Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
There is probably something not quite right about the file...having a file extension of WMA does not necessarily mean what is inside is compatible. Here is a link to the media file compatibility matrix...
http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB05482&sliceId=1&docTy...
Also -- are the files all from the same source? Or from different sources. If the same source, then it could be a transcoding incompatibility at the source. If different sources, then I'm not sure...

  • IOS 6.0.1 Safari won't play audio files. Error: "Cannot play audio file."

I recently updated my iPad to iOS 6.0.1, now Safari won't play audio files in any format. Error: "Cannot play audio file." Previously, it worked fine. I tried downloading and using GoogleChrome and Opera Mini, and these also won't play audio. What's up??

Solved the problem. It seems that once iOS 6.0.1 installed, it caused all of my browsers to mishandle audio files. When I reset the iPad, that cleared up the problem.
Before upgrading to iOS 6, my browsers would "autoplay" the sound files. After iOS 6, "autoplay" is disabled so you have to manually click play to play them.
Nonetheless, everything is working fine again except for "autoplay," which I can live with.

Are you loading your Applet from a webserver? You could make the sound file available through the same webserver.
Alternatively, you could package the sound with the code in a JAR. It does mean a bigger download for your Applet users though, but the Applet would be able to access the file quickly.
If you put your file in the JAR, say in /sound/myfile.ext , then you can get access to it from your code like this:
    URL soundURL = getClass().getResource( " /sound/myfile.ext" );

  • Can't play iTune file I received by email in iTunes?

I received an iTune audio file by email but I can't play the file nor import the file into the library. If I click on the file it opens iTunes but nothing else happens. Any suggestions?

Did you bounce at 44.1kHz, 16 bit? AIFF or AAC or MP3 should be fine for iTunes, but sample rate and bit depth is important.

  • Error in playing .flv files

    Hi,
    I'm new in FMS
Recently, i create an application to record videos from my camera and recorded it
But, when i tried to play it in an HTML, i met errors.
The .flv jumps to the end when the progress is in the middle. And i tried to play in an .exe, it plays well.
Could anyone help me to solve this problem? Is it the error from the .swf player in the HTML?
    Regards.

Thank you for your reply. I have another question: If I had recorded a
stream video using rtmp, should i play it using rtmp? Or http is also fine?
    Regards,

    2011/3/8 Amit Kumar <[email protected]>
Its very difficult to say where is the issue unless we know about test.swf,
how it is subscribing to server to fetch the flv file. Is it possible for
you to paste here some code for test.swf. Issue is probably in test.swf as
it is playing fine with exe.

  • "Connection error" while playing video file ?

    Hello,
I have created a project in Captivate 5.5, Integrated a Video in it, Its working fine when both are in same folder. Now I changed the video url to http://mysite.com?q=filename, I see player shows "Loading..." some time then shows "Connection error", I checked it with http sniffer, video downloaded successfully but can't play in it.
So please let me know is it bug or any workarround to solve it.
I think query paramaters are not working in Video URL.
    Thanks in advance,
    Laxmilal Menaria

OK.  What might be happening here is that Captivate expects the URL to be in a particular format and it could be that the way your URL is structured is not compatible with what Captivate expects.
Take a look at this blog post from the Adobe blogs:http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/2011/03/workaround-for-video-streaming-issues-in-captivat e.html
It might give you some pointers about the way that the URL needs to be set up.

  • HT204406 On Phase 3, I keep getting hung up with a Dialog box that says " itunes file cannot be saved.  You do not have enough access privileges.  Does anyone know what this means and how to solve it?

I amy trying to complete IMatch, but on PHase 3, I get the error message: The itunes file cannot be saved.  You do not have enough access privileges for this operation.  Does anyone have the same issue, or know how to fix it.  Thank you!

I didn't know that iTunes had a 64bit download. I have Windows 7 Home Premium with 64bit operation system. I downloaded the iTunes for 64bit and it seems to have corrected the problem. I haven't received the message yet since I did this.

  • HT1933 I bought six songs using my itunes gift card in February but I cannot play the songs or downlaod them to my ipod because I get an error saying the original file could not be found.  I have used the gift card previously with no issue.  How do I fix

I bought six songs using my itunes gift card in February but I cannot play the songs or downlaod them to my ipod because I get an error saying the original file could not be found.  I have used the gift card previously with no issue.  How do I fix it?

