  • Error launching Premiere Pro CS6 due to non-capable video drivers

Premiere Pro not finding any capable video drivers.   I am newly subscribed to the CS6 Creative Cloud and using a brand new Toshiba i7 windows laptop. When I try to launch Premiere Pro, I get the error message -" could not find any capable video display modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again."   This is the only/first Adobe program that I have installed so far besides the Adobe Application Manager on this machine. I believe the i7 controller should be able to handle this.  What next?

More hardware information needed... ESPECIALLY the brand/model graphics adapter in that laptop, and the driver version
    Read http://forums.adobe.com/message/4200840
    Also, some laptop information...
For effective HD video editing, a laptop with the following
-at least the Intel sandy bridge 2720 or 2820 quad processor
-1280x900 display with OpenGL 2.0-compatible graphics card
-and 8 or 16 gig ram and Win7 64bit Pro
-and 2 internal 7200 HDDs minimum
Does your graphics adapter "card or motherboard chip" and display match what I bolded?

I own an iMac 2011. I am unable to reinstall and launch premiere pro cc. We I attempt to run the program I get a error message saying that the adobe application manager is missing or need to be updated. I reinstalled the manager but I am still unable to launch any of my programs from adobe. I tried to do a trail with a program and I am still getting the same message.

Davinci thank you for the update.
Please utilize any available uninstallers that are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.  Once all of the available uninstallers have been run you will then want to rerun the CC Cleaner Tool.  You can find directions on the use of the CC Cleaner Tool and a download link at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.  After the CC Cleaner Tool is run then please reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application from Creative Cloud Help | Creative Cloud for desktop.
The CC Cleaner Tool is designed to be used after running the uninstallers.  Without running the uninstallers first then a complete removal may not be possible.

  • Unable to launch Premiere Pro CC

Hi, I've downloaded Creative Cloud, and Premiere Pro.
On launching Premiere Pro, it gets to "ImporterQuicktime.prm"
Then I get an error message: "Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules"
I've signed in and out of CC, updated the graphics drivers & tried running as administrator.
    It worked fine with CS6.
What next? I'm hoping to move to CC on 3 other edit desks - so I need to see one running right first!
    System spec:
    Windows 7 Professional
    Intel core i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz
    32gb ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti GeForce driver 320.18

    Hi, same here.
    My System:
    Dell Preciion M4700
    Windos 7 64 Bit
    Intel i7-3740QM
    ATI FirePro M4000
    8GB RAM
With my old graphic card Premiere crashed with the Message "Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules" or just right after start. I´ve tested a lot, updated Drivers and finally bought a new graphic card because my old one (Nvidia K1000M) was not listed as compatible card. With this new card, Premiere crashed instandly.
Finally the Vista compatability mode does the job. Whats wrong?
    Thanks,
    Jens

  • Error installing Premiere Pro CC

Whenever I try installing and launching Premiere Pro CC from the Creative Cloud app manager, I get the error message that "WMVCORE.DLL is missing on the system" and that I should install Windows Media Player on the system. The curious thing is that Premiere Pro CS4 is running perfectly fine on the system. I am runing the CC Aps on Windows 8, 64bit. With the other tools (e.g. Photoshop CC) there is no problem.
I already tried this help topic, however without solving the problem:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/cc-applications-crash-immediately-launch.html
Attached you see the screenshot. For all non-german speakers, all it says is that "WMVCORE.DLL" ist missing on the system and then Premiere crashes.

Okay, I got some new insights and found the solution for the problem.
It's true that my version of Windows 8 doesn't include Windows Media Player. It is due to that fact that I am running "Windows 8 Pro N edition" (64bit), which is a version for the European market and doesn't include Windows Media Player (see here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/n-editions) and the Stackoverflow reference [1].
This was also the reason why several other attempts (http://www.askvg.com/how-to-enable-or-install-windows-media-center-in-windows-8/) to install the Windows Media Center failed for me.
The solution for my problem (and for other Windows 8 Pro N users) is to install the following update (KB2703761):
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30685
Please be so kind and spread the word at Adobe. Since as far as I know this problem should affect a large amount of the "Windows 8 Pro N" users.
    References
[1] "The N edition is for the European market. It comes without Windows Media Player. It is the result of a European lawsuit against Microsoft for bundling non-essential apps into the OS." (Source: http://superuser.com/questions/495050/add-features-to-windows-8-menu-missing)

  • Intermittent problem after launching Premiere Pro CS6.0.2 - audio pitch dropped and video staggering

Intermittent problem after launching Premiere Pro - all audio is lower in frequency by very noticeable amount and video keeps dropping back a few frames every few seconds, apparently trying to keep in sync with slower audio.
This does not happen consistently, perhaps every 5 or 6 launches. Otherwise program works normally after launch and sometimes a quit and relaunch will fix the problem.
Have submitted bug report but wondered if anyone else having the same problem?
Mac OSX 10.8.4 iMac 3.4 Ghz Intel Core i7 32GB

Well if i do that, the video will raise up GBs larger (and that is really bad).
    Why is it really bad?
Its a fact of digital  life. High datarate = quality.
example ...even the Youtube preset is in the 8mpbs area.
...and you are exporting 1 hr 35mins of media.

