this covers it. Obviously, a lot of this depends upon the type of install you choose. I wanted the reports server, which requires the infrastructure, etc.

I bought the Solaris 9 media which brought the iPlanet servers. When installing the app server, I was asked for a key in a welcome letter. I don't seem to have one. How can I get the key to install the servers

When i try to install iPlanet App Server on NT, I do not get screen to enter license key valid for evaluation.
Also during installation screens an error window is displayed saying "cache File Read error -- Could not read ProductKey entry from the cache file "Hi,
I also get the following message:
"Could not read ProductKey entry from the cache file"
I have no idea how to provide the installation software with the key. I also tried "keycheck.exe"
Do you have a solution for this problem? Did you finish the installation?

Adobe LiveCycle ES 8.2 Installation Error can't configure the App Server from Config Manager
Hello All-
We are trying to install the Adobe LiveCycle ES 8.2 SP2 and we are getting some issues while configuring the Application Server from the Config Manager, not sure why are those showing up, we never had these issues before when we installed 8.0, please look at the lcm log and the screenshot I provided for the errors which we are getting.
We are trying to configure the remote Application Server WebSphere on Linux from my machine which is on Windows and i made the target Application Server as WebSphere and target platform as linux when i initially installed the livecycle media.
The LCM logs say it failed to run the jacl scripts in the LiveCycle root directory and we wonder why is it pointing for the target Application Server to the Application Server which resides on my machine rather than it should point to the one on server. I am not sure what's going on and we did exactly what we did for 8.0.
Below are the environment details where we are trying to install.
Adobe LiveCycle ES: 8.2 SP2
Database: IBM DB2 9.1 FP4.
JVM Version and Vendor: 1.5.0 IBM Corporation
Application server: IBM WebSphere Application Server/6.1.0.19
Operating System: Linux
Hardware: x86 .
Any help will be appreciated!

Even i was facing the same issue but i was able to resolve it.
Although the earlier reply from karthik_chowdary was sent way back in 2008 and i think would have got resolved till now, but still the resolution which i have found is
The port i was using on the app server conf screen was that of application server HTTP Port.
But here in case of WebSphere ND, we need to use port specified in WAS UI > System administrator > Deployment manager > Ports
Try using that by default it is 8879.
And this resolved the issue.

I can't install the Application Server 8: ERROR - default domain creation
I am using Windows XP SP2 Spanish Version and I am trying to install Application Server 8. In fact, I installed with no problems first time. But then I had problems to start up the App server. I uninstalled the APP server and installed again and I got the following log with an error:

ERROR - default domain creation returned following exception: abnormal subprocess termination: Detailed Message:La sintaxis del comando no es correcta.
(in english is something like "syntax error")

Installer tries to execute the command that I listed above (obviously with the values you specified on the installer screens) and the error message seems to be suggesting that there is a syntax error in C:\Sun\AppServer\bin\asadmin.bat. -
I've been trying to install recent updates for numbers, pages, and keynote, I get a message that says "There was an error in the App store. Please try again later." (20). I tried several times over the last few days and continue to get the same error message.

I signed up to lastPass premium and installed the app on my phone. I can no longer download mail. I am asked for a password (I give my normal log-in) but it is not recognised and says there is a domain error. Can anybody help please
Try deleting that app, then see if you have the same issue.

When I bought my Macbook Pro on Thursday I also purchased Pages whilst in the Apple store in town. The assistant helped me start the installation whilst I was there and he told me that it would continue when I got home, even if i shut the laptop down there. So this is what I did, however, since I've been home, every time I click Install on Pages in the App Store a message comes up saying : "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later."
Another thing I should mention is that I purchased Pages on a different Apple ID account when I was in the store, but I was told I only had to log in to that account from my Macbook Pro and I could easily download Pages.Simple solution:
Go back to the apple store and say that you couldn't download pages
Or you can let me remotely control your screen which I'm sure your not going to do the reason that I would control your screen was because I have bought iWork 09 and I could install pages on your MBP using my apple id -
Hi - in the app store, I've logged in with no problem, but when I go into my existing purchases and have INSTALL next to everything I've bought, and try to click on them it says;
"There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (100)".
I've tried restarting, clearing all caches, buying and downloading new apps (which works), and also buying and downloading more music from iTunes too (so I update all T&C's etc too, and update all payment info). Please try deleting the following sub folder to see if this will work:
C:\users\(my profile)\AppData\Local\Microsoft_Corporation
If you can't see AppData folder, you could use following steps to show hidden files:
1. Open an explorer window, hit "ALT-T" choose Folder Options then go to the view tab.
2. Turn on Show hidden files, folders or drives and
disable Hide protected Operating System files (recommended).