Have you moved or deleted those tracks on your computer (the gift card has got nothing to do with it) ?
You might be able to re-download them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes (re-downloading isn't possible in all countries) - if those songs appear there then delete the entries from your iTunes library (where you are clicking on them to play them and gettinf the 'original file' error), and they should then get a cloud symbol against them for re-downloading.
If they don't appear in that link then have you got them on, for example, an external drive ?

  • Error message - "The iTunes Library file is full could not be saved" - Help

    Hi folks.
I looked for current / recent chatter on this iss before creating this topic. Didn't see anything that addressed this issued recently. If I missed it, sorry, if not, here you go!
I got an error message last night while using iTunes. It just popped up during use, not while using. The error message read "The iTunes Library File could not be saved." Now my hard drive is DEFINITELY not full. I have hundreds of gigs of unused space. This appears to be an issue strictly related to my library.xml file. Stupidly, I clicked the don't show me this again and closed the message. My concern now is that I'll rip new content that won't end up in my iTunes library even though it's on my hard drive, thus that content will not be findable by iTunes.
I don't want to just rebuild the library from scratch as I have fixed tons of errors in how iTunes classifies my music over the years and all that work would be lost.
Any ideas on how to get past this glitch?
I noticed this problem also cropped up circa the original iPhone launch. I had that phone and did not experience this prob, and I just upgraded to the 3G four days ago. It makes no sense to me that the phone is causing this, but perhaps the upgrade to the iTunes version 7.7 (necessary to use the iPhone with my Windows computer) is the cause of the prob.
I did erase a bunch of videos and unsubscribed to several video casts. That was one recommended solution way back when.
My concern though is that since I chose the don't show me this error message again option, I won't know whether the problem persists or not.
    Oh the humanity...

I have seen this a few times, usually when other 3rd-party applications are using itunes. Such as, lastfm & the Tivo remote music player.
And, I've also seen it when I was copying a bunch of digital photos to the exHD in the background while playing music and the song changed. iTunes saves the playcount in the ITL file when the song ends.
You might check this Microsoft article about "Enable write caching on the disk". I haven't seen that iTunes error since I turned mine back on for the exHD. The Tivo "delayed write failed" errors are back, but that's a different problem...
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;330174
Anyway, long story short, it gets saved OK later and I make frequent backups of that ITL file.

  • Re: Itunes will not play OGG files.

I am not being combative. I asked a simple question and got a stuck up answer. The I should have got back is apple does not feel like making Itunes play OGG files. It is more of a management descion then anything else.

    Hi Mac Dudes,
I am not running Mac, but have the same problem. I have managed to get my music back by doing the following, hope this helps someone else (from my post in the windows section):
To cut a long story short...
Installed iTunes 7 over my existing 6.0.5 setup. Disaster.
No audio, Audio card now seemed to have been disabled by iTunes 7 install (SoundBlaster Audigy).
Rebooted and sound back but all audio played from iTunes 7 was distorted and impossible to listen to. Audio from Windows Media Player was fine.
Uninstalled Quicktime and iTunes 7. Downloaded iTunes 6.0.5 from Apple.
    (Windows) http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/itunes605forwindows.html
    or
    (Macintosh) http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/itunes605.html
On launching iTunes 6.0.5 I received the following error: Cannot read iTunes Library.itl as created by newer version of iTunes (or something to that effect).
Opened up my iTunes folder which I have on a separate partition and located the folder "Previous iTunes Libraries". I backed up the present .itl file into this folder (called it iTunes 7 fookup for reference) and then copied the latest .itl backup (which was iTunes Library 2006-09-13, yours may have a different date), back into the iTunes folder and renamed it to "iTunes Library.itl"
Launched iTunes 6.0.5 and my old version of iTunes is now back to its former glory and my music (thank god) is now playing as before.
<Rant Alert>Thanks for nothing Apple, that's 5 hours of my life I will never get back. As for iTunes 7, you can stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

  • Error message when trying to open iTunes files.