  • When I try and launch Premiere Pro CS6 I get dynamiclinkmanager quit unexpectedly

And Premiere Pro CC never launches. And the dynamiclinkmanager window keeps coming up, to the point that i can't do anything else as the window just keeps going to the foreground. CS6 all works perfectly fine.
I am on a MacPro 4,1 running 10.8.4 with 24GB of RAM and a PC NVIDIA GTX 670 graphics card.
And honestly nothing is working in the creative cloud. Adobe Media Encoder instantly quits. Adobe Photoshop seemed to open, but forcible sends me to this web page http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/membership/index.cfm?nf=1&nl=1&productID=598&release=1.0&plat form=2&locale=en_US&source=PCSNOTIF which reads 413 Header Length Too Large and it freezes and starts the dynamiclinkmanager quit cycle again. Illustrator says Can't print the illustration. Disk full error has occured while it's printing and then quit.
I have gotten bridge cc to launch, and that is it.

  • Error launching Premier Pro after update

I am unable to launch PP.  When it lauches I get an immediate error:
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.

I've uninstalled and re-installed and continue to get error.  All other CC Suite products launch just fine...

Please see if the advice here helps: http://premierepro.wikia.com/wiki/Error:DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283

  • Error starting Premiere Pro CC

    Hi All
When I start premiere pro CC, i get an error (see attached screenshot) saying it cant find my documents location. As far as I know, I havent changed this location, it is the default windows 8 ultimate location
How to I find out what location premiere is looking for and how to i change it so i dont get these start up errors
    each time
I have had this error for some time, just getting around to reporting it, but as far as i know
i didnt change anything to cause it
The message doesnt refer to a specific project, as the error comes up at the time I launch PPro
    Many thanks
    Chris Anderson

    Hi Jim
    Thanks again for your reply
I have created a new account, and premiere opens ok with that, so it sounds like something account related as you suggested
What i really want to do is fix the original problem. The thought of setting up a new account with the various settings I have for both adobe and non-adobe apps is a bit to much
If anyone from Adobe can reply please, what has happened here?
I get the same problem if I try to install adobe reader 11. compaining invalid drive Z error 1327. Somewhere in deep down adobe it is looking for something on drive Z (i am assuming
this is the same location problem as premiere)
I have tried doing a subst z: to c: but that makes no difference
    HOW do i change this????
Also, does CC membership entitle you to Adobe support?

  • Launching Premiere Pro CS6

    Hi,
I have installed Premiere Pro CS6 via the Creative Cloud, after the application was installed via the Desktop application I could not find how to launch.
I looked in the W8 applications but there is no icon for the application.
The help in adobe site claims it is possible to launch the application by clicking the icon on the Creative Cloud, but there is no clickable icon there.

    Hi Oferh,
Strange that the Creative Cloud was installed and worked fine, but the Pr failed w/o any error and was showing to be installed.
Sorry that happened. I can see how you may have been confused. Once you have updated your OS to 64 bit, you can have access to all the video applications, like Premiere Pro and After Effects.
    Good luck,
    Kevin

  • Error in Premiere Pro CS3.

Whenever I had a problem and i posted it here, i always got helped by you guys, so first of all, i want to thank those who helped me out there, and wanted you to know that i really appreciate that help.
Here is probably my last issue with Premiere Pro CS3.
    The problem:
From time to time, i get an error. A message saying: " sorry a serious error has occurred that requires adobe premiere pro to shut down"
It saves the current project, and when i start premiere over, it loads it from there. It usually happens when:
I ' activate ' an effect, example: I change the opacity to 0 ( typing it with the keyboard as a percentage ) and press enter. Right when i press enter, it pops up. ( it happens with any kind of effect, just from time to time, when i ' activate ' it)
When i minimize an audio file by dragging it to the left or the right, it happens when i release the right mouse button. These are just examples. The issue is that when i make a change, this error repeats.
I'd love to hear what the issue may be.
    Appreciate any kind of help.

Can you give us the specs. of one of the typical Projects, and their Assets, where you see this happening?
Next, can you give us the specs. of your computer, in as much detail, as is possible?
Can you also list the programs/processes, that load at boot up? A screen-cap, or report from Process Explorer will tell us a lot.
Also, before beginning an editing session, you might want to look into this ARTICLE. If you have Win7, be sure to look down-thread for the link to Black Viper's Web site for tuning that OS.
This ARTICLE might be useful for telling you what is happening with your system and your programs, when you get the error and crash.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Run time error installing Premiere Pro 2.0

I am reinstalling a computer for one of my users on an XP PRo system and I get a run time error when installing Premiere PRo 2.0.  I believe this happened the first time I installed as well but I can no longer get support directly from Adobe.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Bogus!
I'll see if I can find something on it. I recall linking to the source page in a fairly recent thread. However, as we know, some of the older post (pre-Big Bang... ) might be gone for ever. When I last posted on the RunTime.dll, I checked the links and they were still active then.
If I can find more, I'll post back.

[Edit] Here is the LINK to that Adobe article. I am off to explore the links within.
PS I found the link within one minute of posting this. In that time, the Adobe forum logged me out. Doncha' just love the new fora?
