Proceed as follows:

3. Change LANGUAGE to AMERICAN.
4. Restart sql developer.
Not help. What more can I do?

OCI, java.lang.ArithmeticException: / by zero
Hi,
Could someone help me with this?
I'm using OCI driver, because database character set is user-defined.
There is no problem with connection, but if I open any database objects list or execute any statement I've got this exception:

I dig into JVM using VisualVM and find out that oracle.jdbc.driver.T2CConnection.conversion (DBConversion.java) has property sMaxCharSize=0.
When I'm connecting to other DB (wihtout user defined charset) this property has value 1 and everything is ok.
Other DB tools like Squirell SQL, PL/SQL Developer works fine so maybe there is a bug in Oracle SQL Developer?.This seems more like a bug in the JDBC driver than in SQL Developer itself.
Try replacing the JDBC driver in SQLDEVELOPER_INSTALL_DIR\jdbc\lib with the very latest version from OTN.
You may also want to try upgrading your OCI client to latest and if you still got the problem then better raise a SR on Metalink/MOS if you have a DB support contract. -

at weblogic.work.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java:178)It is possible Java 1.3 was not so perdantic. ALso it is easy to write prgrams with bugs in them which just happen to work the way they are used. Doing things a little differently reveals the bug.
The problem comes from the use of new BigDecimal(double). This gives a faithful reproduction of the underlying double value. Many methods which convert double to another type allow for a small rounding error in the double, this constructor does not.
Even a simple value like 0.1 has a small rounding error for double type. Normally this is not obvious, with BigDecimal it is.
double d = 0.1;
System.out.println("d= " + Double.toString(d));
BigDecimal bd = new BigDecimal(d);
System.out.println("bd= " + bd);
BigDecimal bd2 = BigDecimal.valueOf(d);
System.out.println("bd2= " + bd2);prints
d= 0.1
bd= 0.1000000000000000055511151231257827021181583404541015625
bd2= 0.1As you can see the second method for converting a double doesn't have this round issue for this value. This might be a temping option and it might work most of the time, however using setScale() with a rounding option will work every time. -
Sir,
I am using the following code and get subjected error.
{error}{
java.lang.NumberFormatException: empty String
at sun.misc.FloatingDecimal.readJavaFormatString(FloatingDecimal.java:1011)
at java.lang.Double.parseDouble(Double.java:540)
at invoice.InvoiceController$4.changed(InvoiceController.java:192)
}{error}
and
//wt , sValExlSt1 and sPrice1 are numbers
wt1.textProperty().addListener(new ChangeListener<String>() {
public void changed(ObservableValue<? extends String> observable, String oldValue, String newValue) {
sValExlSt1.setText(String.valueOf(
Double.parseDouble(newValue) * Double.parseDouble(sPrice1.getText())));
} catch (NumberFormatException e1) {
}Please help.One way is to check each input variable for valid numbers and if a blank or a text is detected, then make that variable zero.
wt1.textProperty().addListener(new ChangeListener<String>() {
public void changed(ObservableValue<? extends String> observable, String oldValue, String newValue) {
final double doubleTXTValue = 0.0;
final double doubleNewValue = 0.0;
try {doubleTXTValue = Double.parseDouble(sPrice1.getText());} catch(Exception e) {}
try {doubleNewValue = Double.parseDouble(newValue);} catch(Exception e) {}
sValExlSt1.setText(String.valueOf(
doubleNewValue * doubleTXTValue));
});The above code will make sure the user does not enter invalid double values of any type.
You can take this further by inserting the old value of the variables or presenting an error to the user.
If only blank values need to be checked then you can use a more simplistic check by just checking for blanks.
wt1.textProperty().addListener(new ChangeListener<String>() {
public void changed(ObservableValue<? extends String> observable, String oldValue, String newValue) {
final double doubleTXTValue = 0.0;
final double doubleNewValue = 0.0;
if (sPrice1.getText().trim().length() > 0) doubleTXTValue = Double.parseDouble(sPrice1.getText());
if (newValue.trim().length() > 0) doubleNewValue = Double.parseDouble(newValue);
sValExlSt1.setText(String.valueOf(
doubleNewValue * doubleTXTValue));
}); -