I just began having the problem of an error message appearing...
... if I double-click on an iTunes audio file mp3, m4a, etc. or even drag the file directly on to the iTunes application icon.
I did a rebuild of LaunchServices and rebooted but the message still will appear unless the file is opened from an iTunes playlist.
Yet the file plays in iTunes... but the error message is still there and has to be dismissed.
Whereas if I open the same file(s) via the playlist... I get no error message and the file(s) play fine.
Also if I drag the files on to QuickTime 10.0 they play fine without displaying an error message.
Though the error message indicates it's a link problem... from the above... I don't see how it can possibly be since even dragging an audio file directly on to the iTunes application icon still results in the error message appearing.
I only discovered this today when downloading Piezo and I attempted to open the m4a files it saved. So I then tried to open other iTunes files in Finder windows rather than the iTunes playlist window and had the error message appear again.
I don't want to have to add every audio file to an iTunes playlist in order to open it without the error message so can someone please suggest a fix?
    Thanks for any suggestions.
    Ron
    27" iMac, OSX 10.6.7, iTunes 10.5.2

    Well I solved my problem.
What still doesn't make sense though is that dragging iTune audio files directly on to the iTunes application icon gave me the error message... which is why I originally discounted it as being a potential link problem. If I had been able to get files to open normally (i.e. without an error message) I would have known it was a simple link problem. Strange.
Anyway... relinking my folder of audio files did the trick.
If you don't already know how here are the steps...
iTunes > Preferences > Advanced > click on the "Change" button and browse to the folder that contains all of your iTunes audio files... that's it.

  • Music files in my PC's iTunes directory have been moved around, now iTunes' index is not recognizing them and returns error messages. The files have previously been sync'd to my iPod, but when I tried to sync back from the iPod, iTunes on the PC error'd.

I want iTunes to reconstruct its index of my music.
We accidentally moved files around in my <<C:\Documents and Settings\Jordan\My Documents\My Music\iTunes>> directory. We tried to move them back, but anyway, the iTunes program now no longer can find/play the titles that the opened iTunes page/Library displays.
I had previously copied/syncd all my iTunes music to my iPod. I tried syncing back to the PC from the iPod.  No improovement.
At the moment, my dad is on my computer, logged in under his name (with administrative permissions). It seems that looking at my iTunes music under his login is still working OK.
I do not have my music backed up to the "cloud".
    What are my options?

The "missing file" error happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed the files then the chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies will make it hard to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is expecting. In such cases, as long as the missing files can be found somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.
If you have to resort to trying to pull back the library from your iPod see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • Error message  - and iTunes will not play anything at all

After scouring forums for similar issues, I have tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of iTunes with MacAfee firewall disabled. Nada. iTunes starts with an error message saying 'Configuration error, audio and video files may not play back correctly' (or similar). Library comes up and I can see my recent purchases, but nothing will play. Frustrating to say the least.
I am Windows 7, I have McAfee and Malwarebytes running.
What else can I try? This is extra infuriating as I have just purchased five albums of new music.

    Hi bsetexast,
I'm fix this problem by using Java(TM) version 6.0.200.2 that can be download from UCCX when first run CSD (supervisor desktop). Even other higher java version is valid but this problem still occur. If you install higher version, you should uninstall it first and install this version as well.

Error when opening iTunes : iTunes has stopped working '' A problem caused the program to stop working correctly''.
When I repaired damaged files the problem still exists and also after uninstalling, redownloading and reinstalling iTunes.
My pc is working with windos 8.
    Is there a solution?

    Hey there Rodney274,
It sounds like you are getting an error from iTunes when you launch it. I would try the troubleshooting in this article named:
iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1717
Start with troubleshooting for 3rd party plug ins section, then the rest of the article if needed:
    Start iTunes in Safe Mode
Open iTunes in Safe Mode to isolate any interference from plug-ins or scripts not manufactured by Apple.
Hold down Shift–Control while opening iTunes. You should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up.
    Click Continue.
See if the issue you're experiencing persists in Safe Mode.
If you have the same issue while iTunes is in Safe Mode, proceed to the "Create a new user account" section. If you don't experience the same issue, follow these steps to remove third-party plug-ins.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling
