Error installing the HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dn over the network.

- Printer Model: HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401 dn.
- Operating System: Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
- Connection Method – LAN.
Добрый день. Купили принтер HP LaserJet Pro 400. При установке принтера по сети драйвер не находит принтер при сканировании сети даже при указании IP принтера. При установке принтера через устройства и принтеры, установка зависает на соединении с устройством. Веб панель принтера при этом доступна и работает. Пробовали все драйвера принтера PCL6, PCL5, PS, Universal Driver PCL6, PCL5, PS принтера по прежнему не видно. Так же пробовали установку с другой системы Windows 7 с соответствующим драйвером.
Пробовали ставить драйвер с выключенным принтером. Драйвер установился принтер печатает но: в диспетчере появляется процесс который грузит все напрочь прилагаю фото:
Good afternoon. Purchased the printer HP LaserJet Pro 400. When you install the printer on the network driver does not find the printer when scanning the network even when you specify the printer's IP. When you install the printer through devices and printers, the installation hangs on the connection to the device. Website of the printer when it is accessible and running. Tried all the printer driver PCL6, PCL5, PS, Universal Driver PCL6, PCL5, PS printer is still not in sight. Just tried to install another system Windows 7 with the appropriate driver.Tried to put the driver turned off the printer. Install the printer driver prints but: Manager appears in a process that will ship all completely enclose a photo:

  • LaserJet Pro 400 M401dn - 79 SERVICE ERROR

    We have only had this printer less than a year and I am getting a 79 SERVICE ERROR.  I have power cycled, unplugged and all the normal tries... no go.  It will print the menu map but will not accept a print job from a user. I try to get to the printer page on HP.com but it errors out so I cannot get to any of the support docs for the model.  Anyone out there have a suggestion? 

    I ran into this same problem with the LaserJet M401dn. I noticed this issue occured when the printer was hooked up to the PC via USB. I followed HPs steps on trying to fix this problem and needless to say, their steps weren't worth a hill of beans. The printer is working now now via these steps that I'm going to list. 1) Restart the printer with only the power cord being attached. If you're STILL getting the 79 error service, then it is most likely a firmware issue. Luckily for me it wasn't. The printer started right up as it should.2) If your printer starts right up, attach an Ethernet cable from the printer to your router/switch/DSL or cable modem.3) Select the Network icon on your printer screen and check to see if your printer has authenticated to the network and lists an IP address. If you're on a home network the IP address will show something like 192.168.x.xx. 4) Once connected to the network you'll run a firmware update. Click on your Settings icon, select LaserJet Update, Check for Updates Now. Continue by selecting the update and download and install. After the firmware installs, at this point you might be able to get the printer to work by hooking the USB cable back up to the printer. I on the other hand did  a couple other steps before hooking the printer back up. 5) I installed all of the Windows Updates (critical), updated Java6) Uninstalled the HP printer software for the M401dn and restarted the PC7) THIS STEP IS NOT FOR THOSE THAT AREN'T FAMILIAR WITH EDITING THE REGISTRY. If you have no knowledge of how to edit your registry, then PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT this. Have someone with knowledge do this step. I, nor HP can be held responsible for any mistakes that you make with this step. DO AT YOUR OWN RISK. In the registry I searched for Packard and deleted all Keys or entries that had M401 listed. DO NOT DELETE THE KEY IF IT DOESN'T LIST M401, as there are Hewlett-Packard printer drivers that are built into the operating system and they do show up in the registry.I ran through the registry twice searching for any sign of the printer driver being installed. Restart the computer again.8) Reinstall the HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401 Printer Series PCL6 Print Driver that is relevant to your PC. (Sorry, I don't know how to deal with Macs.) DON'T download the Full Software and Drivers or the one WITHOUT the installer. Don't use the disc to install the drivers either. Just download the most recent version of the software from HPs website. Install the software and attach the printer when asked to do so. Hopefully you're golden at this point just like I was! If for some reason this doesn't work for you, I would format your hard drive and reinstall Windows and all of your software. Apparently there is something within the registry or on your computer that is keeping the printer from working. I hope this helps you all out!

    I have a truble when try to config my printer HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dne.
    I chose a default button on device  <<  OK >>
    Choce "config networking" when put into manual mode.
    IP                111.011.011.180
    mask          255.255.255.0
    gateway    111.011.011.222
    Printer type "configuration save".
    When i try to print default report about Network config.
    Print 2 pages.   And all table in page is "null".
    In fill " Number IPv4" - "null"
    Why printer dont save Network configuratin ?