While opening SXMB_IFR i am getting a error Java.lang.noclassFounderror
U have installed SAP XI in my laptop while opening
SXMB_IFR i am getting a error Java.lang.noclassFounderror
so i not able to go further please help me
thanking you
sridharHi,
There are number of ways to do that :
1. Try this url
http://<host-name or IP address of XI server>:<java Port number)>/rep/start/index.jsp
If this is successful that means your J2EE server and services are fucntioning fine. The problem could then be on the ABAP stack.
2. Can you start visual admin tool and check that all the services are running. You might have to manually start those which have not automatically started. Check the connectivity with all system & server (inc n/w) & Register the hostserver entry in your sys32/ host file
e.g 10.2.4.56 <server name>
3. Have you download java sdk 1.4 on you laptop?
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
also have a look at this sap note: 801868
(make sure not to install the 1.5 version of JWS. XI does not work properly with the 1.5 version)
4. Lastly, u might have some problem with ur JRE installation. In that case i would sugesst you to re-install JRE/ Java WebStart.
This blog may help you to analyze the errors-

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to intergrate Dotnet DLL with coldfusion. The basic perpose of this DLL is putting value in cache.
My code is working fine on my local machine but it giving me problem on live server.
It is throwing "java.lang.NullPointerException" error.
Description of task:-
DLL:-
made in : Dotnet 3.0
Functions:-
setCache:- setting a string into cache.
getCache:- getting value from cache.
ClearCache:- Clearing all value from Cache.
Local Machine:-
OS: window server 2003
Coldfusion version :MX8
coldfusion Product level:-Developer
Result:-Task is working fine.No error what so ever.
Live server:-
OS: window server 2003
Coldfusion version :MX8
coldfusion Product level:-Standred
Result:-Task is throwing error "java.lang.NullPointerException"Thanks for your response, but surely if the .NET Services was not running how can CF instantiate and dump the object with all the correct methods?
Anyway for some strange reason there is no Coldfusion .NET service in my services control panel even though I am running CF8. I have since downloaded the .NET service installer, run it and done a restart but I can still see no such service and the error continues?
I am running CF8 Dev on IIS 6 – Window XP pro and here is debug

Keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Keystore file does not exist:
Hi All,
While listing the keystore using the command keytool -list, I got the error message that
keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Keystore file does not exist: C:\Documents and Settings\subramanian.arivalag\.keystore
I noticed there is no file .keystore in the above mentioned directory. What's this .keystore file? Will it be created automatically or should we create manually?
Already I created a keystore using -genkey command and received CA authority also.
Kindly provide me more details about .keystore file and how to handle this error.If you specified a keystore filename when you created the keystore
i.e. keytool -genkey -alias jboss-ssl -keyalg RSA -keystore my_name.keystore -validity 3650
then you need to specify the same keystore when you export the cert
i.e. keytool -export -alias jboss-ssl -keystore my_name.keystore file my_name.cer -
Error in file-webservice- file (Error: java.lang.NullPointerException)
Hi everybody,
I have configured a file-webservice-file without BPM scenario...as explained by Bhavesh in the following thread:
File - RFC - File without a BPM - Possible from SP 19.
I have used a soap adapter (for webservice) instead of rfc .My input file sends the date as request message and gets the sales order details from the webservice and then creates a file at my sender side.
1 communication channel for sender file
1 for receiver soap
1 for receiver file
Error: java.lang.NullPointerException
What could be the reason for this error
thanks a lot
RamyaHi Tanaya,
I monitored the channels in the Runtime work bench and the error is in the sender ftp channel.The other 2 channel status is "not used" in RWB.
1 sender ftp channel
1 receiver soap channel
1 receiver ftp channel.

