Error Launching BPC Adminstrator & BPC Web

Hi All,
I have just installed BPC 5.1 and getting the following error when trying to launch BPC Administrator & BPC Web
"DetailMsg : {Index (zero based) must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument list.}"

A Simple Restart did the magic.

Cannot launch BPC Web Page

Hi all,
I just installed BPC7 for MS. i was able to complete the requirements, and successfully install BPC7 on windows 2003 and MS SQL 2008. however, i cannot access the BPC home page, http://servername:8080/osoft.
I am able to view http://servername:8080/Reports and http://servername:8080/ReportServer.
I encounter NO errors whenever i run Server Manager Diagnostics for BPC. I checked the services, and all are started, I changed the values in IIS as stated in the manual. I have restarted the machine also.

I am able to launch the BPC Home page now. First, I repaired my ASP.net config for IIS
To repair IIS mappings for ASP.NET using Aspnet_regiis.exe
From the Start menu, click Run.
In the Open box in the Run dialog box, type cmd, and then click OK.
At the command prompt in the new window, type the following line:
"%systemroot%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\version\aspnet_regiis.exe" u2013i
where version is 1.1.4322
second, i changed the port no. in the web.config file found under the BPC installation directory:
<add key="AppServer_URL" value="http://SAPBPCDEV:PORT/OSoft/app"/>
<add key="AppServer_AUTH" value="2"/>
the port no. should be the same as the port no. configured in IIS.
So relieved now after 2days of troubleshooting! Thanks!

In contrast, if entered by the Client or BPC Excel interface I can validate without problems.
I tried with many users, and in all cases is the same.
BPC in the diagnosis of server, It is all ok
My environment is a migration of BPC7.0 NW BPC7.5 sp5 IIS 6 to IIS6 NW

Work Status --ABAP error at BPC Web Interface

Hi,
I'm receiving an error in the Web Interface for adjusting
the Work Status settings. When selecting Active CV or Another CV and
then clicking on the arrow at right the error message that pops up
says:

Error retrieving data from the web server in Excel fo BPC

Hello Everybody,
I'm working with BPC v7.5 , i created some reports with the EVDRE formula and they were working perfectly.
The problem started when i created new users, that in fact have the same access profile and task profile as my user.
i started to test these new users in excel and every time i expand the report this legend appears: " EVDRE Retrying... EVDRE encountered an error retrieving data from the Web Server. Retrying in (X) Seconds...". After waiting a while a push cancel, then appears a window with the legend: Ev4excel Addin, Errors found retriening data.
The funny thing is that when i login back to my user everything works fine again, any idea what could be the problem? the other user have the same permissions.

very strange. Normally the member access profile must be diifferent. So it is not important the task profile but the member access profile. Can you please double check ?
If you are doing a simple EVDRE with users having problems is it working or you still have problems?

BPC 5.0.502 BPC Web Error Message: Exxception of Type System out of memory

In the process of updating a web page in the content library, page crashed received an error message of "Exception of type System out of memory. Exception was throw". What does this mean? We are now unable to open this sheet without receiving the prior message. Any remadies would be appreciated.

    Did you receive this specific error message only managing that web page or for all pages?
    Did you try to stop all COM+ components on the application servers(on each if you are using more). It looks to be related to some memory problems.
    If the problem is related to a specific web page, the problem can be related to the content of that web page.

Problem Launching BPC for Excel in Terminal Services/Citrix Environment

Hello.
We are having an issue launching BPC in our terminal services/citrix environment. This is not the main way that users will be accessing BPC, but we plan to have it available for off-hours/off-site use.
Here are details on our environment.
1) BPC version: 5.0.502 (5.1, SP3, patch 4)
2) Env: 1 web/app server, 1 database server
3) SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition, SP2
4) Problem occurs sporadically for any user.
In some instances, launching BPC for Excel does not bring up the connection wizard, instead, an error message displays saying "Object Variable is not set". We then logoff, delete the terminal services profile, and logon again, forcing the creation of a new terminal services profile, and BPC for Excel will launch the connection wizard as expected. So it seems that the terminal services profile sometimes gets corrupted. Does someone know which Windows registry key would cause this situation so we can determine the root problem? Deleting the profile is not a practical permanent solution. This is only an issue in terminal services/citrix, no other environment.
I opened this with support, but they said it's my problem. I'd appreciate any ideas to solve this. Thanks, Nancy

Cannot Launch BPC Management Console

Hi all,
I am unable to launch the BPC management console. I have installed BPC 7.0 for MS and is running under Win server 2003 and SQL 2008. I am able to launch to BPC home page and have installed admin and office clients already.