    Good time of day. I have a problem with the printer. It should be the latest firmware of the printer. The printer goes into standby mode. Send a print job, the printer comes out of sleep mode. And for a long time thinking and prints. About page per minute print. Turn off then turn it on and it starts to work normally. Help me.

  • Can't see tray 3 in the settings on Laserjet Pro 400

    I just bought an Hp Laserjet Pro 400 M401dne with the extra tray (CF284A).
    I can see the tray in the going at 192.168.1.113 but i can't see it in the windows printer settings...i see only tray 1 (manual feeding), tray 1, tray 2. No tray 3.
    Can you suggest something please?

    I'd recommend talking to someone at HP support.  I have a copy of the instructions to install the 500 sheet tray but it is only picture format.  There is no wording to tell you what happens next.  I assume that the accessory add-on try has some pin or connector that lets the printer and system know that you added an additional tray.  Perhaps the detecting mechanism could be not working.

  • Driver Windows XP for HP Laserjet Pro 400 MFP M425dn

    I have a problem installing the driver HP Laserjet Pro 400 MFP M425dn for Windows XP Profesional SP 3. 
    At the beginning of the installation appears error message "HP CSI Shell - found an error" but the installation continues, but after a few seconds the following message appears "HP installer - found error". The installation continues, and soon appears a message that says "Click the" Install "to install the driver," I click the button "install" and appears the message "encountered a fatal error that prevents the use of the product".
    What's the problem? every time one and the same set of error in the printer to the operating system Windows XP.
    With other operating systems is no problem

  • 2nd fax won't work at Laserjet Pro 400 MFP M425DN

    I have recently bought the HP Laserjet Pro 400 MFP M425DN, which is working almost fine.
    The problem is when i do want to send a fax, it will send it, but after that the second fax won't be able to send. I just get the message 'communication error'.  Also, the beep-sound the machine makes when you normally push a button on the touchscreen, becomes REALLY soft instead of a hard beep.
    The only way to solve this problem is to open the papertray and close it again. This is annoying due the fact that i have to send more than one fax a at time.

  • HP Laserjet Pro 400 color printer M451dn Driver needed

    I need to install an HP Laserjet Pro 400 color printer.  When I plug in the USB - it provides a driver which I can open and get to the install process -  The process takes me to the point of plugging in the USB and starts to install.
    After 10 minutes and getting to 99% complete the install stops because it is taking to long.
    I have searched for the driver on the web site but when I click on the printer name - the HP web site goes into an
    Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
    Need help with installing this printer - this printer is only available to me by USB

    If you are using non-HP toner cartridges, then I would say that the onus is on the supplier of these to resolve the problem.
    Or to accept that these cartridges aren't quite as compatible as they've no doubt been advertised to be.

    While trying to copy some documents, display shows the following errors:
    1.-  Service error 49.  I'd review on a downloaded owner manual what to do and no more messages. After I restarted the printer shows the following error.
    2.- Service error 79. I'd followed the the owners manual once again and the problem was solved, then I discovered that the upper paper tray send the message to remove clogged paper, I'd removed the paper and then when I try to make a copy the printer showed me on display the scanner number 6 error.
    I want to check the upper tray assy to avoid broken parts cause the tray stared to do a rattling sound...
    what should I do?.

    I have a laserjet pro 400 mfp m425dn that keeps giving "install black cartridge" message.  I mistakenly thought it was calling for a new cartridge so I ordered one and installed it.  It still gives the message.  I could not find anything out of place.  I did notice that the left side of the cartridge is slightly raised.  (may be my imagination because it is very slight.)  Any suggestions???

    I see you're experiencing issues installing the printer software. I will do my best to assist you with this issue.
    I would disable all the start up programs and temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software and any Real Time Scanning in the Antivirus Software also, to see if that is causing the issue. How to use MSCONFIG . Click on the Startup tab and click Disable all, Then click the Services tab and check Hide All Microsoft Services.
    Restart the computer.
    Disconnect the USB cable from the printer.
    Run the uninstall from the CD.
    Go start, computer, right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.
    Make sure that the print spooler service is running.
    Right-click Print Spooler, and then click Properties.
    If the Startup type is set to Manual or Disabled, click the drop-down list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.
    Under Service status, click Stop and then Start, and then click OK.
    Run the installation again and don't connect the cable until prompted.
    Test the printer.
    Then you will have to go back and enable the Startup programs, Microsoft Services and turn the Antivirus Software back on again.