Hello XI Xpert's,
I am following below SDN blog to generate file module...
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/da5675d1-0301-0010-9584-f6cb18c04805
I have done all steps as mentioned using NWDS. We have sucessfully deployed same on J2EE engine using SDM. SDM logs shows that it is sucessfully deployed.
I have configured Sender File adapter to call my customised module.( Called before standard file module).
But when I checked in RWB, its gives me error :

If I do not put any file in respective folder status of Sender Communication channel shows as green...as soon as put any file in folder its getting red with above mention error.
I have gone thru almost all SDN blogs/thread ..I also tried to debug code as mentioned in thread..Error in Module Processing- java.lang.NullPointerException
But unfortunately it never goes to that point...hence never updates Log.
In audit log I am getting same message..
2007-08-27 12:42:50 Error Attempt to process file failed with null
2007-08-27 12:42:50 Error Attempt to process file failed with java.lang.NullPointerException

2007-08-27 12:42:52 Error Attempt to process file failed with null
2007-08-27 12:42:52 Error Attempt to process file failed with java.lang.NullPointerException
But could not find my Custom Message... There is any way by which I can check if its calling my Custom Module itself?
There is any setting / parameters which we need to do on J2EE engine in order to activate call to custome module?
Any help would be really appreciated.
NileshIt is strange, but in that document of yours it never says anything about the JNDI name in the ejb-j2ee-engine.xml file.
Check this doc here:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/3bdc14e1-0901-0010-b5a9-a01e29d75a6a
According to it, if you properly configure the ejb-j2ee-engine.xml file, then you'd call your module using "localejbs/<JNDIName>".

Error: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError when uploading CSV files to web server
Hi experts,
I have made a JSP page from which clients load csv files to web server. I am using Tomca 4.1 as my web server and JDK 1.3.1_09.
The system works fine when uploadiing small csv files, but it crashes when uploading large CSV files.
It gives me the following error:
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
<<no stack trace available>>
This is the code that I used to load files....
<%
String saveFile = "";
String contentType = request.getContentType();
if ((contentType != null) && (contentType.indexOf("multipart/form-data") >= 0))
DataInputStream in = new DataInputStream(request.getInputStream());
int formDataLength = request.getContentLength();
byte dataBytes[] = new byte[formDataLength];
int byteRead = 0;
int totalBytesRead = 0;
while (totalBytesRead < formDataLength)
byteRead = in.read(dataBytes, totalBytesRead, formDataLength);
totalBytesRead += byteRead;
String file = new String(dataBytes);
saveFile = file.substring(file.indexOf("filename=\"") + 10);
saveFile = saveFile.substring(0, saveFile.indexOf("\n"));
saveFile = saveFile.substring(saveFile.lastIndexOf("\\") + 1,saveFile.indexOf("\""));
int lastIndex = contentType.lastIndexOf("=");
String boundary = contentType.substring(lastIndex + 1,contentType.length());
int pos;
pos = file.indexOf("filename=\"");
pos = file.indexOf("\n", pos) + 1;
pos = file.indexOf("\n", pos) + 1;
pos = file.indexOf("\n", pos) + 1;
int boundaryLocation = file.indexOf(boundary, pos) - 4;
int startPos = ((file.substring(0, pos)).getBytes()).length;
int endPos = ((file.substring(0, boundaryLocation)).getBytes()).length;
String folder = "f:/Program Files/Apache Group/Tomcat 4.1/webapps/broadcast/file/";
//String folder = "10.28.12.58/bulksms/";
FileOutputStream fileOut = new FileOutputStream(folder + saveFile);
//out.print("Saved here: " + saveFile);
//fileOut.write(dataBytes);
fileOut.write(dataBytes, startPos, (endPos - startPos));
fileOut.flush();
fileOut.close();
out.println("File loaded successfully");
//f:/Program Files/Apache Group/Tomcat 4.1/webapps/sms/file/
%>
Please can anyone help me solve this problem for me...
Thanx...
DeepakI know it may be hard to throw away all this code, but consider using the jakarta fileupload component.
I think it would simplify your code down to
// Create a factory for disk-based file items
FileItemFactory factory = new DiskFileItemFactory();
// Create a new file upload handler
ServletFileUpload upload = new ServletFileUpload(factory);
// Parse the request
List /* FileItem */ items = upload.parseRequest(request);
// Process the uploaded items
Iterator iter = items.iterator();
while (iter.hasNext()) {
FileItem item = (FileItem) iter.next();
if (item.isFormField()) {
processFormField(item);
} else {
// item is a file. write it
File saveFolder = application.getRealPath("/file");
File uploadedFile = new File(saveFolder, item.getName());
item.write(uploadedFile);
}Most of this code was hijacked from http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/fileupload/using.html
Check it out. It will solve your memory problem by writing the file to disk temporarily if necessary.