I think something was not right during the steps when you enabled Management Console.
Any way I suggest you to check if you have the table tbllogs and tblBPClog into appserver database.
It seems actually some components or some table required for Management COnsole are missing.

UJP_EXCEPTION_050 error in BPC NW 10

When running Ownership calculation in BPC Web, the following error message comes up
UJP_EXCEPTION_050 No range round for percentage in method table is generated.

How to Calculate Ownership Data
1. Input Percent Control and Percent Ownership data into the Ownership
    Model.
     In the example below, you can see the web input form that was used.
     The Holding company (C9000) has 55 Percent Control over Germany and
     Germany(C1000) has 40 Percent Control over UK(C2000).
     The Holding company (C9000) has 70 Percent Ownership over Germany
     and Germany has 60 Percent Ownership over UK.
     Note: Percent Control is the description of the POWN account and
              Percent Ownership is the description of the POWN account.
     Note: The data is recorded against the Plan category since it is a test.
              An Excel input schedule could be used to enter the data as well.
2. Enter the Methods data as you see below for Share Range and Applicable
    Percent.

     Ownership calculations can now be executed and the system will propose
     which method to use based on Percent Control for example.
     Note: 0.75<,<=1.00 is interpreted as Greater than .75 but less than
               or equal to 1.00.
3. Access the Ownership Manger in edit mode.

4. Add the members as shown below to the G_CG1 group.
Select the Consolidation Methods as shown below and save the data.

5. Calculate the Percent Control - Generated and Percent Ownership -
Generated values using the Direct Share Method.

This effectively copies the data entered in step one to the Percent Control -
Generated and Percent Ownership - Generated ownership accounts.
6. Calculate the Percent Control - Generated and Percent Ownership -
Generated values using the Group Share Method.

The Group Share of C2000 is 22% Percent Control since C1000 only has
55% control (.55 x .40 = .22).
The Group Share of C2000 is 42% Percent Control since C1000 only has
70% ownership (.70 x .60 = .42).
7. Overwrite the Percent Ownership - Current using the Group Share Method.

8. Update the Method, Percent Consolidation, and Percent Ownership values
using the Group Share Method.

falls between the range of .25 to .75 specified in the Methods above.
The Method for C2000 is updated to Equity since its Percent Control falls

falls between the range of .25 to .75 specified in the Methods above.
The Percent Control for C2000 is updated to .25 since its Percent Control
falls between the range of .00 to .25 specified in the Methods above.
9. Update the methods and percentages based on the Direct Share Method

BPC Web Page not access from Client

Dear Experts,
We have BPC QA system installed in multi environment DB server and APP server,
the issue is :
the BPC Web Page is able to access from App server localhost (http://appserver IP/osoft/)
but client not able to access the BPC Web Page from the client machine
it showing error bellow . I have check the security and .Net version in IIS and compare with BPC development which is installed in single environment without any issue, Kindly need advice on what
need to be check in the APP Server and DB server.

Hi,
This error usually means that the user doesnt have the proper authorizations. So please login to the appset with the ADMIN ID and check the task profile and the member access profile of the user. Assign appropriate authorizations.

How to post a XCelsius in the BPC Web Application Getting Started page

Hi Experts,
I'm new using BPC 7.5 on NetWeaver. When opening the Getting Started tab in the BPC Web Application there is a white page that I would want to fill with content. This content should be a XCelsius Dashboard linked to the Query or InfoCube on which I`m planning. Creating the XCelsius Dashboard is not the problem, but to insert it in the Getting Started panel of the BPC Web application. Has anyone an idea how to do it or how to proceed. Ideas or a little how-to would be perfect.

Error with BPC transport

Hi All,
We encounter an error transporting BPC dimensions. The error is raised when importing into the target system. All dimensions are imported fine, except the 10 dimensions that are use in one specific model.
Error in Admin module or a component used by Admin module
Failed to update dimension /CPMB/PMD0348, source prefix: PM, target prefix PM.
Failed to import entity Dimension, ID:D_DATASRC
Any ideas on this?

Do you know what that transport is changing in target Model/Dimensions?
Can you also run Data Checker in the target system to see if there are any issues with he Model/Dimensions?

BPC Web - create Web ready files

Hi,
Using BPC Web (my system BPC 75 SP04, MS version) how can I create a web page using one of my Excel templates (the ones created for the application, to upload data)...
I've tried searching the templates inside Web ready Files but doesnt work for me... the only files available that appear are Temp.txt
